The unused hotel rooms can be used for real tourists or to meet our obligations with our foreign investor partners to house thier supervisors and managers free of charge, the visiting overseas Cubans room accounts will be credited for the latter purpose.

OCC : The policy of Overseas Cuban American visitors having to buy the hotel tourist packages though many did not use thier hotel rooms by staying with thier familys and giving the rooms to real tourists was changed a few years ago, but since it was used, it will be used for the duration of this RP or until further notice.

While NS 1,876 per person may sound too high, it includes everything, air fare, hotel room, food and drinks, ticket tourist attractions, car rentals. Night Clubs & Gambling Casinos, Jineteras and Jineteros.

While most Ixanian tourists are good decent persons respecting our laws and customs, some males and females have been seen in the company of Jineteras and Jineteros goining them in their hotel rooms.

We welcome about 155 to 156 Ixanian tourists per day out of an expected 50,000 for the 2008 tourist year.

Although the senate of Greater Headhunters orginally voted against allowing our citizens the right to visit La Habana Cuba, we have changed our stance since the last election. The government of Greater Headhunters would like to know how many tourists a year will the government of La Habana Cuba allow? Most of our people are of German descent (Germans love to travel). We also have a good economy, so we will have many people who will definatly be able to afford some vacation time in La Habana Cuba.

OOC: From what I've learned at the economics, the general scheme is this. First, you get gross profit - that is revenue minus all expenses, but before paying the wages. From that, tax is taken. Then, employee salaries/wages are paid. The success of a business is measured by its gross profit. After wages are distracted, the remains are net profit.
So you should change the chart a bit to look like this:

That is done this way because salaries/wages normally depend on gross profit, i.e. they get higher bonuses if the revenues exceed expenses a lot, or might get their basic pay only if the company gets in red (net loss) after that minimal wage already.
It's not just out of generosity, but for two very practical reasons. First, to make the employees interested in increasing gross profit and feel for the company; it helps a lot. Second, most of the net profit is spent for business expansion and new development. Significant expansion requires more employees, and they have to be attracted by higher pay; conversely, being in red means expenses should be reduced.
I would suggest, if that's not excessively complicated, to set the wages as a certain fixed basic pay plus 30%...50% of remaining profit (gross minus basic pay).

Net profit to revenue ratio is closely related to the net profit margin. That number depends on business and success; I'll give the numbers for successful businesses. A walmart store may have just 2%, industry 5%-20%, services 10%-25%, weapons get one 25% (state-enforced), and high-tech may take as much as 50%. That disparity doesn't yet determine which is more profitable: a walmart turns millions of goods worth daily, yet does nothing with them but pass from one hands to another; a barber's turns most of the client's money into wages; and a high-tech company makes expensive stuff out of nothing, but developing the next product may take years and the old quickly becomes worthless, so massive "fat reserve" is necessary. A higher margin usually indicates CEO unprofessionalism, as a company exceeding typical margins should expand ($10 each from 10,000 people is better than $20 each from 1,000); a lower than average margin usually indicates mismanagement (unless it's for objective reasons).

I'm not a specialist in tourist industry (and military shipbuilding has little in common with it), but generally it is a high-margin service business, so I figure out that 15-25% of revenue should be the range.

Irina's parents do not have any problems with Alberto; believing that he is a good young man who can provide for their daughter. She is planning to take a break from her studies as a result of the pregnancy and is expected to give birth Sunday (OOC: We can assume it has been nine months)

Alberto's family arrives in Neo-Ixania to the sounds of guns and musicial instruments. The Cuban anthem is played as they walk to the limosuine waiting for them. A tour guide gives them a complete tour of Tzargrad (capital of Ixania) and allows them to visit stores, eat Ixanian food, and see the hospital where Irina's baby will be born. Irina stays close to Alberto; asking him to be a good father for their child. Alberto can see other girls walking down the street; though he is constantly urged to stay with Irina.

Cuban and Ixanian students bombard Alberto and the others with questions; the leaders of Cuba are also given plenty of questions as they are given all the respect they deserve. Irina's friends also make an appearance; talking to Alberto. Irina's relatives keep an eye on Alberto. After they are finished in the city, Irina is taken quickly to the nearest hospital where their child, a daughter, is born. Once in a while a few of you will throw me a bone here and there. One of the reasons I started to RP was I got tired of answering Issues. That changed my 52 NS nations UN Rankings. Sometimes we want to change the rankings, but most times not.

Sponsored by the LH Cuban Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Cuban Music Institute, the event will be presided over by renowned musician Juan Formell, director of Los Van Van orchestra.

More than 130 musical groups and soloists are expected to participate. During a recent news conference, Formell explained that the idea is to have a musical festival that combines artists from different generations and styles.

‘Our objective is for artists to share the stage and improvise together in performances that last until the following morning, as we did in previous festivals. For instance, there will be three concerts every day at the old landing strip of Varadero airport, with room for 30,000 people, totally free of charge,’ said Formell.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Alexis Vasquez confirmed that the list of guest artists also includes Portuguese Luis Represas, the Danish pop group Sweetheart, Venezuelans Lester Paredes and Lex Estet, Argentina’s Pablo Basez quartet, Ecuador’s Rarefacción, Senegalese singer Afia Mala, and 11 African musical groups, like Pigmeos from the Congo, and the Sandang All Stars.

Cuban music will be represented by some of its best exponents, among them the group Síntesis, singers X Alfonso, and Omara Portuondo, the groups Original de Manzanillo, Aragon and Van Van, Compay Segundo’s group, and Los Muñequitos de Matanzas folklore dance company.

Every day, septets, pop and jazz bands, son rhythm, timba and traditional and dance music performers will delight participants in the festival at 13 different spots, from afternoon until dawn.

Parallel to these live performances, there will be a workshop on the role of percussion instruments in Cuban popular music, with practical lessons.

A theoretical event, named Sencillamente charangueando, as well as books and CD presentations and art exhibitions will also be part of the Festival.
