A CMS squad of 5 has been deployed on the international shipping vessel "Wind of Good Hope." The squad was airlifted to the Good Hope while it was still 3 days out from the Strait of Malacca. Guy Boothby has been deployed as the operational manager for this mission.
In accordance with the CMS's standard protocol for navigation in the Strait of Malacca, Guy has instructed the pilot to set a course 15 miles off the coast of Malaysia. While most attacks come from the Indonesian side of the strait it is not unheard of that pirates will come up from Indonesia and hide in the Malaysian jungle.
The "Good Hope" has been traveling in the Strait for 13 hours now and is preparing to enter one of the narrowest sections. The local time is 0200 hours and the ship is traveling under overcast skies but the onboard stormcast equipment shows nothing of interest.

Guy is standing with the pilot and captain on the bridge. His men are working under standard operational protocol for the Strait of Malacca (constant surveillance).
"What is our exact position captain?" Guy inquires.

The captain lowers his head over a monitor considers it and replies "currently about 14.5 miles south south west of the Malaysian coast. We are approximately 400 kilometers from Singapore. We will have to reduce our speed as we enter the squeeze point ahead but we are on schedule."

To Guy the words "squeeze point" seem eerily fitting. He wishes that they were past Singapore and that his men could go back to standard protocol, at least then they could sleep on shifts. But that will have to wait for the next 10 hours or so as they inch their way up that strait.

"Captain..." the pilot cuts in, his voice uncertain.

The captain turns to the pilot and he continues "Captain, it looks like there is a vessel paralleling our course..."

This of course is not uncommon in the strait, given that there are only two directions of travel... but Guy knows that in this part of the world anything the least bit suspicious deserves attention.

Guy unclips his radio and holds down the call button, "Hey Kolto, I want you to get over on the starboard... there is a vessel running with us about 200 meters out, I want you to try and get it on night vision before i put the spotlight on it..."

The Argonian was quick to respond, casually walking out onto the starboard deck with his SMG hanging from the sling, a hand near the trigger like always. The other clawed hand held a single Thermal Vision monacle, which he used to locate the nearby vessel.

While significantly smaller than their own ship, that wasn't uncommon either in this area. Fishing vessels were likely to use this same area for travel to and from the open seas. Kolto briefly considered bringing a Javelin missile system next time, if he could find one. That would allow him to blast incoming pirate vessels out of the water with relative ease from a decently safe distance. This was a bit of a departure from the pirates he was used to. Argonian pirates swam up to their targets, using their superior aquatic abilities and indefinite lung capacity to move unseen beneath the waves. STAB teams used similar tactics when they moved to retake the captured vessel. Sun Tzu was a guiding factor in their methods, since 'He Who Defends Everything Defends Nothing'. Placing teams like he was on now on every single vessel was impractical. They didn't have the manpower either.

This would be somewhat easier, the invaders came in easily visible ships and that would allow him to prepare an ambush when they came aboard. If he'd brought something with a little more range behind it he could also engage them as they pulled up and tried to secure themselves to the larger vessel. A sniper would have been especially useful, even more so when armed with something heavy like a nice M82A1, a .50 BMG would punch a nice hole in a small vessel or completely destroy the engine and cripple it before it became a threat. Kolto still prefered some sort of surface-to-surface missile system, but that was a matter of personal preference.

He keyed up his radio, he would have to tell his supervisor that he'd found the other ship...

"I've got it on thermal, Boothby. Doesn't look like a fishing boat either..."

His supervisor seemed an okay sort, former naval spec ops like himself, that sort of thing. He wasn't Argonian but Kolto couldn't hold that against him. Humans were out of their element on the high seas, especially when they fell overboard. Should that happen to Kolto he'd have no problem catching up to his home ship, provided he stayed away from the propeller...

"You going to hit them with the spotlight or what?"

Guy listened as the Argonian spoke. He had the experience to know having one on their side was a definite advantage, if only his other men had the same sort of expertise.

As Guy was getting ready to respond to Kolto the pilot cut in

"Sir, I just got two more blips on the sonar. They are behind us, looks like they could be trying to hide in our shadow!"

Guy swear to himself, obviously the lone boat to the starboard had been a decoy, the main boarding party was coming from behind, hiding in the sonar signal of their own vessel.

"O.K. Kolto heres the deal, we got a shit storm coming from behind us. I want you to get back there. I am going to put the spotlight on the starboard and make them think we have fallen for their decoy. I am hoping that the spot will keep their decoy out of range... you will take change of the rest of the crew aft and lay low. We don't want to get into a long range fire fight with these guys. They may have RPGs, we want them in close, and we want to surprise them. I will direct from the bridge, keep me updated. out."

Guy lowered his radio and glanced at the pilot and captain, they both looked nervous. He wasn't going to lie to them and tell them everything would be ok.
Guy hoped his plan would work, they would have a chance if they could ambush the two boarding crews aft, but if the decoy choose to move in they could be in trouble.

Kolto shifted his position, bringing the small sub-machine gun to bear. The Trijicon Reflex optic was perfect for close-quarter engagements and that was just what he was a specialist in. Two watercraft meant that there were going to be more than five of them, but it also meant that they were going to have to split up to cover the ship due to the sheer size of it, which meant he could pick them off one by one if need be.

Kolto made his way down to the lower rear of the vessel, towards the water-level docking area, and positioned himself with a good field of fire over the bulkhead. There he would wait until something gave him a target...

Jacob ran across the deck, his shotgun hitting his back each step, while his Glock 17 swayed in its holster. In his hand was an AK-104, which was already loaded. He had heard the news come in from his radio, the boat that was on the starboard side was a decoy and two more were aft behind them.

Jacob let go of the AK-104 and let it hang from its sling as he picked up his radio and spoke into it.

"Mr. Boothby, it's Captian Jacob Biter from Greston. I am going to back right now, if you want me to I can hold them off then retreat to a lower level to help destroy them need be."

Kolto keyed up his own radio, he'd draw them out to the others so they could ambush the pirates as they pursued him...

"Negative, Biter. Take up a position on the way to the aft dock, I'll bring them to you. Just check your fire and make sure it isn't me..."

STAB operators never wore ballistic vests, they got a little heavy when you were trying to speed through the water under your own power, and Kolto hadn't purchased a vest for this operation, either. He'd need to be more than careful when the lead started to fly...

"I'm already down here and I can hear them coming now..."

Kolto's dossier had failed to mention that Argonians valued kills over full practicality, and STAB operators were notorious for this, especially for kills made with their knives. He could have easily sprayed the incoming vessel with a quick burst before ducking back behind the relative safety of the thick metal bulkhead, but he wanted to watch them die instead of hear them screaming as his Winchester Ranger hollow-points shredded their internals. It was also a good indicator as to if they were wearing body armor or not...

Guy signalled the captain
"Hit that starboard boat with the spotlight, and get on the horn to your crew to get in their cabins. Tell them to keep all rooms locked until you order otherwise."

Guy went for his radio as he watched the spotlight hit the small boat on the horizon. It veered apparently not liking the attention to much.

"Jacob, I want you to take up a position aft. Get in position so that you and Kolto can flank those fucks once they get onboard..."

Guys voice trailed off as a glow started coming from the starboard boat.

"oh shit...BRACE!!"

Was all Guy had time to yell before an RPG flew by the bridge and off into the darkness. A trail of smoke hung in front of the window. Not thinking he had just come feet from being toast Guy ordered the pilot and captain down and lookup position by the starboard window. Leveled his MP5K and fired off a half a clip. He knew he was out of range with such a small weapon. He also knew he should have sent Jacob to starboard, his AK would have had the range.

"guys... whats the situation aft? We might need some support on starboard after all... I assume you saw that RPG overhead... I staying on the bridge to observe. Jacob, get ready to fall back if I order it."

Jacob had ran to his position and was sitting down on the ground loading his weapons for when they would board. He was counting the bullets in one of his cases when all of a sudden he was covered in smoke. A RPG had flew less than three feet above him. Jacob heard what Boothby was saying to him but he didn't answer until his senses came back to him. He scrambled for the radio and picked it up.

"I can take some out need be over on starboard, my AK would have the range. Kolto you can handle this position right? Besides if I do hold them off on starboard I can slow down their boarding process."

Kolto was happy for the first time in a long time. It was time for him to hurt someone again...

"I'm going to draw them into the ship so we can isolate them and pick them off as needed. You guys have your shotguns and I have my knife..."

They weren't getting past him. He had been trained for this specific purpose, to operate under these specific conditions. The Super V was the equivalent of a lead flamethrower in these tight spaces, able to accurately hose a target with lethal results. He wished he'd brought along something with some range behind it, like a G3A3 with a decent piece of glass on top of it or something with a bolt-action...

"If they've got RPG's I'd suggest you get the fuck off of the bridge and not give them a reason to shoot at it. We can't afford to lose our comms and sensor packages..."

The folding stock had already been extended, and all Kolto needed now was a target...

Captain Bornamir stood on the bridge of his ship. The D.S. Moria's Bounty (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Berge_stahl_1024.JPG) was possibly tha largest bulk carrier in the world, and he was prowd to command her. But now, he would have given anything to be somewhere else...
Sleeping in his cabin, the crew woke him up in response to some strange activity nearby. The Bounty was slowly passing the Strait of Malacca, as her size wouldn't allow passage. In the distance, spotlights and flashes illuminated another cargo vessel in the Strait.
"What's going on?"
"Did someone fall overboard?"
"Are they having party?"
The crew was lined up against the railing, all asking questions about the strange activity. Captain Bornamir simply stood silently watching. A 35-year sea veteran, he new a pirate attack when he saw one. "Is the radio working yet?" he asked.
His chief mechanic pulled himself out of the console and stood up. "Not yet sir. I can't find the short in the system."
"Keep trying. We need to raise the local authorities about that ship," he pointed to the lighted vessel.
"Yes sir." The mechanic climbed back into the console. Bornamir turned back to the window. "May god help them," he wispered...

OOC: If you checked the set up thread I applied to be the pirates, will you guys be okay with that? I'll start RPing as them when they board.
