The first democratic election ever in the Island's history. A large multitude of Candidates have surfaced from all walks of life of all types of background. with Workers from Mokostana will count all ballets and ensure the fairness of the election.

The Process:

Given much of the island population is illiterate ballots will be comprised of a picture of the candidate along with an exacto knife to punch a hole on the picture. Still if you wish to be of assistance you may come and volunteer.

Each Candidate will present their ideas and platform.

A profile will follow for each

Name: Armand Dauxtree

Age: 33

Education: No literate education, trained in tactical and military stratagey

Noted Achievements: War Veteran

Bio: Born and raised to fight, from the very beginning Armand was to be a soldier. First under the communist reign, then under the Kingdom he has fought strongly on both sides for both parties. However when the Communist Coup of 2006 occurred he fought against the rebels in memory of the King who was assassinated. He had planned to secure the first polling when the King had promised to step down but after the coup the state of the island fell back into chaos. He fought against the foreign invaders on Stilleståndö, Aurora and Corona. He was planning to ship out to Animalpoils but the hurricane that ended the war prevented him.

Platform:

Military: Hopes to strengthen the militia of the island to prevent any further coups, thwarts, or any invasion.

Education: Keep education optional mandate a year of tactical education for all male citizens.

Miscellaneous: Desires to erect a statue in memory of the King and the Great Coup of '06.

Drugs: Desires to outlaw drugs for Stilleståndö and will propose a nationwide outlaw.

Weapons: Believes every family should be armed to protect themselves.

Name: Anja Kama

Age: 17

Education: Completed High School in Kirav with a full diploma

Noted Achievements: Youngest girl thus far to run for this office

Bio: Born and raised part of her life on the island by her young unweded mother, but sent away to be educated when she was 15. While attending High School in Kirav the War for the Islands broke out. However she was unable to leave due to travel restrictions and the dangers of the area. When she finally came back after the war she was extremely dishearten to find her mother had died during the war. She hopes she can be the strong and intellectual girl her mother hoped her to be. Should the position of High Duchess ever become democratic, she would hope to run for it.

Platform:

Military: Also desires a strong but unified militia on the island. She hopes to be able to cooperate with her fellow states on this matter.

Education: Desires to make Education mandated for all young children until 16 years of age.

Misc: Wants to adopt the Western Calender, desires to construct a memorial for all that died in the War for Independence, including a commemoration for AHSCA's former protector. Hopes to Add to The Hoshino Bill of Rights

Drugs: Desires to Outlaw All Drugs including nationwide.

Weapons: Doesn't believe the entire populous needs to arm themselves but will allow those that want to keep a weapon, keep a weapon. Desires a draft only if it comes down to fighting for the islands.

Name: Albin Thomas

Age: 19

Education: Basic Literate Education

Noted Achievements: Single father of three, veteran

Bio: When the war broke out, he didn't immediately go to the front lines like many others. Rather he took a boat took his three girls off the island to safety. Heartbreakingly he left them to fight for their home and country. He immediatley returned to fight and he fought bravely. When the war was over he returned for his daughter and brought them back.

Platform:

Military: Wants to strengthen the military but feels it is a national issue and should be discussed at the national level.

Education: Wants mandated education but will allow children that rely on helping their families for fishing or crop harvesting to leave school at any time for extended periods (But no longer that 30 days)

Misc: Hopes to negotiate Trade Contracts with other countries

Drugs: Likes the current "Just keep-it-to-your-self/isolated druggie" policey. Will not allow those with children or charged as caretakers of siblings to engage in drugs

Weapons: Keep them within the militia but grant them to citizens in times of war

Bo Grhigsby III

Age: at least 45

Education: Full Education including tactical

Noted Achievements: Single, never married. Served under the King, Schala, even some of the communist rebels and previous commie occupants. Rumored to have catered too the invading parties but this remains unconfirmed

Platform:

Military: Seeks to build a strong single militia force.

Education: Education should be privatized and have be payed in Island Credit currency

Misc: Would prefer to succeed from the Union and would encourage the other islands to follow. But if he must remain under the Union he will.

Drugs: Legalize completely, including the buying, selling, trading and distribution.

Weapons: Give to everyone

Now that the posts are completed it's time to get the ball rolling

The nation of Tel Amur highly congratulates your nation on having a democratic election. We would be interested in entering trade and military agreements with your nation provided one of the first two politicians wins the election (due to their agreement with us in policy).

So far so good

"approximately how long will it take to tally the ballots do you think? and what are the odds that democracy spreads to the rest of the islands, do you think they are ready?"

George Villa was sitting on the beach watching a beautiful sunset with his beautiful wife and thinking about the fate of their islands. After all, it seemed that his life work was for democracy, but living on these islands proved that democracy was just a means to an end, and AHSCA had achieved that, peace and perfection.

"Should take no more than a few days. So long as the weather holds." Shino leaned against him looking at the sky. Squall and Hurricane Season was preparing to gear up soon.

"Ive fought my life for democracy and socailism, and yet living here I have learned how none of that matters. You, me, our people, we have peace here, sure its not perfect, but it is the most perfect place in the world."

She kissed him. "It is perfect. We are free we are united."

"it is isn't it. In that case perhaps I shouldn't worry should I. "

He continued to kiss her under the setting sun...

She kissed her husband. "I should check on Marcella then get to sleep, I need to rise early tomorrow."

"Very well, I will get some wood and meet you in bed Amor."

He kissed his wife and went out to the woods...

"What you are all about to do is undertake a great civil responsibility." Shino said to the candidates. "You are all seeking to be democratically elected by your people, and in four days time, we shall know who is the victor. All understand?"

"Yes Ma'am." They all agreed

"Take care of your selves though, get plenty of sleep and eat well. I don't want any of you keeling over. And I would expect you to behave like civilized people, now I know we are a little anxious as the weather is getting stormy, but we need to remain calm and be prepared for the worst or the least." And like that a clap of thunder sounded off.

"Lady Shino, you should get going to Aurora." Anja said.

"Thank you for taking the time to visit me this morning." Shino left to board her boat for her home island. The moment she stepped off she ran to her husbands arms.
