The Office of Foreign and Colonial Affairs is pleased to accept the application for representation from the Free Republic of Lamoni. As construction and repairs in the building are finished, you are free to take charge of the embassy grounds at your government's discretion. (Construction on the pool and helipad will be finished within the week.)

We are slightly concerned, however, by the invitation from the Free Republic to establish diplomatic relations, as it was our understanding that we already had them. (As can be seen in the Kingdom's application for diplomatic representation (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13328705&postcount=9]factbook[/URL] and our [URL="http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13340213&postcount=68).) If there has been some change in official diplomatic status that we were unaware of, please do not hesitate to let our office know.

Sincerely,
Maring Bathborough
Deputy Secretary of Foreign and Colonial Affairs

The Office of Foreign and Colonial Affairs is pleased to accept the application for representation from the Republic of the Indonesian States, and will be reciprocating with a forthcoming application for diplomatic representation in the Republic.

The requested embassy site at 3 Ramshead Street is available for use even as this letter is sent to your government.

Insofar as the request for the 'special building' on the embassy grounds, we would be pleased to accommodate this request insofar as it does not require an expansion of the grounds themselves. (The Ministry feels that it might set a precedent for other such requests. I'm sure you understand.) Should this meet with your approval construction will be started immediately.

The other special request, namely for berthing for a yacht in the harbor at New Port Allansberry, is acceptable to the Ministry. We ask that the vessel be registered upon arrival with Her Majesty's Customs Authority (who handles coast guard functions for the Kingdom) however, and also call to your attention that because the Kingdom is located in a high northern latitude icebergs and pack ice are often seen in wintertime within our waters. Please do take this into account with movement of the yacht.

Sincerely,
Maring Bathborough
Deputy Secretary of Foreign and Colonial Affairs
