People all over the country were sat infront of their television sets, families who were sitting down to dinner watched the news as it was broadcast, a blonde, female newspresenter sat looking at the camera with a stern, grim look upon her face, she read the news out in a very flat unemotional tone...

"Today, Federation State Police have moved into secure several of the large Churches in the cities of Vermont, and Veridone, Reports indicate that the Administration has authorised this sudden move and display of force, Protestors have gathered around outside and are currently pleading with Federation State Police Negotiators to leave the church in peace... So Far there has been no violence..."

A woman, who was at the dinner table with her husband looked on at the screen, her face was in a twisted state of shock and disbelife.. they were both commited Christians and they knew that if these were the first, many more would come...

"I can't belive they are doing this..." She turned to her husband, pushing her meal to oneside... "I've lost my appetite..."

"Don't worry.. this won't go on for long... once news gets out about whats going on, people will come to help..." He held her hand with his own, and tried to comfort her, but deep down he too knew that this was a bad sign...

"Please... We beg you, Let us worship!" A woman Cried out...

A gas mask wearing state trooper looked at her without care, his face was obscured by the black heavy rubber of the mask, and the almost german style combat helmet added to the effect even more, dehumanizing these Police Troopers into nothing more than mere machines of the Administration...

A negotiator, wearing a long black trenchcoat, a pair of combat boots and a business suit, looking slightly mismatched and out of place, but these Negotiators were not only part of the Administrations officers of Citizen Loyalty, but also were Federation State Police Commissars, they ensured that The Administrations word was passed down and heard by all the lower classes...

"The Church has been shut down for your own Protection, Please return to your homes, The Administration does not want this incident to escalate any further..." The Negotiator spoke through a loud speaker, that allowed everyone stood around the church to hear his voice over the cacophony of the protestors...

"The Administration has no right to do this!" Someone shouted out, others agreed, but the Negotiator calmly played down these allegations...

"The Administration is doing what it feels is best for our Country, Rejoice in knowing that your protection comes from those who are only working with your best interests at mind..."

The Negotiators Radio squawed something in the background and he turned, picking up the device and speaking, he nodded several times before placing the device back onto the ground, he waved a hand and a Federation State Trooper approached, his black swat gear perfectly kitted out with explosive devices, grenades and a heavy kevlar vest should the situation get any worse...

"They have decided to escalate the situation.." The Negotiator spoke... looking at the Federation State Trooper, who calmly nodded...

"Use Teargas, then I want two fire teams, set up on either side of the Church door, your to await my command, and then proceed as ordered, do you under stand trooper?"

"I understand Negotiator, What about the people inside the Church.."

The Negotiator, thought for a moment, holding his chin with a gloved hand... "Once the Tear Gas has gone off, I want the Troopers inside to bring the Clergy outside, then have them executed, perhaps then people will back off and allow us to complete our Operation...."

"What of the media Backlash, Negotiator?"

"The Administration is taking care of that matter..."

The Trooper ran off, assembling the two squads and radioing the orders to the Troopers inside, the Clergy, four priests, a bishop and a few monks, were kneeling down, while the Federation State Troopers, Calmly held their weapons in both hands, walking up and down between the line of these holy people... they cared not for what was about to happen, the clergy continued to pray for forgiveness and to forgive the Troopers who were only carrying out their orders...

The Message came through, and then outside all hell broke loose...

Several canisters of teargas were launched from underbarreled grenade launchers and the white smoke rose up, causing mass panic among the protestors, a few of them screamed and others ran, crushing one under foot, the crowd heaved and moved like flowing water, as the two fire teams awaited the command to open fire...

The Clergy were moved outside and once again forced to drop to their knees onto the hard concrete below, the clergy knew what was coming, they knew that their time was up and that the Administration had one, the Federation State Troopers were about to complete the first phase in several phases that would upheave the community and rebuild it in the image of the Administration and its invisible cohorts of evil...

A Trooper pulled out his side arm, then placed a round in the back of the head of the Bishop, his body slumped to the ground with a thud, the bullet hole letting his precious life blood leak out onto the concrete floor, turning it from a bleached white stone, into a caustic red...

The crowds heard the gun shot, and several turned to see the second priest end up on the floor in a similar manner, the others followed each executed with a clean gunshot to the head, expertly done and without flaw...

"Murderers!" People cried, and they turned back towards the Troopers, looking at them with anger and hatred, they had commited murder against unarmed Holy men....

The Negotiator Dropped his arm, and the two Fire teams opened up with a hail of machine gun bullets, each one, a 7.62mm round struck home with multiple people, the hot metal rounds striking flesh and cutting people down like paper dolls, people screamed and ran, terrified of what was happen, men, women and even children were cut down with frightening efficiency, all the while the Negotiator look on, Calmly reciting words from the Administration...

"This is for your own protection, The Administration is acting with your best Interests in mind.... there is Nothing to Fear... The Administration is our Friend...." All the time more people were cut down, until the last few survivors were distant objects running for their lives and back to their homes...

The whole time this was happening, People all around witnessed the massacre on national Television, looking on with horror and discust, until finally the Administration made its move and cut the feed.... the National Symbol, appeared on the TV Sets followed by a short message...

A pale skinned man, with dark set eyes and raven black hair sat at a table, he was The Administrator, one of many... he looked at the camera with cold, dead eyes that did not care for a single human life, but yet he had a strange warmth about him that made you feel like he really did care....

The Screen faded away, leaving nothing but the national symbol..... Normal TV soon returned, showing re-runs of a classic family sitcom....

As the message was being concocted and sent, Classis Interventus XXI, just a week's sail away, was ordered to alter course towards Sahg. Aboard this fleet was a full Marine Legion and everything needed to support it: bombardment vessels, aircraft carriers, submarines. The Ancient Borderlands, while not agreeing with the Sahg administration's actions, recognizes its right to self determination. We whole heartedly condemn the threats of violence against the Sahg government, particularly the words and indeed actions of the nation of Doomingsland. The deployment of combat forces towards Sagh does not sit well with us.

For a nation that belongs to the APOC and is a supposed 'champion of liberty and freedom' alongside its allies, it sure does like to violate the sovereignty of other nations and infringe upon their rights to do as they please on their own soil. For a nation that supposedly stands for freedom, its sure does like to enforce its religious agenda against nations who do not subscribe to the Doomani Church's beliefs. Freedom, religious or otherwise is absolute.

Sagh's leadership has the right to remove from its nation any religion or institution it feels is dangerous to its people and way of life, and if the Doomani are too intellectually inferior to grasp that point, perhaps they should simply stay out of these situations, period.

We suggest the Doomani refrain from such rampant hypocrisy, and instead seek a diplomatic solution instead of proving once again why it is a nation of lies, deception, and religious bigotry.

Grand Marshal Teres read the report of the Sahg Administration with interest. The Administration had just butchered civilians for protesting the shutting down of a number of churches within their territory, and that was something that the Grand Marshal did not agree with.

He hated the idea.

He might not allow non-humans within the Tereuni the easiest of lives, but he didn't mercilessly hunt them down and kill them for disagreeing with their treetment (and they did disagree). No, he treated them as criminals if they did anything against the law, and the punishments would be the same as if a human had done it. Though he did turn a blind eye towards the non-humans if any were murdered in cold blood.

But this administration had gunned down civilian humans, and that was unacceptable.

Maybe there was a just cause, the Administrator had mentioned terrorism, and Teres knew from experiance that terrorists often came in the form of religious zealots. But he had presented no evidence of such.

"What do you make of the situation in Sahg?" He asked the other occupants of the conference room.

Predictably, his brother began ranting about the injustice of such an act, but the Grand Marshal had long since learned how to tune out his brother's voice, and instead turned to the military officers seated at the table.

"He mentioned terrorism." General Yutani shrugged. "Is there any validity to that claim?"

"He didn't offer any evidence to support such." Lioness spoke up, voice telling all that she was deep in thought.

"A number of nations are acting aggressively towards the Administration." Yutani frowned. "No one else seems to have metioned the terrorism claim."

"Then we should offer up a chance for the Administation to give us evidence of his claims. If they check out, then we stay out of this, and inform all the aggressive nations that the claims of terrorism were not false." Lietenant Commander Dragon nodded.

"And if they can't give us the appropriate evidence, we give our support to the outraged nations." Field Commander Eagle spoke up, his look in his eyes making even Teres wince. "But I don't believe we should throw in an entire army, there are already enough nations willing to do that. Just send in a couple of commando teams, lend their services to the other nations."

Teres nodded. At the moment, the Tereuni didn't have a large enough military force to send an entire army to Sahg. If he just sent in a couple of Commando teams, then he'd be giving his support, but still keep his military in Tereuni territory.

"It's decided then." He said, and the finality of his tone of voice made it clear that he was dismissing everyone.

He activated his terminal and began to make his message for the Administration.

Already, Federation State Police moved into areas of unoccupied ground with bulldozers and other heavy machinery, engineers from civilian contractors began digging into the earthen soil and building up large earthbanks, others arrived, trucks with great lengths of fencing, while others brought pre-built housing...

It is the government's position that the top priority of the international community is to help bring an end to the terrible violence that I have just described, so that a measure of peace and stability can return to Sahg. Given how fragile the Sahg economy is at the current time, any military intervention runs the risk of collapsing basic infrastructure and triggering a mass population movement of internally displaced persons into neighboring states. The use of nuclear weapons or a mass invasion are significant factors that will make the odds of this happening a near certainty.

The Sahg Administration has a responsibility to stop the violence, and we expect them to live up to this responsibility. We also support the role of non-governmental religious and civil leaders in peace building and inter-religious reconciliation. Stability in Sahg requires immediate action from the government. The chief of staff for His Majesty stopped outside a door that was inconspicuous, rapped three times on it with the back of a hand, and then stepped inside. "Good morning your majesty," the men heard him saying from outside as they waited patiently. "Prime Minister Grace and Fleet Admiral Whitehill are here to see you."

A moment later he reappeared, and beckoned them inside. The first thing they saw would of course have been the ornate decor in this room, which doubled as the royal family's sunroom when the entire family was in residence. Only His Majesty was here now: Her Majesty Queen Kentwick-Bishop and their two daughters were in Winchester Castle on Bishop's Island, taking a vacation from the hassles of public life. The second thing seen would have been His Majesty, who as always was impeccably dressed in a contemporary charcoal grey business suit, three piece of course.

The king's age was showing now. The hair was long since thinning and snow-white, the trimmed mustache and spectacles giving him an appearance that some of his staff privately compared to the ever-popular children's stories of "Father Time." Right now though he had a very serious expression on his face, as he gently waved a manila folder in his hands. "Prime Minister, Fleet Admiral. I take it you've seen this latest news headline regarding the Sahg crisis? I'm interested to know the government's position."

"I have sir," the prime minister replied as he took a seat in an offered chair. "The government feels that embroiling ourselves in open hostilities would not be adviseable. Not only is there the question of how to justify to the populace why we are intervening in a country with no demonstrateable links to the Kingdom's national security, but if we were to attempt to preserve the existing government in Sahg - the same one which has so recently engaged in these barbaric practices - it might be viewed as a matter of contention in the House of Assembly."

"So that's it then?" The king closed the folder and put it down on a small table to his right. "We simply write off Sahg and let it fall to outside aggression? I agree that their practices - especially the establishment of these 'internment camps' - are clearly matters of high concern, but even so the risks of population displacement, famine, and needless civilian casualties are even more concerning."

The P.M.'s face was grave and serious as he spoke from his seat, no longer looking at the folder contents. He'd seen the estimates of population displacement figures within Sahg, the satellite photos and radar images of the camps now being erected, the photos smuggled out of Sahg to foreign news media of the camps, quite enough.

"Your majesty, what the government and military are is prepared to support is the deployment of a multinational peacekeeping mission, with the intent of deterring outside aggression and simultaneously protecting the persecuted citizenry of Sahg. If the Sahg government does not agree to the deployment of such a force, then ..." his voice trailed off as he gave a slight shrug, as if to say what else can we do? Then it came back. "As for the matter of the Doomani tribute, it appears little more than street thugs attempting to take advantage of the situation."

"But the Doomani appear as serious as ever, your Majesty," the Fleet Admiral said, speaking up from his chair. "They already have a fleet en route to Sahg, along with our own and the one from Kalmurstan. This has the potential to turn into a shooting war if not properly handled through the appropriate diplomatic channels."

"I feel that I quite know how to handle my government," His Majesty replied, somewhat icily. In reply the naval officer gave a brief, curt, nod and fell silent. It was clear that the king didn't agree with what had been voiced, judging by the deepening lines on his face. But he put his spectacles back on after a moment and opened a second folder that he was handed. This one marked "TOP SECRET//OPERATION VIGILANT HARVEST."

"Oh, Prime Minister," the king inquired before he started reading, although his eyes were still resting on the page, "are we in contact with any foreign nations regarding this proposal?"

ooc: well lets look at who responded. More people identify with the 'good nation' rather than the 'bad nation', so more RPers are going to be a good nation. In my experience the younger the RPer, the more often they want to be the bad guy. The older RPers usually have seen enough real bad guys get away with real life crap and disassociate with the 'bad guy' and cheer for for the guy that sets things right. When a person RPs a situation thing like this it often arouses the other RPers that have the 'do good for this ideal' nations, of course they have to respond...it's expected from other RPers (and sometimes of themselves...they can't justify to themselves how their nation would just ignore this happening). So you have a bunch of either story tellers backing their nation's reactions with reasoned thought on why they are getting involved or a bunch of story tellers that see the weapons come out and instantly want to be in on the fight. (again...this is not representative of the people in this thread). The other RPers that RP psycho nations (dictatorships like Sahq) quite well as a story line, or they RP to get a rise out of others and don't really care about the story but more on how much they can upset the other writers (like DWV). Now 'bad' nations have the option of supporting this action, or not..totally at their whim. Nothing says they morally have to commit to defending this other nation (like DWV's king david..it was their country that was right and the rest of the world was wrong...so why help another nation when they are part of the problem? Or their is no gain for their nation.

Finally you have a special third class that doesn't care about right or wrong. They are in it for the land. They pick who they think is the winning side and RP through the win to gain more and more land and colonies. (They often have signatures showing all the protectorates or nations under their flag.)

Yep..the one very very far away from us' One or two older nations may step in to lend that military support because none of the younger, free, wiser nations will risk getting owned (the literal meaning of property) by another nation. Finally you get more do-gooder's and now the land grabbers jumping in. The dogpile ensues and this is what we have here....

The dangers of RPing a very evil act in open RP....dog piles and pissed off writers. The best RP with evil or 'bad' happenings is where (imo) there are three or four RPers that are working together to create a story. Each knows what the story outline will be but they are left to fill in the blanks. An example is like if we were making a painting together, each would put effort into making unique twists and interesting turns, yet the outcome is known. We know who will die, get caught or be destroyed so we write out our part...like the current thread I am writing (Unknown Frieghter Sunk by Karshkovian Air Command: 141 dead (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=547720)). We know the outcome and what we expect to have happen, so we all work together for the common goal of an excellent (or merely ok) story...a collaborative effort that we all enjoyed being a part of.

Basically what I am saying is evil acts are best left to closed or invite only RP, mainly because you control the quality of the RP to let in your thread and story. You control how many evil and good nations there are and set certain rules, like no nukes or no biologicals.

I have formulated a full report of the current social situation in the Sahg Federation and there appears to be quite a parralelling correlation between the suppression of the Christian followers and the demographic situation there.

It appears that the Administration of Sahg's atheist anti-religious conservative stance on it's society may have possibly doomed the ruling party and it's control over the country. It's all about birth and fertility rates between the different people groups. These groups being the devoted Christian congregations and the atheist non-religious citizens who support the Administration's actions against the Churches, two opposing population groups appear to present widely different fertility rates. The citizen's who report themselves as Christian have a total fertility rate of 2.89 while there opposing oppressor's TFR is just 1.19 which is way below the TFR required to replace the population every generation which is around 2.10!! What we see here is that the Christian population is growing at an estimate of 6 times as fast as the faithless anti-religous Administration supporters.

The reason for this huge difference in birth rates simply is strong family values and the cherishment of children as a gift from God amongst Sahg's Christians which is quite literally non-existent amongst the selfish hedonistic anti-religionists. It's so obvious now why the Administration has shut down the nation's Churches. It's because they know they already are a serious demographic threat!!

Eagle nodded.

"Why me? Fox I understand, but I'm a soldier first, assassin second. Spy isn't on the resume..."

"Because you can likely get away with 'questioning' even state police, something that Fox can't. He'll deal with questioning the local civvies, and investigating the scenes of the massacres, you have a chat with the state officials."

Again, the dark haired commander nodded. Fox was one fo the best, but Eagle was better, if only because he was more ruthless.
