The American Privateer is a large nation, on the Indus Sub-Continent. There are seven states on the subcontinent. Tortuga, located on the southern coast of the Tortuga Sea, is the richest state in the nation, and the home of the capital of New Tortuga and Port San Lucas. On the opposite shore is Quivira State, home of the Quivira Mountains, and the most heavy metal rich state in the country. Na Nex Sa, the central state, is home to a vast, rolling plain, and is the most fertile land in the country. Na Nex Sa is also the breadbasket of the country. New Virginia, located on the Eastern Coast, is home to most of the nation's industry, and the NOVA Corporation. York is the State located to the north of Virginia, and is home to major forestry and ship building industries. The other two states, Orleans and Shiloh, are home to the rival electronics industries.

The East and North are very mountainous, though the Eastern part is less so. An extensive cave network runs through the continent, and has been artificially expanded to run from a central, massive cave under Na Nex Sa and out to the Tortuga Sea. The States of Tortuga, Na Nex Sa, and Shiloh are smoother plains, with Shiloh being a moist grasslands. Orleans is primarily swamp land, as the vast majority of rivers run to the bayous and swamps of Orleans.

The climate is dry in most of the nation, though the South and Southwest are wetter. There are two seasons, Dry, and Wet. November through March is Wet, and May through September are Dry. The summers are in the area of the 90's for most of the country, while the winters can dip down to the 40's or 50's on average in the center, and the 60's on the coasts.

Recoil would be ungodly. A round that size with in full auto would leave your soldiers shoulders cracked. Even if you have supersoldiers that can handle it they'd only be able fire in short burst to keep the barrel from rising. (And yes I know you cut and paste the battle rifle stats from halo.)
