Ever since the Lekos incident, The Astaterian military added more and more cruisers and frigates, including the new Strike Cruisers which were armed with heavy lasers and its shields were better then most Astaterian ships.. The Pirates and a few Astaterian rebels managed to also get some decent ships with the help of some smugglers. Cargo ships were being attacked every day, causing a outrage in the Senate, they demanded a end to the Pirates.
