(OOC: This thread is CLOSED to new participants. But PLEASE follow along, as if you were watching on TV in your nation...)

This is the port town of Aridor (http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h52/nx9100/map2.jpg), located in Norther Delkor. For the past 300 years, this place has been the center for any and all fishing in the Eriador Sea. It is a hard life, as the icy waves can instantly tip a boat or pust it against the rocks. Many have lost their lives in the quest for wealth among the waves, and some have succeded. Over the next few weeks, YOU will be a member of the crew, setting the traps, and joinging the search for the Deadliest Catch...

Tied to a pier in Aridor Harbor is the crab boat Theoden's Pride. Her owner, Markonus, is a 45-year veteran, having spent his entire life on the seas. After growing up on his father's boat, he saved up enough money to purchase the Pride, and after 30 years, is still sailing her. This season, his twin sons will be joining the crew for the first time. Markasis and Thiodan, both 18 years old, are already on the deck stowing the 230 pots used for catching Opilio crab. Markonus is watching from the wheelhouse. "They were really excited this morning," says Markonus. "Both got up before me, and were already at the dock by the time I arrived. Their mother is another matter," he shakes his head. "She's convinced that something's going to happen to all three of us." The boys continue stacking the pots while the rest of the crew arives. First to board is Damli, the deck boss. Another veteran, Damli has been fishing for 41 years, and is a long-time friend to Markonus. He is followed by the two deckhands, Delious and Palat. Delious has been on the crew for the past 7 years, Palat 3 years. Markonus waves to them. "These guys are the best. We've seen good and bad seasons together, but always pull through."

The Fego'nia bobs on he undulating sea, with all currently calm. The crew of 8, led by Captain Yu'las Kla'nasoi, have been following the migration of the Los'vi herring across the seas to this area, where the fish shoals group in the coastal waters filled with algal blooms, before returning to the North Fegosian sea to breed in the harsh currents, where few predators dare attempt to find their young.

At the moment, the captain is plotting the route on a map, while his 1st Mate checks through the ship manifest. Soon, they will be setting out into the dangerous waters of this area, ready to snare their elusive prize that will net them a fortune.

"I have sailed the Fego'nia for 15 years, and I reckon I've had enough experience in the dangerous waters of the Los'Vi islands to keep my crew safe. I have never had a man die under my command, even amongst freak waves, hurricanes and the maelstroms of the island chain, and intend to keep it that way." The captain speaks to the cameraman having put away his geometric equipment, before looking at the time.

"We will be going soon. Hopefully you have everything onboard you'll need: we're going to be out for at least two weeks."
