AURORA-Lady Schala of the Island State of Stilleståndö has announced to the Royal Government she is formally resigning as leader. Having survived multiple assasination attempts and a major war most agree she has earned a well deserved break.

"I wish the best to all my fellow rulers of their respected islands." However not before she enacts what is been dubed "The Schala Accord." For the first time in the Island's History Schala is calling for a democratic election to change the leader over. "I understand we are united under a Federal Monarch, but I expect Lady Shino to understand the value of state rights and sovereignty. A democratic election is what the island needs after long turmoil."

Stilleståndö has been a communist satalite for the last few decades. On the verge of ending all absolute rule over the island however, the Previous King was assassinated and the island was plunged into war with it's neighbors. Now barley a year after the war and truce Stilleståndö will have it's first democratic election. Everyone who has reached rightful man and womanhood and is literate will be able to run for the position.

Leadership from all over Mokastana congratulates the success of democracy in AHSCA, and will donate 100 million Gold Labors for the assurance of peace.

AURORA-In the resignation of Schala leaving in still a time of great uncertainty for the island chain, Shino has firmly stated she agrees with Schala's position and will allow for democratic elections to occur on Stilleståndö. Shino has also given full authority to allow Stilleståndö to hold a democratic election. The other islands will not be required to do the same.

On Aurora the power is passed on by generation. Hoshino has no set system in place since Marco and his wife Aya took the position after the war. Corona choses on the basis of merit and a difficult physical and emotional test. And on Animalpolis the ruler may chose who will succeed him/her or be challenged to a duel. However it has only happened once. The other leaders don't share Schala's enthusiasm for it, however. "I think she's just plain crazy." Haruhi of Animalpolis said. "I do wonder if it could work." Ayla Turell said. Aya and Marco declined to comment.

The process of choosing candidates will begin on Monday.
