Condor Mountains, South of Condor City, Muscovan:

The sound of war was deafening in the normally silent Condor Mountains the Muscovan Rebel Army had launched an all out counter-offensive against the Muscovan Confederacy a mere month ago from the south of the nation the Rebel attack had caught the Confederacy by complete surprise as a result the Confederates whom where Socialist in ideology had suffered defeat after defeat and now the Rebels where at the Muscovan Capital of Condor. The Rebel Army was advancing from a total of 3 directions. Primarily they intended to attack from the Condor Mountains, secondly from the Rebel held city of Handono which was south of Condor along the Handon Trail and finally using its small fleet of Naval ships the Rebels would attempt to take control of Condors beaches and ports with its Marines.

In the mountains the main rebel force had proceeded to launch massive Artillery strikes on the city which was supporting a fleet of 20 Xian H-6 Bombers and 45 Jian-8 in a mass air campaign. The Confederates had attempted to counter attack with their own Fire Support Group (FSG) on the other side of the battlefield in the strategic Condor Hills and with its Type 99 Main Battle Tanks that had left the city and attempted to charge into the mountains. However the Rebels stood strong and repelled the Counter-Strike, these exchanges had gone on for some 9 hours now and with the sun now rising brightly into the clear morning sky the rebel infantry and tanks that had been growing impatient where finally ordered to begin final attack preparations. As soon as the various Rebel Commanders reported their readiness the Artillery barrage intensified and the small air force concentrated its fire on the enemies front lines and then it happened the Muscovan Rebel Army began its advance down the mountains spearheaded by 1st Light Infantry Division and 2rd Armoured Division the main Rebel force began its advance.

At the same time the 7th Mechanised Infantry Division and 10th Armoured Division began its advance along the Handon Trail an advance perilous with Mines and the Confederate 2rd Banner Brigade. Simultaneously with both Rebel land advancements the small rebel navy led by the Invincible Class Carrier Nighthawk opened up with a massive barrage on the Confederate held port the Rebel Navy thankfully was unopposed as the Confederate Navy had been destroyed 4 days previously by the Rebels at the strategic naval battle of Tolandoland however Rebel intel had found that whilst the Confederacy had no navy Condor port was heavily defended with Scud Launchers modified to fire Anti Shipping Missiles as a result the Air Complement of the Carrier Nighthawk would not only have to provide defensive air cover for the fleet it would have to engage the Port Defences and render what assistance it could to rebel advance.

With the advance into Condor slow with little air support available to either side the battle was bloody, fanatical and was been waged street by street, house by house and in some cases room by room. Furthermore this battle had much more symbolic aspect the legally elected political leader of Condor who had organised and led the Rebels whom was captured in battle by the Confederate Communists was being held in the practically impenetrable Condor Castle which sat in the Condor Hills and was acting not only as the enemies GHQ but was also supplying the enemy FSG with a constant stream of ammo, a formidable enemy itself the rebels had hatched a plan an elite unit of rebel troops led by the mysterious Rebel Commander Strider was to be inserted 2 clicks behind Condor Castle and the Enemy FSG by Chinook Helicopter based off the Rebel Navies Second Carrier the Dark Huntsman in total Striders Diehards as they where known would number around 100 Combat Personnel and would be inserted by a total of 3 CH-47 Chinooks which would be escorted by a combination of Harrier Fighters and Apache Gunship’s. With no landing point the Diehards would be inserted by Fast Rope in a position chosen by the Pilots once on the ground it would literally be a Suicide Mission as they would have no Tank or Artillery Force, limited Fast Air Support due to Air Defences based around the Castle and the Enemy FSG and no chance of reinforcements as such in essence Striders Diehards would be operating alone and would be themselves attacking from the previously open fourth flank. Striders Suicide Mission as it was colourfully known was simple to engage and defeat the enemy FSG, Attack and Penetrate the Castle to rescue the Rebel Leader and to destroy all air defences around the Castle and FSG so the Fleet could evac its leader to safely.

The Battle for Condor had now begun, the War for Muscovan had possibly entered its Conclusion only time would tell.
