Allanean Arms “Dominator”

First, there was the High Mobility Armored Car (HIM-TAC) (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13424494&postcount=31). It was an awesome truck, and it was made of utter awesome and win – for a military truck. But the Allanean Arms people had a completely different view of this vehicle. They purchased – for ten billion dollars – all rights for a civilian version. And they started working on it.

They reduced the size of the driver panels, allowing for a larger, soft, comfortable driver's seat – and in fact, for an all-leather interior, and orthopedic seats. The new drivers panel now includes and LCD-equipped GPS screen, he onboard electronics feature a broadband WiMax receiver, to which the passengers can wire their computers.

And yet there is more. We have removed the military-style roof (though you can still mount weapons on this, if you like), and installed an air conditioning system of the first degree, as well as an electrically-warmed-steering wheel, airbags (which you can remove if you like), and advanced ABS systems for easy braking.

While it is technically possible to fit military-style armor on it, we do not recommend the use of this vehicle as a military truck. Our contract binds us to refer all partners wishing for a military truck to the original military version (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13424494&postcount=31). Allanean Arms WILL NOT provide the Dominator as a military truck, and is not responsible for any damage resulting to your vehicle should you attempt to use it as such. We also added an advanced Allanean Arms car alarm and vehicle anti-theft tracker. Gun racks have been added, for the discerning hunter.

Motoring: Allanean Arms Releases the "Dominator" to the Market - Review

Review by Daniel Lythcoe

TODAY, the Allanean Arms Dominator was allowed onto the civilian market, bound by the unusual contract of "no military sales", all of which have been routed to Castilla y Belmonte.

The vehicle itself has been modified from the HIM-TAC, or HIgh Mobility Tactical Armoured Car - and it shows. As big and as burly as any AA release, the standard model stands at over 3m long, 2m high, 3 tonnes in weight, and features an automatic gearbox and, rather unusually, removable airbags.

Possibly the most unusual feature that's come to this reporter's attention is the hybrid engine - Allanean Arms isn't known for their environmentally-concious manner - the DragonX was as much an enviromental hero as the glassing of calaveras - but this could be the start of something new.

Or it could be a little bit of a gimmick - and I think it might be a little obvious from their previous release which it would be.

So how does such a vehicle handle? On road, it's the same as any other 136kW SUV - like a brick on rollerskates. The hydropneumatic disk brakes add an element of fun by allowing you brake last-moment, but otherwise, it's slow off the mark, slow on the corners, and it always feels like you're about to roll over. Overall, a pretty much typical 4x4.

Off-road, however, the Dominator shines. With a 60% slope capability, it can handle pretty much anything save driving it off a cliff - and I'm pretty sure you could get away with just jumping back in again, this vehicle takes so much punishment. I lost count of the number of potholes and ditches we went through together, laughing all the while.

The advantage of it's automatic gearbox is that it allows you to fully enjoy the pleasures of driving this true behemoth of the dirt. I tested this vehicle in the mountains of Alcatraz, the jungles of Makistania, the mud of Mirrania, and the deserts of the homeland. They all had one thing in common - a truly stellar performance by the Dominator.

So, for the scores.

With a pretty poor inner-city experience, despite the unending comfort of the heated steering wheel and truly awe-inspiring seats (a truly Allanean Arms initiative, if ever their was one), I'm giving it a 4 of 10.

Off-road, however, and we use this category as an SUV, she's getting a 9 of 10. Some truly epic fun was had in this vehicle, and I can assure you, dear reader, that the great desert expanses of the homeland were designed for one thing - the Allanean Arms Dominator.

In closing, I suggest this vehicle to our hunters, our construction workers, and our telegraph communications engineers - any company with interests on anything off-road. With a 4t hauling ability and 7.5t maximum weight, the dominator can truly handle as many carcasses, power tools, and telegraph poles as you can manage - and treats you like a king whilst you're doing it.

---

Following the release of the vehicle, sales are estimated at 1,000,000 for the first year, with 500,000p/y afterwards for personal sales. Commercially, the vehicle sells over 1,500,000p/y, with several million lease agreements signed. There's not a huge market personally for a vehicle like this, but commercially, there are great opportunities for a comfortable, long-distance 4x4 with good carrying capacity for building, telecoms, and hunting work.

Dominator sells poorly, "Too green" says spokesman
By Owen Kemp, Motoring

The much-heralded new arrival from Allanean Arms, the Dominator, appears to have been a flop in McPsychoville. The latest figures from the McPsychovillian Automotive Union place Dominator sales over the past year to be just over the one million mark - 1,057,800 was the specific figure - with spokesman Leon Turek saying "Aside from the handling problems in deep snow, it's just too...environmental. The hybrid engine is nothing compared to their past works, and the consumers have spoken, they see it as almost a betrayal. AA has kowtowed to the leftist bastards, their product has suffered and it's a crying shame."

OOC: It's not that kind of hybrid. At least I don't think so, Mac is the designer. It's actually a multifuel engine that eats any kind of sh*t from diesel to alcohol.

CNN Headline- The Dominator, dominating sales of it's vehicle type in Calizorinstan

The Allanean Arms "Dominator" a wild success with the Calizorinstanian public, projected to sell 2,350,000 year. These are popular enough, that former President, current vice President John C. Arnold bought one yesterday.

He says of it "It's the best vehicle of it's type I have driven. It is good for hauling my family around, or will be, when I get one started."

"Dominator" dominating the SUV Market in Asgarnieu
Article by Steven Randal

To dominate the SUV market in Asgarnieu takes balls. Obviously the Dominator has them.

Sales of SUV's took a dramatic shift in January when the Dominator was introduced in Asgarnieu. Sales went from the Verras Pounder to the Allanean Dominator nearly overnight.

Now, with sales in the millions per month, the Dominator is fast-becoming the most popular SUV in Asgarnieu.

This should come as no surprise in the desert, forest, and jungle regions of the nation, but suburban and urban sales are the highest-grossing of them all. The market for a true weekend warror's SUV had been lacking, but is now filled with what can only be the best SUV currently sold in Asgarnieu.

WIBC News Channel 1 Evening Report, Special Consumer Edition; 21:10 February 10th 20XX.
Greetings Citizens and Friends around the world. I'm Poliana Bárique, and this is WIBC One Evening News.

[Images of Dominators rolling off the dealership lots, on the roads of the Wagdian backcountry and cityscape, and so forth. Sales are healthy, even if not quite in the frenzy caused by the release some time ago of the Firebolt. Barique v/o.]

Allanean Arms has cemented its' position within our automotive sector as the number one competitor with the release of the Dominator SUV, itself a civilian version of the HIM-TAC armored car recently adopted by the National Guard from the one major rival still entering the marketplace with various and sundry civil sales of its' own and a large local industrial base: Sistemas Terrestres Segovias. Reviews of the vehicle have generally been positive, with the four-door version being near to universally preferred. And sales have reportedly reached the ten-million mark, looking set to reach a sustained twenty-million per year within some two years if current market conditions hold so say analysts.

Perhaps most notable is the Dominator's living out its' name over another Allanean Arms vehicle, having cut heavily into the market for the DAA-1 Developing Area Automobile whose sales are plummeting due to the availability of a superior product filling the same broad niche. Though it's believed the DAA line will continue sales at some one-million per year, down from even the relatively-low five million initial figure from some years ago, the changeover in customer preferences has been clear and the Dominator looks set to match its' other competitors both from Allanean Arms and other quaters.

[Cut to Poliana Bárique frontal view again.]

And now, ahead is our evening local news and then the weather; followed by international coverage. With thanks for your loyal viewership and interest as always, this has been Poliana Bárique for WIBC News Channel One and I'll return after this commercial break.
