Message to the International Community

Hail and good tidings friends of the international community. We, the Senatus de Roma V have decided, after much debate, that it would greatly benefit our nation and others if we were to conduct an embassy exchange between our nation and the other nations that make up the world.

So it brings us great pleasure and honor to officially announce the Republic of Roma V is opening its doors to the international community to construct an embassy in our nation as well as invite us to do so in their own.

Below are the fields we expect interested nations to fill in to apply for the construction of their embassy in the grand city of Rome.

We do have certain rules, regulations, and policies embassies are expected to follow however. First of all, there are to be no RPGs, Magnums, LMGs, Machineguns, and certain caliber assault rifles in the embassy's armory. There will be no military vehicles kept on the embassy's property. This includes armed helicopters, APCs, Tanks, and so on. And while the ambassador and those who work/stay at the embassy are on its property boundaries they are allowed to follow their home nation's laws. But once once in Roma V territory their are expected to abide by Roman law.

Once you've sent in your application and it has been passed we will then begin the construction of your nation's embassy. Upon its completion we will send word to your nation and invite the ambassador and those accompanying him to come to Rome and occupy the embassy.

Hail friends of the Empire of Diggledom. We, the Senatus de Roma V, are honored to send this letter to you to tell you we have debated heavily the topic of your nation's application and decided to give it our approval. As requested, we will begin construction of a Diggledomian embassy in the city of Rome immediately. We will also create a section of the embassy to house the private quarters of the ambassador, his wife, and his daughter. You will be notified upon the completion of your nation's embassy. However, regarding the request to allow embassy evacuation procedures every three months with the use of two armed helicopters and one unarmed helicopter we cannot allow. Every three months is somewhat excessive and disruptive to the populace that will surround the embassy. We will, at most every year, allow such a procedure as it is in our better interests to make sure your ambassador, his family, and his employees are safe. We also cannot allow the presence of armed helicopters in our airspace within the city of Rome as it once again may cause panic or fear amongst the populace. However, we will make an exception if the armed helicopters stop at the nearest airbase to have their ammunition removed temporarily. Their ammunition, however, will be returned to them upon the completion of the exercise. If you object to this than we encourage you to send a reply to this letter on the matter. As you asked, we have determined the price of housing your foreign aircraft at a vacant hangar in the closest military base to the city of Rome, Caesar Air Force Base. The current standing price for the hangar itself is $30,000 United Nations standard dollars. Upkeep costs and maintenance prices raise the price to $55,000 United Nations standard dollars. Pure speculation it may be, but there is a reported possiblity from the Roma V embassy in Rostok that a diplomatic alliance between Agroprom and Roma V is in the pipeline. Our contact in the embassy, who will remain unnamed, told us that high level talks are occuring between the two nations at this very moment, regarding a potential legal and military link between the two nationstates. The extent of the deal is unknown - more details are to be revealed in the future.

This would mark a huge leap forward in Agroprom affairs, according to our foreign affairs editor, Martyn Scazh. Agroprom has traditionally preferred keeping its affairs internal, right down to its economic choices and military exercises. Such an alliance would mark a major step towards interventionism and a great chance for the otherwise suffocated Agroprom economy to extend outwards.

However, in regards to your vehicle selection of a transport plane it must be held and obtained at a nearby military airport. If you wish, you may purchase a hangar for $45,000 USD. Upkeep costs will cost $20,000 USD each year. Also, we must kindly ask you select a different sidearm for your security as the Desert Eagle is a very lethal firearm and we must keep in mind that the lives of those who surround the embassy and or are located near it are not in harms way.

Also, regarding your request for the presence of honor guard we will allow however they may not act as an extension of your security force. We also agree to your request of ample landscape and indoor space for hosting events. The embassy will be equipped with a large ballroom, parlor, and dinning hall as well as a lovely garden with plenty of space for young Karl to have a soccer net or trampoline with which to play with while staying at the embassy.

The Desert Eagle is a standard issue side-arm in all of Northern Rangerian embassies and military installations. The security personnel is well aware of the weapon's capabilities, and safety protocol is heavily emphasized during training. It would be quite problematic to look for a suitable replacement. Rest assured, however, that the security personnel are only allowed to use the sidearm in extreme emergency. If it soothes your worries, we are ready to also issue them fold-in batons as the first choice of weapon.

As for your suggestion in relation to the aircraft, we find your terms acceptable.

These terms are acceptable to Uthalla's military government. The ambassador was not happy at the prospect of being without sniper cover when making public appearances; you understand that we have emerged from decades of civil war and all members of the government are more security conscious than most.
