Roma V. Full Name "The Republic of Roma V"

United Nation's Nation Summary:The Republic of Roma V is a tiny, pleasant nation, remarkable for its burgeoning stallion population. Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 6 million are known throughout the region for their efficiency and work ethic, as well as their general suspicion of leisure.

The large, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Healthcare, and Social Welfare. The average income tax rate is 26%. A substantial private sector is led by the Gambling industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Woodchip Exports.

Crime is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Roma V's national animal is the stallion and its currency is the denarius.

Nation's Motto: "Ense et aratro", "With sword and plow"

Nation's History: In 2003 general Rothaeus Queaus of the Italian Republic's military led a revolt in the city of Rome with the intention to rebuild the ancient Republic of Rome. The revolt was a long and bloody one but Rothaeus' military connections allowed him to not only outdo the army's strategy's but arm his revolution with stolen weaponry and vehicles. After 2 years of fighting diplomatic talks between Rothaeus and the President of the Italian Republic led to the agreement that the city of Rome would be surrendered to Rothaeus for him to establish his foreign government. 3 years into his term as Emperor of Roma V Rothaeus' Republic roughly based on that of the ancient Roman Republic was flourishing. It has gone somewhat unnoticed however by the other nation's of the world because of its small size not only border-wise but population-wise as well. Emperor Rothaeus hopes for that all to change in the coming years.

OOC: Well good thing though otherwise there would have been a conflict of histories being both of our nations would be based in Rome lol. But anyway, I have noticed the concept of Rome and such has been tossed around quite loosely on NS. Thank you for the welcome!
