the proud nation of sammy34 has sad news. up to 275 years ago our nation was a subject colony of the island nation of trushia.we over threw our oppessiors. then 50 years ago after ten years of struggle (started by the trushiaion government) we were able to invade and liberate the peoples of trushia. after nearly half a century of being a province of sammy34, the elected govener of trushia has declared our occupation is and was illeagle and that trushia is an independet nation. i ask the nations of the world stay out of what is an internal affer of sammy34. thank you: president hart.

Why are you posting this if no-one is supposed to pay any attention to it? Is that OOC or IC? Heard of something called grammar?
'over threw' is all one word.
'govener' is governor,
'independet' is independent,
'illeagle' is illegal,
'affer' is affair.
Read the stickies? Looked at other people's RPing to see how it's done?
And the post is so short and inconcise that I don't really know what is happening!

Please find a better title, learn to spell, learn to use grammar, and don't tell me you're one of those all-OOC people that don't know what OOC or IC is and who litters everywhere with their smilies. Good day.

Also, if English isn't your mother language, then post some things in your mother language! It makes things look authentic. For instance, a Chinese person speaks:

"When I was little, I didn't get to do blah blah blah. 对不对? Then, 为什么你可以作呢?"

Y'know? At least make an effort. Read the stickies; they help a lot.]

the newley minted admiral jim lockhart looked at his new "fleet". how the King expect him to wage a war with just one smallish carrier and a destroyer? when asked king Otto had just smiled and told him to be at the dock at 6:00 am. well, here he was and nothing was happening. Jim had just decided that his royal higness was out of his mind when, a sudden massive eruption of water shot up about 200 yards off the dock. the eruption was followed by three more. when all haze had cleared what he saw made him smile. offshore were two trytion class missle subs, and one ashton attack sub. the missle boats had twenty nukes each and the attack boat would act as escort. the real prize however, was the other vessel. it was nonother then the Vincent James, a massive Regent class submersible carrier sporting unheard of array of planes and bombs. the only thin that Jim could think was "how long has this rebellion been being planed." then he laughed and went to see the king.

The submarine moved slowly, barely running above eight knots, using as little engine power as needed. Slowly but surely, the submarine moved towards the coast. There, it would drop of Pollis Team Six, who would set up surveillance booths around the small country. In case Theoroshia could, it would seize the chance and invade.

Not yet, however. Not yet.

-Onboard I.D.S. Venture, Flagship 2nd Fleet. Outside St. John-

Admiral Argan watched the sonar screen, "Are you sure that the message was correct?"
"Yes, sir," replied the radio officer. "I recorded it myself. A Regent-class submarine carrier."
"And you?" he asked the sonar officer.
"I agree, sir," the young man replied, "Sonar did pick up something, but it was too distant to get a clear reading."
"Very well." Argan stood up and moved to the center of the bridge. "Signal the Gondor: I want sonar bouys deployed right away. Light up the harbor."
"Yes sir."
"And have our submarines stand by to aquire the target. As soon as it's lit, fire a dummy torpedo. That should get their attention."

------

Onboard the escort carrier I.D.S. Gondor, two V-18 helicopters began to warm up, as their rotors started to spin. The deck crews scrambled clear, and the helicopters lifted up into the air. A few minutes later, and they were over the harbor. The crews slid open the side doors and began to drop small canisters, each the size of a thermous. As each one entered the water, it began emitting sonar waves. Slowly, the crews flew over the entire harbor, then moved to cover the entrance. They stopped as they got near their own line of submarines. Mission completed, they headed back to the carrier to refuel and reload. If any enemy subs were in the waters around St. John, they'd find them...

(OOC: assume that my surface ships are plenty clear of the harbor, with the patrol subs forming a line accross the harbor entrance.)

Captain Banthos Watched the distruction through his parascope. He could see the cloud of gas slowly drift over the city. "What kind of war is this?" he thought outloud. "Do we have anything yet?"
"No sir," replied the sonar officer. "No contacts."
Banthos continued to watch through his parascope. His squadron, Combat Group 203, was in blockade position outside of Benton Harbor. But so far, no military ships had tried to penetrate their line. Ships under neutral flags were told to stay either outside the port or remain docked, but no military targets had been found...

"FIRE FULL SPREAD!!!" six torpedoes streaked out tword their target. "DIVE" the capton shouted and the boat started to go down and away. "Admiral!" shouted the radio officer.
Argan looked up from his charts. "Yes, What is it?"
"Defender DA-25 was just attacked!"
"WHAT?!" Argan jumped up and headed for the bridge. "Report!"
The captain of the Venture turned to the admiral. "Sir, DA-25 reports explosions in their anti-torpedo nets. At least two hits. A third torpedo got through and damaged their rudder and propellers."
"Ship's status?"
"Disabled. I was going to call in a tug."
"No," Argan replied. "Tell them to drop anchor. Remain in position for the time being. We may need their air-defense weapons. Now, how did this enemy ship get close to us without being spotted by the sonar bouys?"
"The attack came from outside the blockade lines. We believe that the submarine was already out before we arrived."
"Get out boats after it!" Argan ordered. "They have fired the first shot. Now we are free to engage!"

Two subs, SPN-72 and SPN-75, had picked up the attacker on sonar and were giving chase. One was cruising near parascope depth, while the other moved along the bottom. Their goal was to catch the enemy sub in a vertical crossfire, and both moved into firing position. Barly a minute later, eight torpedoes from above and below, were heading straight for the target...

the triten BOSTOWN also moved, but tword sammy34, "why 34?" the captian wondered to himself as he prepaired the strike team. it was the same team that had captured the tanker for the "terroist" attack on benton. nothing like a little deception in war to clowd things. it had even affected the crew, it had made them laugh at the way his royal highness was playing the press. only president hart insisting that Otto XXIII was behind it kept them from praising the "heroes" of the "oppressed" people. well that voice would not be saying anything for long.

They were on a course that was almost, but not quite, a straight line between Delkor and Sammy 34. Admiral Darragorn was in his quarters, when he heard a knock at the door. "Enter."
Captain Daron (ooc: picture sean connory from Red October) entered, "You wished to see me?"
"Yes, please come in." Darragorn guestered to a pair of leather chairs. "I wanted to review the 'battle'. Very impressive, you had me totally by surprise."
"Thank you. It was a standard bait-and-switch manuver. I gave you a possible target, then attacked while you were distracted."
"But I knew it was a distraction."
"Until my third group moved in. You fell for the same trick twice in a row."
"Nevertheless, it was a brillient move. You demonstrated your skill in submarine tactics." He reached into his pocket, and removed a pin. "You are aware of the reasons behind this naval exercise."
"To provide our crews with needed experiance, of course," Daron replied.
"Yes," said Darragorn, "that, and to test the skills of one of our best officers." He stood up, and handed the pin to Daron. "Congratulations, Commodore Daron. You have shown that you are one of our best commanders."
Daron took the pin and held it in his hand. "Thank you, sir," he said after a moment. "I am honored."
"You will be transfered to a new command," said Darragorn. "The 6th Fleet."
"I thought there were only five fleets?"
"The 6th is heavely classified. It is made up of the 9 Omega-class missile submarines."
"I see," Daron thought about this for a moment. "I accept. On one condition."
"Yes?"
"I would like to take my crew from the Theta with me."
"Agreed." Darragorn saluted. "Good hunting, Commodor Daron."
Daron returned the salute, "And to you, Admiral Darragorn." He turned and left the cabin. Soon, he was back in the motor boat being ferried to his submarine...

then massive carrier broke the sea surfice 200 miles off delkor just long enough to launch two aircraft. one was a f-22 raptor fighter-bomber equiped with one pulse n-wepon. the other was a twelve-man foster transport chopper. bouth headed for the first fleet at 100 feet. the f-22 about ten miles in frount of the foster. at about 20 miles out the raptor broke for the celining and radar coverage of the enemy. the piolet knew that he was not comming home from this. planes from the first fleet were on him before he came within wepons range of the fleet, just as the first interceptor fired so did the f-22. the nuke shot up to 30,000 feet where it burst sending out a magnetic pulse that would temperaly disable the radar of the fleet just long enough for the chopper to slip by.

the chopper made it to about a mile off the coast before the crew landed on the floats and off loaded into a assult boat. they then diabled the floats and as the boat rocketed on to the beach the chopper sank. the hit team then doned their civies and disappered into the night.

meanwhile, vincent James turned back toward home waters.

from president hart of sammy34.

am troubled by your report of the actions involving the second fleet. we think that the reason for the attack may be because the enemy may feel too week to hit you directly. they may have put a "black ops" team on your soil. five such teams have been reported to have 'gone over' to the other side. also we have had no luck in finding out where the Regant came from, but we now have been able to put a name to it. it is named after a fomer king of trushia "vincent james". furthermore be aware that spies state that King Otto has not been seen in some days. request that we bouth put a team ashore to locate and if need be eleminate 'HIS ROYL HIGHNESS'.your team would ofcourse be under your command. contact gen. fisher 1st army special corps. for details.

From: Admiral Argan, Cmd 2nd Fleet
Subject: Plan of Action
Message:
Mr Hart. My forces in your waters have doubled with the arrival of the 4th Fleet. Also, I am expecting to be joined by the 6th Fleet. This is a group of ballistic missile submarines, armed not with nuclear weapons, but burst missiles. They detonate above the target and spread hundreds of explosive warheads accross a 2.5 mile radious, and will take out any aircraft below 5000ft. I suggest we begin negotiations via radio with these rebels, as the High King has ordered that any terrorist attack carried out on our home soil will be met with a missile strike on a possible rebel stronghold.

The young sailor watched the sonar screen, his hands pressed against his earphones. He was waiting for something, something he new he saw. Suddenly, there it was! A large contact, non Delkorian, tring to slowly move past the blockade line. It would have gotten away, if the young man wasn't so determined to find it. "Commander!" he shouted, "Contact! Bearing 327!"
"Positive ID?"
"Not one of ours! Looks big, possible that Regant-class sub we were warned about."
"Alright. End silent running! Bring the reactor up to full power! Flood the torpedo tubes and open launch doors! Signal the Fleet for support!" The crew rushed to carry out his orders, eager to strike at the enemy. The submarine SAN-15 started to rise off the seabed where it had been hiding, near the extreme end of the blockade line. Silence no longer needed, it ran up to full power, chasing after its prey, calling for others to join in the hunt. after a minute, three more subs, the SAN-18, SAN-24, and SDN-12, were also moving to intercept. Their prey would not escape again...

the admiral knew he was being hunted as soon as the sonor man spoke. he had three options, one was to turn and fight, the second was to surrender the third {the one he chose} was to run "CRASH DIVE!" he ordered' "PUT US ON THE BOTOM. RIG FOR SIELENT RUNNING!! LAUNCH DECOY TORPEDOES!" he had chosen this areia because of its depth and rocky bottom. it would take time, If they thought any of the three decoys were the JAMES, for the enemy subs to sort out where he had chosen to hide. time that he could use to possably get away. if not, he had orders to launch everything he had. eather way, he knew that his nations hope rested not in one regent, but in twelve men. six in delkor, six in sammy34. the hull made a grinding noise, "sir we're on the bottom!" the helmsmen reported. OOC: just a note, most military submarines operate up to depths of 800-1000 meters, max. My Theta-class subs, which are based on the russian's Alfa-class, have a max depth of 1300 meters, only obtainable due to their smaller size and titantium hulls. In fact, the Titanic rests about 2.4 miles down, and could only be reached by tiny 3-man mini subs, like Alvin and Mir. Due to your sub's large size, I would suggest a max depth of about 750-825 meters.

My country is smallish and I've yet to fill out

Only RL tech and tactics.
That would be my second question,

[OOC: I know that this is all for fun, but please, even if you are dyslexic at least make the effort to make your posts look more organised. And since you are dyslexic, people will respect you more (or they should) for your efforts. I realise that you may confuse some words, such as "DAMN" with "DANM", or "meeting" with "meating", but at least try. Few will expect perfect posts, but it needs not be flashy. Consider your previous post, and what I interpret:

President Hart took one of the few breaks he allowed himself to have to look at his schedule for the following day. Excluding the routine, he was to drive out to look at the damage in Benton (city, I presume?). The area had finally been cleared of toxins. With the possibility of an enemy carrier in the region, aerial transport was not an option. With Hart's break over, he called in his director of the CIA. "Well, Bob," Hart said, "Tell me you know what the Reagent is up to and where it is."

"I have no knowledge, sir, but we have confirmed that the escort carrier is still bottled up in the harbour. They have apparently begun loading the aircraft to shore bases."

Hart shouted at him. "Damn it, we can't force a crossing until we know what side that damn sub is on. If it is neutral, then fine, but if not we must sink it."

"Sir, at least we can still bomb them."

"They've moved EVERYTHING underground," the President retorted, "and half that freaking island is living in some cave, subway, shelter or just Hell itself! We need to either talk that idiot out of this madness, or force him to his knees. To do that we need our boots on the ground!" He had never before looked forward to a four hour car ride as much as he did at that moment! Still, the meeting went on...

That's how I viewed it. I'm probably just rambling now, and if you wish me to begone, I will do so. Please, though, try to improve the readability of your posts; while I understand your plight, it makes for a better experience for all. I apologise if you are offended.]

OOC: Sammy34, I'm not trying to be a critic. I'm only talking logically. A 2.5 miles max dive depth for that large of a submarine is a little on the far-fetched side. Use my above suggestion. It is a bit more realistic, and believeable. If you want to continue with a 2.5 mile depth, I'm game. Just note that in future RP's, others may complain that you are godmodding, as a carrier-battle submarine that large that can go that deep can avoid almost any kind of attack. Just something to keep in mind for the future...

The officer fell to the ground, as another pulled his own sidearm and fired at the attacker. Three more officers, all in 'RailRoad Police' uniforms, ran to the group, weapons drawn. "Drop your weapon and surrender!" one shouted, as they surrounded the attacker. The wounded officer crawled away, his chestplate still smoking from the impact...

Will redirect an old ( 1980's) Bulk Cargo ship with a manifest listed
as farm Machinery to move course to thirty miles off shore as it passes
the Coast line of Sammy34.
On board the foreward hold there is a sophisticated electronics measuring
suite.
They are listening to the chatter on radio and other unrestricted channels.
Searching for a reasonable explanation for the Cascade States to enter
into the battle without looking like they were aggressors.
The ship is also using passive and active sonar as well as civilian radar
to monitor ships and naval vessels in the area.
On the ground in Sammy34 half a dozen unarmed "observers"
are watching the media outlets in the country to see what it is going
to do against the rebels. They are carrying visa's or travel papers and
are not to engage in any capacity at all. Only to observe and then to
report back to their government.

The Bulk cargo ship will move clear of any "hostile actions" and avoid
military vessels by atleast thirty miles if possible.
When contacted by any vessel, the captain will send a standard
message that they are a registered cargo ship carrying legal cargo,
and have no interest in any military actions.
Furthermore they will follow any actions which a military vessel with
regards to staying at a "safe distance".
The captain will release all information about who and where's and what's.
So there is no question that they are Not taking part in hostile actions.

About the displacement of naval forces,
Could we have a map of some sort with the main land / island

ooc: answers. the sub has some stelth functions, but as you might imanage somthing that size can't really be hidden too much. it relies mostly on an experienced captian and crew, also it uses open water more then being trapped in coastal waters.the idea is that it tries to avoid areas where they might be sighted. as to the the map, i will try to get one drawn up, but i really don't know much about that sort of thing. maybe one of you could help with that?

OCC: With respect, just because a sub is NOT moving does not make it
"invisible" nor is it undetectable.
Passive sonar is Listening to the sound of an engine or other vessel.

Active Sonar is Looking For a vessel, by way of bouncing sounds from a point
OR points ( boats ) and listening to the replied echo's.
If an area does not bounce a sound back, Or the returning sound does not
match the ocean floors topography, than by way of adding up the facts a
Sonar crew can establish that "something" is making the sound dissappear.
Now the Reason stealth Aircraft work is because the air beyond the plane
is normally a void on radar, so the fact that "nothing" is bouncing the radio
waves back is how you avoid it.
Sonar is bouncing a sound from A to B, and If along the way it takes Less
time than it should, than there is something between you and the Sea floor.
By Hiding in one place, a submarine is only safe as long as no ship scans that
area.
Most civilian vessels ( large commersial ) have a sonar of say 10 to 30 miles
around the boat, by a mile or .5 deep.
Military vessels and some High end civilian vessels like research ships,
can sweep an area of 1 mile deep to 2 miles deep and 10 to 50 miles around
the ship.
A grid search pattern of naval vessels can ( say 6 ships) can search accurately an area of 50 miles wide by 1 mile deep at 10 to 15 knots...
If they used Towed Sonar arrays, they could almost double the search
area in the same time.
We don't need a map with scale down to the half mile,
we only need a blue blob, a green blob and a large brown and green blob.
Then it needs some grid accrossed it. so we can say I'm in Section A, grid
9...
Or something like that.
And an idea as to how many square miles are in one grid or section.
After that someone could fill in the cities and other points of interest.
But without the ability to say " I'm here, moving there" and " Joe moves
this way"
We're all going blind and trying to shoot each other without ever knowing
who's where.
I'm not riding anyone's back, but we do need some way to co-ordinate
what we are doing, and don't even need to tell each other what's going
on in detail until someone else has moved ahead.

the president was enjoying his ride out to benton, untill word of the air attack reached him. "Danm!" hart thought as his car took a conner on the road that ran along the pladin cliffs. "another attack by that danm sub? he thought to him self,"no, the delkor navy is chaseing it over 1000 miles away in their own waters." the escort carrier was still bottled up, so was it king Ottos rebels or was it some other power steping up. he was just turning his mind to who it could be when, the world went to hell. first the lead escorting suv vanished in flames. then the other escort stopped and deployed the ssu unit that was his personal guard. his diver floored the gas as the team engaged the unseen enemy. they had just cleared the flaming suv when his limo was thrown sideways by an explosin. the driver tried to regain control, but it was too late. the limo sailed out over the 150ft cliff and inpacted the water below.....

Cascade States
25-02-2008, 23:27
Yes I do agree that the sub could be hidden for some time, but
it's HUGE. I did some rough calculating, and I'll post the figures latter,
but this thing is atleast FOUR times larger than an American Nimitz
class Carrier.
So Here goes;
Deck Measures in Feet, not Meters; 684ft x 108ft x 26.5ft
total dimensions are; length 1,092ft x 252ft x 39.03ft draft
max speed 32knots with a powerplant of 260,000 hp.
at a cost of 4.5 billion USD

It displaces 95,000 tons ( Surfaced )
and carries the following; Total
2 fighter squadrons of ( QT: 12 ) F/A-18C hornets ( 24 planes )
2 fighter squadrons of ( QT: 12 ) F/A-18F Super Hornets ( 48 planes )
1 Squadron of (QT: 4 ) E-2C Hawkeye AEW ( 52 planes )
1 Squadron of ( QT: 4 ) Viking Anti-sub patrol ( 56 planes )
1 Squadron of ( QT: 12 ) C-2A Greyhound Supply( 68 planes )
1 Squadron of HH-60 (QT: 6 ) helicopters ( 74 planes )

And it's 3,000 sailors to keep a ship,
and all of the point defence, communication equipment and
regular supplies.

But now we've to put all of these supplies into a cigar that holds
2x as many planes, and support people. And keep it all water tight.
And have ballast tanks to submerge. ( 190,000 tons displacement )
Surfaced, and double that ( roughly ) to sink it. ( 380,000 tons )
All of those ballast tanks take up space and weight

A ship this large would only have a hand full of places where it could
hide on the sea floor.
I'm not saying you Could Not build it or Use it.
But it's limitations are so great,
once you do move it, the sound of it's engines would be astounding,
and it would take multiple nuclear engines, which would cause the water around
the boat to heat...
This would be visible by satellites or even boats in the area.
It would also need all of the accommodation's of a Nuclear submarine,
but would not I repeat NOT be able to engage in any ship to ship conflict
without sustaining nearly lethal damage in the battle.
Any damage to a Sub is serious, but an Air Craft Carrier Has to Have
Lots of Open room to keep planes and weapons...
Anyway my point is,
Yes we are working under the premise that this Is Real, and it is out
there.
It wouldn't take a genius long to work out how many holes in the Ocean
would be big enough to hide said behemoth, and How Fast Can It travel
submerged?
Then you draw a circle around the last point it was known to be,
mark off the distance it could travel every hour, and lay this over
a map of the sea floor.
With this boat moving submerged, it would cause the ocean to swell
( Unnaturally ) when it moved. And that too would be mappable by spy
Satalites.
this is exactly how we've hunted Subs for seventy years.

I am not trying to be mean, I like Subs, but if it's a RL game,
we've got to try and hold the theoretical limits of tech.

And I'm trying to Moderate as well as participate, so if that's an
issue to anyone else just tell me?

The Dictator had decided,
he called up 5 reserve Cargo ships and ordered them to be readied in 72 hours.
They would have troops called up, supplies registered and loaded.
Then the military planners would have three days to plan their activities.
The civilian observers were recalled home,
and a couple of reconnaissance planes to do fly overs of the island,
and territorial waters.
Also a KC refueling airplane,
a AWAC surveillance plane
and an escort of six F-35JSF fighters.

1 aircraft career zss zachtar
2 destroyers (defending the career)
100,000 men active and ready to fight (but no yet)
250,000 reserves
250 jets
1,550 tanks active and ready to move (when told)

all other info id rather not say for the sake of the rp since they will be important for it.
note. im not saying that i have a non large army but if i was to invade now this is all i could send.

If I might suggest,
You'll need more than just tanks and infantry,
there's support and logistics to consider,
who's going to fuel your tanks, feed your men,
work on tanks when they get shot up...
Don't forget that there's a Huge Army, but only a few fighting men.
Most of an army is guys ( and girls) supplying the troops with food,
bullets and gas.
Otherwise, you'll get shot up and have no medics, mechanics, or
other essentials.
Thankyou for including me in your plan,
I will send you more on what I'm doing as soon as I can budget my
own country and military.

How long he lay on the rocky out-cropping, the man did not know. he only knew that he had to get out of the weather, it looked like rain was comming in. if he wanted to live long enough to be founnd he had to move under cover. going up was inpossable, he was in too rough of a shape to try the 50 degree incline, down while it would be painful was doable. so, down he went untill he came to a long white beach. "north or south?" he asked himself."not that it matters." bouth bein equil, he flipped a coin. "north it is" he said. ather a long time (he still was having trouble telling how long and his watch was a complete loss) he literly stumbled onto a rundown fishing shed. opening the door he entered then for the first time he really took stock of himself. he had a badly banged up, possably broken left sholder. his right forarm had what looked to be eather a bad 2nd or minor 3rd degree burn on the back hand side from wrist to elbow. his ears wouldn't stop ringing other then that, he only had a few minor cut and bruses. not bad concerdering what had happened. then he took stock of the shed. not that there was much, no food but there was a few rods and reels and a tackle box {he probly wouldn't starve}. he had a chair, a stove, fire wood, and....a radio. "Now we're talking",he thought. he turned it on:

"laides and gentlemen the vice-president" the voice said. "my fellow sammieans. it is my sad duty to report that president harts motorcade was the victum of an apperent avalanch while on his way to inspect the benton area. no surviers have been found and the president renmains amoung the missing. therefore i have assumed the role of acting president and as my first act i intendto enter into talks with His Highness King Otto. the point of these talks will be to defuse the current situation between us. thank you and goodnite."

DELKOR is,at my request, is engageing in a blockade. read my first post in this thread for a history. his capatial is st. john. also i had to make their main navial threat <the sub-carrier> an inpressive beast because they have almost no other navy. i had to come up with a way to make it plasuable that my navy and army just did'nt invade. that would have made the game much shorter then i inted for it to be. hope this clears up any outstanding uestions. if you have or eather post them or messige me. thank you!

as he positioned his fleet to join the delkor navy, adrmeral archer looked over the 3rd fleets order of battle for the blockade. with just two carriers to cover four ports, he would be counting on the delkor to do alot more then he really liked. it wasn't that he did'nt trust them, no nation was a stronger supporter of sammy34 then delkor. it was just that sammy should'nt have needed the help to much was happening. things had moved too far and too fast for a rebellion that untill a few weeks ago had'nt even exesisted. on top of that, their FIRST attack they crippled the one force that had a chance of ending things quickly. it would take mounths to decon the ships of the 1st fleet and even longer to replace the personal lost. untill then sammy had only the carrier battle groups of the 3rd as power projection assests with the 7th being used as home defence/reserve fleet untill the reserve fleet could be taken out of mothballs.

I don't know if you've been paying close attention to this post,
but this is NOT a war you want your ships to get in on. This is likely
to be a brutal and hiddious campaign which will decimate multiple fleets.
And in the hands of a layman of Naval warfare it's likely to end in near
disaster for your forces. I am not laying any critical remarks on Sammy34,
or any of the other players in this.
I merely see a huge and bloody series of ship battles which will be costly
to those who have flung their forces into this conflict.
I've no idea yet what's going on with land forces,
But if you're new to the thread, I'd humbly suggest that you withdraw your
forces ( No harm, no shame ).

Captain of A.M.S. Abolth,
has his skycrane helicopters moving freight, at 20,000lbs per load,
and the cargo containters weigh 5,000lbs empty.
We can deliver; 30,000lbs ever half hour?
Refueling barge will have arrived about two or three hours after your

Can move 10,000 gallons an hour, is only carrying 20,000 gallons.
Will await for your Nations instructions before we do anything about
entering into disputed waters.

Supporting the Island is cool so am I, as well as the German Z,
but you should have asked Sammy34 before jumping into
this thread,
as for TommyV,
you have to remember that this is a text based game,
and if someone launched an attack ( uninvited )all the
defending country has to do is say "IGNORE" and ask them
to stop posting.
People who's countries do not stop posts which are found
to be harassing have had their accounts canceled.
This is a nice little war but is already confusing enough,
I do not believe that it's RP would be better served with
more players, and more people who'd need to be consulted
with before any actions could be fairly taken in game.
If you'd like, there is a good possibility of another
war taking place soon. And it will be a point based system
so that everyone's forces are quantified and comparable.

( I've been talking with another guy who's trying to build a
point base for any one to use in the threads )

But please, do not seek to involve more nations in this
dispute, it will only anger the other people who are playing
now.

the carrier zachtar moved in with 3 other carriers and 2 battleships. This was one of 4 ship groups including the command ship zss.prince of new ford, under the command of admiral glent. In about 3 hours the zachtar would launch the first wave of bombers to hit strategic points (including the capital) in which after a long bombing run, would sent paratroopers to their main target wile groups 2 and 4 head to the souther side of sammy34. where they will land troops and capture the 2 beaches, codenamed platypus and walrus. with group 1 heading to groups 2,4 and will hold the southern coastline until more ships arrive. Soon the first bombers (with small fighter escort) headed out into sammy34 to begin operation Sammy downfall.................

Within twenty minuets his crew had been made ready, and the other shipping vessels had reported to him that they too were ready. As his was the largest ship, he would take the leadership,
so he called for the Ships over 5,000t to spread out about five miles apart,

To port he ordered; “Narwhale”, and “Sealion Sally” To Starboard he ordered; “Tubby‘s Trawler”, “Glory of Gibraltar” And behind he called “Sea Cow“
For the first ship called “ Thor‘s Horse” as they had very good Sonar and would be fast enough to move around any new obstacles.
Then To port and Starboard would come Pleasure Boats, “ M.S. Puffin”, and “Pelican,”

Behind and To port and Starboard two miles From “Dise Dicke Berta 2” came; Bulk Cargo ships, “ Cape Ape” and “ Ocean Side”

Cargo ship “ Rocky” was hanging back to near last in the convoy.

The other 48' Otam Cigarette Heritage 45’s are running in and out the other ships, as they are cigarette boats, that’s what they are for.

The Captain sounded a call to his crew that all hands should be
sent to the armory if they had not already picked up their weapons.
That the Merchant Marines, and every other crewman was to report to
Boarding stations untill his word.
Merchant Marines were to meet inside the bulkheads and corridoors around
the control tower, Heavy weapons would be carried by the Marines, small
arms by the crew, to Meet half on Port, Half of Starboard.
And wait inside until ordered otherwise.

The Captain looked down from his bridge at the two small ships coming
to board him.
" Like hell I'm going to let a couple of puddle pirates' ships take my command,".

And saw that everyone was in place for the Boarding, Every one had body armor
and helmets, life jackets ( the inflating kind ) and what ever weapon they
had been issued by the Master of Arms.

" I want this done by the numbers, these boys are Sammy34's finest, so
threat them like it, I want all of you at ease until you are ordered out to
you stations. Take up positions and do not back down, Remember
to check with to officer of your quarter...,"
The Captain looked down the first column of men who were filling the bridges stairwell and hallways.

" IF things get hairy, and they start shooting, then take your places and
fire back. Otherwise, I'll see if we can sort this all out Bridge to Bridge.,"
He paused as he looked over the newest crew and continued;
"Now go to your stations.,"

And the men went to their places, Some were working their way down the
long corridors of cargo containers, a few men would pop into one box.
While others headed farther down.
All of the tech's went to their stations and watched Sonar
and Radar screens, monitored Radio and Sat links.

"watch your spaceing ensin," the capton ordered.

the helmsmen answered," eye sir." and adjusted his course.

"fire across their bow." the capt. ordered and the main gun barked." not on the bridge my ass!"

On the bridge,
The Navigator, ship's pilot and a radio man were looking over the 300+meters
of deck when they heard the report of the destroyer's turret.

" They're SHOOTING?!", The Radio man was on his second haul with the ship and
had never been shot at since he left the Navy's Anti-piracy courses.

The Navigator Looked up from the instruments as he heard the shell cross the
bow.
Reports were coming in from the Radar opps room.

He pounded the overhead PA system which would reach all of the crew,
" Attention all hands, this is the Bridge... The Captain is NEEDED up here.
THEIR SHOOTING NOW!," His voice gave a slightly worried tone at the
end.

The Captain Swore as he was passing the last of his crew Everyone
else had reached their stations.
He hauled it up the stairs until he reached the bridge, the two Merchant
Marines saluted as he passed.

The Captain ordered a report,

"What's their range? And what have they done?,"

The Radio operator said.
" We told them you were talking to the crew... But he seemed to take
offense sir.,"

The Pilot explained, " They ordered us to stop, present all crew, our ships
logs and then they shot at us.,"

The Captain looked out over the bridge windows at the destroyers and
their guns.

He said, " Well I think their turret is bigger than the small arms we've got.,"
" Well then tell them We'll slow down and we can talk this all over.,"

The Radio operator got on and hailed the Destroyer.

As I've been out of it for a while,
has anyone talked to them?
And are they still participating in this thread?
I'm hoping the answer is yes to both.

The Captain got on the Loud Speakers as well as the radio when he flicked on
both switches from the bridge sets.

His voice was firm but not Threatening,
" To Sammy34 Destroyer, On what
grounds are you demanding to board my ship? We are a foreign, and WERE IN
INTERNATIONAL WATERS. Now that you have ordered us to slow you have
delayed our cargo delivery. If we are In your waters Now it is not our fault
since you ordered our course and speed changed.,"

He paused before continuing,
" If any hostile action is taken against this ship, Our Company will
take all possible actions against you in the World Assembly, And we
might request either friendly or Neutral forces to assist us in our defense.
I do not wish there to be any problems with our ships or nations,
Please allow us to return to our shedual.,"

Then the Captain turned off his mic' and asked the Comm Officer to
ready an emergency distress call and wait to send it. One was for
Military assistance, the other for any ship's or aircraft which could
render aid.

The Captain mulled this over for a while before he came to his decision.

The Captain picked up the Radio and hit the loud speaker button; and messaged the Sammy34 Destroyer

" It is the belief of this ship's Captain that We are subject to the laws of the
United Nations with regards to the Open Oceans...
That our present position may now be within your territorial waters, but that
is only because we were ordered to do so by a military vessel.
We are returning to our original course and heading now, that if you have a disagreement with our Company or Nation's policies you should take it up with
the head of our Company, Nation, or the United Nations...,"

There was a pause before he continued;

" Since you are not acting in accordance with established International agreements with regards to Open Ocean and shipping laws. It is the opinion
of this ship's Captain that We Are Not required to open our Cargo manifest
to you here and now.
Your actions not following the Established laws of the Sea, we may regard any further hostile actions taken by you or your ships may be
seen as acts of piracy.,"

The news was reaching the Military leaders of The Armed Republic of Cascade States that their cargo ships and other assets in the area were some how
entangled with Military assets of the Sammy34 government.

The Cascade States Air force and Naval Commanders were gathering all
the information they could on the ships in that area.
Then using SAT photo images and local intell about what was going on.

Then the Army Commander of Off Shore Operations was notified,
he was told that he should mobilize the 1st Division Army Airborne and ready
the second and third divisions but to place the First Division ready and loaded
in Two days time.

The General of The Air Force was given the task of preparing an expeditionary
force to " Protect and preserve " Our shipping lanes in a war zone.

Three Hours later the Air force dispatched Two Squadron's of fighters and
Two KC-135's One AWACS and Two B-52's.

They will head out with the group arriving in maybe ten hours or less.

Ten Cargo ships have been ordered to hold position roughly 600 miles apart
in an East to West configuration.

The Coastal Air and Naval guard have been placed on High Active Duty
and are flying patrol missions at; 2,000 and 1,000 miles using ASW aircraft.
the State's Naval and Air Patrols will be at 500 miles and 250 miles.

All vessels from nations currently involved in the Sammy34 actions will
be asked to redirect their movements away from our national Coast line.
Any vessels which Must enter our ports will be asked to wait until their
ship's registry and cargo can be verified.
The Head of Cascade States Coast Guard apologizes and will be available
to reply to any nation which has concerns about this.
