General Landry was a veteran combatant. He had served with the units in this force before, and the commanders knew him. Their CRT, Combined Regimental Team, had pioneered the use of the TTR. The soldier complained about the rounds because it meant that they couldn't lounge around all day. The CO's laughed, and ordered the units through more training, knowing that they would be glad when the day came when they had to fight in a real war.

Now, they where in this god forsaken town, preparing to defend it. Luckily, they had found a TV station near the town hall, and they where using it to communicate. The main area had been jury rigged to serve as the command post, with large screens showing intel from UAV's, Hyperions, the Key Hole 13 orbiting over head, the Key Hole 13's over the other two 1/4 the equator that are able to view the area. The Lacrosse Radar Satellite constellation was hooked in, and a Mentor SigInt had been re-stationed to provide constant intel. The GPS had all been set to Universal Transverse Mercator, and the DSP Sats where using their IR to scan the ground for hotspots.

Meanwhile, the rest of the unit was digging in. The fields southwest of the city had been sprinkled with Anti-Tread Mines (EMP designed to stop treads in training exercises), TTR Claymores, and Anti-Tank ditches and pop-up dragon's teeth. Everything south of the train line was booby-trapped, and range flags had been set up for the snipers to use for wind and adjustment.

Lancers had set up along the tracks, each one positioned along barricades to drive the attacking forces down toward ambushes by Machine Guns, ATGM's, and AGL's.

at the rail bridges, low powered explosives that produce red clouds of paint had been set up to trip-wires to represent bombs capable of taking down the bridge and enemy units with it. ground radar and motion sensors had been set up along side avenues, allowing the forces to prepare in case of attack.

on the lone road bridge into the town, two Anti-Tank Companies had been set up in ambush.

OOC: The Barricades lead all forces toward the interior train station, all roads, and then along the road into the open area that A-Flight is hovering over.

General Antonio Martinez looked over the map of the defender in this training exercise. This of course would be the first Joint training exercise that Mokastana took part in, so not only was he suppose to take the city, but look good doing it. He lead one of the few Jaguar Shock Divisions of Mokastana, which was some of the best of the best soldiers of Mokastana, to be a Jaguar you had to have seen combat before. Not only that but have two confirmed kills to your name. You had to be able to take a life without thinking, to fight to survive. So fighting in a training exercise was kinda masturbation when you could be having really great sex.

"Shit, they are well fortified. Normally I would call in artillery and just pound it until they surrendered but we are suppose to be able to Blitz, not very effective when they already had the chance to fortify up. Well, lets see what these new toys can do."

He planned for an attack in the morning, it would be from the southeast, allowing his infantry to assume a few buildings and form up a line across the railway, crossing that would be the first target. The sun would be on his side, allowing them to see the enemy with a minor annoyance to them....

The KH-13 watched as he left his Headquarters. Together with the other KH-13's, the system was able to show an almost three-dimensional image.

General Landry sighed. Rumors of a three dimensional planning board had been around for years, though they still hadn't become real.

"Okay, we have a force building to our south. We can't let them know that we know. Dispatch sealed orders to all forces to be read to move into position Alpha at 0900 tomorrow Make sure the lancers have their polarizing lenses on, just in case we see scouts coming forward. I want them to be met with fire from all over. I want the EW to be ready to jam enemy radio communications and to protect against jamming. Tell the Mechanized HQ' Companies that they need to wait until their targets are closer. There is a possibility that those rifled barrels are going to slow down our ammo. Make sure the Hyperions are ready for rapid deployment, and I want them to clear a path for the Air Assault Regiment to get into their rear. Have the Swordsworn and the Grenadiers move forward to re-enforce the Lancers and Urban. Order the Lancers to put out patrols. I want men armed with Battle Rifles ready and lying in wait for the enemy forces. Get men out there to double check our traps and make sure they are ready. Once that is done, blow the bridges, with the exception of Bridge 6 and 7, and make sure those can be dropped quickly if necessary."

Two UAVs flew ahead and over the enemy positions, getting an idea of troops movements and more importantly, AA abilities. From there the Morning blitz into the town commenced. leading the Charge was an Infantry Company with an AT company right behind them. Using the Ironhearts they speed down the streets, and kept their watch keeper systems up and ready for enemy AT fire. Instead of the usual metal pellets the Watch keepers were reloaded with rubber balls, the idea was to still be able to knock a paint round off course and not cause causalities, which the system could do if anyone was close enough to the blast.

To the west of the rush the Indirect fire team was getting into position. Jaguars dismounted and looked for ground mines and other traps.

OOC: sorry for short post, will post troop movements soon, got a headache and possibly the flu....this sucks

The UAV's flew over head, revealing the very big airships that hovered over the area. As they moved into rang, a pair of stinger missiles where fired at each, with the hope of denying the enemy much needed intel. The Radar in them went from detection to jamming. Radio, Shortwave, and Microwave communications were jammed, leaving only wired communications left. The TAP'ian army specialized in this, using "Bitch Boxes" or Sound Powered Phones to communicate over wire.

Claymores with proximity fuzes, mainly ground radar or motion sensor, went off as troops approached them, peppering soldiers with TTR pellets. Ironhearts that came to close where blasted with yellow paint, and small EMP bursts designed to disable the engines where set off.

Designated Marksmen with the Lancers fired TTR's at the on rushing troops, hoping to drive them to the ground. Their objectives where clear, take out Officers and NCO's, and if nothing else to throw the Mokastana Forces into chaos. A trio of advance teams with spikes waited for the Ironhearts to pass their area and fired at the lead lead vehicle, and then retreating into the city and using marked trails, setting up their second ambush spots.

Reports began to filter into the Command Center of opening contacts. A large map showed them on the interactive Command Board. Most interesting to General Landry were the reports coming in from the 1st Flight, 26th Hyperions. Sappers were coming in, and they looked to be very serious about their task.

"Hit them with smoke first, Red if possible, and then parachute flares. Distract them as much as possible, and then rain three HE shells per mortar on them. Order the SE Mortar Teams to fire on the incoming troops. Five HE shells per mortar."

The mortar crews complied, dropping five red smoke shells on the positions. Next, each one fired parachute flares, dropping three red shells each. Next, the HE shells came in, dropping white paint on the enemy sappers. The SE team fired their white paint shells at the incoming troops.

Meanwhile, the 1st Wing of the 26th Hyperions moved out, each of the six airships moving out to get the best view possible. A Microwave antennae on the back shot information along a narrow band, one left out of the jamming for that reason. They scanned the area in front of them, preparing for the Aerial Blitz that would occur should the opportunity be presented to get the Air Assault Regiment into the rear of the enemy and shoot up their vehicles from that position. Anticipating enemy AA Fire, they began to spin up their weapons.

As the attackers neared the rail lines, they encountered ditches and dragon's teeth, all of them designed to stop the Ironhearts from getting across the lines.

As they continued moving in, the patrols where forced to pull back, in fear of being cut off and getting taken apart piecemeal.

"Airships, what the hell. Get the Shepards in position to fill em full of rockets and if they move closer load up the IFVs with AP rounds and fire at em."

The lead IFVs were either covered in yellow paint or hit by EMPs. The Watchkeeper systems were doing a good job of hitting paint balls before they hit the IFV but they ran into a problem, because the WATCHKEEPER was designed to shoot up an incoming rocket with a "shotgun blast" it was suppose to blow up before it made it to the IFV, maybe some shrapnel would scratch it but nothing more. However the rubber balls would hit the paint and it would break open before it made it to the vehicle, but the IFV would still get covered by yellow paint. Therefore it was impossible to tell if there was a kill or not.

The red smoke poured down on the soldiers and those around where the smoke bombs hit would lay down and play dead. Some even began to play cards and waited for other orders or a "medic" unit to find them. The Werewolfs however were seeing where the red traces in the sky and began to calculate the location of the mortars and began to rain down their own white smoke grenades on them. ALong with white smoke was blue, which was suppose to represent...umm...smoke.

In the chaos IFV main guns were firing on MG positions and other soldiers with white paint if they were in building and red paint rounds if they were in the streets. Some Jaguars were hit by the new rounds but kept on fighting. They shot back and moved in to building to fortify and assault enemy positions.

Once word got back to General Martinez about the yellow paint issues he called up the other general to bring up the problem.

"This is General Martinez, we have a slight problem with the paint. Our Watchkeepers are doing thier jobs but the IFVs still get caked in yellow paint."

I know, they are using the same paint system that everything else is. Didn't want to waste perfectly good tech. What type are you using at that level? I gnereally use Ravens at the platoon level, and Pioneers at the Regiment level

OOC: That isn't something I expected to have to deal with. Lol, nice job pointing it out.

Also, the Red Smoke and flares are just a distraction. As I pointed out, I sent in three HE Shells filled with White Paint. They are meant to cover up the location of the mortars, as they billow up and make a large volume of smoke upon impact.

IC:
As the Shepards moved in, the Airships moved forward at ten miles an hour, until they where directly overhead. Four of the six aircraft dropped CBU (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CBU-97_Sensor_Fuzed_Weapon)-97 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THZvZ6S4C14)'s that replaced the charges with yellow paint. The Skeets sought out the armored vehicles and dropped a single yellow ball in each. In all, forty skeets where released by each of four bombs along the highway, seeking out the enemy targets. On top of that, the Air Ship commanders had loaded in sounds of the munitions going off and dropped a parachute MP3 player with them on each bomb as a joke. With the loud speakers that had been wired on board, it sounded like an actual battle.

White paint began to fill some buildings, and the soldiers inside started slinging it at each other as a joke. Others began to make rude faces and call cat calls at the opposing soldiers as they came forward.

Others where able to move before the vehicles found their locations. One of the Spike Teams got caught up in a blast, and began to obsessively clean their weapon.

Some of the soldiers hit with TTR's went down hard, and had to be dragged out of their ambush spots, while others got hit in an arm or a leg, and cursed as the limb went numb. Those who still had arms working fired on enemy troops that where in their line of sight, hoping they would be able to get in a few kills before they "Died" so that the sergeants wouldn't chew them out at the after action report.

"I want my Cougars dispatched there immediately. All vehicles are to report to the current engagement site and clean house. Load up the AGL's with the AT rounds and send them in."

99 Cougars per Regiment, a grand total of 396 Cougars, moved in. Their guns began to flash as soon as the enemy force was in range. Meanwhile, the Lancers began an organized fallback, leaving claymores in their wake. Using the Cougars as cover, they fell to their Beta Positions, and set up shop.

This triggered three more Spike Teams to move into their forward ambush spots, and to fire on the enemy targets. They laughed as the Watchman system coated the armor in yellow paint, and looked for EMP bombs that could be jury-rigged to their weapons.

"Get B-Flight on the unit's flanks. Have them ready for full bombardment if neccessary.

As the mortars began to see the smoke clouds enveloping them, they packed up their weapons and were gone. The clouds of smoke meant tha they had been targeted, and if they wanted to continue harassing fire, then they had to move and fast.

"Airship Coming in!"

"Copy that, lets show em hell."

The airships were coming, but they were moving slowly. Even without the UAVs in the area Jaguar snipers and teams on rooftops watched the giant blimps float closer and closer. Giving the Shepards the time they needed to get into position. Even with radio jamming they passed on the signal via hand signals and runners, depending on smoke thickness. Other then that loudspeakers were used speaking codes, both real and fake. Meanwhile snipers with this new ammunition were taking up positions in the buildings to try and
get a better look or to take out heavy weapons crews.

Now the 16 shepherds that were in the battle now sat in intersections and the open fields watching the massive blimps come towards them. Jaguar crews on the rooftops with M3s fired white paint laced "high explosive rounds" as shepherds raced froward and fired rockets and 25mm rounds then retreated to back behind the lines.

Troops were pouring out of IFVs and taking building to try and form a decent line against the enemy traps and ambushes. Using rooftops and higher floors many units would visually stake out enemy units and sniper or report, depending on what they had. Even with radio jamming they passed on the signal via hand signals and runners, depending on smoke thickness. Other then that loudspeakers were used speaking codes, both real and fake as to confuse the enemy on what the codes really meant. Meanwhile snipers with this new ammunition were taking up positions in the buildings to try and get a better look or to take out enemy heavy weapons crews.

As the first battalion raged on in the street the 2nd battalion joined the battle. Sending the werewolves(tank destroyer) in ahead of the team up the railroad tracks they fired their cannons in an attempt to "destroy" the enemy cougars. Not far behind them were the ATGM Ironhearts firing more yellow paint missiles into the enemy. A few werewolves broke off to engage the mortar teams that had been harrassing the first battalion and requested smoke from the Indirect fire Werewolves to cover their approach via jerry rigged loudspeakers on the werewolves.

The rest of the cougars would then have to street fight with the Iron hearts, while Mokan M3 crews fired from windows, covering any units with yellow paint. The IFVs main guns were loaded with "AP" rounds and began full automatic fire on the enemy units that attacked.

Now to gain some air superiority two of the four Hind companies (20) raced in over the battle. Going much faster then the airships, behind them was two flight teams (one flight team = 5) of apaches. The Hinds spread out, one flight team over to the north to get air superiority over the rest of the nehborhood south of the railroad tracks, while another went east to probe for AA. The two in the middle went to engage the zepplins. The ten Hinds each fired two R-73s with yellow paint towards the bulging targets and once they got close enough they would pepper them with "AP" yellow .50 caliber paint balls. The apaches were far enough behind to supply air cover for anyone who needed it.

The Airships started with their 105mm's, dropping massive amounts of white paint on the ground before them as they went. As incoming fire came in, they elevated their levels, heading for the ceiling. Not all of them would reach it, and one got hit badly enough that it did what they were all trained to do, fire missiles blindly forward as you go down, and hope something hits. The other five made the Angel's 30 ceiling, though a second one managed to get hit by some rockets, and simulated a list. As it did so, it made its way to the enemy fleet to drop CBU-97's.

105 mm Shells, 56mm Shells, 40mm Grenades, and CBU-97 Sensor Fuzed Weapons poured down on the enemy formations.

As the enemy snipers reached the roofs, CheyTacs and DMR's opened up on them from around the city. Supported by a Mortar Emplacement further in town, they continued firing and laying down paint.

Below them, the Defending Forces moved back, falling to secondary positions.

In the air, the other two flights of Hyperions moved in at that time. Though A and B Flight had been moving slowly, C and D where booking. Each one moved at around 200 mph, firing their Air to Air missiles at the incoming Hinda and Apaches. With the Zeppelins distracting the enemy AA, the Airborne Assault Regiment took off, their 99 Hinds swinging around south, their rocket pods set up with yellow and red missiles.

The white paint poured on the IFVs and soldiers...nearly half of the incoming battalion was considered "DEAD" and began cleaning off the RADAR and other important external components on there IFVs. Those who managed to avoid paint or fled into the buildings continued to fire yellow and white paint rounds into the sky against the airships. The sky was lighting up with paint. Apaches and Hinds were now firing off chaff and flares to try and avoid getting hit by Incoming missiles. The zeppelins could go higher then the helicopters, that was a given, so the Hinds disengaged and continued into the city to hunt for mortars and AA, while the Apaches tried to fire up stingers into the bottom of the baskets of the Zepplins.

As for the ground infantry in the buildings, they hid in the inside as the buildings got caked in paint and avoided getting hit, many crews on the rooftops would barely make it downstairs without getting hit. Luckily the enemy was still falling back, allowing the Werewolfs to blitz forward and attack the secondary positions with white paint, as the hinds flew over and sprayed em down with yellow paint rounds. The railroad entrance was a bottle neck, but if they could expand far enough they could get a foot on the enemy forces. More IFVs off map were preparing to race in, thier goal was to get behind the werewolfs and cross the railroad and into the main city, then begin block by block fighting against the enemy.

IFVs were still everywhere, and the Hind was an old helicopter, wherever the air assault regiment would try an attack they would be fired at by thousands of yellow rounds.

The Zeppelins altered their fire to focus on the apaches, and set up sweeping patrol formations according to Base Delta Zero. As the werewolves showed themselves, more of the Sensor Fuzed Weapons dropped down, one for every forty vehicles below them. (OOC: The Sensor Fuzed weapon drops a bomb that splits into ten submuntions with four heat seeking skeets each. the Skeets are 75-90% accurate based on ambient heat. In a full war zone, with large amounts of fires and such, it drops down to 75%) The Apaches managed to bring down a third Hyperion, and like the others, it went out in a blaze of glory. The other three withdrew, emptying their weapons as they went.

As the vehicles moved through the former primary lines, they came across the tank barricades. They drove the vehicles around in circles, twists, and into dead ends. And all over the place, hidden anti-tank weapons with laser trips fired off, launching blasts of paint at their targets.

The Hinds had found their target, and as they raced over, they pumped AP Paint Rockets at the IFV's as they passed overhead. Twelve of them bore CBU-97 Sensor Fuzed Weapons on their outer pylons, and dropped them on the IFV's.

OOC: Dang, I love those CBU-97's

The Shepard crews were having one hell of a time, zeppelins and incoming hinds, the remaining 30 Shepards were calling in more forces, while they fired off volleys of SALY28s into the Zepplins. Yet before the Hinds could get in range RADAR showed a large mass of the Hinds flying in that weren't Mokan. Of the 30 12 managed to get an angle(buildings are had to shoot around) and they fired off 36 missiles at the incoming halos. However when they got in range of the IFVs main gun the battle tore up, for all the modern technology in the war zone it had came down to halo vs. armour with nothing but AP shells. When the AT bombs fell however, the story changed complety, infantry around them took cover as the IFVs popped smoke to try and mask themselves. In real battle they probably would of fired off frag grenades as well to confuse the heat signatures, but once again, this was not real war. Infanrty ducted as the paint rounds hit many IFVs and returned fire with M3 weapons systems.

The the werewolf fired off smoke around them masking there visual and IR signatures, severely killing the effectiveness of the CBU-97s, how many still got hit by the enemy weapons. Apaches that were considered killed flew back to the operations base to be cleaned off while the survivors and Sheppards continued to fire rockets at the floating blimps across the map. A team of Hinds managed to get to the Werewolfs who were now facing tank traps and other such problems, they needed engineers to blow the traps and cut straight through the maze the enemy made and head towards the town center.

With that the IFVs being attacked by the Hinds turned into the city to try and use the building for cover as two more infantry companies entered the battlefield. There orders were to get to the werewolfs and help get them to inside the city.

Paint and smoke were everywhere.

Helos broke off left and right as they where hit, reducing the force by a sixth. Randomly selected soldiers jumped out, parachuting to the ground to act as casualties, while another, smaller group did the same to act as survivors. Another Hyperion went down, the fourth one today, and underwent standard crash protocols. Its weapons all fired as quickly as possible in the general direction of the enemy, and it kept going until it reached the tops of the city and then returned to base.

As the enemy helos landed, a bright light went off, and yellow paint sprayed every where from multiple locations.

With the IFV's retreating into the city, the Hinds went to work, dropping off soldiers in Fire Team and Squad Strength and providing air cover for the troops.

The Hyperions switched over to true gun ship mode, and began to use their artillery on the enemy vehicles. Using IR mode, they called fire down on the enemy troops, steering clear of the positions with friendly soldiers in them.

The IFVs raced into the city with reinforcements and engineers, the werewolfs were sitting ducks, but luckily managed to avoid getting noticed thanks to a shit load of heavy smoke. They drove in supplying AA fire against the large mass of Hinds and other massive machines in the sky. Mokan Hinds and Apaches moved into engage the enemy Hinds and achieve air superiority over the amour. Even with howitzers shells raining down on them they still managed to keep most of the force alive. Though many of the dead IFVs and Werewolfs opened up and the crews set up dummy heat signatures on the vehicles to pretend they were dead. Most were barbecues and other such cheap devices to make it look like the vehicles were "on fire" from the battle.

Back in the city the Engineers were now blowing and disabling the tank traps to try and cut a way to the center. Under the cover of Helicopters and werewolf rounds they started the slow process of getting around the ambush sites and hunting for enemy units.

In the fields were the IFVs had retreated from the Hinds were landing amongst a field of infantry and booby traps. Under the cover of smoke and debris crews would fire M3 yellow paint rounds into landing Hinds, one was even hit on the cockpit, covering the pilot from seeing anything. Others would hide and shoot the "knock out" rounds, as Jaguars were calling them, into the men jumping off the Halos. In short it would be quickly a large scale shooting mess where both sides were covered in smoke and radios were jammed.

OOC: Sorry for the long time between posts. Been a long, hard week. Just as an FYI, that yellow paint was triggered by a Ground Radar System that read a critical mass at the blockade and sent out shaped charges in all directions. In reality, they would have been Krakatoa (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXp5czdufoQ) Shaped Charge Systems. They where set off around the Werewolves and engineers)

IC:
As the Hyperions viewed the inefective results, they activated an automated aim assistance system, and turned their LACROSSE Radar Satellites on the enemy forces. This allowed them to see through the smoke and the heat, and directly target individual vehicles. (OOC: If you ever watch footage of AC-130 Gunships, they are very accurate because they have direct line of site, which is what the Hyperions are doing from their very high level.)

In the midst of the morass, a few teams of rogues formed up by chance, and disappeared, ordered to do what ever they could to harass the enemy and to set up ambushes at supply lines.

This city was heavily defended, just like any mokan city would be in the event of an invasion. Most of the engineers in this operation had served under Generalissimo Yuri in battles of Greal. So they were used to working under extreme fire, this felt more like a training exercise, except for when they got hit and went numb, that kinda killed the fun in it. One was disarming a Krakatoa when the paint spattered all over him and threw him back a few feet where he hit his head on a werewolf. The men around him began treating him for a concussion and requested a medical evac for an injured man. A dead hind was sent to get him.

Other then that incident they were slowly cutting straight into the city. However most of the werewolfs by now were considered dead thanks to these blimps, despite that AA missiles were still flying into the zepplins. They wanted those out of the sky, now. Most infantry was now inside building of the main city and were commencing block by block fighting, the engineers were taking to long and the vehicles were being destroyed left and right, to the Jaguars that wasn't acceptable. So they began going into buildings and fighting room to room against the enemy. Snipers and sharp shooters began to take positions in high windows to began firing into other buildings. Many time it would become two building facing each other with bullets flying back and forth...with an occasional rocket and paint flying.

In the field Jaguars were making to the buildings to the west and were forming up a defensive line in a few that were unoccupied. Those that didnt began to form up ambush positions in case some other blinded Americans came across them.

As for supplies, most were being loaded into building on the original stretch of road around the Shepards and the defensive perimeter for reinforcements. Which were coming up in larger amounts. half the regiment was in the battle now, while the other half was still on the way.

General Landry looked at the map. D Company of the Lancers was gone, along with C Company of the Urbans, and the Headquarters Company of the Lancers had been forced to the main Headquarters. Charlie and Echo companies of the Grenadiers had been moved up, along with the full force of the Dragoons.

Overhead, another Hyperion went down, following standard procedure, it fired off it's weapons into the enemy forces before returning to the staging point.

Combat Engineers in the Anti-Tank Regiments set more and more Krakatoa's, including anti-personnel versions. On top of that, claymores with laser trip-wires were set up throughout the city, including many set to prevent Krakatoas from being disarmed, while other Krakatoa's where defended by Heat Reading Claymores and some with just laser tripwires.

Against the enemy snipers, Designated Marksmen and Snipers focused on taking out their enemy opposites. Most of them where enjoying the situation, though many where annoyed, the ones who enjoyed playing god mainly. However, with their longer ranges, supported by the sheer number of Lancers that where pouring into the lines. They where supported by the Grenadiers, as they formed up at firm lines of battle. TAP'ian Cougars, armed with Machine Guns and Automatic Grenade Launchers, where dug in alongside Abrams and Pershing's. Mortars where re-positioned to deal with the changing situation, and harassing fire sent in on the enemy forces. 20mm Grenades and 12.7mm TTR rounds rained down on enemy forces as Apaches roared overhead firing in Anti-Personnel and HEAT rounds from rocket pods loaded onto the bottom of the pylons.

Hyperions where redirected to the new line, and continued firing down their artillery rounds with line of sight guidance. Anti-Tank missiles and CBU-97's joined them.

Meanwhile, the Hinds continued their blitz into the rear of the enemy fortifications. Though losses where growing heavy, the weapons of the Hinds where doing their best to chew up the enemy positions. If they where lucky, they would find the central rear position and do massive amounts of damage to the enemy rear.

"God damn I hate war games..." General Antonio Martinez was cursing the problems between real war and fake war, already he had had one man airlifted out for a concussion where medics were treating him, in the back of a fake battlefield. Most of his werewolf AT guns were taken out after their charge into the city, leaving the infantry to fend for themselves, luckily the Werewolfs with the big grenade launchers were still doing thier job of firing white paint grenades into the city where infantry would need them.

The hinds on the other hand, as they approached the back lines suddenly caught the attention of all the AA in the area as they realized they were under an air attack. The 28 remaining fired three SALY28s each totaling 84 missiles at extremely close range. When they got closer IFV cannons, and 25mm automatic cannons would plow the way through the skies. To be honest it was a suicide charge, but it could be a distraction.

The soldiers in the city were taking heavy fire, and with the Shepards distracted by the Hinds it would be impossible to clear out the skies, but luckily there were hinds offering support fire, each had two R-73 rockets and began pounding the enemy helicopters with em while giving the American infantry cannon fire of their own.

If these were real rounds no doubt the east side of the city would be smothering ruins by now. There was no other term to describe the fighting besides....clusterfuck

"and to think, had we waited one more week we could of tried out those cruise missile launchers from Lyras."

"Sir, I got a call from Generalissimo Canarias."

"Mi Dios, what does he want?"

"It concerns Juventud."

With that he picked up the phone and listened for awhile, it seemed that Juventud was going to plan, but his division was to prepare for deployment in 48 hours. whether or not the war game was done.

"very well sir."

with that the phone hung up...

The Hinds dove for the deck, trying to deposit troopers and avoid fire. Flares popped like fireworks as they went, distracting the enemy missiles. One of them did get it's Tail rotor messed up, and began to spin out of control. The passengers tried to leap free, using the mesh in their uniforms to try and glide to safety, though one of them wound up blacking out before he could get free.

The cannons and grenade launchers where less accurate, owing to the unsteady movements of the Hinds. Twelve though, managed to get hit, and sat down, their crews relaxing, and their troopers laying down to play dead.

The Air Assault Infantry all had one primary mission. Lay a beacon in the enemy territory. If it was placed, a Hyperion that had been "Downed" would hover overhead, play the sound of a falling God Rod, and dump yellow paint over everything with in the radius of an Osprey Rod.

The enemy Hinds were just too irritating too ignore. As a wing of Apachees veered off, the Hyperions took aim, and fired away. Sidewinders, 25mm, Stingers. All were let loose from the Hyperions. After the brief, momentary distraction, they returned to their deadly business, and continued to fire up and down the enemy line. One enterprising gunner took the 25mm cannons, and began to lay down covering fire for the Air Assault troops. His Hyperion's 105mm gunner took over, and he returned to working the slaughter below him. Soon, all of the 105 gunners where following suit.

Behind the lines, the SeaBees kept up their work of laying booby traps, and via the wired in networks and comms, sent those directions up to the troops manning the Beta Lines.

Meanwhile, the Logistics Transportation units where booking for the Beta Lines, carrying ammo and water and batteries for the soldiers. The water was a special mix, used to provide nutrients and Stims to the soldiers, while the batteries would resupply the soldier's Land Warrior Systems. Over half of the soldier relied on those LW's for their Battle Music.

General Antonio Martinez picked up his phone, his map was in disarray, but that was the last of his worries, the last few hours had sent the situation into chaos. Imminent attack on Alfegos, Greal falling apart, Juventud about to be invaded. All Mokan Forces were being recalled to Mokastana for deployment. He was calling his American counterpart, the mock war had to be canceled.

"Hello, sir, General Antonio Martinez again, look I hate to do this but i got orders from higher up. We got to cancel the war game. My division is being recalled to Mokastana for immediate deployment. I give the battlefield to you. My forces have been given the order to pull out and clean off the vehicles for deployment, war will not forgive as easily as paint. My apologies General."

"Understandable General. I am kinda cut off from intel right now because of the Scramblers, so what is happening? If anything is happening to Greal, than we might get called up as well."
