VLADISTOV, STOKLOMOLVI - With the recent Akimonadi accusations of Stoklomolvi and Yanitarian involvment in the detonation of a battlecruiser, protests and riots against the Akimonadi have flared up in Vladistov, Stoklomolvi. Riot police have been stationed around the capital of Stoklomolvi, though no violence was reported until several rioters crossed the line and started spewing insults about the Silver Imperium and Akimonad. The riot police stepped in and started beating down the dissenters, and tear gas was sprayed into the crowd. Many of the protesters have expressed their anger and frustration through government-run channels, stating that Akimonad has no right to accuse Stoklomolvi over the detonation of their battlecruiser, an act likely staged in order to frame Stoklomolvi. More on this as the news feed arrives.

President Makes Statement Regarding Akimonad's Statement

With growing tensions between Akimonad, Stoklomolvi and Yanitaria over a controversial decision in Akimonad regarding Communism, the President issued this letter to the public.

''It is my belief that communism is not evil, despite what people think. It does not reflect my political ideals, nor most of those in this nation, however, together, with both Stoklomolvi and Yanitaria, we have managed to propel ourselves out of the bottomless pit that was isolationism and let ourselves shine on the world stage. Was it not for these two nations, we would be back to the stone age like we were those many years ago. I believe this recent incident regarding the battleship was either an error on the part of Akimonad or a deliberate false flag operation.''

It has been roughly a week since the controversial report and already it has caused chaos. Riots have erupted in several nations, protesting the actions of each others governments. Since riots have not yet occurred in Orbath, so we don't know the majority of the people's opinions, we asked on the street.

''Do you support or agree with what Akimonad states?''

Rioting degrades to communist rally
Heavy rioting in Vladistov, Stoklomolvi has become an anti-capitalist rally

Stoklomolvi Wire Service

VLADISTOV, STOKLOMOLVI - What previously was a massive riot has degraded to become a rather violent communist rally, with citizens inspiring each other to take a stand against the Akimonadi threat of eliminating communism in Stoklomolvi. While the violence is used figuratively, with citizens spewing profane language against the Silver Imperium and Akimonad, no other violence has been reported. When one of the leading protesters was interviewed, he reportedly said, "I will rather die before Stoklomolvi becomes a capitalist asshat of a nation." Riot police were stationed around the protest site in case physical violence erupts.

Militiamen have risen up all around the countryside, though thousands have been told to go back to their homes. The Commissar reportedly said, "While the Akimonadi have had a reputation for hard bargaining and their, 'involvement' with the Far Echo Islands, they aren't going to be able to even get near annexing the whole of Stoklomolvi even if they do invade. That just won't happen." The Commissar reassured the populace at a public rally that the Stoklomolvi Military Police Force (SMPF) would always be there to protect them should an incident actually arise.

"Hello, this is Biron Hilbrich," the news Anchor said. "Tensions run high tonight, our neighboring state, and close ally, Stoklomolvi denounced claims that it had anything to do with the Akimonad incident, as has been claimed by Akimonad. As you all know Akimonad is an evil nat...

I mean capitalist nation,

(The picture changed to a dollar sign, caption remained the same)

and this is causing some grief with the citizens of Stoklomolvi, which is of course a Utopian...

(The Dollar sign changed to a picture of children frolicking in a picturesque green rolling meadow, caption changed to "Stoklomolvi" )

I mean Communist nation.

(The flag of the Stoklomolvi appeared on a flagpole behind the happy children, caption same)

But the message we all need to remember to night is that the people over in Akimonad are all lairs...

KAMENNOGORSK, STOKLOMOLVI - In a massive badminton championship game, the "Siberian Tigers" lost for the first time in 96 years. The "Siberian Coins", so-called, were able to take advantage of one mere moment of disorganisation, and quickly capitalised on it and scored the last point of the two month long match. With artificial snow, the landscape was treacherous, for shuttlecocks were camouflaged amongst the fluffy hills and trees. More on this as the news feed comes in.

Stoklomolvi Wire Service

NOUVELLE MOSKVA - An accident at a small town in rural Stoklomolvi, named New Moscow, caused protesting to occur when the chemical plant in the area exploded, sending tonnes of chemical waste into the atmosphere. Luckily, the factory was at the edge of the eastern-most border, and the winds just happened to be blowing easterly. The waste would likely go across the world and affect western European Atlantican nations, though it would likely take some time. At the same plant, one tank containing radioactive waste from a local fission reactor experiment exploded, spilling tonnes of waste conveniently into a boat whose moor broke off and drifted to the east. Radar tracked it to go north, where it went around a massive land formation and neared Nova Pictavia after the engines were fired by the AI for seemingly no reason.

YAKTUSK, STOKLOMOLVI - Prospectors have recently discovered a massive oil reserve in Eastern Stoklomolvi. After previously discovering massive natural gas fields in Central Stoklomolvi, hopeful prospectors searched the entire country for petroleum. The two prospectors who discovered the new oil field, Vasiliy and Petrov, have turned over the find to the government, expecting a reward. And a reward they did receive! The government of Stoklomolvi was able to lower petrol prices from a sky-high average of Universal Standard Dollars ($) 4.2696 to a mere $1.8269. An estimated 7 trillion barrels of crude oil await to be tapped, and the prospectors, invigorated, have ventured Southern Stoklomolvi, hoping to find more petroleum.

Oil deposits found up to 10 km below surface
Commissar plans on opening field to foreign drilling and investment

Stoklomolvi Wire Service

YAKTUSK, STOKLOMOLVI - With the recent opening of the field to drilling, some drillers have discovered oil at 9.78 kilometres below the surface of the planet. Using data discovered by fellow drillers, statisticians estimate up to 38 trillion crude oil barrels may be pumped from this deposit alone. The Commissar was thrilled, and quickly closed the oil field from residential and commercial development. Several government oil companies have begun drilling, though the Commissar has believed that Stoklomolvi may generate a luscious profit if the field is open to foreigners. Controversial Yanitarian album spreads rapidly
Agitation!, Yanitarian music album, draws massive rift in liberal population
http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd188/NS_Crossbowman/russiaw15256.jpg
Stoklomolvi Wire Service

VLADISTOV, STOKLOMOLVI - The recent collaborative album, Agitation!, has recently been found in the computers of millions of Stoklomolvi citizens, many of them with "Liberal Communism" as their self-described political ideology. It is rumoured that the old Commissar, Alexei Stuyonovich, downloaded one copy of the album and listened to its contents, only to delete it from his computer because it was "too loud". The new Commissar, Nikolay, has declared that he shuns the album, noting that it is far too "distasteful" for the classical-music loving population of Stoklomolvi.

The liberal population has been vastly divided over the release of the new album. Many praise it, claiming that the "injustices in Questers must be revealed to the world". Others remain cautious, claiming that too much support may draw retaliatory action from the state of Questers against its supporters and the authors themselves. Great debates have broken out in hundreds of city squares, in which liberals clash against one another either in support or opposition to the album. The conservative majority merely view the debates as entertaining spectacles, and often post videos in blogs and in video sharing websites. All websites viewed in Stoklomolvi are monitored by the government.

Over §1,892,205,193, or $2,566,965,737, has been donated by the some 56 million downloaders of the album, though interestingly the majority of Stoklomolvi, a rather conservative group regardless of ethnicity, has not really heard of Agitation!. Rather, they continue to listen to their grand marches, sonatas, and concertos. Some have never even heard of the state of Questers, which the album describes. More information about the album may be found at the news article in which it is described, located at the following URL.

VLADISTOV, STOKLOMOLVI - In a recent televised address, the Commissar has announced that he will allow for small businesses to reopen in Stoklomolvi. While there has been no word on any international reaction, the foreign immigrants in Stoklomolvi have rejoiced at finally being granted the privilege of running their own stores. It may indeed be this new policy that jumped the GDP per capita of Stoklomolvi by a full $3,000, from $18,982.15 to $21,155.56. It is possible that future reforms would allow for even more private economic rights for foreigners and citizens.

Government hard-liners, however, who form nearly ninety per cent of the citizen population of Stoklomolvi, have denounced the new reforms as "debilitating" and "disgusting", claiming that there was no need for private business. Many even supported the 100% tax rate, saying that while nobody had any money this high tax rate allowed for the government to provide everything, ranging from free education to free healthcare. Nearly every liberal, who constantly and secretly oppose the government, have supported the action as the "first sensible thing for the Stuyonovich regime to have done".

Nikolay's father, Alexei, has not been available for comment.

Democracy, freedom, and angry citizens
Commissar Nikolay begins moving forward to democracy

VLADISTOV, STOKLOMOLVI - In an extremely bold move, Commissar Nikolay has legalised political parties and political rallies. Seemingly instantaneously, over a dozen political parties, almost all of which formed by liberal groups, materialised throughout Stoklomolvi, claiming that the "beginning of a new era" has arrived. Approval for the Commissar by the liberals has shot up from a slim twenty four per cent to over sixty nine per cent.

However, not all is peaceful and tranquil. The government hard-liners, previously ambivalent over the new Commissar's rule, have denounced this recent action as an attempt to destroy Stoklomolvi and the ways of its people. Some have met the actions with reluctant acceptance, saying that "the Commissar has always done what's best for his people, and that his want for democracy is what he wants and will happen." Others have grown militant and demanded that the Commissar step down and allow the old Commissar, Alexei, take back power in Stoklomolvi. Many throughout Stoklomolvi fear that in the near future the new Commissar may even go from transitioning communism to outright capitalism, which would be completely unacceptable.

Resentment is brewing, and riots have broken out in Vladistov, Muscovy, and Port Stoklomolvi. Protesters from both liberal and conservative camps have rallied against one another, all groups wanting what they think is best for Stoklomolvi. The KGB, which previously watched over the arguments, has taken little action in the fighting, and has been criticised by many in Stoklomolvi. Some argue that the current situation could "lead to disaster or worse, a civil war". Others argue that a major capitalist power could invade and attempt to "install a puppet government to replace the current Stuyonovich regime". More on this as the information feed comes in.

Stoklomolvi at the brink of civil war
Recent schism between government hard-liners and liberals begins boiling over

VLADISTOV, STOKLOMOLVI - The incident concerning decisions made by Commissar Nikolay Alexeiovich Stuyonovich have recently paved the path to a massive schism between conservatives and liberals. Conservatives, who enjoyed the relatively modest and moral lifestyles of the past, have been in an uproar with the liberal reforms. With rumours spreading of a policy which the Commissar has named "Glastnost", protests, meetings, and even riots have started spreading throughout the country. Liberals have occupied entire cities, with large cities such as Muscovy being targeted as liberal fortresses. Civilians, both conservative and liberal, have raided munitions depots in vast numbers, shooting each other as they go. The KGB has largely been dormant, having taken no sides, though are starting to clearly mobilise against the liberal rebellion. Even ancient 15-inch howitzers dating from decades ago have been rolled out of garages and fired on both sides.

The international community has stood back and watched as the events unfurled, though this may be for the best. Involvement in the 8,255th Stoklomolvi Civil War may not be the best of decisions to make, as nationalistic feelings may still push aside the civil war as they did when Imperial Nippon invaded southern Stoklomolvi in 1937. At the time, a civil war was ongoing between Communist and Capitalist forces in the region, though not much was really changed by Imperial Nippon. Today, only the states of Calicut and Dehli have commented on the events. Calicut has stated that the civil war was "predictable and expected due to the oppressive nature of Stoklomolvi." Dehli, on the other hand, has started sending munitions to those residing near the mountain regions, hoping that the conservatives would prevail. Neither the conservatives nor the liberals have really cared much for any international happenings.

The old Commissar, Alexei Aleksandrovich Stuyonovich, has condemned his son for such "blatantly stupid and idiotic actions committed only by fools." The 58 year old has seen liberal tendencies in his son, but had not thought anything of them until recently. Currently, there have been minor clashes between the two sides, with the Siberian Natives still fighting both. Nothing major has occurred. More information as the feed arrives.

The final blow: Glastnost
With the implementation of the "glastnost" policy, the political cauldron exploded

VLADISTOV, STOKLOMOLVI - The Commissar has declared that private news sources, such as the EIBC, may now be viewed in mainland Stoklomolvi. Some sources, such as the Siberian Native News Network [SNNN], have stated that the Commissar is a hyper-intelligent aubergine, causing laughter from the liberals and pure anger from the conservates. Numerous cartoons, such as Barry the Tiger, have poked fun at the Commissar's sprouting liberal ways, and many corporations from the southern states have congratulated Stoklomolvi on taking another step towards democracy, freedom, and capitalism.

In the huge conservative camp, the reaction was more than angry. Hundreds of thousands of citizens from Vladistov marched around in front of the Vladistov Kremlin, while the KGB did nothing. The Commissar, by allowing the citizens the right of protest, has garnered applause from liberals and even more anger from the communist hard-liners. The response by the communists was phenomenal. A full-blown civil war has broken out, with large cities main points of conflict. Liberals, armed with weapons supplied in secret from the larger capitalist states in NSEarth, have prevailed in central and southern Stoklomolvi. Everywhere else, the communists have been pushing hard. Over the past few days, increasingly large numbers of liberals began to appear from the countryside, and newfound confidence has been found in subjugated nations who demanded states of their own. Dozens of new states, such as Kazakhstan, Ukrainegrad, and Chagatai Khanate have declared independence, though most of these newfound states have been crushed by communists. No word has been received from either the KGB or the Stoklomolvi Imperial Guard.

More information as the feed comes in.

Nikolay dead in Guangzhou!
Alexei apparently beat Nikolay in the head with his cane, rupturing a blood vessel

GUANGZHOU, STOKLOMOLVI - At the end of a duel between father and son in one of the agricultural spires in Guangzhou, Alexei had the upper hand and apparently beat his son once in the head, severing a blood vessel. According to Alexei, his son's last words were, "I love you, father." Nikolay fell into a coma and died at a hospital. Alexei was deeply saddened by the incident but was unable to comment.

It seems, though, that the communists and liberals are attempting to reach a compromise with the death of Nikolay. Stoklomolvi, it has been said, will enter a period of relative isolationism before finally returning to the world stage. However, speculation is not to be trusted, and the future of Stoklomolvi is very foggy. Few know what could happen to Stoklomolvi.
