The quiet mummers of voices drifted through the press, bouncing off of the walls enabling people across the room to hear a conversation from the other side of the room. A little spark of excitement went off then silence as President John Batther walked upon the dais and in front of a podium. John tapped the microphone then said, “Good evening.”

A few flashes of cameras went off then John stood up fully and began his speech.

“Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, to my fellow Grestonians as well as Kostemetsians, Karshkovians, Esterhazians, and Ryous alike, today will be a day that shall from now and forever live in infamy. The nations from which the races I stated before, will take part in bringing the Apocalypses to a nation said to be holy. As most of you know, we as well as many other prosperous nations, have fallen victim to a plague, a plague of terrorism which has been covered up to be a holy and righteous nation. The nation’s name? DoubleWideville.

The same people who put a bounty on my head.

The same people who put a bounty on the leaders of our allied nation Ryou Black Islands.

The same people who attempted to put briefcase nukes in our allied nation of The Beatus.

The same people who pronounced us, Allanea, and Ryou Black Islands to be fictional.

The same people who attempted to steal our land and our property and goods.

The same people to commit acts of terrorism and genocide and say they’re holy then label us to be satanic.

The same people to shoot down Greal planes, Greal being a fellow Hegemony member.

The same people who harassed our hard working loyal soldiers, who have fought day and night in the past to protect our freedom, because of their religion and race.

The same people to send a suicide mission to destroy ships from a New Grestonian Fleet.

The same people to send a suicide mission to destroy ships from a new and naïve nation named The Houle.

The same people to kill and dishonor Grestonian marines, and infantry soldiers.

This is not the first time some one or a nation has stood up against the horrors and lies they have dispersed. We are not the only nation to have a soul and step up against everything they have done.

Ryou Black Islands lead a large scale assault upon the monsters and is planning a second.

The nation of Allanea invited Field Commander Gomer Hezekiah to a dinner, then killed him.

Various special operations units from various nations have attempted to kill or find the monsters.

Ryou Black Islands set a bounty upon the Hitler Youth admirers, Jesus Youth, King David, Field Commander Gomer Hezekiah, the Lord Regent, The Council of Laity, and the Sanhedrin.

The Republic of The Beatus put a large bounty of 1.5 trillion USDs upon King David.

We set up a hunting season, meant for the hunting down of the people with bounties on their heads.

And now we, today, set up the destruction of DoubleWideville. DoubleWideville is a crippled, war torn, debris ridden, under populated, wasteland, with almost no military and close to none of an established government. They don’t have the fire power or anything really to stand against what we are doing.

We are giving them a taste of their own medicine some could say. But no, I don’t think so. I think we are giving them what was coming for them. If we didn’t start this some other nation would have done it. I just wanted to be able to know that I set up their demise, that if it wasn’t for me, they would still terrorize until some one else kills them. I just wanted to have that feeling, to feel that warmth inside of me.

After today, whenever some small nation rises up and follows in their foot steps it will remind me, and I can let out a grin, because I can say, ‘I did it, I destroyed DoubleWideville.’ Oh how that sentence feels so good to say.

For those of you who disapprove, feel it to be barbaric and warmongering, let me say this. I understand. But did we not attempt to settle it peacefully? Did we not at least try to stop and teach them how to prosper? Did we not let them be, and let them attempt to regain health and power? It was they who said that it was futile to attempt peace. It was they who out of no where puts a bounty on our ally, and my friend’s head. They tried to make peace, but that was after the fact that they killed so many, made so many lies and so many wars.

Bringing peace to DoubleWideville is bringing peace to hell.”

The crowd erupted in applause and cheering and John promptly walked off the stage and exited the Press Room. Behind him still people clapped and applaud but John threw that out of his mind. He had a nuclear war to stage.

It was half an hour after the speech that John gave on what would occur today. John was psyched and was all giddy that he himself would get to press the button that would end a nation. He sat in front of his desk, the sunlight streaming in from the large window, with six inch thick glass, that was behind him. Head Premier John Gutted and General Oliver Sacks sat on a beautiful couch, while Jack Gobafe, Head Advisor Samantha Srah, and Hawk Col. Lt. Richard Jeriklas stood up in either the corner or standing above the couch. A priest was also there, with a bible in hand, standing next to John. John sat there pondering, rubbing his hand on his chin then out of no where said, “I think it is time.”

Every one let out a quick flutter of excitement as John stood up and walked over to one of his large paintings. He un-hooked the painting off of the wall then in front of him was a panel with a radar screen, a coordinate grid, and a lot of buttons. The machine was behind six inch thick glass, like the windows. He typed in a password and the glass lifted up.

John went to send off the nukes then turned around to the priest and said, while doing the sign of the cross, “Forgive me father as I have sinned. Please do not look down upon, and forgive me for my actions, as I am about to bring death upon a nation. Forgive me of my sins and allow me to enjoy an afterlife instead of spending an eternity in hell.”

The priest nodded then said in an old worn out voice, “Now blow the shit out of those demons!”

John nodded back then turned around and placed in the coordinates, the password then hesitated for a moment to press the button which would launch the nukes. He then cursed himself for feeling sorry and pressed it. As he finger lifted off of the button 250 nuclear warheads shot out of their silos and into the air to start their course to DoubleWideville.

((ooc: Tagged. Mixed feelings on this one. IC though Karshkovia will not be attacking DWV...they have no reason to...but they will support nations attacking DWV that had the 'suitcase nukes' exploded on their soil...otherwise IC karshkovia can not support a nuclear attack. OOC I see it as a great RP experience for both sides. I'll post later))

In the opulent comfort of his private chambers, Brother-General Samson Cowell had been attempting to relax after the day's labours when his peaceful viewing of the night's MHL game (the Boca Raton Early Birds hosting the London Knights, a game billed as one that could change the entire complexion of the league) was rudely interrupted. No sooner had London scored a go-ahead goal had the picture shrunk into corner as the face of his personal assistant loomed onto the wall-mounted screen. In obsequious tones, knowing just how short a fuse the Brother-General had, he had explained that the Grestonian nuclear assault was about to begin and asked whether he'd like to watch. Earlier in the day, a Grestonian delegate had contacted Brother-Captain Ellingsen - the closest thing McPsychoville had to a foreign minister - and invited him to help "nuke DoubleWideville until it turns into ice" as repayment for a veritable slew of atrocities committed by the unfortunate nation. The webcam feed had tuned in mid-way through a speech being given by someone the Brother-General assumed to be the Grestonian President - although the feed was of fairly poor quality, it could very easily have been a porn film being shot in a military base.

Cowell had been feeling pangs of regret for DoubleWideville's situation since they had chosen to use suitcase nukes against its enemies and had naturally been turned into little more than rubble, but he'd always managed to crush them. Now, however, in the face of this speech, they'd rallied and mounted a counter-attack en masse, and so strong was the guilty feeling that he very nearly ordered the Air Force to engage and destroy the missiles the moment they were launched.

The guilt, he kept trying to tell himself, was completely irrational, McPsychoville hadn't lifted a finger to aid in the DoubleWidevillian destruction. But of course back came his words, as he knew that just as they had not done a thing to speed up their passing, nor had he done a thing to stop it.

Because of him, Greston and the other nations with dignitaries in the missile silo were to gain an undue and an unfair reputation. Smaller nations would rise up, they always did, except now there would be someone there to meet them...not with opened arms, but with a gun and a command to fall in line.

The Grestonian's words made sense, but Cowell was long gone into the depths of his guilt trip.

......Prince Leopold XII switches the television off and heads towards the conference room filled with empty cups and the lingering stench of coffee. Its been 190 minutes since the launch of the first Aeneas III missile and in between the Prince has given laborious meetings with key Esterhazan military officials, weapons experts, and cabinent members. Afterwards the Prince reluctantly faced the task of facing the merciless Esterhazan press. The clock seemingly crawls along as a slew of pompous journalists bombard the Prince with question after question. Happily the Prince concludes the conference and readies himself for a quick period of rest before spending the next hour waiting for the sign of a successfull attack. The Prince barely knows the leaders of Greston but shares a common trait with the Grestonians. Cruel and merciless villians must be suppressed....by any means necessary.

The nation of Orbath officially condemns the actions taken by Greston and especially Esterhaza. Firstly, we have seen the negative effects of Doublewideville. They had operatives in our nation, nuclear weapons were obtained from them. Doublewideville has gone through so many transformations and government changes it nearly makes my head spin. On top of this, the real man behind this has since disappeared. Despite all this, these actions were no fault of the Doublewideville civilians who will almost certainly be affected by this. Untold numbers will die and many many many more will suffer. As for Esterhaza, you appear to be a very very unstable, trigger happy government and the mere fact that you possess nuclear weapons scares the hell out of me.

The Imperial Air Command was on high alert as reports came in the Grestonians had launched over 250 ICBMs into orbit and they were targeting the already crippled and dying nation of DoubleWideville.

The Grestonians had good reasons for wanting to cleanse the nation of DoubleWideville for it’s many crimes, but the Imperial High Command could not support such a blatant act of genocide upon an already defeated and crippled people. The other problem, was that nuclear weaponry always brought about fallout that could be extremely harmful to the environment of the local region pending on how the winds were blowing.


The Grand Holy Emperor Antonio Von Antheron VIII, in his great wisdom decided to order the Imperial Air Command to intercept any nuclear ordnances that tried to pass over Imperial Deatharoni air space and orbit. This action was to send a message to the Grestonians and their allies that nuclear strikes should not be used on such a pathetic target and to show the world how the Holy Imperium of Deatharon can stand up to possible nuclear attacks….



The Imperial Surface to Air Missile Defense Systems were activated all across the Deatharoni Imperium, as Imperial Fighter Wings took off from their respective airbases, and Air Craft Carriers to intercept the Grestonian and Esterhazan ICBMS that entered into Imperial Deatharoni airspace. It was doubtful that all of the ICBMS could be intercepted and destroyed but maybe the action could give DoubleWideville a chance to save some of their people from the nuclear holocaust that was about to be unleashed upon them….


The Imperial Government made the following announcement to the International Community at large…..



OFFICAL IMPERIAL PROCLAMATION

The Holy Imperium of Deatharon formally condemns the cruel and sadistic actions committed by Greston and her allies. The nation of DoubleWideville, is a crippled state that could not pose a threat to a boy scout troop let alone a nation with a fully mobilized military force.

It is with great displeasure that the Holy Imperium of Deatharon must now raise our alert level to high, and mobilize our Imperial Air Command, to intercept any and all ICBMs that threaten Imperial Airspace and Orbit.

We do this not to irritate the nation of Greston, but to secure ourselves, and our assets, from the impending radioactive fallout that is sure to come once all those missiles reach their targets in DoubleWideville. The Imperium would once again, like to state that we are totally opposed to this senseless show of barbarism and brutality.

((ooc: unfortunately SAMs would be worthless against second or third stage ICBMs....unless you have space-based weapons there would be no way you would be able to hit his ICBMs. No SAMs currently can hit ICBMs in low earth orbit. You would only be able to use SAMs against ICBMs on reentry over your own nation. Fighters have no weapons that can hit ICBMs so that is out. Just a word of advice from someone that works in the aerospace industry. Not saying you shouldn't try but lets all be adults here and be a little realistic. Sorry it's a pet peeve of mine.))

OOC: I agree with that. The only thing is Most will be at 1200 km - 4000km above the earth moving at about 5 miles a second. Most nations' ICBMs have aluminized balloons or electronic noisemakers to confuse interception devices and radars. So they fly too high and too fast for ground and air-based weapons to hit them. You have to hit them while they boost or while they reenter the atmosphere if you are using ground or air-based weapons. Only space-based weapons have a chance when they are in mid-flight. But do blow the hell out of them if you would. I really don't like radioactive clouds floating down from DWV and making my people sick.))

I understand your anger, but we wish that you people can forget this and ignore this fueding in our part of the world. Soon it will all be over and you will be happy when you don't have to hear from DoubleWideville again. As for Stoklomolvi and Orbath, Esterhaza is not a trigger happy nation and did not decide to nuke him for no reason, we personally asked them to help us in this bombardment.

The Imperial Defense Satellite Network was online and on high alert. The nuclear ICBMs were already entering the second stage of their strike, entering into the upper levels of the atmosphere out of the range of most countermeasures. This fact however, did not deter the Imperium from stopping this nuclear holocaust from taking place. The Imperial Defense Satellite Network was promptly given the orders to intercept the ICBMS that had entered into Sub-orbital spaceflight….



The Imperial Defense Missile Satellites however were given programming to intercept as many of the Grestonian nuclear missiles as possible. The Satellites promptly began targeting the ICBMs and fired their counter-measures. The counter-measures were a specially designed smart missile. These small but highly effective warheads were designed to strike at the second stage ICBMs and attempt to destroy them before they could hit re-entry upon their target.

The People of Karshkovia must protest this attack against DWV. While we sympathize with your reasoning and agree you have reason to seek restitution and revenge against that nation for its many misdeeds, complete and utter nuclear annihilation is something we can not and will not support.

I, as both a national leader and a common man, have told you this was my stance. There is no reason for Karshkovia to use it's nuclear weapons against this nation. As a human, I implore you to destroy these missiles before they reach DWV. The human cost is too high of a price to pay for one madman's actions...and although he is no longer in command, you are playing his game!

Think rationally about this please. King David knew he could anger some nation to the point that they would attack his nation with nuclear weapons. Look at how he turned the world's hatred from him to you. No one is talking about or thinking about what he has done...they are speaking on what you are about to do. You will not only become a mass murderer in the eyes of the world, your nation will be destroyed by those seeking revenge for mass genocide. The nation of DWV becomes a martyr for this extremest Christianity and a rally point for other nations with similar beliefs.

The ICBMs were still taking their course going faster than ever. A few had been shot down but 216 of them still flew across the sky and nearing DoubleWideville every second. Below them lay oceans and every once and a while large strips of land. One ICBM, which specifically chosen to carry a camera which would film the sight of the destruction of DoubleWideville caught every little thing on tape even sound and audio. The tape then started to film a little bleeping noise, going off every second. A white layer of translucent material start comes over the ICBMs. It continued to make a bleeping noise, like a little pang of a radar system. It continued, over and over again, then the translucent material covered almost all of the ICBM. One little area was left then the material covered it, covering the entire ICBM. As it reach the end it bleeped again then as it went to bleep one more time the ICBM blew into a millions shards of metal and flame. Smoke came from the area that was now nothing but air. The same thing occurred to some of the other nukes at the same time, all of the nukes that were close to the first one went down with it. It was a giant fire works marvel. After a minute 100 of the ICBMs were blown to pieces, gone forever, and more were dropping fast, by the second. After four minutes not one of the ICBMs were left, and not one made it to DoubleWideville.

We hear at Zoingo would like to politely say, this is nuts guys. Alot of people have said this already, and we will say it as well, so lets look at this:

The words rang through his ears again, the words from the letters sent by Stoklomolvi, and Karshkovia. The words genocide and mass-murder stood out the most. Over and over again, time after time, genocide, murder, genocide, murder, genocide, murder.

“SHUT UP!” screamed John as he pulled out his Colt and shot the paper six times. The gun fire echoed through the room and hall and an alarm went off signaling the nearest guards. Tens guards with theirs guns drawn jumped into the room in a matter if seconds.

John didn’t even take the time to turn around he just said in a quiet, angered, raspy voice, “Get out! Get out! GET OUT” The guards didn’t say a word and left the room leaving John alone again, with every instrument, all of the books, all of the papers, and unfortunately the still opened case to the Nuclear system.

John walked over to the nuclear case and said to it, “God damn you.”

The ICBMs were still taking their course going faster than ever. A few had been shot down but 216 of them still flew across the sky and nearing DoubleWideville every second. Below them lay oceans and every once and a while large strips of land. One ICBM, which specifically chosen to carry a camera which would film the sight of the destruction of DoubleWideville caught every little thing on tape even sound and audio. The tape then started to film a little bleeping noise, going off every second. A white layer of translucent material start comes over the ICBMs. It continued to make a bleeping noise, like a little pang of a radar system. It continued, over and over again, then the translucent material covered almost all of the ICBM. One little area was left then the material covered it, covering the entire ICBM. As it reach the end it bleeped again then as it went to bleep one more time the ICBM blew into a millions shards of metal and flame. Smoke came from the area that was now nothing but air. The same thing occurred to some of the other nukes at the same time, all of the nukes that were close to the first one went down with it. It was a giant fire works marvel. After a minute 100 of the ICBMs were blown to pieces, gone forever, and more were dropping fast, by the second. After four minutes not one of the ICBMs were left, and not one made it to DoubleWideville.

We have recently recorded the detonation of several hundred nuclear ICBMs in mid air flight over the ocean. After review by military analysts we have concluded that you must have terminated the missiles in mid flight. We would like to first congratulate you on making the best possible move in a very bad situation. At the same time, we hope this serves as a reminder. Your actions must be better thought out. Your inability to think rationally will surely be your downfall.
