1. Please do your own math for your orders.
2. There are two separate systems of orders – for governments and corporations (where you state "My nation orders N of X, money wired"), and civilian. If you want to claim that a given Allanean product sells in your nation, please just state "N of these rifles/shotguns/boots are sold in my nation every year.
3. Some of the designs here are not made by me and are not RL designs, but are designs by other players. They appear here with their permission. If you want your design to appear on this storefront, please contact me.

Allanean Arms Bayonet Knife Mark I
When Allanean Arms were asked to produce a traditional bayonet-knife for the Allanean Army and Marines, they didn't think twice about what they would use as the basis for this weapon. Even at that time – before the Edolian Wars, when Allanea was a young nations of only 150 million population – it was clear what the mainstay combat knife would be modeled upon. And never since has Allanean Arms, Incorporated - or the Allanean Army – felt the need to change anything major about this knife.
Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, we present the Allanean Arms Bayonet-Knife Mark One – modeled, of course, on another classic design, the Bowie knife. It's likely that if Jim Bowie would have seen it, he would have somersaulted in his grave – with joy. And so will you once you have your hand on one of these babies.
Blade shape: As you already understand, this is a Bowie knife. The blade is ten inches long, exceeding by half an inch the blade length of the Gerber Bowie knife that served the Allanean Arms designers as an inspiration, and it is 8mm (5/16ths of an inch) thick at it's thickest point. The combat edge is razor-sharp (almost literally – rumors tell of Allanean Marines using these knives to shave), and sharpened throughout it's length, while on the blunt side, as proper for a Bowie, only the leading 3 inches are sharpened with the same quality.
Material: Here's where the knife differs from, and exceeds in quality, it's relatives. It is made from high-carbon ATS-34 steel, and then covered in black through the use of titanium nitrate. This makes the blade less noticeable in darkness.
Grip: The tail-end of the knife runs throughout the grip, and as such the main function of the grip is an ergonomic one – or so would you think. However, the Allanean have put a heavy metal garde between the blade and the handle proper, which makes the knife slightly heavier to use for bludgeoning if needed. The grip can be also used to affixe the knife as a bayonet to a standard Allanean assault rifle, or any rifle that is compliant with the Allanean military standard. The handle/grip itself is covered in ergonomic rubber for ease of grip, and the pommel has a plastic, virtually unbreakable compass in it – by this we mean you could hit someone over the head with this pommel, and be much more likely to crush his skull than the compass.
Scabbard: The knife comes with a simple, carbon-fiber, rigid scabbard. It has two external pockets on one side, one that carries a length (5 meters) of paracord for your needs, and the other carries an emergency supply of combat drugs – an adrenaline pill, a methampethamine pill, and a third pill, usually an Insta-Test testosterone pill.
Name: BK Mk 1
Blade Length: 254mm (10 inches)
Total Length: 378mm (15 inches)
Weight: 550 grams
Scabbard: Carbon-fiber
Price: $50
Users of this knife include: Allanea, the Crazed Marines, Warring Minorities, and others.
”Desert Seagull” Mark II Semiautomatic Handgun
In late 2006, the military of the United States of Allanea was seeking a new handgun model to replace the aging Desert Eagle Mark XIX series of semiautomatic pistols. While the old Magnum Research construct provided the Allanean military with excellent stopping power, the United States military has not been satisified with the handgun especially in terms of the low ammunition capacity it provided, and it's extremely heavy weight.
The first modification of the Seagull (so named as a designer in-joke at Allanean Arms, Incorporated) has failed the Joint Forces Procurement test, as it broke down after approximately 10,000 rounds have been fired through it. The Corporation had then tried to market it to the civilian market in Allanea, but failed miserably. As such, work began on the Desert Seagull, Mark II, Semiautomatic handgun – and here it now is before you.
The Desert Seagull is essentially an oxymoron in terms of handgun enthusiasts – it's a handgun in the .50AE caliber, but unlike the original Desert Eagle, it is designed for military use and self-defense in mind where the Desert Eagle was originally designed for hunting and long-range pistol competition shooting – something to which such high-caliber pistols are usually relegated in the opinion of common sense gun experts. This is precisely why it is called the Desert Seagull.
But of course, Allaneans don't really care about the so-called common sense of 'gun experts' – especially foreign ones. As they have already been using the Desert Eagle as a military handgun (though in practice the majority of military units deploy a variety of .45 pistols, mostly varieties of the venrable 1911) – the Allaneans were quite willing to now switch their entire military to what the Rejistanians would call an entirely alhanija'het handgun.
And so was born the Desert Seagull.
Action:
Like it's forefather, the Desert Seagull is essentially a gas-operated pistol. However, replacing the Desert Eagle's complex gas-operating system - wherein gases were diverted from the chamber and forward down a gas tube and almost down to the very tip of the barrel, where they would then be diverted into a small chamber whereby pressure would be enacted to move back the slide and reload the gun – the Desert Seagull simply enacts a system similar to that on a standard rifle, whereby gases are merely diverted from the barrel and into a pressure chamber where they would move back the slide similarly to an AK-47's gas-piston system. This modification was carried out in order to increase reliability of the gun, an object that seems to have been accomplished fairly well by Allanean Arms, Incorporated.
Frame:
The first thing that one would notice when heaving the Seagull in hand is that it's lighter then what you would expect a handgun of this type to be. And indeed, the outer frame of the pistol had not been made out of metal, but out of polymer plastic similar to that on the Glock and USP series of handguns. The rationale behind that is fairly obvious – soldiers need to carry lighter guns. However, it has to be added that this has an obvious disadvantage – it increases recoil. As one would assume, the designers at Allanean Arms, Incorporated wished to counteract that as much as possible -if only to make it easier and cheaper to train soldiers and officers in the use of the Seagull.
And indeed, they have come up with a solution. Not only have they used a gas-operated action (like the original Eagle) to reduce the recoil of the .50AE cartridge, but they have done more - ensuring that the Desert Seagull now comes stock with recoil-absorbing grips similar the famous Pachmayr recoil absorbing pistol grips from the 20th and early 21st century. Combined with the lower-recoil gas operation system, they have actually made recoil with the Seagull vaguely sustainable!
Barrel:
The barrel, 150mm long, is a special baby of Allanean Arms, Incorporated. Manufactured in the Corporation's new factories in Non-Earth Kentucky, the barrel is quite different from its older sister the Desert Eagle Barel. Not only is it fully-polygonal, but it's also computer-manufactured to ultra-low tolerances. It is suspected that it's the price of the barrel that comprises 50% of the price of the Seagull pistol.
The more interesting bit of the barrel is the end – that's the more interesting bit of any handgun barrel, but that of the DS is perhaps more interesting then those of most such handguns. While normally, it is covered by the slanted end – which is designed to imitate the Desert Eagle Mark XIX pistol, once you disassemble the gun, you will discover a most wonderful quality – the barrel is threaded, just like the barrel of a standard-issue military rifle. This is so you could... that's right, mount accessories on it!
And what are those accessories? Well, Allanean Arms had been nice for my readers, and put out a series of features for the serious Desert Seagull fan. Here they be listed:
DS-M1S – this is indeed a Desert Seagull Mark One Suppressor. As all of those devices, it reduces the audible sound and visible flash of the handgun, and is designed specifically for use with threaded barrel .50AE handguns – which is, with the only such handgun in existence, the Desert Seagull. It is interesting that it has a decorative slanted end, like the barrel tip of the original Desert Seagull. This means that once you screw your DS pistol together, it will essentially look like you somehow simply constructed a longer barrel frame.
DS-M1FS – this is a Flash Suppressor. Unlike the device above, it suppresses merely the flash of the .50 Action Express caliber, but looks visually almost the same when mounted. This may be desirable when you do not to deal with the accuracy loss that is often associated with sound suppressors. It's cheaper, too.
DS-M1RB – this does just the reverse of a flash suppressor – and looks like you've screwed on a longer barrel and made ports on it's upper side. That's because it is, essentially a set of attachable barrel ports – a recoil brake. So your muzzle flash will be transcending from really big to really huge, but at least you'll have less recoil. And with the Desert Seagull, that's a very good thing.
Trigger:
The trigger on the Desert Seagull... well, let's put it this way. The Desert Eagle Mark XIX has been designed as a single-action sporting handgun. The fine people at Allanean Arms have kept true to that heritage, and made the trigger lighter. Much lighter.
This is, in effect, what people refer to as a hair-thin trigger when they are not in Allanea. In Allanea we call this a good trigger, and then grumble and move on when foreigners call us mad. As for those who really care for the number, it's below 1 lb.. Beat that.*
Safety:
The Desert Seagull does not, unlike most military handguns, sport an external safety. An internal hammer safety exists, however, on the Seagull, to prevent it from being fired – except when the trigger is pressed. Combined with what we already know about the Desert Seagull trigger, this is a powerful argument from keeping your finger on the trigger until you make the conscious decision to fire – which, in the words of Colonel Morrison, of the Allanean Special Forces, is what you're supposed to be doing anyway.
Sights:
The Seagull arrives from the factory equipped with a pair of ordinary pistol sights. Well, they'd be ordinary, but they are sitting on a Picatinny-type rail – which means you can take them down at any time, and replace them with a sight system of your choice – for example, an optical scope. They also have tritium inserts – and that means you can use them at night.
But that is not all. The handgun is equipped by not one – but four Picatinny rails, on the bottom, top (where sights sit), and sides of the barrel. In the words of Kevin Nivensky, Allanean Arms immortal CEO, 'and you're perfectly free to mount a laser designator on any of them. Fact is, we'll provide you with one.'
As indeed they do. Allanean Arms, Incorporated is already marketing a laser designator for the Seagull, one that is pre-sighted for use with the Seagull and standard .50AE rounds. It points within 1 inch of the point of aim at 50 feet.
Magazines:
Thought had been put into these objects of art, as well. While the DS accepts typical Desert Eagle pistol magazine, those for the DS are longer, angrier bastards, designed to hold a full ten .50 Action Express rounds. Yes, they poke out of the grip a bit. On the other hand, they are polymer made, and weigh in fact 50 grams less then a Desert Eagle magazine, loaded.
Platform-Based Design:
Just like its forefather the Desert Eagle, the Seagull can be converted to a different caliber by simply replacing the barrel, bolt, and magazine with one of the requisite caliber. While they are not out on the market yet, Allanean Arms is rumored to be planning variants in .44 Mag, .41 Mag, .357, and some other calibers. Kevin Nivensky, CEO of Allanean Arms, refused to comment.
Holster:
Allanean Arms Corporation would not be its usual excellent self if it didn't supply the handgun stock with an excellent leather holster. It is not, however, your daddy's concealed carry holster – mostly because it's a military gun after all, and besides concealed carry went out of fashion decades ago in Allanea. This, ladies and gentlemen, is an excellent cross-draw shoulder holster. It's made in Nmgweni, where laborers are paid 2 Menelmacari Credits per hours, but it still is an excellent thing, and should command a great price in and of itself – as we predict it will at gun shows in a decade or so.
The holster has, of course, most excellent retention capability – even though it has no retention strips, it performs by having the gun held in by retention padding inside the holster, so it cannot be dislodged by performing strenuous activity – such as strangling a communist guerrilla with your bare hands – with your gun on. There's only one way to dislodge it, and that's actually deliberately draw the pistol.

As Allanea reduced the age of maturity to 16 during an unprecedented Congress vote during the Fourth Edolian War (some say, in order to legalize the use of the Boy Scout Corps of Allanea in war), some interestng economic results have occurred. One of them is the Teen Dream 200 automatic pistol, which foreign commentators have dubbed: “a product of fusion of Allanean obsession with firepower and teenage bad taste.”
The TD-2000 is a polymer framed semiautomatic 9-mm firearm, usually seen worn by high-school students. (Carrying a weapon on the premises of an Allanean public school is legal for any citizen above the age of maturity –which is 16, as we stated above). In an attempt to appeal to the younger generation, Allanean Arms, Incorporated, has offered the TD-2000 in a variety of colours and patterns. The most popular pattern is a ‘jeans’ coloured print, which is so realistic it can be mistaken for actual jeans cloth on casual observation.

Hali-53 Multi-Service Assault Rifle [Five-Three M-SAR]
Saga of the .221 Orchomenos
The .221 was introduced as the principle round of the Ejermacht with the release of relatively unconventional Hali-42 assault rifle. In fact, the entire package had spiraled away from prior rifle convention (the Hali-21). This rifle completely replaced the Ejermacht's rifle by 2014 and saw wide export. Ultimately, the rifle would see service in the War of Golden Succession (May 2016 - May 2018) in which several of its faults would be revealed - most of these faults were relevant to the .221 Orchomenos, not surprisingly. Almost immediately after the Treaty of Aurillac a general review of the rifle was funded by the Fuermak (armed forces). This review was tasked with pinpointing the problems of the Hali-42 and assisting the Ejermacht in providing a number of requirements for a future assault rifle. The task force operated between August 2018 and November 2019, with a white paper prepared for the government by January 2020.
Generally, all criticism of the .221 suggested that the round was by far too small for successful application as an assault rifle caliber. It was found that there were literally tens of thousands of complaints that in close quarter battles the .221 round was far too fast, and far too small, and would normally end in a through-and-through hit of the enemy soldier. Even though the round used a barbette in order to increase the damage inside the body, the barbette was not large enough to slow down the bullet, or damage the man enough to take him down in one shot. Consequently, it was found that many times it would take three to four bullets to bring down a man, ending in many more Imperial deaths - given that the enemy had more time to fire back, between the time of the first shot and the time he was taken down. Moreover, there were examples of wounded Havenic soldiers being tended to and being sent right into battle after they had been shot once or twice.
At longer ranges the .221 was found to be far more successful, as the bullet had time to slow down prior to impact. In fact, during the war there was an attempt to supply new .221 ammunition to troops destined to fight in Havenic cities during the Second Empire's advance south. It was found that logistically this was all but impossible, and not entirely feasible.
The task force also noted that the rifle within itself was far too complicated. For example, troops in the field found it hard to fix small problems and most of the time the rifle had to be exchanged for a brand new rifle, while the old rifle was sent back to the factory to be rebuilt. Ultimately this meant time and money - money that was not necessarily available. The main problem was the fact that the rifle used a binary liquid propellant with a caseless round. This meant that the liquid had to be stored in the rifle (making it less ergonomic) and pumped into the combustion chamber. Frequent problems with the pumps plagued early production versions of the rifle, and although the problem was tended to over the years the system was never liked by the personnel on the ground. Furthermore, despite the fact that the rifle fully armed was lighter due to the use of a liquid propellant, the fact remained that the storage cells in the rifle were bulky, making the rifle less ergonomic and harder to handle. In fact, it took a lot of experience and training to work around the poor physical design of the rifle.
The principle problems found in the Hali-42 soon found themselves as key points for the requirements outlined by the Ejermacht.
New requirements for a future rifle
Between January and March 2020 the Ejermacht outlined a series of requirements for various small-arms companies. These included:
- A new rifle caliber, superior in performance to the .221 Orchomenos and to existing 5.56mm assault rifle ammunitions.
- No more than 4.5kg empty.
- Solid propellant.
- Low recoil.
- Suppressed muzzle flash.
Two foreign companies and four indigenous companies offered their prototypes to the Ejermacht by February 2021. The two foreign companies were Izistan's Robertson Arms and Spizania's Confederate Armaments Incorporated. Despite the purchase of four X-4 (X denotes that the rifles were prototypes. Each of the three indigenous rifles were named X-1 through X-3, and Spizania's the X-5) rifles from Robertson Arms and fairly successful testing between March and July 2022 it was decided not to purchase the X-4 due to inferior ballistic performance of the Izistani round to the 6.64x51mm round used by the X-2 and X-3. Furthermore, the X-4 used a caseless round which after the experiences with the Hali-42 were not favored. The same remained true for Confederate Arms Incorporated's X-5, as well as the fact that it was far too unconventional for the taste of the Ejermacht - especially after the experience of using the Hali-42.
Ultimately, it was found that the best rifle with the best balance of old and new technologies was the X-2.
Birth of the Hali-5X project
In August 2021 the Ejermacht signed a contract in which it was stated that the government would fund the remainder of the development of the X-2 and would promise to purchase at least 100,000 rifles upon completion of the prototype. It was also agreed upon that the company designing the rifle (Gíert et Ber) would make substantial changes to the prototype. These included:
- Changing several materials in rifle construction to lighten its weight.
- Changing the standard cased round for a cased telescopic round to decrease weight further.
- Development of at least three separate rounds for the rifle.
- The rifle would have to be complete for production by January 2022.
The new rifle was given the name of Hali-5X and by September 2021 a new prototype had been delivered to the Ejermacht. In early October a further ten rifles were produced for testing, which continued until the end of the month. Minor modifications were made to the rifle between late October and December 2021, in preparation for production in January, unfortunately several glitches were found. The most important was the fact that the cased telescopic round designed for the rifle did not fully extend during flight, severely limiting the effectiveness of the round. Furthermore, the round was using an older solid propellant as opposed to the new solid propellant which had been offered to Gíert et Ber for modification into the ammunition. Fortunately, the contract was extended for another four months.
Modifications and testing continued and the round was finally ready for production by June 2022. Upon production the rifle was dubbed the Hali-53.
A new caliber is chosen
The Ejermacht ultimately chose the 6.64x51mm cased round as its next small-arms caliber, with the idea of equaling the power of a larger round in order to increase lethality. Ultimately, the increase in weight and the decrease in the amount of rounds in each magazine was solved with the use of cased telescoping ammunition which saved around 30% of the volume in comparison to a magazine holding conventional rounds of the same caliber. To further decrease weight each round uses a new polymer case which reduced individual round weight by over 20%.
The new case is manufactured out of two separate polymers. A 60% glass fiber filled polymer is the principle component, injected by the low-core technique. This polymer is reinforced by minor metallic inserts. A more ductile polymer is subsequently injected to fill the shoulder, mouth and neck areas of the round. This system solves several problems of existing polymer cases, including poor reliability. Furthermore, the system is not more expensive than using a brass case and saves more weight.
Ultimately, the use of both polymer casings and CTA technology allow the rifle to save a lot of weight in regards to its ammunition. Most importantly, it allows the rifle to be just as effective as other contemporaries (or more effective, even).
Three rounds were introduced along with the Hali-53. The first is the 6.64x51mm Orchomenos. This round is designed as the general use all-around bullet to be supplied in the most quantities. It is designed for penetration of the majority of existing infantry armors protecting the troops of foreign threats. The round is a tungsten-cored. copper jacketed round. The purpose of the round is speed and penetration. The round weighs ~7.8 grams and uses a 2 gram propellant. The second round is the 6.64x51mm PELE, which is designed with a high density jacket and a low density core. The idea is during impact the jacket bursts due to the low-compressibility of the core's material. The end result is a large amount of fragments bursting into the body, increasing the lethality of the weapon. This round is specifically designed for use against unarmored opponents. The third major round is the armor piercing 6.64x60mm flechette designed for penetration of thicker battle suits and power armor.
Several other rounds were also designed, including:
-6.64mm grenade
-6.64mm tracer
-6.64mm NL (non-lethal)
All combat rounds use a newly designed solid propellant to decrease weight and increase power. The best solid propellant for small arms use was found to be one composed of 25% nitrocellulose (NC), 45% cyclotrimethylenetrinitrimine (RDX) and 6% Glycidyl Azide Polymer (GAP), with other components. Originally a substance called TAGN had been included, but a low flame temperature was found not to be suitable for assault rifle application to avoid cook-offs. The main purpose was to find a highly dense solid propellant with high energy and a high rate of expansion - in other words, more velocity.
Rifle Operation
The Hali-42's operation was delayed blowback, and the original X-2 prototype by Gíert and Ber used the same system. However, in an effort to reduce recoil and improve accuracy it was decided to change the rifle operation to what is regarded as 'balanced automatics'. Balanced automatics is an extension of the short-stroke gas-operated, rotating-bolt mechanism of the AK-47. Instead of having just one gas-piston, balanced automatics uses two gas-pistons moving in opposite directions, meaning that the operator only feels the recoil created by the momentum of the forward moving bullet. The addition of this new system was a factor to the run over costs of the rifle program and to the retardation of the date for initial production. However, testing in early 2022 proved the value of 'balanced automatics'.
The Hali-5X was tested against the Hali-42 and the original Hali-5X using the same operating mechanism as the Hali-42. All three rifles were tested with a thirty-round mag of their respective calibers and were all tested on automatic fire. The Hali-42 managed to put three out of thirty rounds on target, while the original prototype of the Hali-5X put five out of thirty rounds on target. However, the new Hali-5X using balanced automatics successfully trained nineteen out of thirty bullets on target (all at 100 meters).
The ejection port of the rifle is located at the front of the weapon, and empty cases are ejected forward, allowing the rifle to be ambidextrous.
Scope
When the Ejermacht offered its requirements for a brand new assault rifle to several armaments companies, foreign and indigenous, it offered a separate list of requirements for new optic system for the rifle. The only company able to meet up to the Ejermacht's expectations proved to be Eldíen Electro-Optical Works. Eldíen had existed under the Kriegzimmer Conglomerate and then had become an independent company post-break up. It had worked on much of the electro-optics used on Kriegzimmer battleships and super dreadnoughts. A series of six different optics were offered, the differences dependent on cost. These competed against a total of thirty-nine other optics systems, including sixteen which were designed by foreign companies.
Eldíen's optics, which were ultimately chosen for contract, included a 1X red dot mode for close quarter combat (CQB), with the option to switch to up to 4X magnification using a cased reticule with adjustable brightness. The sight also included bullet drop compensation for ranges beyond 700 meters. The sights can be used with both eyes open, and is completely shock proof. Furthermore, even if part of the lens is covered with mud, or is shattered, the shooter can still accurately use the system if he/she can see through any surviving piece of the lens. The rifle operator can see this because a laser diode projects the target as a hologram image onto a hardened, three layer laminated glass window. This optical sights measures ~156mm in length and weighs ~390 grams.
For greater tactical flexibility an off-axis viewing device (OAVD) is also standard with the rifle. The system works by using two oval-shaped mirros to reflect the image from the rifle's optical sight to the soldier. This allows the soldier to literally look around corners. OAVDs within the Ejermacht are normally issued only during urban operations to provide soldiers with greater protection. Each OAVD extension measures 150mm and weighs 500 grams and can be clipped to the existing sight.
After the fall of the Kriegzimmer Corporation (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=409787), the design was purchased by Allanean Arms.
Rifle Construction
The rifle is relatively light due to the increased usage of plastics as construction material. The barrel, however, remains of steel construction, although the bolt and bolt carrier are manufactured out of titanium. The receiver is built out of composite polymer. The ultimate aim was to construct a rifle with the least weight possible for greater ergonomics.

GH-31 12.7mm High Power Sniper Rifle
Type: Heavy Calibre Sniper Rifle
Builder: Allanean Arms
Abstract: The GH-31 sniper rifle was developed specifically for the Macabee special forces, made practical after the success of prototype rifles in the Operation Highborne, the opening attacks on Jagadan personnel in the Macabee-Jagadan colonial war. The rifle, being too expensive for standard infantry divisions up to now, may be widely used throughout the Golden Throne's military, despite its weight, simply because rifles need the extra punch to go through new battlesuits employed by certain nations, and even to get that extra range and lethality. Nonetheless, the GH-13 will remain the standard sniper rifle for standard armed personnel forces, including the mechanized divisions. The GH-31 employs several new and advance technologies which put it one step ahead of other sniper rifles in the same class. All in all, the GH-31 is a promising gun that will surely make it into the annals of gun history.
Operation: Short recoil, semi-automatic and manual.

Section XI: Standard Allanean Military Artillery Rounds
Originally Designed by the Maccabees Player
TIR.11.155 HE Round
Description: The TIR.11.155 High Explosive shell is merely an empty casting full of Octagen using a small brazen fuse, although there have been claims that the Ejermacht has issued the same round without the fuze, dispersing it randomly within stockpiles of the round; the idea is to defeat shortstop equipped ordnance. The round itself is rocket assisted, and out of the muzzle of the Corbulo has an extremely amazing range.
Range: 80kms [standard]; 30kms [howitzer]; 100kms [Corbulo]
Velocity: Mach 4-6
Warhead: High Explosive
Guidance: Inertial and GPS
Replacement Cost: 7,000 USD
Production Rights Cost: 25 Million USD
TIR.76.155 ER DPICM Round
Description: The TIR.76 Extended Range Dual Purpose Improved Conventional Munition is the long range dispenser artillery round of the Ejermacht, able to carry up to seventy-two small anti-armor/personnel grenade submunitions. The round is capable of successfully engaging unarmored vehicles, soft skinned vehicles and personnel, at extremely long ranges, which amount to some forty kilometers for a howitzer and around eighty kilometers to one hundred kilometers for the advance field artillery system Corbulo. The round is designed with GPS and inertial guidance, and's burst radius has been reduced to ten meters. The round has also been improved upon the XM982 design, incorporated rocket assistance. The anti-armour bomblets can effectively penetrate up to 130mm worth of armour.
Range: 40kms [Howitzer]; 90kms [Field Gun]; 120kms [Field Gun ETC/EM assisted]
Velocity: Mach 4 to Mach 7
Warhead: 72 Anti-Armor or Anti-Personnel Grenade Submunitions
Fire Capabilities: Non Line of Site; Fire and Forget
Guidance: GPS, Inertial, Millimeter Wave
Replacement Cost: 12,000 USD
Production Rights: 40 Million USD
TIR.21.155 SADARM Round
Description: This Sense and Destroy Armor Munition is an extended program to the M898 munition of the US Army. The round carries a host of anti-armor submunitions that release themselves on top of enemy light armoured vehicles, penetrating the top armour. How it works is that the round uses a parachute like device to slowly fall over the target and at a certain height, dictated by a range of sensors, the round divides into two submunition penetrators that use their own sensors to search and destroy for enemy vehicles. When the target is located the submunition fires an explosively formed penetrator [EFP] at it. Under the best circumstances the TIR.21.155 SADARM has been able to destroy two vehicles with one round.
Range: 35kms [howitzer]; 50kms [artillery]; 80kms [EM or ETC artillery]
Velocity: Mach 4-7; terminal varies
Warhead: Anti-armour submunitions
Guidance: Inertial, GPS and Millimeter Wave
Replacement Cost: 12,000 USD
Production Rights Cost: 40 Million USD
TIR.33.155 TCR Round
Description: This Trajectory Correctable Munition is designed to be a cross between the SADARM and the DPICM munitions, although the guidance is a bit different, although more accurate. The round is designed to be modular, allowing any country to drop either the DPICM or SADARM rounds and just use this one, producing them to fit either role - but the casting itself would be the same, making the round consequently much cheaper to design, especially if a country designs both. At some point it is hoped that the Ejermacht will just begin to order variants of the TIR.33.155 instead of using both the TIR.21.155 and the TIR.76.155. The round is also wooden requiring absolutely no user maintenance, making them cheaper in that respect as well, with a storage life of twenty years.
Range: 37kms [howitzer]; 60 kms [artillery]; 100 kms [ETC/EM artillery]
Velocity: Mach 2-7 depending on variant
Warhead: HE, SADARM, DPICM
Guidance: GPS, INS, Millimeter Wave, Projectile Tracking System, Terminal Homing, Counter Radar and UAV directed [optional].
Replacement Cost: 9,000 USD
Production Rights Cost: 50 Million USD
TIR.217.155 HD Round
Description: The TIR.217.155 HD shel, just like the TIR.11.155 HE round,l is merely an empty casting full of HD blister gas using a small brazen fuse, although there have been claims that the Ejermacht has issued the same round without the fuze, dispersing it randomly within stockpiles of the round; the idea is to defeat shortstop equipped ordnance. The round itself is rocket assisted, and out of the muzzle of the Corbulo has an extremely amazing range.
Range: 80kms [standard]; 30kms [howitzer]; 100kms [Corbulo]
Velocity: Mach 4-6
Warhead: Blister Gas
Guidance: INS, GPS
Replacement Cost: 7,500 USD
Production Rights Cost: 20 Million USD
TIR.17.155 RAAM Round
Description: The TIR.17 Remote Anti-Armor Munition is designed to be able to carry anti-armor mine munitions far distances, allowing to set up remote mine fields within minutes, especially in the face of an enemy advance. The round, if produced by Kriegzimmer, carries a single type of mine, set off through sensors which detail pressure and proximity, being quite accurate, and rather hard to see and deactivate in time. They are not designed to destroy tanks but rather blow off parts of the tracks, allowing further artillery and other strikes to deal with the now stopped armour. The rounds first battle testing grounds were at Ruska against Havenite [SafeHaven2] armour, and proved to be quite successful. The mine has a 48 hour lifespan.
Range: 30 to 70 kilometers
Velocity: Mach 2 to Mach 5
Warhead: Submunitions; 60 anti-tank mines
Guidance: Inertial and GPS
Replacement Cost: 8,000 USD
Production Rights Cost: 30 Million USD
TIR.81.155 ADAM Round
Description: The TIR.81 Area Denial Anti-personnel Mine works just like the TIR.17 RAAM mine, and is in fact the same casting as the TIR.17, using modular parts, only the submunitions are exchanged with anti-personnel mines. The TIR.81 is most of the time used hand in hand with the TIR.17s, providing anti-personnel and anti-tank mine fields against fast advancing armies, and has the distinct possibilities of slowing advances down. The mine has a life span, just like the mine of its TIR.17 counterpart, of 48 hours.
Range: 30 to 80 kilometers
Velocity: Mach 2 to 5
Warhead: Submuntions; 80 anti-personnel mines
Guidance: Inertial and GPS
Replacement Cost: 8,000 USD

Description: The TIR.31 is a nuclear tipped Artillery-Fired Atomic Projectile, with rocket assist, offering it an excellent range. It's a mini tactical nuclear weapon, designed to destroy large amounts of enemy personnel and vehicles within single strikes. The shell has never been used by the Empire's forces, although it is always stockpiled as a possibility. In fact, official numbers on stockpiles don't exist, but it's been estimated that the Empire holds around two hundred to three hundreds of these types of rounds on reserve and that they are rushed over to areas of high priority in case the war becomes a nuclear war. The nuclear warhead also use the effect of extended radiation [ER] to increase the killing power of the shell.

Panzerfaust X-9/Tagus Anti-Tank Missile
The Tagus Anti-Tank Missile, also known as the Panzerfaust X-9 to Riptide Monzarc, was a joint creation for the purpose of the defense of infantry columns in wartime exercises. Although the Golden Empire already fielded the multi-purpose Ebro anti-tank missile it was decided that it was much too flawed for continued use, consequently the Tagus was researched and developed. The Tagus is equipped with an imaging infrared system (I2R), and is a fire and forget missile. It’s also designed with a “soft launch” for use within buildings, and it protects the crew from the enemy’s line of sight. The Tagus is a top attack missile, where armor normally has its major weak point.
The central part of the Tagus is its Command Launch Unit (CLU) with a trigger mechanism, and a day/night surveillance mechanism, as well as target acquisition programming. The Tagus, during nighttime operation, has night vision sight (NVS) giving it a range of some 2.5 kilometers. However, for daytime operations it is equipped with new generation sighting technology.
The new sights are built around a single Cassagrian telescope type device, with internal charge coupled devices (CCD), which allow advance recollection of photons and photonic waves. The light collected by the Cassagrian telescope cannot be seen with the unaided human eye, consequently, the image is seen through a video camera, although using fiber optic cables, the imagines is basically instantaneous. This is the same basic system as used in ultra-modern photonic masts, except that the tube and the prisms are much smaller, and this uses a CCD, while the photonic mast does not. The range given by this new sighting, dubbed, Most Advanced Sighting Capabilities (MADSIC), is just about twelve kilometers.
The missile, the Tagus, is based on a disposable launch tube assembly, battery coolant units (BCU), and the missile itself. The missile’s range has been given five kilometers, although preferred range is just about two kilometers. The system, without the missile, weighs just about eight kilograms. The warhead’s weight is 12kg; however it enjoys a much larger fuel deposit than the standard Javelin and Milan. However, this latter point extends the missile’s total weight, when fully fueled, to about twenty-three kg, giving the entire system a weight of thirty-one kilograms.
The warhead uses a high explosive anti-tank (HEAT) form, with a tandem shape, giving it a penetration of 700mm + of standard armor. It’s effectiveness against explosive reactive armors and ceramic composite armors are not known, although it is expected to be about the same, since the missile was tested on an old Soviet T-72 export tank.
For accuracy the missile uses a computerized graphic positioning system (CGPS), which basically maps the enemy-tank (based on information using the MADSIC) on a liquid crystal matrix (AMLCD) screen. From there, the missile can use its own personalized acquisition and targeting system (ATS), which is a union of light detection and ranging (LIDAR) and infra-red detection systems (IRDS). This communion of three technologies makes the Tagus extremely accurate, and extremely deadly.

The Wolverine was designed as a light tank and was expected to be used for infantry support roles. Unfortunately, the tank found itself as the core of three Waffen-SS mechanized divisions sent to the Weigari provincial border iin case of the much expected rebellion. Consequently, the R.17 Wolverine found itself in the center of Weigari Operation VALKYRIE on May 14. The Weigari objective was to destroy these three divisions with a massive suprise offensive and then quickly follow up with a forced march to Fedala, where they would overthrow Fedor I and put his father on the throne - Wilhelm of Catalán. The result was a mismatch between older civil war equipment and newer, but lighter, Imperial equipment. Old Soviet armor and SD.60Es were able to gain the upper edge and incinirate armored counterattacks spearheaded by the Wolverines. Once on the defensive the Wolverine was no better. A Killian counterattack with the more modern Broadswords on 15 May was in vain, although the revolving battle managed to wipe out almost a third of the Weigari armor - despite equally as heavy losses in the Killian ranks. The largest loss on the Killian side was that of their commander, putting the Killian force in the area under the command of a lieutenant!
Of the three divisions on hand, the 3rd Waffen-SS Panzergrenadier Division struck to the north in a violent counterattack, and the southern divisions continued to put up a heated resistance. The counterattack stalled with heavy casualties and by the end of the day the 3rd was effectively out of action for the rest of the battle - it had expended the majority of its energy in this fruitless action. On the 17th and 18th the rebel army began operations to crack the 3rd Waffen-SS Division and therefore encircle the rest, but was forces to halt after a Killian counterattack threatened their southern flank. The Killian counterattack, under the command of the inexperienced Captain Jack Ryan continued until the 21st when Lt. Jimmy Wilson ordered the counterattack to end after witnessing mounting casualties and almost no ground gained. The time gained allowed two of the three Waffen-SS divisions to escape back across the river, although they were disbanded by the end of the next month [along with the rest of the Waffen-SS], although by the 22nd the weakened 3rd had been cut off and sorrounded. By the 26th the 3rd surrendered. Mons Dei had been the Empire's worst defeat to date.
No less than one hundred and fifty Wolverine light tanks were lost in the battle, which accounts for well over three-fourths of their raw power. The Killians lost over three hundred Broadswords, which brought about another reason for the Tizona upgrade. The Weigari Liberation Army, however, lost one thousand two hundred T-72s, T-80s, T-90s and SD.60Es. However, the majority of these were lost in the battles against Hailandkill, not the Wolverines. All four rebel types proved superior to the Wolverines, despite valiant defensive tactics and suicidal bravery.
The Need for Armor and Experimentation
Following the loss at Mons Dei the Wolverine dissapeared from the field. In the Weigari Theater it was replaced by the new Cougar main battle tank, which was in reality a lighter heavy tank, even if the Empire could not deploy the Cougar in sufficient numbers to mirror those of the Wolverine. Nevertheless, the Cougars were able to stop and then reverse the rebel drive towards Fedala at the battle of the River Nestor, in late June and early July. Similarly, the Cougars took part in the battle of Mosnoi Bor and in the opening of Hell's Gate in the north. However, the Cougar was found to be too heavy to be truly competitve as a main battle tank. It could not react in time, it did not have a good rate of fire, et cetera, and so the Cougar's production was reduced in favour of the older Broadswords. Nevertheless, a widespread improvement program began in late June to find quick upgrades for the Broadsword, the Wolverine, the Cougar and various imported and captured models, such as the KAF-90, SD.60E and 60F, and the UT-1. The upgrade models for the Wolverine and the Broadsword were finished by late August and began to install these upgrades by September.
Given the nature of the Wolverine and the fact that it probably end production for domestic use it was decided to use it as an experiment vehicle, and attempt to export it for foreign use. This required the chassis to be redesigned with all new armor, and for it to have an all new, heavy turret. The point was to design a main battle tank with the firepower of the Cougar, and the manueverability and velocity of the newer Nakíl main battle tank. The result was the addition of massive thicknesses of advance armor on the much smaller chassis, and now extremely small turret, and the installation as the same, more or less, gun of the Cougar 1A1. It turned out to be almost impenetrable on all sides. For example, the glacis only had a bit less than a meter worth of actual thickness - which protected the three-person crew buried in the hull.
By the end of September and the beginning of October all 7,000 Wolverines would be upgraded to the R.17U version - the Wolverine-Colada upgrade. All 7,000 of these upgrades would be deployed south by the time Operation AUTUMN STORM begun [the battle of Ishme-Dagan]. These would serve along side of no less than 16,000 tanks of five different Juumanistran models, 2,500 Broadsword-Tizona Upgrades, 15,000 Broadswords, 8,000 Cougars, 2,400 UT-1s, 600 SD.60Es/Fs, 180 M88 Badgers, 2,000 Nakíl 1A1s and 300 KAF-90s. In other words, there would be a total of 53,980 main battle tanks operating along the Ishme-Dagan axis in October! Over 100,000 tanks would operate in the battle making it, by far, the largest armored battle in history. The destruction of armor surpasses total armor losses during the entirety of the Second World War. This is not to speak for the hundreds of thousands of other armored fighting vehicles operating in the Havenic salient into Ruska.
Firepower
The R.17U uses the same gun as the Cougar, except excluding the electromagnetic coils. Originally the R.17U was going to follow the more recent examples of Imperial armor and mount the 105mm Octavia liquid propellant gun, or the 120mm/140mm dual-calibre gun of the Nakíl. However, it was decided to experiment the use of the 140mm gun on a smaller and lighter turret. The turret is unmanned, with the entire crew burined in the foward areas of the hull. The rear area of the turret is entirely occupied by thirty-six 140mm rounds and the robotic autoloading system [RALS], as well as the expanding breech of the 140mm gun. Despite the fact that this gun is not electromagnetic the Wolverine does use the same solid propellant, although future variants are planned to replace this older solid propellant with the better propellants used by the Nakíl 1A1 or its successors. This change is not expected to take long, especially as the Wolverine has a second upgrade planned by the end of spring 2017.
The original Cougar gun gave a muzzle energy of anywhere between 36 megajoules or 40 megajoules. The Wolverine's new gun fires a round with a total energy of 28 megajoules. It achieves this through the use of electrothermal-chemical techniques to allow easier and more suave expansion of the propellant. The plasma cartridge in the Cougar's gun was the major reason this gun was chosen over either the Octavia or that of the Nakíl - it was to further the testing of electrothermal-chemical technology, beyond the Cougar. With the given muzzle energy the total penetrate should weigh ~16.6kg, achieving a velocity of 1,900m/sec. The penetration of said round should far surpass that of enemy armor during the War of Golden Sucession, and various rounds used by foreign nations that are not involved in the war.
This particular gun, however, does mount a shroud with added mass to attenuate the amount of vibration produced by its length, while moving. Accordingly, the length of the gun is the same - L/40. This means that the gun is ~5.6 meters long. This gun can fire anti-tank guided missiles and a variety of rounds that carry multiple submunitions. The fact that the turret is empty also means that the gun can be further supported inside the turret, meaning that the length can be increased without affecting the integrity of the gun or the FCS, however, for ligistical purposes this isn't done. It's possible that in future versions of the tank the gun will be increased as the Cougar might have its 140mm gun replaced with the 105mm Octavia, meaning there's no reason to continue to produce the same 140mm L/40 gun.
On two independent 'turrets' are mounted two 5.56mm guns, equivalent to that mounted as a co-axial on the Nakíl 1A1. These 'turrets' are simply independently moving blocks inside the Wolverine's new turret, much like those mounted on the Vickers Six-Ton or the T-26A. Both guns are remotely controled; both by the tank commander. There are no other secondary weapons on the Wolverine R.17U.
Protection
The greatest experiment is the sheer amount of armor included on the R.17U. Given the smaller surface area of the chassis, as compared to that of a main battle tank, and the now smaller surface area of the turret, the armor is made to be relatively thick. For example, the glacis plate has a thickness of 970mm, or just under one meter! The entire frontal arc more or less follows this pattern, and it slowly diffuses as it reaches the rear. To conserve weight all possible steel was replaced with titanium, and the integrated armor consists of three spaced layers of titanium, fitted with rubber in between as spacing material. The back plate, of course, is much thicker than both front plates, and both layers of rubber are equal in length to each other. This armor is homogenous throughout the entire vehicle, although always at different thicknesses. However, the frontal areas of the turret are fitted with appliqué armor boxes of titanium diboride encased by titanium. These appliqué panels are also fitted to the rear and side of the turret, although they are not fitted to the chassis.
The chassis appliqué consists of light non-explosive reactive armor boxes to protect against rocket propelled grenade threats, and high explosive anti-tank rounds that are tank gun launched. The roof is covered by light explosive reactive armor to diminish the penetration of top-attack munitions such as explosively formed projectiles.
It should be noted that even the rear and sides are close to one meter in rolled homogenous armor equivalent thickness! The purpose of the Wolverine upgrade was to slap as much armor as possible on it and see how it would preform against Havenic and other enemy armor.
Mobility
The Wolverine uses the same 1500hp engine as the Broadsword-Tizona, which gives it a descent power to weight ratio [see statblock, above]. Nevertheless, given that it weighs as much as a main battle tank in the range of 64 tonnes and that it's tracks have much less surface area as compared to that of a main battle tank of similar weight, the R.17U has very poor preformance in soft soil, like Zarbia. Consequently, it's design is primarilly focused on use in hard soil and on flatlands, or rolling flatlands. In other words, it is designed to fight in Ruska and Northern Safehaven, not in the Zarbian jungles. This limits its ability to deploy to any threat, and subseqently reduces the value of the design to military strategist, which owns something to the rumour that another upgrade will reduce weight and armored thickness.
In a not-so-radical turn of evens the Wolverine does not use an active hydropneumatic suspension system, like its brethren the Nakíl and the Broadsword-Tizona. Instead, it uses a torsion-bar suspension system. This is because all 7,000 Wolverines were planned for upgrade and the expense of changing all the armor in that velocity forced designers to cut corners elsewhere, such as the suspension system. Although one would think this would ease the logistics situation this is completely untrue given the fact that large stocks of hydropneumatic canisters are already available to supply the other tanks. Nevertheless,c'est le guerre.
Originally by Atmos, Allanean Arms is proud to present the newest upgrade to an older tank, the Broadsword R.95. This upgrade brings the Broadsword to most current technology, able to compete with any tank currently on the foreign market, for a much lower price! We suggest the Broadsword-Tizonia for any nation that has any sort of budget restraints, or wants absolutely huge armies of armor to roam their lands!

Sudden Obsolesence
After the battle of Mosnoi Bor the Empire found itself suddenly out of armour, given the intensive combat between late May and the middle of August. It especially found itself short of armour that could match and surpass the quality of foreign designs. The tank that was at first envisioned to become one of the best in the war proved to be a complete debacle, and its interim successor, the Nakíl, had not been produced in large enough numbers, with only around 700 planned for construction by October, which was the scheduled beginning of operations around the city of Ishme-Dagan. Nonetheless, the Empire found its hands full with divisions of older Broadsword main battle tanks, and thus found it opportune to embark on a limited improvement program on the tank which would span all of September until the Nakíl was built in sufficient numbers to totally replace all front line armoured units. To satisfy the request of the Ejermact six companies, two of them foreign, introduced their own upgrade program. Ultimately the Tizonia program, designed and introduced by Atmos, was chosen by the Ejermacht, and Atmos promised the upgrade of up to one thousand full tanks by the beginnings of September, and some 2000 other partial completions. In fact, the Broadsword-Tizonia would become the most numerous tank on the battlefield by the end of December, and even continued production much after the Nakíl had made its debut [October 2016], and it would become the inspiration of several simultanuous upgrade programs, such as the Wolverine-Colada, and the KAF-90GU. The Cougar 1A2, officially introduced in February 2017, also based itself on the new ideas of the Tizona upgrade program, and it would ultimately have its influences on even the vaunted Nakíl 1A3 which showed its face in April of 2018.
The Tizona program is designed to fix several of the problems on the Broadsword, including the rediculous amount of extraneous and almost useless electronic applications that made their debut with the tank in the early 90s. Most importantly the Tizona reintroduces the narrow gun mantle turret, and gives a predecessor for all future armour programs of the Empire. Nonetheless, it does not cut on firepower, mobility and space, although ultimately it also cuts on mass by literally cutting corners. Furthermore, it decreases gun calibre, something of which is not normally done in today's world of armament design, and it decreases the amount of armour manifested throughout the perimeter of the tank. Ultimately, the shedding of superfluous electronics and the loss of pounds expressed through steel save massive amounts of Reichmarks and offered a powerful tank for an all new weight class - around fifty-one metric tons. Nevertheless, it is still comercialised as one of the best tanks in the modern market and offers serious competition against the armour of belligerent nations, include Safehaven2, New Empire and Stevid. In the end the Tizona turret would also find its way on the 2,400 UT-1 main battle tanks imported between July and October to provide commonality and decreas the amount of gun calibres on main battle tanks to simply two - the 105mm and the 120mm. The Colada upgrade package on the Wolverine Light Tank, which upgraded it to the status of a lightweight main battle tank, was, in fact, almost entirely based on the Tizona, except designed to occupy a smaller turret ring, given the smaller dimensions of the tank.
The name Tizona is based on El Canto del Mío Cid, a Spanish medieval epic written in the 11th century and based on one of the most famous Spanish generals of La Reconquista, the Tizona being one of two of his swords, now present in the Spanish Museum of the Army. It illustrates the purpose of the upgrade program - to complete a saga of powerful, but yet completely reliable main battle tanks, and offers somewhat of a comparing link between the reconquest of Ruska and the War of Golden Succession and La Reconquista. The name actually has a more interesting history behind it itself, starting with the fact that the Fuermak had originally only authorised names for future main battle tank programs that were the names of older generals to inspire patriotism. Furthermore, Spanish was one of the largest languages existant in Zarbia and SafeHaven2, the two principle belligerent neighbors of the Golden Throne. Ultimately Tizona was admitted but the naming dispute cost almost as much as the design of the upgrade program took! Necessity overtook idiocy in the end, but not after a few days lost, affecting the upgrade of over five hundred other tanks that could have been fully completed.
Turret
The turret's mantlet is formed by a trapezoid which ends in the mid-section of the turret itself, which then leads to a turret bustle in the rear. The trapezoid is flanked to the rear of the shape by two smaller trapezoids at either side to allow flat panels for the co-axial machinegun and a laser rangefinder. The turret mantlet is wide enough to allow for a thermal cover for the breech, and tall enough to give up to twenty-nine degrees of depreciation, and as low as seven degrees. The idea of reducing the size of the turret mantlet is to decrease the surface area of target to enemy rounds, knowing that statistically most rounds engage any given tank in the mantlet, weakened zones or upper glacis. In fact, the idea is entirely based on an upgrade program designed for the Panther medium battle tank that never made its debut, due to the end of the war in May and the capture of the plant in April. The Soviet Union also came to the same conclusion in a post-war analysis, but instead of reducing the size of the mantlet they attempted to increase the size of the armoured plate by overlapping the same rolled steel piece, which led to cracking and frequent maintenance - in the end, the design version of the T-54 featured a newer turret with a smaller mantlet, only enlarged with the introduction of BDD Brow appliqué armour. With the same spirit the Broadsword-Tizona turret achieves the same results. Originally the mantlet also offered a new barbette, but it was found too complex to mass produce fast enough and so the electronics were added on one the flanking 'wings' of the mantlet, near the turret corners. This trapezoid also features an upward sloping belly to reduce weight, despite the obvious shell trap - this risk was thought to be small due to the small size of the target, at any rate.
The mantlet armour is composed of a structural ceramic composition based on the Nakíl's Cermic Armech Modulíen. This version of the same composition is simply considered Cermic Armech, given that it is not modular. However, it is virtually the same thing; the three different ceramics, titanium di-boride, alumina zirconia and sintered silicon carbide are all tightly confined within walls of thick improved rolled homogenous armour. The greatest difference is that it exists in a much thinner package, and being unmodular it's also much cheaper and lighter. Totally upgrade Broadswords also boast appliqué steel plates along the open sides of the gun mantlet, although not all Tizona upgrades can be seen with the appliqué given the limited time available to upgrade before Ishme-Dagan. Nevertheless, by December all Broadswords are virtually the same. The two flanking trapezoidal wings were non-existant at the beginning of the upgrade program but were added to increase armour in these areas and to offer two flat panels for sensors and the co-axial, which didn't fit in the mantlet. The expansion is provided by bolt-on perforated titanium packages with no frontal sloping, serving only as what they are designed to do - add space for the sensors. Nevertheless, the rear is sloped negatively to allow sloping of the actual turret armour, therefore creating a sense of atmospheres. In other words, even though the penetrator does not begin to penetrate a sloping armour it, in the end, will once it hits the structural armour behind the titanium boxes, which are sloped. It therefore creates an external aura of the Leopard 2A4, but with the sloping of any other modern main battle tank.
The turret then widens in the center and finally gives way to a mid-sized barbette which holds the majority of the ammunition for the 105mm gun. The barbette also has a negative incline showing a yet larger shell trap to the rear, but again is used to save weight. The shell trap is covered by strings of ball and chains which are appliqué steel chains, literally composed of balls and chains, designed to prematurely detonate incoming rocket propelled grenades or anyother sort of hand held anti-tank weapon with a high explosive anti-tank warhead, or chemical energy warhead in general. For the doubters, the design has been proven to work in Lebanon during the 1980s and 90s, introduced with the Merkava Mk. II. The barbette itself is large enough to hold 55 105mm rounds, although another 25 rounds are stored within the turret ring, available only to the autoloader and cased in armoured boxes to reduce the threat of explosions which could literally pick up the turret. This makes the Broadsword-Tizona one of the most heavily armed main battle tanks of the current age, despite the smaller gun calibre suddenly introduced. The turret ring also stores four Pilum anti-tank missiles, based on the larger Pilum used by the Nakíl but shrunk to be fired from the 105mm gun based on the new Broadsword. The turret roof is pocketed by the same light explosive reactive armour that is used on the Nakíl, although the rest of the turret does not offer any sort of protection from explosive reactive armour. Furthermore, this armour is often times not included due to the nature of the tank commander's hatch and the fact that he often times rides unbuttoned, under control of the heavy machinegun, despite the fact it can be remote controlled and the machinegun is also often times left out due to the nature of the mission. The rest of the turret uses the same armour as the mantlet.
Armour Protection
Despite the inclusion of titanium in the turret's armour as some sort of appliqué display the chassis' armour is relatively cheap and simple, being neither made up of expensive materials nor being composite. Furthermore, it's uniform throughout the entire chassis and although at different thicknesses throughout the perimeter always non-modular and structural. It's simply composed of three layers of steel and two layers of rubber as spacing. Throughout the tank the ratio of thickness is the same, being specifically 2:1:6. These numbers pertain to the two thin layers of steel [2], the layers of rubber [1] and the back plate of steel [6]. For example, the upper glacis has a thickness of 360mm. The two thin plates are 60mm a piece, with 30mm sections of rubbers spacing between the two thin plates and the rear thin plate and the thick back plate. The back plate is 180mm thick. All three pieces of steel are perforated to enhance the preformance of the steel by forcing the penetrator to meet areas of no resistance and thus inducing yaw and forcing parts of the penetrator, especially the tip, to tear off, thus reducing the ability to penetrate. The two front plates work a role to decrease the preformance of the penetrator or HEAT warhead before it reaches the backplate which should do most of the work. Furthermore, this armour was chosen due to the fact that it is reusable with guarantee, as opposed to other armours, although newer ceramic and composite armours are also reusable - and thus, the excuse of the cost of the tank. The glacis, sloped at up to 76 degrees provides a rolled homogenous armour equivalent [ratio] of 3.4, giving the tank somewhat over 1000mm of equivalent protection, which is rather high for its weight classification and purpose.
Because the Tizona upgrade prepared the Broadsword for anti-tank warfare, as opposed to general purpose combat, the majority of the armour's weight is shifted to the frontal arc, leaving the rear thin. Nevertheless, subsequent upgrade programs will probably introduce newer appliqué armours that can be added to the Broadsword depending on the situation during this war and any future wars that may come across the path of the Empire. One of the appliqué armours withheld was a heavy explosive reactive armour which may be introduced by 2017, and a new type of brow armour to apply between the mantlet and the upper glacis - in other words, a cross between gill armour and BDD brow armour, but with newer materials and armour application. Nonetheless, these should all be regarded as future expansion programs. One of the goals of the Tizona upgrade was to reduce cost of the Broadsword, not increase it for reasons of mass production and the ability to produce and purchase much more than all enemies combined. In fact, one of the post Ishme-Dagan objectives was to establish the largest armoured force in the region, and possibly the world, but specifically all allies and belligerents of the Empire. Ishme-Dagan, and even events such as Mosnoi Bor, certainly pin pointed prestige on the Empire's armoured corp and Fedala decides to upkeep that tradition. There are rumours that the upgraded Broadswords will continue to serve even beyond tanks such as the Nakíl 1A3, or at least alongside of them.
Armament and Ammunition
The main gun is a 105mm high velocity cannon designed with similar technological applications as the 120mm gun on the Nakíl. The propellant is provided by the same hydroxyl ammonium nitrate [HAN] liquid propellant, and is provided into the combustion chamber by four moving injection pistons that are protected against the limited growth during the initial ignition of the propellant. Ultimately, this helps to reduce the space necessary to store the ammunition since the rounds are no longer two or three piece [the Challenger II uses three piece ammunition], but instead a single piece, reducing the amount of time it takes the loader to prepare the next round. In fact, the Broadsword matches the Nakíl in the time it takes to load, even though the Nakíl has one of the fastest ways of loading its two piece ammunition. Without moving, and with a snapshot round in the block, it can fire six rounds in twenty-three seconds. The Broadsword is also one of the few tanks without an autoloader [a/l] in the Ejermacht's inventory. Muzzle energy of the penetrator is rated at 26 megajoules, which means that the depleted uranium [dU] penetrator weighs 13.29 kilograms, while moving at around 1,900m/sec. Penetration achieves far surpasses one thousand millimeters of enemy armour, on average. The new gun, called 'Octavia', does not use a standard barrel, but instead is built in sections and unified by stabalisers ever meter. The rear tube is covered by a thermal insulator, called a quasi-barbette, and the breech is hidden by the mantlet and the center of the turret. The 105mm gun boasts 65 calibre lengths, making it one of the longest 105mm guns on the market and giving it the possibility to surpass the muzzle energy of equal technology 120mm guns, given that it's just as long but has a smaller diameter, thus allowing the same amount of propellant to put more pressure behind the round, regardless of the fact that it's the same velocity.
The co-axial is a mechnically fed 5.56mm machinegun, which ends inside the turret with a special type of rear feed mechanism which is provided to by a constant magazine of rounds. It has the capability of firing up to four thousand rounds per minute, although this exaggerated velocity is rarely reached in reality. The co-axial gun is sometimes matched by a 12.7mm heavy machinegun situated behind the slide hatch of the tank commander, who lacks a cupola in order to reduce the profile of the vehicle. The 12.7mm gun is designed to be fitted when there is threat of low flying close air support aircraft, or more importantly, helicopters. For the most part the gun is not included for the same purpose the cupola is not included. The co-axial can count on four thousand ready rounds, while the 12.7mm gun can be fed by two indentical internal bins of seven hundred rounds each. On the gun mantlet, to the rear, where it widens to create the 'base' of the trapezoid there is also a 60mm internal mortar which replaces a historic grenade launcher, evident on previous designs and on the Nakíl. The mortar has thirty ready to go rounds, with more stored in armoured cases in the chassis. The mortar has an average range of four thousand meters, with more or less depending on the round. It's main usage is for illumination, or anti-infantry support in the dead zone of the tank's maingun.
As said in the turret section the main gun can count on 55 rounds stored in individually armoured cases on the left side of the turret bustle. Another 15 are available in the hull, within the confines of the turret ring, while a final 20 are available to the loader once he retracts himself into the front portion of the hull, near the driver. Ammunition is an extremely important charactiristic of the design given that the tank is designed to fight in a target rich enviroment. For example, rough numbers at Ishme-Dagan, even before the battle, illustrated that there would be at the very least over one hundred thousand tanks operating in such a tight battlefield. With this piece of information, obviously the tank is also meant to survive, while the majority of armour designed to operate in such unfriendly enviroments are meant to maximise potential during a short period of time, believing that they will be knocked out in that same short period of time. Understandably, the Empire couldn't afford such heavy losses in the battle, especially given the massive import and expansion programs between May 2016 and October of that same year. Therefore, the Broadsword-Tizona is extremely round heavy.
Electronics
The Tizona upgrade introduces a simple foward looking infra-red range finger [FLIR], conformal to the armour, allowing the only public display to be the transceiver that juts about a millimeter out of the armour appliqué boxes on the wings of the turret. Using similar technologies that can be found on the 4th Generation FLIR on the Nakíl Ausf. A [1A1] the Tizona can target and classify at up to eleven kilometers, giving it the potential to engage before the enemy tank has even seen it! Coupled with a stronger gun this makes the new Broadsword-Tizona a very dangerous opponent; it's age, almost twenty-three, apparently irrelevent. The power to strike first has always been something sought in any tank design, and the newest in the Empire's collection of laser rangefinders gives her tanks the advantage on any battlefield. In fact, the Nakíl's killing power perhaps has more to do with the fact that it can successfully knock out an opponent at over eight thousand meters because of its rangefinder, as opposed to its highly advance gun system. This becomes obvious because the Broadsword can achieve a similar level of destructive ability with a smaller, less advance gun!
Likewise, the Broadsword-Tizona uses the Cornerstone fire and control system. The entire process takes only milliseconds worth of time, it can be broken up into several distinct levels of operation. First, the FCS systems gather all low resolution imagery, infra-red imagery, high resolution imagery and infra-red imagery, radar information and sensor information. Using all of this the FCS system can detect vehicle position, orientation and range, as well as provide accurate ballistic solutions, and perform threat solutions with fast countermeasure expenditure. This information is displayed to the crew, communicated with tanks in the same information network, and translated into the tank armament, providing the Broadsword with one of the best fire and control systems currently do date. The improvement on the system is mainly based around the inclusion of a conduct of fire calculator, which networks another fifteen computers which detect wind speed and direction, temperature, atmospheric pressure, apparent target motion, range data and the ballistic characteristics of the round. The new Cornerstone is also intertwined with enhanced position location reporting system [EPLRS], the BCIS [note crew section] and a sensor management system (SMS) which includes thermal, electromagnetic and acoustic management. Cornerstone is stabilized on two axes and provides with targeting data of up to eighteen targets at a time, prioritizing with what it is designed to think as the most dangerous target at the time. The inclusion of so much processing power and so many individual computers taking so many precautions allows the Tizona upgrade more accuracy when firing on the move. The entire Cornerstone system centralizes around a digibus central processing unit [CPU] which works on a military specific operating system [OS] – Sajer. As a cooperating process to the fire control system, the battle management system is a multi-sensor-aided supplement to increase the accuracy and computing velocity of Cornerstone – that said, it should really be considered as an integral part of cornerstone. The BMS also helps further cooperation between battlefield control aircraft, such as the GLI-44 Blackjester IRBC, and tanks on the ground.
For crew communication within the tank the original fibre-optic communication system, which was translated into the Nakíl and then expanded upon, has been kept due to the security of the system and the fact that it's adequate enough for the purposes of the Broadsword-Tizona. Intra-tank communications is now completed through highly encrypted very high frequency [VHF] radio communications. Given the threat of enemy signals intelligence, including jamming, the radio has the ability to change frequencies infinitely and all tanks in platoon to battalion level will be tuned in. Nevertheless, even in a secondary design such as the Broadsword-Tizona communications are considered a principle part of the tank, and are considered of utmost necessity for victory. Command tanks are linked to battlefield controls, including ground based battlefield control brigades [BCB], allowing integrated control of the battle from a third location.

Arca II Ashurbanipal Light Battle Tank
Background: The Arca. [ArmechCarrier in Dienstadi] II Ashurbanipal was first envisioned during a competition devised by the military of Willink, and the final decision to research and design the Ashurbanipal was made after the fiasco of the Battle of La Gloria, during the War of Golden Succession, in Zarbia. The Ashurbanipal was envisioned as a light and fast alternative to the Arca. I Cougar, the mainstay battle tank of the Ejermacht, perfect for the jungle warfare which had rendered the Cougar useless at La Gloria. In fact, the majority of the Cougars deployed to fight Zarbian armour in the area had been stopped, not by Zarbian gunnery, but by the mud and rain of the jungle. In other words, an alternate, lighter design was imperative. The Ejermacht had opted for the procurement of more Wolverines, but the design was simply too heavy, and Kriegzimmer itched for a new armoured design to compliment the Arca. I, and the soon to come Arca. IV. The Wolverine had also faced bad press after their inability to stop the Weigari encirclement of three Waffen-SS divisions at the First Battle of Mons Dei, which had effectively ended their service within the ranks of the Ejermacht, although the last Wolverine was not decomissioned until early 2017.
Combat operations, especially in the Macabee doctrine of war, have always expressed the need for a light tank variant, and this became even more obvious after La Gloria and the First Battle of Mons Dei. Operation Diadem, which marked the operation into Zarbia, August 2016, saw the demise of the claimed invincibility of the Arca. I Cougar MBT, although the same tank preformed wonderfully at the Battle of Mosnoi Bor, at the Gates of Hell, and at Ishme-Dagan. Nevertheless, even during the first days of Operation Diadem the advance was slowed due to tanks entrenching themselves in the mud, and having to be pulled out, during the effort to break the Zarbian army the armoured fist was invariably stalled by tanks sinking into the jungle's turf, allowing some Zarbian units to escape. It was only through the tenacity of Macabee infantry and infantry fighting vehicles that La Gloria did not turn into a total debacle. Although the battle was won, it did seriously hamper the velocity of the invasion, and it would ultimately spell the death to many men, most of which would succumb to the diseases of Zarbia.
On 17 August, 2016, Kriegzimmer's top armoured engineers, most of which had worked on the Cougar, met at Choybalsan to discuss the future of light armour. The conference would last until 24 August, 2016, and it would set the perameters for the Ashurbanipal project. The first units of the Ashurbanipal rolled off the production line on 9 March 2017, being put into battle sometime later. The Ashurbanipal is envisioned to remain in service well into the 30s and 40s. By January 2018 the Ejermacht had procured some three thousand Arca. IIs, spread over fifteen cavalry divisions, as opposed to the heavier, much more concentrated, armour divisions. Although there are proponents of using the Ashurbanipal and the Cougar together, the Ejermacht has opted not to, and instead reserve each for their specific use - depending on the foe and terrain. In any case, the Ejermacht has expressed that if combined arms is necessary, the two divisions can act in cooperation, as opposed to merging both into one - or how many divisions may be in question.
Armament: The main armament of the Arca II Ashurbanipal is a 105mm high velocity projectile cannon, chosen over the electro-thermal chemical cannon used on the Wolverine. The gun is fully rifled, being considered more of an infantry support tank, as opposed to a tank meant to successfully stand up against heavier armoured designs, although the magnum configuration of the propellant does not make it totally worthless in that respect. The gun is forty calibres long, comming to a length of 4.2 meters, and is fed by a 'rifle clip' autoloader, which holds forty explosively formed penetrators [EFP],for anti-tank work, or simple high explosive [HE] shells. The total length of the tank, including the gun parallel to the ground, comes to 12.6 meters. The main gun provides a powerful service for infantry support, and can hold its own in anti-armour warfare.
Secondary armament includes two 7.92mm heavy machineguns, the first being placed as an independent armament on the rear of the turret, used by the commander, and the other, for the driver, placed at the front. The main gun is also supplimented with a 12.7mm co-axial machinegun, used by the gunner. The turret also holds a small 40mm automatic grenade launcher, used to fire mostly illumination rounds, although it also offers fire suppression services. The gun is blowback operated, and air-cooled, offering a rate of fire of sixty grenades per minute, being belt fed, with a maximum range of 2,200 meters.
Armour: The Ashurbanipal offers 200mm of real thickness chobham, offering up to 450mm of rolled homogenous armour equivalent on the turret, and 400mm on the glacis, with around 200mm on the side, and finally, 150mm on the rear. On top of this, the Ashurbanipal features an insulation layer, which allows for an independent reaction for the final top layer of enhanced appliqué armor kit [EAAK]. Although relatively heavy for a light tank, it is all built within the context of ultra modern main battle tanks, which sometimes feature over thousand millimeters of RHAe for KE threats. The Arca. II should give a maximum protection of around 500mm RHAe against KE threats, and around 1000mm against CE threats, which gives it ample protection against small time, yet still deadly, threats like the more modern rocket propelled grenades.
Sensor Equipment: The principle sensor on the Arca. II is the the intigrated infra-red camera, with millimetric wave radar, along with a standard foward looking infra-red [FLIR] rangefinder. This allows for near automatic target recognition and identification, which is displayed on a series of liquid crystal displays, seen by both the gunner and the commander, which also makes use of Multi Function Laser-Based DAS for greater target identification. The commander can also make use of a 360-degree panospheric imaging system, using a retractable photonic camera. This offers a more interactive camera system for the tank, although there are eight other photonic cameras embedded along the tank's chassis and turret to allow for a three hundred and sixty degree view around the tank.
Both the command and the driver function on a fully interactive display of targets, while the commander also has an ample informative screen on his sorroundings, as well as a helmet mounted display, fed by the 360-degree panospheric imaging system. In other words, reaction time for the commander, gunner and driver, alike, has been increased with an improvement of the tank's sensors and electronic systems. All three also have the ability of nightsight and thermal imaging, which was especially important in a dark, jungle-like enviroment.
Power Plant:
The Ashurbanipal makes use of a 700 break-horsepower gasoline turbine engine, providing sufficient power for a velocity of up to ninety kilometers per hour on-road, and about seventy-five kilometers off-road, and finally around twenty kilometers per hour on reverse.

TX.98 Oriontus Lightweight Mobile Gun System
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v42/allanea/allanean%20arms/Oriontus.png
The Oriontus is a sub-variant of the SOV.17 Ejíard Infantry Fighting Vehicle, and was released at the same date. As with the SOV.17, the Oriontus was specifically designed for the Spizanian Confederacy, although it's sold on a wide basis by Kriegzimmer. However, unlike the SOV.17, the TX.98 is currently mass produced for use by the Ejermacht. The genesis of such an armaments deal is strange, given the dislike for external gun turret systems in the Fuermak. The external turret has always been seen as a liability, and indeed truth be told it still is! Not only does burrying the crew into the hull decrease visibility and survivability for a vehicle designed to do such heavy damage, but the unprotected gun system is rather easy to knock out. Breech wear is also more exaggerated, due to the fact that the rounds, stored in the hull, have to be electrically raised through the gun support and then into an electrically opened door. In other words, it's complex and easy to kill. However, the advantage is that you have a 120mm gun that's light, easy to transport, paradroppable, cheap and easy to build. Accordingly, by August 2016 the Empire had around fifteen thousand tanks available for all fronts and with the rapidly expanding counterstroke against the Havenic armies that had marched to the River Styx more tanks were rapidly needed.
The future of the Macabee tank corps dawned by August 2016. Since July of that same year the Empire had begun to import 1,600 UT-1s, renamed the Eshkir. The UT-1s would see a turret conversion, a suspension and track conversion, and some appliqué armour added to the glacis and lower hull. About 200 full conversions would be ready by September 2016, with another 650 hybrids and the rest complete UT-1s which were not converted due to the lack of time. Any survivors were converted to full Eshkirs after the battle of Ishme-Dagan, although there would not be many survivors left. Within those two same months several thousand Juumanistran JBT.14A4 Sentinels, JBT.24M2/M3 Orions, JBT.31A3 Centurions and JBT.35 Minotaurs would be imported by the Empire and renamed the Tíerdanza series; specifically the -73, -82, -96 and the -6. All in all around 20,000 foreign designs were imported in just a little above two months! However, given the hasty redesigns, or the old, or unfitting designs of the original, the Fuermak needed more armour.
For that reason the Oriontus begun production for home use starting in mid-July 2016 and by early September of that year around four thousand had been produced and shipped to Ruska for immediate use. In September 2016 only around five hundred were produced as replacements, expecting greater production of the Cougar. Despite their rapid deployment they were expected to be pushed out of service by April 2017, eventually lost through attrition and through the production of the new Nakíl main battle tank by February 2017. By January of the new year production would be reduced to around 400 a month. However, even in the ten months of productions the TX.98 Oriontus saw a very lively and productive combat history, and it would be continue use in certain operations after April 2017 until they were totally lost due to attrition. The TX.98 Oriontus would see a much longer life with the Spizanian army and several other armies abroad. The Spizanian Army would originally put an order towards their own armament industry for about 2,000 vehicles, with no word on future expansion possibilities.
The main armament is an externally mounted 120mm smoothbore conventional solid propellant gun, fifty-five calibres in length and around 6.6 meters in length! The gun, the AGS.98, uses a twin-chamber muzzle break, with a recoil length of 600mm, producing around 24t worth of recoil. The gun fires all 120mm Imperial APFSDS at around 1,700-1,800 meters per second. It's fed through the bottom of the breech, and fully implanted by an internal hammer. The breech plating has to be replaced after every eight hundred shots on average, while the entire barrel barrel can last over one thousand rounds. Despite the complexity of the autoloader the AGS.98 and all subsystems still mange to be built at a cheaper price than the turreted AGS.175 found on the Nakíl and its own subsystems. The entire external turret is built into an outer casing based upon about 9mm of welded steel, backed by rubber, and with a final backplate of around 27mm worth of armoured steel. This protects the gun from up to 14mm rounds. However, other than that, the gun is in the open, which is an inherent disadvantage of an external gun turret. Nevertheless, true enough the profile of the vehicle is much lower and when used in the open has slight advantages to call its own against main battle tanks. The size of the gun can also penetrate the rear and side plates of most modern main battle tanks.
The rest of the hull has the same armour as the SOV.17, or the 'Geop' scheme. In other words, steel/rubber/aluminum/rubber/aluminum, and is rather thick on the glacis and parts of the side of the vehicle. The lower hull is also rather heavy, but somewhat lighter than the glacis. The rear also has more protection than a main battle tank of similar size, taking advantage of the fact it lacks the turret and everything that goes along the turret to keep it cheap and light. Although the Soviets are all reluctant to sell assault weapons to civilians (indeed, TWSP's statistics show that less than 1% of the yearly deaths are due to firearms), the bustling Allanean market could no longer be ignored.
And, after all, this would ultimately mean less Allaneans.
Therefore, Soviet Arms Corporation contacted Allanean Arms in regards to one of the guns that has represented SAC over the years.
The Saw. (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12139387&postcount=288)
Maybe, Allanean arms would be interested in selling this, granted SAC obtained a percentage for each unit sold.
Allanean Arms responded rapidly. While the associated ammunition costs, and the sheer weight of the machine gun limited its public appeal, Allanean Arms advertised vigorously, and the guns would be sold in small, yet persistent amounts.
Within the first year, over a hundred thousand "Saws" were sold.
Eventually the sales stabilized at persistent 500,000 guns per year.
G11 Series Lightweight Vehicles
The G11 series, featuring G11/A through G11/H, is a complete set of light vehicles, based on the same chassis, designed to fulfill different roles, such as reconnaissance, and electronic warfare. The entirety of the G11 series is tracked. The final decision between tracked vehicles and wheeled vehicles came after an analysis of warfare envisioned by the Empire, and examples in the mainland, the colonies, and the Skiberdeenian colonies. It was decided that most of the warfare, especially for the grand majority of these vehicles, would take pleace off-road, where tracks were superior in ruggedness over the same wheeled variants, and so the ability to safely travel off-road was considered as more of a priority than the ability to travel faster on road. A wheeled set would be released sometime later by Kriegzimmer in the G24 series, for clients that found wheels superior over tracking. The tracks include seven road wheels, with interspersed support rollers, which carry a box like hull, with a steep glacis at the front, with a flat, round turret on the rear half. The suspension is a hydropneumatic suspension system, which is best for road irregularities and maintaning high velocities, despite poor road conditions. Unfortunately, hydropneumatic suspension is also more expensive to maintain than a torsion bar with a MacPherson strut.
The hull is constructed from a high grade atomized steel alloy, and protected by a thin ceramic layer, sandwhiched between two lightweight titanium plates, offering relatively high resistance per mass. The top titanium layer is covered by a thin layer of honeycombed titanium aluminum alloy, which in turn embeds support structures for the possibility of adding appliqué armours, at an expense in weight, or slat armour. Possible appliqués that can be fitted onto the G11 series include advance modular armour protection, modular expandable armour system, explosive reactive armour, non explosive reactive armour, and enhanced appliqué armour kit, as well as most other indegenous appliqué armour designs.
In all variants most computer hardware is EMP protected, and all inner computer hardware is insulated against heavy jolting, an effect of high speed reconnaissance in force. The crew has an assembly of high quality active matrix liquid crystal displays, included in an overhead system, a helmet mounted system, and a frontal displayed system. Most of the vehicles in the series can be noted on the battlefield with a relatively large, for the hull, circular sensor mounted on the low turret to the rear, which is a foward looking infra-red sensor kit, with a co-axially mounted ladar receiver for passive light detection. Sights are a digital camera, with high magnification and focus possiblities, as well as the ability to see both day and night. Each vehicle includes an inter-vehicle short wave communication system, and a intra-vehicle broadband communition system.

YU.13 Gertantel 155mm Self-Propelled Howitzer
http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i291/Macabees/YU.png
The 'God of War'
The first indegenous howitzer that was fielded by the Second Empire of the Golden Throne [The Macabees] was actually put into production post-war [Great Civil War]. For all the technological advancements achieved during the war the Macabee Kingdom did not field a self-propelled howitzer. This self-propelled piece, put into production 2006, was the KriGud - God of War. Despite its name and its long service within the Fuermak [over eleven years] it was a disastrous project, kept only because of the national pride that went into the artillery gun. It was overpowered with too large of an engine which consequently disallowed the four barrels to depreciate less than 11 degrees, and cramped stowage conditions within the chassis which both limited the amount of rounds able to be stored and threatened that if it was penetrated by anything the KriGud could go up in flames. And even with the larger engine the vehicle could only roll at around fifty kilometers per hour due to transmission problems. Beyond mechanical problems the KriGud's 'ingenious' design allowed it to drop twenty-four rounds a minute, using mercy mission to alternate flight paths and thus allowing all twenty-four rounds to fall at the same time, increasing the amount of shells an artillery piece could put in before the adversary was fully aware of what was happening. In other words it was for the advantage of suprise. Unfortunately, this backfired given that at the time of design the cooling mechanisms could not possibly keep the rate of fire of six rounds per barrel a minute, meaning the tubes would have to be replaced far too frequently to make it cost-effective. Finally, the heavy use of hydraulics make it far too much of a fire hazard, and it was overweight for its type. In other words, the KriGud was the Empire's IS-4 of artillery.
Nevertheless the KriGud saw a long service within the Fuermak, and service in the artillery arms of several other countries, such as Hailandkill. However, the KriGud failed to see much combat in Kahta [due to hasty armstice at the request of Kahta] and in the Malgerian War due to quick conclusion of that as well. By 2016 it was being phased out in favour of the 155mm Corbulo, a self-propelled artillery piece, and didn't see combat in Ruska, although it would be deployed in the 'Reistari" counterstroke between August 2016 and October 2016, in which the Empire, along with its Killian allies, would finally break into Weigar culminating at the Battle of Viusbi which would claim tens of thousands of lives on both sides. The KriGud also saw much service within the Killian armies in the War of Golden Sucession, including the First and Second Battles of Mons Dei and the Battle of Aurillac between May and August 2016. In fact, the KriGud would see a lot of combat in service of Kriegzimmer clients. It's track record was actually not quite as bad as its mechanical failures were, and were it not for the obvious logistical problems the KriGud would most likely remain in service, but despite impressive examples during war, the Fuermak and Ejermacht [Armed Forces and Ground Forces] decided it was time to replace it in August of 2016. Emperor Fedor I personally begun competition between Kriegzimmer's subcompanies in the conglomerate to come up with three different designs, one for each contractor, and present them to him by May 2017. The eight months would offer some impressive results.
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
On 8 May 2017 Fedor was personally presented with three seperate howitzer designs from Factories 836, 290 and 371. The former presented Vehekt 1029, which was the direct relation to the God of War. It followed suite with four 'stub' barrels which would rotate in rapid succession firing around thirty-six rounds in a minute. However, it was absolutely huge and threatened logistical hell should the cooling liquids be let loose out of their canisters. Vehekt 1029 was ordered scrapped and the factory was told to switch towards production of the chosen howitzer immediately after the showcase. Factory 290 offered Vehekt 2013 which was a large 240mm self-propelled howitzer. In the end it was a decision between Vehekt 2013 and Vehekt 3780 from Factory 371. The latter, of course, would become the Gertantel, a 155mm long range self-propelled howitzer, designed to become a state-of-the-art vehicle to replace the God of War and give the Empire a piece that could last for the next two to three decades. Ultimately, it had the fact that liquid propellants had been tested with the Nakíl, successfully at that, and that it was based off the chassis of the Nakíl, making production much cheaper and faster. The showcase concluded with Fedor ordering Vehekt 1029 eliminated, Vehekt 2013 put into production by June 2017 as the 'Ferestíen' Heavy Self-Propelled Howitzer, after some extensive revisions, and Vehekt 3780 to be put into production 'effective immediately' in dozens of factories around the world, prepared to replace around six hundred God of Wars by mid-June and over two thousand by the end of July, which would make it one of the largest replacement operations undertaken by Kriegzimmer.
Armament:
The YU.13 is fitted with a forty-four caliber 155mm howitzer, using a two-stage hydroxylammonium nitrate [HAN] stabalised regeneratively injected liquid propellant [RILP]. Injection is done by four nozzles that inject into the combustion chamber of the gun, and the liquid propellant quickly expands faster as it goes down the six meter long barrel. Despite past distrust in liquid propellants the technology has seen more and more use, first in the Hali-42 assault rifle, then in the Nakíl 1 main battle tank, and now in the Gertantel self-propelled howitzer. Through greater segregation of the liquid propellant in the cylindrical storage tanks behind the combustion chamber, designed to allow maximum storage effeciency of a propellant type who's advantages include better storage effeciency, the liquid propellant's disadvantages become less evident. The reshaped barrel is lined with chrome, with the layer gradually thicknening as it goes down the barrel, however, liquid propellants are known to allow for extended barrel life due to the controlled combustion. The liquid propellant should guarantee much longer ranges and a more cost effective system.
The YU.13 is compatible with all older 155mm Kriegzimmer rounds, including the TIR.11.155 high explosive [HE] round, TIR.76.155 Extended Range Dual Purpose Improved Conventional Munition and the TIR.21.155 Sense and Destroy Armor Munition, as well as the other five principal 155mm rounds [TIR.33.155, TIR.217.155, TIR.17.155, TIR.81,155 and TIR.31.155]. Furthermore, the fire control system of the Gartantel can fire up to ten rounds fire and strike at the same time using 'mercy mission' control. In other words, it controls the trajectory of the round so that the rounds land at the same time, increasing the amount of firepower it can put down under the auspices of suprise.
Supply Vehicle
The YU.13 Gurtantel vehicle has its own resupply vehicle known as the YUA(VT) and has the capability to automatically resupply the Gartantel with forty-eight rounds in just over ten minutes, as well as fuel. The resupply vehicle carries ninety-six rounds and is armored by a thin layer of ~60mm of aluminum armor against small arms fire. Both vehicles are tracked.

Pleased to see the new and full catalogue for the wares of Confederate and Confederate-allied industry becoming available, I've been authorized to make both the following purchases as well as certain inquiries.
First, we wish to order the following. Our land forces and navy are in the end process of a long internal reorganization, and though not all of this equipment is immediately destined for active service (indeed much of it will be going into mobilization-readiness stocks straightaway) nonetheless given the international situation as it stands we feel we cannot afford more delay in ordering it.
100,000 G11/A Light Reconnaissance Vehicles ($230,000,000,000 USD)
100,000 G11/C Artillery Command Vehicles ($230,000,000,000 USD)
100,000 G11/D Smoke Generator Vehicles ($230,000,000,000 USD)
100,000 G11/E Automatic Mortars ($270,000,000,000 USD)
100,000 G11/F Electronic Warfare Vehicles ($310,000,000,000)
50,000 G11/G Light Tank Destroyers ($160,000,000,000)
50,000 each of Sledgehammer II Univeral Antiship Cruise Missiles, Principe III Antiship Missiles/Torpedoes, Av.36 Hammerhead ADCAP Torpedoes, Av.17 Tiburon Light Torpedoes, and Av.92 Calisto Supercavitating Torpedoes. ($1,280,000,000,000 altogether.)
1,000,000 each of Tagus Antitank Missiles, TIR.11.155 HE Rounds, TIR.76.155 ER DPICM Rounds, TIR.21.155 SADARM Rounds, TIR.33.155 TCR Rounds, TIR.217.155 HD Round, and TIR.17.155 RAAM Rounds, and TIR.81.155 ADAM Rounds. ($88,500,000,000 USD altogether)
TOTAL: $2,798,500,000,000 USD
We're also curious as to the rules regarding licensing for items sold at Allanean Arms, especially the munitions in question; though in the absence of statements from AA HQ naturally we'll hold off from any assumptions.
I'm also pleased to report that the Allanean Arms ABK Mark 1 bayonet is a popular civil item, me supposedly hearing offhand from Commerce Department reports that some ten million per annum are sold in Wagdog to those interested; mainly wilderness enthusiasts or else thoughtful servicemembers electing to purchase their own bayonet and spare some stress on limited Government-issue stocks. I've asked the Commerce Secretary to inform me about any reports from market sources regarding other AA sales per year besides those on record, for convenience of notification to you, but for now this is all I've come across in terms of new developments.

[GLI-34 Albatross Heavy Bomber]
[Project Information]
The GLI-34 Albatross is the second attempt of the Empire to design and mass produce a heavy bomber. The first design, the MAA-1C, unfortunately, was highly unreliable, and extremely obsolete. Consequently, upon the rise of Fedor I to the throne of the Empire, and the War of Golden Succession, with threats of military actions in foreign soil, an Imperial order placed funds for the research and development of a new long range, heavy bomber.
The original project was handed to Luftkrieg; however, after their initial reluctance, and then their eventual postponing of the design, the final project was awarded to a brand new aerial company, Golden Luftwaffe Industries.
It took GLI a total of two years to put together the technology required for the Albatross; nonetheless, the end result was an extremely qualified bomber, with an extremely modern façade. GLI’s GLI-34 is perhaps one of the bombers with the most quality, throughout the world, although such generalities would be impossible to verify. Regardless, the Albatross will remain the mainstay bomber of the Luftwaffe for years to come, and has been marketed as an extremely good purchase for any nation – especially since the Second Empire of the Golden Throne does not have a blacklist, and ships armaments to any nation willing to pay the price at hand.
The Albatross’ design has included the inclusion of several technologies repeatedly excluded in other’s bomber projects. Regardless, much of it is standard electronics and avionics, which only add to the luxury of the Albatross as a first class heavy bomber aircraft. However, the Albatross should not be considered an equal to others with similar electronics and aviation, as the Albatross also includes several of its own innovations, and most of the systems included have been improved in some way.
During the first year of production GLI received a single order for a hundred aircraft from the OberKommando des Luftwaffe. It’s expected that GLI will receive enough orders to gain an extreme profit, especially from foreign quarters. Thus, it is expected that the GLI-34 is to be an extremely successful design in the near future.
[Cockpit and Avionics]
The cockpit is designed for two crew members, the pilot and his co-pilot. The main electronics system within the cockpit is the electronic flight instrumentation system (EFIS), designed using a liquid crystal matrix (AMLCD), which has been provided by Rockwell Collins Industries. The EFIS is part of the glass cockpit, showing all information vital to the well being of the Albatross, including, the aircraft’s situation, position and progress.
The aircraft’s system’s conditions and performance of the engines is shown on the Engines Indication and Crew Alerting System (EICAS). EICAS has replaced all mechanical gauges and other such systems used on older designed. Furthermore, EICAS displays information on a need to know basis, although the pilot and his co-pilot have the possibility of investigating certain information, without EICAS displaying it automatically.
The Albatross also includes an Altitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS), which uses a three axis system which displays altitude, heading and yaw, to the crew. AHRS is made up of accelerometers and magnetometers; the former measures acceleration and the effects of gravity – the latter measures the Earth’s magnetic fields.
The Air Data Computer included within the glass cockpit determines altitude, velocity, and altitude trend, rather than individual instruments.
The Albatross has a transponder underneath the nose of the aircraft, which receives codes from IFF RADARs and flight control systems. This transponder, however, should not be confused with the short range LIDAR transponder located nearby, which is for system defense.
The landing systems use a radio, microwave and differential global positioning system (DGPS), which allows the bomber to land with the aid of satellites. The obstacle warning system (LOAM) is a navigational aid system designed to protect the Albatross from potential dangerous obstacles in its flight path, especially when landing.
The Head-up Display (HUD) offers thirty degrees view horizontally, by twenty-five degrees vertically. The head-up display screen is flanked by four Up-Front Display (UFP) screens, built as active matrix liquid crystal screens. This net of display systems is the primary artery of the integrated control panel (ICP) which allows the pilot to change data for communications, navigation and auto-pilot settings. Underneath the integrated control panel is the Primary Multi-Function Display (PMFD), which gives the pilot another “God’s Eye View” of the environment (the first being the much larger EFIS).
Finally, for navigational purposes, the Albatross uses a tactical air navigational system (TACAN).
[Electronic Systems]
The Albatross includes a bi-static phased array RADAR on the Albatross’ nose and tail apertures, giving it a three hundred and sixty degree scan, burning through 5th Generation stealth at around three hundred kilometers distance. The bi-static phased array RADAR needs no physical movement; instead it’s controlled by phase-shifters, which change the degree of the beam within nanoseconds. This system is matched by an infra-red search and track system, (IRST) which uses infra-red technology to track heat signatures for up to one hundred kilometers. The latter system is completely passive.
The Albatross also includes a RADAR megalith, including an X-band RADAR, which denotes the RADAR’s frequency. This is joined with next generation radar (NEXRAD) which includes a network of small Doppler RADARs, and the improved polarimetric RADAR, which adds vertical polarization in order to know what exactly is reflecting the signal back.
The Albatross has been fitted with an inertial navigation system (INS), as well as a an Doppler RADAR Velocity Sensor (DVS).
The Albatross also includes a light detection and ranging system, (LIDAR) which is one of the most advance in the world – this, GLI could say for sure. The Albatross’ system is based on a transponder and receiver, beside that of the IFF transponder, which uses a Gaussian transmitter system to transmit LIDAR waves. The Gaussian transmitter is based on two electrical fields sending electrically charged photonic waves to bounce off targets and have active measurements on its velocity and location. The advantage of this LIDAR system is that the active RADAR only needs to gain a location on an object once before the LIDAR can take over, meaning a bomber can turn off its active RADAR to reduce its signature. The Albatross’ LIDAR uses Doppler LIDAR in order to keep track of an object’s velocity, as well as a LIDAR range finder.
The Albatross features a global positioning system (GPS), which although doubles as avionics, also allows the bomber to drop munitions under satellite guidance, allowing for much great accuracy.
For countermeasures the Albatross features an Advance Integrated Defensive Electronic Countermeasure System (AIDECM), which uses both noise jamming, deception jamming, and blip enhancement. The Albatross’ AIDECM also includes the use of chaff, flares and soids accordingly, having a dispenser behind the hard points
[Airframe]
The airframe of the Albatross’ most important statistical feature is the fact that most angles are at fifty-six degrees. More importantly, most of the aircraft is covered by a glass medium, which acts as a subsequent polarizer, which is much more effective more refracting light waves (thus RADAR waves). Most of the information to complete this project accurately was committed to by a physicist named Sir David Brewster, who has provided Brewster’s Angle for stealth mechanisms even in the 21st century.
The Albatross also has a remarkably small RADAR cross section (RCS), much like the Avro Vulcan had in its time, and now the F-117. Brewster’s angles are reinforced using corner reflectors perpendicular to the RADAR wave. The aircraft also includes a layer of RADAR absorbent material (RAM), which is formed of a composition between honeycomb RAM, black absorbent RAM, and foam absorbers. This groundbreaking design of RAM has allowed the aircraft to absorb between 3MHz to 6 GHz. This means that OTHR designed RADAR systems can no longer pick up the Albatross, allowing it a more advance stealth feature.
The frame itself is designed using an aluminum based super alloy (NiAl), a third generation crystal alloy (RENE N6), titanium, cobalt, steel, and interlaced iron, as well as a zirconium-hafnium alloy. This allows for a relatively light airframe, but also extremely strong in all respects.
[Engines]
The Albatross is equipped with six 40,000 pound force (lbf) turbofan engines, integrated into the wing, and heavily laden with ultra-modern infra-red signature suppressants (IRS) lining the engines and all other major heat outtakes.
The engine’s turbine blades use a single crystal alloy, while the turbojet itself is lined with Thymonel 8, a third generation crystal super alloy. This latter super alloy has been known for excellent heat absorbance, and even more excellent resistance against a potentially harmful environment.
The Albatross’ engines are designed to operate at 70% of design maximum, to conserve fuel during throttling procedures, since turbojets have the unfortunate characteristic that they do not throttle efficiently.
[Armaments]
The Albatross has the capabilities of carrying up to twenty-seven thousand two hundred and fifteen kilograms (sorry about the shift in units), translating into sixty thousand pounds. This can include everything from High Speed Anti-Radiation Missiles (HARM), Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM), supersonic and hypersonic cruise missiles, Joint Stand-off Weapons (JSOW), Joint Air-to-Surface Stand-off Missiles (JASSM), and the Wind Compensated Munitions Dispenser (WCMD).
To allow different mixes of weaponry the Albatross includes a Generic Weapons Interface System (GWIS).
In short, the Albatross can carry almost anything in existence that does not exceed the weight limit, including all Kriegzimmer missile products.
Each weapon bay is based off a rotary launcher and a quadruple bomb rack system, allowing the Albatross to drop munitions quickly and efficiently. Notwithstanding, the Albatross carries three separate bomb bays.

The nation of Orbath is greatly interested in the Azores class Fast Attack Craft but we have several questions. What is the endurance of this ship? I.e., how long can it go without resupply? Can the AK-306 and/or Hali-203 artillery systems be replaced for a 57mm Bofors gun. Can the ships be outfitted with a funneling system to funnel the exhaust through sea water, cooling it? How large is the crew? What is the range of the ASW 127mm rocket powered grenade launchers? I hope you can answer our questions?

AA-13 Manhunter
Stuka. A-10. SU-25. Dracotaur. These are the names of a variety of weapons, both terrible and fearsome, used by nations all across the world to enhance their power, to destroy those who rose against them in faraway lands. Now, a new name rises to the top of the list . It is the AA-13 "ManHunter".
It is to be admitted that the AA-13 is not a fully original design. Several years ago, DREAD personnel heard that the Juumanistrans were creating a combat UCAV based on a commercial plane chassis – the Dracotaur.
While, due to accusations of so-called 'crimes against humanity', the Juumanistrans had prohibited Allanean purchases of the Dracotaur, the Allanean Central Intelligence Agency [ACIA], cooperating with the Department of Research, Evolution, And Development [DREAD], had successfully purchased several samples of the manned prototypes of the Dracotaur.
The Department then began a hunt for alternative components to replace the systems of the Dracotaur with indigenous Allanean equipment. Because Allanea is a developed nation, finding such systems was not very hard.
As a matter of fact, the Allaneans had successfully improved on certain qualities of the Dracotraur – the scimitar-bladed propfans were now made of a composite material, reducing the weight of the aircraft by approximately 100 kilograms, and many key structures have been replaced by carbon-fiber, not unlike the EU 'Barracuda' aircraft. The total weight savings have been an astonishing 600 kilograms reduction of weight of the aircraft.
The flight computer has also been improved upon, as well as the targeting arrays.
Externally, the general build of the AA-13 is similar to the Dracotaur – due to them being based on the same commercial aircraft, and even sharing the same prototype.
Naturally, DREAD denies any accusations that the AA-13 is a "Dracotaur monkey model".

Unguided Bombs:
HEB-500
This is an Allanean modification of the Soviet 500-kilogram high-explosive bomb. It is designed to destroy defence industry facilities, light armoured vehicles, railway junctions, fortifications and personnel.
There ain't no hi-tech here. There be explosives, and a bomb shell.
This bomb can also be had in a HEB-250 (250-kilogram weight) and HEB-100 (100-kilogram weight), for a price of $1500 and $750 dollars respectively.
Bomb weight (kilograms): 500
Explosive weight (kilograms): 275
Length: 2.47 meters
Diameter: 0.4 meters
Export Cost: $2500
Manufacturers: Allanean Arms, Kazansky Heavy Industries, Hammond Motors, Freedom Aircraft
HEBFI-500
This an Allanean high-incendiary, fragmentation, explosive, incendiary bomb. If you think the name is a moutful, just wait until you see the bomb hit. These bombs are designed to destroy light armoured
materiel, fuel stocks and other targets by a combination of explosive effect, fragmentation (pre-fragmented shrapnel has been added to the bomb) and thermal effect (I.e., incendiaries).
This bomb can also be had in a HEBFI-250 (260-kilogram weight) and HEBFI-100 (110-kilogram weight), for a price of $1700 and $850 dollars respectively.

Manufacturers: Allanean Arms, Kazansky Heavy Industries, Hammond Motors, Freedom Aircraft
CPB-500
This is a basic concrete-piercing bomb. It has a smaller amount of explosive and heavier shell, combined with a delayed fuze, allowing itself to first punch itself into concrete and then to detonate, increasing damage to fortified positions designed to destroy underground dumps, command posts, communications centres and reinforced concrete shelters.
No smaller bombs are available.

FAEB-500
For those of you who love the smell of fresh napalm in the morning, this is the Fuel-Air Explosive Bomb, 500-kilogram. It is filled with delicious liquid incendiary mix, and a small amount of explosives. As the bomb drops, the explosive charge blows it up, igniting (and then detonating) the suspended fuel-air-explosive mix. And then – BLAM.
The power of the resulting explosion is truly amazing – consider that 500 grams of modern FAE mix is equivalent to an 155mm howitzer in terms of damage to unreinforced buildings and blast radius. Here you have about 500 times the amount of explosive mix.
This bomb can also be had in a FAEB-250 (250-kilogram weight) and FAEB-100 (100-kilogram weight), for a price of $2600 and $1400 dollars respectively.

Firespitter factory custom handgun
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v42/allanea/allanean%20arms/29firespitter.jpg
Throughout its history, Allanean Arms had focused on supplying the civilian market – with firearms, cars, portable homes and other objects of their desire. It controls in full 25% of the Allanean automotive market, 10% of the civilian firearms market, as well as large shares other civilian markets. And so it is natural that many of the company's designs are leveled at civilian firearm consumers.
Such is the Firespitter competition pistol. Built initially on the 1911 frame, it is plated with 24karat gold, designed to look like a crouching dragon. But the gold plating on the pistol is only the beginning. The trigger group, barrel, and sights are manufacture in a precision process similar to that used in the pistols deployed with the Allanean Olympic Rapid Fire pistol team.
The trigger has a 3.5-pound pull weight without creep or overtravel, and the pistol is equipped with an ambidextrous grip safety. The sights are fully adjustable. With a low profile, beveled corners and edges, and serrated blade, they work just as well for defensive carry as they do at the range – though we note that if you order a Firespitter to carry in self-defense, you should carry it openly and let people marvel at the excellent finish.
The Firespitter is available to be ordered by phone or Internet or purchased at gun stores throughout the United States of Allanea. Recommended retail price is $3000.
Weight: 2.5 lb
Length: 8.25 in
Barrel length: 5.1
Cartridge: .45 ACP, 9mm, others
Magazine capacity: 7-12
Price: $2500 at wholesale

NBU-P Detonating Device
http://tewton.narod.ru/mines-2/nvu-p-1.jpg
The NVU-P device is design to control the work of five anti-personnel landmines, serving as a sensor and target identifier and directly issuing blast orders to the landmines themselves.
The NVU-P allows establishing groups of five OZM-72 (MON-50) anti-personnel landmines and enables the sequential detonation of the mines in the group as more targets come into range.
If the device is installed as a remote-controlled weapon, the activation or deactivation of the weapon is executed via the MZU remote control using a two-wire cable. The length of the cable is determined by its type and the remote control board's power source and can be up to several hundred meters long.
The device consist of a CPU, a SV-20P seismic sensors, five NM electric trigger devices, five rolls of cable, a MUV-4 detonator and five anti-personnel fragmention landmines. Per every 20 kits, one testing and calibration device is issued. Per every 12 kits, one MZU remote control is issued, as well as one stick of TNT per NVU-P devices (ranging from 75 to 200 grams).
Five fragmentation devices are to be linked to the NVU-P by isolated copper mine. It is issued with OZM-72 or MON-50 mines, but any anti-personnel frag mines capable of utilizing the MD-5M fuse can be deployed (MON100, MON200, MOMZ-2M, OZM3, OZM4), as well as electric-detonated mines (OZM-160, OZM-3, OZM equipped with an UVK device).
Further, the seismic sensor is buried next to the device and linked to it by cable.
The device is always in guard mode. As potential targets (vehicles and humans) enter the area, the sensor transmits the seismic data to the device, which identifies the targets and the range to them. If a human being is detected, the weapon goes into combat mode, estimating the range and bearing to target. As the target enters range, the nearest landmine to it is chosen, and the trigger devices linked to it sends a detonating impulse to the mine. All mines are controlled in the same manner.
The device reliably identifies human motions (running, walking, crawling or skiing) and identifies it from animal and vehicle movement in any and all weather conditions. The likelihood of a mistake is 0.0004 (4 in ten thousand). If the ground conditions differ significantly from standard, the weapon is calibrated before implanting, and the calibration data then used for all weapons of this type deployed in the area.
When OZM-72 mines are used, the target is detected within 120-150 meters, and the detonation occurs as the target enters the range of about 15 meters. On the scheme below, the location of the device is marked in red. The mines are marked in blue and the detection zone – in pink. Light blue marks the mines' blast radii, whereas the green marks the distance at which blast orders are given. Obviously, when one of the mines detonated, the target is always in range.
http://tewton.narod.ru/mines-2/nvu-p-2.gif
Author's Note: This explosive device is sometimes called 'The Hunt'. We used to explain it to soldiers simply: 'This mine blows up five times.
It cannot be approached and disarmed. The seismic sensor cannot be cheated. The mine cannot be detected by any modern device without entering its range. Furthermore, this device is incredibly devious. As the first soldiers are injured, their comrades and medics will believe it to be a normal mine detonation and rush to their defense, triggering the second mine. Attempts by the wounded to crawl away into safety will trigger a third mine – and the OZM-72 detonates at the height of about one meter, injuring both the walking and crawling. There is no escape but to lie still and bleed to death. You seem alive, but there are no chances of survival. Those who die first are luckier.
The funny thing (so to speak) is that despite all this cruelty, the device does not fit under the Ottawa Convention – the weapon itself is not a mine, and the attached devices are, legally speaking, not mines but submunitions.
http://tewton.narod.ru/mines-2/nvu-p-3.jpg
The device itself is a cylinder. The upper half houses the electronics' block, and the lower – six round R-20 batteries. The electronics' block is fixed to the underside of a steel cover, that is in turn fixed to the hull with three locks. The outer side of the cover has plugs for the seismic sensor (seen on the lower left of the image) and six plugs for the trigger devices (one of them is on the right, attached to the stick of dynamite), a box to hold the trigger devices and cable, a plug for the MUV-4 detonator, an indicator lamp, and plugs for the MZU device and the calibration device.
Here is on the of the MN trigger devices:
http://tewton.narod.ru/mines-2/nvu-p-5.jpg
Before the NVU-P is installed, you must choose the location of the device and mines so that their blast radii exceed the size of the blast order zone, so that they cover each other and so that none of the mines are outside the blast order zones. After this install the device, without plugging in the landmines' fuzes. The electric trigger devices will go into the fuze plugs of the mines
This is a picture of the OZM-72 mine with a MUV-2 fuse. This fuse must be replaced by an electric trigger device.

This is a picture of the OZM-72 mine with the fuse be replaced by an electric trigger device.

This is a picture of the NM.electric trigger device attached to the MON-100 mine
http://tewton.narod.ru/mines-2/nvu-p-6.gif
Use the calibration device to test the operational capacity of the device and the cable. Bury or mask the device, mines, and cable, leaving only the MUV-4 detonator on the surface. Only attach it to the device after you have completed all other tasks.
After you receive the order to arm the landmine, rip out the firing pin for the MUV-4. The fuse's firing pin, activated after a short time, will close the circuit and activate the NVU-P.
If the NVU-P is installed as a controlled weapon, the MUV-4 is not to be installed. Rather, attach a control cable to the device. The remote control itself must be placed 200 meters away. From this moment on, the NVU-5 will remain armed and will remain so until the batteries run out several months later, at which point all surviving mines and the device will self-destruct.
The NVU-P lack an integral self-destruct devices, but, as shown on the drawings above, a TNT stick can be attached to it for this purpose. Self-destruct will occur upon battery exhaustion or detonation all five mines.
The NVU-P can be considered impossible to disarm or remove. However, a later modifications, known as the NVU-PM, has an additional circuit that will detonate all mines upon an attempt to cut any of the cables. This makes it impossible to try to drive up to the NVU-PM in a car and disarm it, which was technically doable with an NBU-P.
The NVU-P is normally used with the MUV-4 fuse, but can also be used with MUV-3 and MUV-2 fuses, in which case activation delay is that of the fuse. Further it can be activate with a detonation machine or any other electric source, linked to the device with an NM electric trigger device, however this makes switching the NVU-P back to standby mode impossible.
The NVU-PM is also equipped with a timer, switching the device into safe mode for a certain time period every 24 hours (and up to three times a day), enabling passage through the minefield at those times. This enables, among other things, installing new mines to replace those activated.

http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd139/PWOTsTheMan/LLAW5.png
The Mondothian Armed forces has always been somewhat leery of over-reliance on AFVs, especially with the advent of inexpensive, man portable missiles that could disable or kill even MBTs with minimal cost or effort. However, it was noted that despite the advent of such missiles, foreign powers had not abated the development or implementation of armored vehicles and it was noted with some trepidation that the 'armor deficient' Mondothian military could not easily field enough anti-tank weapons to deal with the threat and it was decided that a crash program to 'arm every soldier with an ATW' was begun. However, early in the project, this was determined to be impractical and the program goal was amended to field ATWs at the fire team and squad level while retaining the capability to field special units with complete ATW saturation.
The contract was won by a design by Legionaire Inc. a small arms company with few prior contracts that could not fulfill production requirements and was forced to sell production rights to Mondoth Arms.
The MLAW features an M72 style collapsing tube to enable easier storage and transport. While collapsed, the tube acts as a water-tight container. To ready, the inner section must be pulled out by the attached handle, this opens the caps and arms the firing mechanism. To fire, a safety pin must be removed and a plastic cap must be removed from over the trigger housing (during initial testing, soldiers complained the housing was difficult to remove, especially with gloves, subsequently, textured indents were included to facilitate removal), then the soldier places the sight on the target, corrects for target speed, range and distance if applicable, and depresses the firing trigger.
The Missile is recoil-less and has significant back-blast, contra-indicating use from enclosed spaces and leaving an easily spotted smoke bloom at the firing position. To counter-act this, a liquid filled 'counter-mass insert' is available that is attached to the rear of the missile prior to firing and greatly decreases the back-blast effect, allowing the missile to be fired from inside buildings and other enclosed spaces.

The Lee-Nordenfeldt No. 7 rifle started life as the manually-operated straight pull rifle No. 1 in 1896. The updated and modernized version of the No. 1, the No. 2 Mk. 3 (http://z4.invisionfree.com/NSDraftroom/index.php?showtopic=225), served for well over 50 years with its original developers and users, The Northern Expanse and The Republic of Izistan. The L-N turned out to be both reliable and easy to use, disdaining the the clumsy, sensitive rotating
bolts of most other straight pull rifles. The straight back and forth action of the manual bolt gave the rifle a speed advantage over the contemporary manually rotating bolt action rifles while remaining simple.
However, it was found that in the face of modern machinegun fire, even this quick-to-work manual action simply was not enough and a program to find a replacement was established. Three methods of replacement were sought:
- Develop an indigenous semi-automatic rifle or find a civilian company with the right experience for this.
- Find a way to modify and update the current No. 2 service rifle through a reliable method of operation while retaining parts commonality.
- Purchase an existing design from a foreign manufacturer willing to license domestic production.
It was decided that the first option would require too long a period of time with war on the horizon and Izistan already embroiled in reclaiming its home territory from the barbarians that had forced them to flee centuries before while simultaneously becoming involved in the G'Topian Secession. The third option was avoided for some of these same reasons as well as not being an indigenous design. So, the second option was chosen since it was thought that the existing facilities could be used to produce this upgraded rifle. While the resulting rifle, the No. 7, outwardly shares many of the same facets as the older No. 2 series of rifles, internally it is much different. First and foremost a gas piston was added to the right side of the barrel. This placement was chosen so that the sight line of the rifle would not be raised significantly and weight of the gas system would be supported by the stock and only partially by the barrel. A top mounted gas piston would also have disallowed the use of charger feeding without interesting mechanical contortions to allow it. The bolt was lengthened and made more robust to remain reliable even under automatic fire. The receiver was redesigned to accommodate this new bolt and new magazines were manufactured with backward compatibility. Unfortunately, this necessary change resulted in the inability for parts to be interchanged aside from smaller parts even if it did result in a better rifle. Needless to say, the rifle went into production just in time to be issued to Expansite forces and some quantities being sent to the allied Izistani forces. Variants of the No. 7 have been developed over the years for different purposes but the rifle at its heart remains the same and harkens back to the older days of riflemen jerking their fouled bolts open by hand only to ram a fresh cartridge forward in the heat of battle.
---
The Lee-Nordenfeldt No. 7 rifle is a gas operated, semi-automatic or automatic magazine fed rifle. The sliding bolt has one large locking lug on the upper forward part that locks into a wide cut in the roof of the receiver just in front of the chamber. At the moment of firing, the striker is released and moves forward under the pressure of the striker spring, impacting the primer and firing the cartridge.. The slug speeds down the barrel passing the gas port in the right side of the barrel, this allows gas to escape into the forward part of the horizontal gas piston alongside the barrel. The piston is immediately forced to the rear compressing the return spring in the base of the piston tube; this action impinges on the bolt carrier drawing it rearward. A large claw machined into the bolt carrier engages the bottom of the spring-tensioned vertical locking lug rotating it downward and clear of the locking recess. A groove on the forward part of the lug engages the rim of the spent casing pulling it free from the chamber and holding it against the bolt face until it is ejected by the spring loaded ejector/bolt stop just rearward of the magazine in the floor of the receiver. At this point, the compressed main spring behind the piston moves forward pulling the bolt with it once more stripping a cartridge from the magazine and loading it into the chamber, ready for firing. In the same motion, the rear striker is cocked and held in place by the main sear until such a time as the trigger is pulled.
Feeding is accomplished from a durable, yet cheap, sheet steel detachable box magazine below the receiver and in front of the trigger guard. Each magazine holds twenty rounds of the standard issue cartridge but can be topped off at any time while in the rifle either through chargers of five rounds each or singly through manual loading. There is also a 45 round drum magazine available for squad automatic rifle roles. The safety for the rifle is located on the left side of the receiver just forward of the semi-pistol grip in an easy position for the thumb to find and operate even under stressful conditions. This also gives the rifleman a positive feel in the dark for the rifle's state of readiness as well as being quick to bring into action by pushing forward. An alternative trigger grouping allows for automatic fire using the lever as both a selector and safety which can be positioned in the traditional upward direction or downward in case of a pistol grip and stock being installed.
Sights are of the diopter type with two flip settings, one for low-light combat situations requiring quick shooting and one more precise for long range fire. The older ladder type sight has been replaced by one with a sliding base and adjustment available for windage via a small knob to the side. This sighting system has proven to be more durable than the older ladder type and less sensitive to fouling from the environment.
While each rifle's stock still consists of two pieces of the resilient sandalwood, more modern stock options are available and widely used in the form of a more straight-line butt and separate pistol grip allowing for better recoil control. These three piece stocks are usually made from durable polymer in black or grey colors. Provision for a sling and bayonet is made in the steel muzzle cap covering the head of the forestock making the rifle very durable for melee fighting and general use. Unusually, the rifle does away with the normal wooden upper handguard in preference for a ventilated heat shield of black-coated steel. As with the No. 2 rifles, the black metal ventilated handguard of the rifle
was retained and thus these rifles still were known to the world as “black flutes” and shared their name with the elite Special Air Service of The Northern Expanse who persisted in their use through the many attempts to rearm these stubborn riflemen.

RMI Mk. 1 Four-Centimeter - Hand Grenade
Diameter: 40mm
Weight: 226g (8 oz)
Lethal Radius: 10 m (fragmentation model)
Detonator: Pyrotechnic delay fuse 3-5 seconds (variable in manufacturing)
Explosive: Poured HE
Cost: $25
The Mk.1 4CHG was designed to be perfectly round and compact so that it could be rolled toward a target around a corner without the risk of it stopping short and having a predictable path. It can also be bounced off of a wall due to the casing's plastic nature to make it ricochet around a corner. The detonator is of the standard spoon and pin type. The casing is a hard polymer that on detonation creates burning molten fragments that stick to things or potentially lethal shards. The outer casing has a spiral groove manufactured into it so that if desired, notched steel wire can be wound around it at the factory or small steel spheres affixed to the grooves in variable layers. These grenades are the size of a golf ball allowing the user to carry more and employ them in a wider variety of situations where a larger hand grenade would be inappropriate.

The Type 97 (Chinese: 97式強大步槍; pinyin: 97 shì Qiángdà Bùqiāng), designed by the Rao Arms Complex, was a candidate to replace the Type 75 as the service rifle of the Jeunese military.
[Design]
The Type 97 was a selective-fire automatic rifle, using a conventional short-stroke piston, keeping the rifle relatively clean. The Type 97 uses a gas-operated rotating bolt with gas deflection, and can achieve a maximum rate of fire of 720 rounds per minute.
The rifle had an electric firing device for use with its quasi-caseless ammunition, and a three-position ambidextrous trigger group fire selector, including safety, single-round and automatic fire modes. The trigger group can be replaced with another burst-fire mode, as it was sometimes used in Western militaries. The ammunition, the 7×50mm KWDY round, uses a system similar to the Benelli CB M2 SMG, utilizing a circular-shaped hollow block to hold the round in place within the chamber. When fired, the block exits the barrel along with the round, and splits in two along perforated lines like a sabot. The Type 97 uses transparent plastic double-stacked 400-gram curved box magazines. The rifle uses a birdcage-type flash suppressor, similar to the device on the SIG SG 550. A reinforced lug was included, for use with a 18-centimeter bayonet. The rifle was also compatible with the Type 85 rifle grenade launcher (85枪榴弹发器开; 85 Qiangliudan Fasheqi).
The overall length of the Type 97 totals 780 mm, with a barrel 562 mm long, weighing 2.5 kg empty. A significant portion of both the rifle's receiver and stock was carbon fiber-reinforced polymer. The rifle can be field-stripped without tools, using a system of cross-pins.
The rifle was equipped by default with iron sights, but may also be equipped with holographic sights or telescopic zoom sights for designated marksman use.
Eventually, upon the purchase of the Rao Arms Complex by the Kazansky Heavy Industries Corporation, the rifle was entered into export production by the Allaneans. Because KHI cooperates with Allanean Arms on export matters, KHI products can be ordered through the Allanean Arms storefront site.

The QSZ-94 service pistol (Chinese: 94式手槍; pinyin: jiǔ sì shí Shoǔqiàng; literally 'Pistol Type 94') is a semi-automatic pistol designed by Rao Arms.
[Development and design]
The QSZ-94's development was first started circa 1993, as a project to design a domestic service pistol to replace the standard American M1991. Constructed of high-impact plastic grip, all-steel frame, slide and steel barrel, the QSZ-94 was primarily intended to be easy on the wrist. The shape of the QSZ-94 is intended to provide a smooth draw from anywhere on the body, since it is also intended to be used by intelligence forces or civilians, who would need to conceal the pistol in locations where skin and clothing could be torn by harsher angles. This was also the reason that the guttersnipe sight was chosen, since it would provide the least chance of snag of firearm sights (this also has a significant advantage in that it is reflexive to aim).
The QSZ-94 uses an internal striker, rather than an external hammer, with a white-marked striker tip that protrudes when the gun is cocked. The QSZ-94 uses tool-less disassembly, a de-cocking button and an ambidextrous magazine release. The sights are adjustable for elevation. There is an accessory rail included on the pistol, for use with laser sights or flashlights. The safety on the QSZ-94 functions as a firing pin lock and as a trigger lock. To minimize the chances of an accidental misfire, the QSZ-94 incorporates a further safety measure: when the striker is cocked, it engages an internal safety, which unless deactivated by pressing the trigger will block the chamber and keep the striker from hitting the primer. The QSZ-94 is normally a double-action-only pistol, but can be ordered in a version with only double-action initial. To unchamber a round without firing it, the operator presses the de-cocking button and runs the slide back, opening the chamber and ejecting the round. The operator will then need to press the de-cocking button once more.
The QSZ-94 is available in two versions: one is chambered for the 9 x 19mm Luger-Parabellum ammunition (QSZ-94-9), and another is chambered for the Jeunese 10 mm armor-piercing ammunition (QSZ-94-10).
Upon the purchase of the Rao Arms Complex by the Kazansky Heavy Industries Corporation, the rifle was entered into export production by the Allaneans. Because KHI cooperates with Allanean Arms on export matters, KHI products can be ordered through the Allanean Arms storefront site.

The Type 03 battle rifle (Chinese: 03式強大步槍 【簡稱03式】; pinyin: 03 shì Qiángdà Bùqiāng), also known infrequently as the T03, is a battle rifle manufactured by Rao Arms of Tieshan, Jeuna. The rifle is based on the EM-2, and is the standard service rifle of the Jeunese military.
[History]
In 1999, the Jeunese Army contrived requirements for a weapon to replace the Type 97 battle rifle, which had been intended to replace the Type 75 and Type 96. Stress was laid upon reliability, simplicity and ruggedness. Another aim was to reduce the felt recoil, which had been a complaint with many Jeunese soldiers. The candidates were narrowed down to the QSY-65 by Rao Arms (designed by Rao to work with 7×43mm cartridges) and the WBZ.F38 (developed by LJT in 5.56×45mm). In 2003, the QSY-63 was chosen for the 7×43 mm cartridge's superior ballistics. In March 2004, the adoption of the rifle was publicly announced, where it received its official service designation of Type 03. Over 700,000 rifles have been manufactured since then, and production continues as of 2008.
[Design]
The Type 03 is a gas-operated, magazine-fed, select-fire, bullpup assault rifle, of modular design. Originally derived from the earlier Type 97, the Type 03 has a longer receiver allowing for a longer bolt travel and thus reduced felt recoil. The weapon's short-stroke gas piston is located above the barrel and is operated by means of a self-venting gas block that regulates the gas tube's pressure, releasing excess gas as needed. The Type 03 fires from an open breach, decreasing the possibility of a round cooking off in the chamber and improving weapon control when firing on automatic. Though specific configurations of this rifle may be set for left or right-handed users the following description will refer solely to the latter for the sake of conciseness.
The weapon is readied by pulling back on the cocking handle, which is rigidly attached to the gas rod on the right side. Once the bolt is locked back, pulling the trigger releases the bolt carrier to ride forward and strip, and then chamber a round from the top of the magazine. Once the bolt carrier comes to a stop against the chamber, the firing pin rides forward and forces two horizontally opposed flaps outwards from the bolt carrier into two recesses in the walls of the receiver, locking the bolt in place and sealing the chamber. Having pushed the flaps out of the way, the firing pin passes through an opening in the bolt face and strikes the cartridge's primer. This differs from the earlier Type 97, which used a bulky and complicated electrical ignition system. The round then continues on its way down the barrel, as the self-regulating gas block taps some of the resulting gas to drive the gas piston rearward. The gas piston actions on the firing pin and forces it to the rear of the bolt carrier, allowing the locking flaps to be forced from their recesses unlocking the bolt, and driving the bolt carrier back against the recoil spring. The braided stainless steel recoil spring compresses as the bolt rides back within the receiver on two internal milled rails. On the bottom of the receiver a stud trips the ejector bar, located to the bottom and left side of the bolt, throwing the expended round free as the bolt begins to decelerate. With sufficient internal length in the weapon's receiver, the Type 03 has very low felt recoil and is suitably controllable in bursts with proper training. Once set back the weapon is free to restart the firing cycle.
The weapon's four-position selector switch which is located just behind and above the trigger guard, this has a wide ‘paddle style’ switch which gives excellent control even while wearing gloves or under stress. The four positions are fairly straightforward and instead of using pictographs are represented by a letter or number as below.
S – Safe, the ’S’ like the rest of the positions is engraved into the receiver then filled with white reflective enamel so as to make it more easily recognized in low light in battle conditions.
1 – Single shot or Semi-Automatic
3 – Three-round Burst
A – Automatic
The barrel of the Type 03 is longer than its predecessor, improving the round efficiency and muzzle velocity. The cold hammer forged barrel is chrome-plated and achieves significantly less barrel wear, extending barrel life over 40% longer than the Type 97. Complimenting its low felt recoil, the Type 03 uses a bird-cage style flash-suppressor/compensator to redirect a portion of the muzzle energy upwards to counter the weapons natural barrel climb when fired. Complimenting its aggressive compensator is an under-slung bayonet lug, which was designed to mount the Type 25 bayonet, named for its aggressive 25.5 cm blade: a fearsome attachment to a capable rifle. The Type 03 is fed by a 30-round translucent magazine made of high-strength polymer, though it is capable of accepting any STANAG-type magazine, including drums. The standard translucent magazines use a ‘Stud and Catch’ to allow for multiple magazines to be attached to each other, and allow for proper stand-off to for each to individually fit in the magazine well.
Furniture for the Type 03 is made from glass-fiber reinforced Zytel polymer, the receiver is made from stamped steel, and is fitted with a butt plate of soft rubber molded around a metal reinforcing plate. Iron sights consist of a fixed front sight and folding rear sight. The protected front post sight is attached to the barrel and is adjustable for elevation, and a small tritium insert improves sight acquisition in low light and makes the weapon faster on target in daylight. The folding rear sight is attached via its pivot pin to the carrying handle, which is fitted with a M1913 specification rail for mounting almost any optical, or electro-optical sight in the world. The rear folding aperture sight is designed to be set high on the rail, allowing its use in an emergency through most modern optical gun sights without its removal. The rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation without tools, and retains its zero even while folded against the receiver. The Type 03 has M1913 Picatinny rails on the receiver top, sides and barrel underside. The Type 03 is compatible with the Type 85 40 mm grenade launcher to serve as squad-level fire support.
[Production and operators]
In 2002, the Jeunese Army ordered some eight hundred thousand rifles as a force-wide battle rifle replacement after the trial run in the 43rd Mountain Division's service, with a delivery schedule from 2003 to 2009.
In 2003, the Jeunese Republican Guard ordered 23,518 rifles to equip its soldiers. By 2006, the entire Republican Guard had converted to the Type 03.

The AA-44 is a derivative off of the 'Illioran Arms KL-44, updated with a set of Allanean avionics and weaponry. After the fall of Illior, Allanean Arms inherited many of the legacy Illioran Arms designs (OOC: The player left NS and passed the designs on to me, and I elaborated heavily on the design). Like the Allanean Arms Soulharvester UCAV, this device is equipped with a target identification and selection computer, enabling it to have a limited degree of field autonomy (although accidental acquiring of targets is still possible.
The computer itself is uplinked to its central facilities via the Allanean standard 'Palantir' system, combining the functions of equipment such such as HF SSB (High Frequency-Single Side Band), VHF/UHF, SINCGARS, Have Quick, EJS, JTIDS, and other facilities, and is capable with realtime cooperation with ground units.
It is equipped with a millimetric wave fire control RADAR (optimal range 34 kilometers) installed in a compact radome above the main rotors, FLIR and optical imaging sensors. At altitudes below 200 meters it also utilizes a carrier-free RADAR scanner to detect enemy forces, up to and including being able to scan through the very roofs of projected enemy facilities.

Torrent-class Arsenal Ship
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v63/Chlevenkov/Torrent-class.jpg
Some military analysts say that the arsenal ship is the path naval warfare is taking; impersonal strikes from tens if not hundreds of miles away, en masse with missiles. The arsenal ship is a behemoth of a ship, hauling hundreds of surface to surface, surface to air, and anti-shipping missiles in her expansive interior. She carries a capability no other ship has... The capability to bring a nation to its knees within minutes. The Torrent-class arsenal ship can accomplish that quite proficiently, being able to lob well over a thousand missiles at a target(s). A thousand cruise missiles or surface-to-surface missiles will do plenty of damage to an opponent, as would a debilitating strike on an enemy fleet, courtesy of the anti-shipping missiles this ship can hold. The Torrent-class holds true to her name, having the ability to release the unstoppable torrents of missiles that will strike fear into any nation's leadership.
Armament
Like most other arsenal ships, the Torrent-class carries hundreds of VLS tubes, more on the order of 1300 VLS tubes.
However, unlike most arsenal ships, the Torrent-class carries a few other armament systems, which are listed below...
2x 8" SB-GMA-80 ETC Guns (medium range shore bombardment)
4x SB-MMA-12 eight missile SAM rotary platform, networked with CIWS and the Jericho system.
18x SB-GMC-150 CIWS systems (Six are mounted with the Jericho system's laser mounts)
The Torrent-class, with its 1300 VLS tubes can fire anything from anti-shipping missiles to cruise missiles and from unguided or guided surface to surface missiles to surface to air missiles. It can carry any combination of those as well as ballistic missiles (if one VLS 'pack' of 100 missiles is removed and replaced with a different system allowing their launch). The 1300 VLS tubes are divided up into 13 SB-VLM-100 vertical launch sub-systems. Six of those are located aft of the small deck-level conning station. The other seven are located forward of the conning station, two rows of three with a seventh towards the bow. CIWS systems are located all along the ship and can be retracted into the ship's superstructure. The two 8 inch guns are located one gun aft and one gun near the bow, both guns are able to be retracted below deck. The four SB-MMA-12 SAM systems are located two forward and two aft, both are retractable.
Also, in addition to the weapons mentioned above, the Torrent-class has a helicopter or VTOL landing pad and can accomodate up to four helicopters or VTOL aircraft in a hangar located at the rear of the conning station.
Ship Design
The ship was designed to provide maximum firepower while still providing a stealthy design. The decision was made to go with a long and slightly slender design, low to the water. She was also given double hulls and extensive side and top armor. She also has little to no structure to the top, except the small conning station (and, if all weapons are raised, CIWS and the guns). She was also designed to slip through the water effortlessly, reducing wake as well as noise generated.
Another design feature of the Torrent-class is her ability to be submerged. She has lines of flood-able compartments and ballast tanks lining her underside and sides, meaning, she can submerge herself as well as propel herself underwater and speeds up to 10 knots (maximum speed). Her depth is limited, however, to 200 feet.
Stealth
To create as small of a target as possible, the Torrent-class was built to be stealthy. Her low stature in the water, he relatively thin beam, and the absence of antennae and other structures on her deck adds to her stealthiness. Her hull is also coated in radar absorbant material and all of her gun mounts (CIWS and 8" cannons) as well as her SAM mounts can be retracted.
She also has the ability to be submerged (stated above), meaning she can submerge a few compartments to where she's just above the water and then unleash hell on some enemy (firing hundreds of missiles), then quickly dropping below the waves...
Armor
The Torrent-class uses a heavy layer of hardened titanium for the outer layer, followed by a layer of honeycombed aluminum followed by another layer of hardened titanium. Beyond that is an extensive layer of ceramics (with kevlar fiber) followed by kevlar-reinforced steel. A layer of super-dense plastic follows that. And the final layer is a 150mm plate of steel for catching any fragments and preventing them from reaching the internal area of the ship.
Armor thickness:
Belt: 970mm
Deck: 450mm (basically the same as the rest of the hull only thinner)
Conning station: 600mm (same as hull, only thinner)
Sensors, Radar, Systems, etc.
AMRQ-S4 Fleet Radar System-
AMRQ-R77 Fleet Three Dimensional Radar- The AMRQ-R77 is the most advanced 3D radar in the ARSB inventory, capable of finding and tracking targets as they appear over the horizon. The AMRQ-R77 is run by the ASQ-S13 radar management system, giving it the ability to cycle through dozens of frequencies in one minute, making this a system incredibly hard to jam.
AMRQ-M90 Fleet Multi-Function Radar- The AMRQ-M90 is a medium range, multi-frequency multi-function radar, capable of detecting surface and aerial threats.
AMRQ-R87 S-Band Solid State Search Radar- The AMRQ-R87 is a medium to long-range solid state search radar, capable of locating and tracking hundreds of airborne objects.
AMRQ-V10 Volume Search Radar
AJRQ-J31 Active Jamming/Deception
ANRL-U14 ESM
ALQ-S14 Laser Network System (laser systems in the CIWS mounts, used for tracking and designating aircraft)
The second portion of the laser system is a series of 'nodes' which are basically composed of the same tracking systems found on laser-guided bombs. These 'nodes' pick up the laser beams and find their targets, cross-referencing that data with satellite, radar, and infrared data to come up with coordinates, which are then sent to the Jericho system's main hub, which then distributes that information to the missiles as they are in flight with periodic updates to target.
The IRSQ-I40 is an all-around infrared targetting system, taking a real-time view of the sky and converting into a picture. Its computer system targets objects emitting heat after the computer quickly runs through a database and compares it to other heat signatures, confirming it is a fighter, bomber, transport, etc.
The ISTQ-I76 is an infrared search and track, which uses the IRSQ-I40 as a base and combines it with another infrared reciever, which locates and tracks thermal signatures from extreme ranges.
TCQ-S90 is the fire control system, using all the above data in computing and preparing targets for engagement.
ALMRS/TTAC-90Mk. II is the system that connects all of this to the ARSB Defensive Network, meaning it can use any sensory data from any ARSB unit across the planet in targetting and firing upon enemy units or structures.
Survivability
Multiple functions are present in the Torrent-class that give her unrivaled survivability... They include:
-Double hull

"To each according to his ability, from each according to his desire to give."
Greetings to our esteemed comrades in Allanea! With the end of the Second Empire of Fluffywuffy, the armed forces have deteriorated for years. With no advances in technology, training, or equipment, the fighting forces that once brought fear to many an enemy now have become a laughing stock, forced to prostitute out their dignity in parades to appease enemies. With this in mind, the newly formed Third Empire of Fluffywuffy now seeks to order weapons to restore the glory of the Imperial military. We have turned to your armaments, our friends, because we have fought beside your soldiers before. We know the spirit of your people, their ingenuity, and we trust that spirit of resourcefulness and ingenuity to protect our own soldiers under our own command.
With that in mind, the Imperial Ministry for Defense has lodged the following order with the Allanean Arms Corporation:
120,000 x Broadsword-Tizona R.95U Tanks
256,000 x Arica I Shalmanesar Armoured Personnel Carrier
This comes to a total of $1,263,200,000,000.00, which the Imperial Ministry of Defense shall gladly pay. Once confirmation of our order has been made, the Ministry shall commit its funds and reorganize its budget in order to afford this massive purchase.
Signed
Zachary Stewart
Minister for Defense
(OOC: Please note that not all of these vehicles are for the purposes of the military deploying them. They are also for strategic reserves for when vehicles are destroyed in the course of war. Plus, I haven't played around with my ORBAT and come up with a reasonable amount of troops/tanks/stuff yet.)
Official Reply from Allanean Arms
Dear Mr. Stewart!
We are happy to produce these vehicles for the Third Empire of Fluffywuffy. Even as we speak, production of the new vehicles is commencing throughout New Bavaria, with workplaces revitalized and the economy boosted by this new consumption of our vehicles. We will begin rearmament of your military within this year, and will also deploy a force of 15,000 instructors to help your personnel to acclimate themselves to the use of our new vehicles and train a core of Fluffywuffian troops qualified in the use of the Tizona and the Shalmanesar, from whom the training expertise can percolate to the rest of your forces.
Sincerely yours,
Kevin Nivensky,
CEO, Allanean Arms

The Emperor is delighted at your acceptance of our offer, and is even more delighted at the suggestion of Allanean training of our forces. He has, because of this savor, delivered a jewel-encrusted sabre as a gift to the Allanean Arms Corporation. The Ministry of Defense has wired the money. We look forward to further business in the future.

This is he end of SSBN deployment in Allanea as such, and we will be looking to Allanean Arms, Kazansky Heavy Industries, and several foreign suppliers to meet the needs of the Navy for other types of vessels to fill any resulting gap.
