The Peoples Freedom

It had been two years since the war in Nova Europa had come to the close and a year since the end of war in the Northern Peoples Collective. The war had many changes in regard to Prussian culture and political status. TPF had come very close to complete social and economic collapse; this had only narrowly been avoided by the successful resource plunder of the NPC.

However TPF was -at least in the legal sense- a democracy, a democracy which at least most of the time, answered to the people. Naturally the people were not happy with the leaders and especially the old Prussian Aristocracy The people saw them as corrupt old men who waged power struggles for their own wealth and benefit. Significantly this was mostly true, and the old guard needed a way to keep power against the growing liberal student movement.

Thus they turned to their old friend and ally: Communism. Prussians were among the most anti-communist people in the planet due to the Armageddon War in which a full 35% of the population was killed in a communist invasion. Thus for over sixty years TPF had not forgotten this and had not lost sight of this hate that burned in even the young students. As always a good way to distract the populace at home was to start a war.

Prussians were well versed in knowledge of the communist alliance of the Sons of Lenin, having completely dominated the nation of NC two times. It was thus easy for the corrupt Aristocracy to marshal the people of TPF for war once again, along with the promise of new land and resources for the ever starving population.

Remembrance Society HQ

Perhaps one of the foremost power groups that had led TPF to war with the Communists of the SOL was the Remembrance Society which was also known as the RS. RS was the largest anti-communist bloc in the post-war landscape of TPF, with well over four hundred million members and substantial coffers to use in the lobbying of the Peoples Assembly and the Senate. Indeed often it was the case that a senator or assemblyman could not be elected without approval of this Society, unless you were lucky and were in a district where they were not a major force. This was unlikely however as this only applied to one in ten districts.

At HQ today in the Twenty-First District there were more than twenty thousand protesters preparing to march down Main Street and towards the Congress Dome. They would be just one of many marching down the streets of Liberty City, over two hundred thousand anti-communists were expected to meet at Patriot Square and demand action against the Communists in SOL.

The media was a large part in preparing the people's minds for war. Much like many conflicts in the twenty-first century, the war was proceeded with intense coverage and analysis that may or may not have been accurate. What was clear to many people who bothered to look, especially the liberal students, was that the news channels and websites were all plastered with the Corporate logos of Media Conglomerates that were supported by RS and other staunch anti-communist groups. The media was able of the course of several months to turn populist opinion against SOL and support the Congress in their push for war.

In addition TPFian society was a military based society, one based on thousands of years of the warrior tradition. Fueled by unspeakable events the military had become a almost mythical and god-like political force. In fact it was considered the most honorable thing to be a warrior and dying in battle brought your family so much respect that they would be taken care by the thousands of military charities for life. Unfortunately while the lower echelons of Prussian officers were also becoming more liberal minded, the higher echelons remained of the staunchly anti-communist Prussian Aristocracy. As such the military fully supported the cause of the Senate and the anti-communists even though they were the only political bloc that could stop them.

It was from all these unfortunate factors that the populace was tricked once again into supporting the old Aristocracy and throwing themselves into a war which could likely last many months or years without any real reason.


Tenth Fleet


For this task a very large force had been assembled for the invasion of Greal which would be the first target of many in the region. Greal was one of the stronger members of SOL and thus was considered by High Command to be the largest threat and really the only major threat. The plan was to land over one million troops on the western coast of Greal, where the flat plains allowed for easy landings and mass armor movements that was TPF's doctrine. Tenth Fleet was one of six fleets traveling the seas to invade Greal and with it they carried over two million men along with eight hundred or so ships for the initial assault. These troops were just a small portion of the total amount that had been dedicated to the invasion, more than six million troopers had been committed along with hundreds of thousands of vehicles and tanks and aircraft.

Admiral Grosseland was commander of the Tenth Fleet and they were now just a mere three days from Greal. Soon they would be within range of enemy aircraft and possibly fleets that may be moving towards them, so Grosseland had to be on full alert for the upcoming battle. As always the powerful Seagull AWACS aircraft kept a watchful lookout for enemy aircraft and ships while the powerful radars of the Town-class Air Defense cruisers also assisted. CAP patrols flew overhead protecting the armada from any surprise enemy attack.

Somewhere in the middle of the ocean......

Admiral Pete Hera kept his watch on the sea, his ships were Storm Class Cruisers bought by the Greal navy from DMG, the flagship was called the Fisher. His fleet has left Womer port 3 days ago, and he was heading to another part of SOL, using a farther way. The first stop was Merter. His crew was happy that the fleet was posted nowhere near a war zone. His fleet had around 5 Storm Cruisers.

The Admiral was in a bad mood. He had seen combat a few times, but blowing up rebel patrol boats wasn't exactly combat in his mind. But, he was ordered to go to Merter, where he would spend for about a week, then his fleet would go to North Calaveras.

Admiral Hera went onto the deck, it was raining pretty badly due to a hurricane nearby. Captain Hera predicted that the Fisher would have to move around the hurricane, though that would delay the trip to Merter. He maneuvered the ship away from the hurricane toward a enemy fleet, though he had no idea of the fleet.............

Shortly after the news of invasion reached Vetalian officials, a secret communique was dispatched to the TPF government. Its red and yellow Vetalian crest marked it as a statement from the General Government of Vetalian Calaveras, authorized with various other stamps and forms from upper levels of the Vetalian government.

Within were various maps and other information regarding the territory of Melnikova, which lay in the northernmost province of North Calaveras.

The Vetalian government hereby grants the TPF forces the right to use and deploy forces in Vetalian Calaveras for operations against the Sons of Lenin. We will allow full movement of troops, ships, supplies, and equipment through this territory, and our forces will assume defensive positions to ensure your transport is not interdicted within our sphere of influence.

Already, 350,000 of our Colonial Army troops and one naval group, including the flagship dreadnought MVRS Ivan Melnikov, are in the area, and will soon be joined by an additional deployment of 400,000 troops and another naval group, including the newly built dreadnought MVRS Sevastopol. These forces will be fully equipped for military action, and our forces already in place have received orders to begin preparations against any potential threats to this colony or the 29 million citizens that inhabit it.

Consider this an official declaration of defensive support for your military operation. Should we judge additional commitment necessary to ensure the success of your operations, we will make preparations for further military action.

Womer Military headquarters

Apparently, Greal satellites picked up the TPF force, the General of the armies almost panicked when he heard about that. He ordered a meeting that night (3 days before the enemy fleet arrived.) at the 2nd biggest military headquarters in Greal. This was a serious matter for the Greal army.

"Sir, what do we do about the TPF fleets?"asked the air force general during the meeting.

"Well, we can't do anything about them. We might be able to assemble a naval fleet to challenge them."said General heart. A year before he had lead the Greal troops to stop the TPF forces from securing a beachhead on the eastern coast, no doubt that the TPF navy will head to the west this time. However, it depended where, there were a hundred ports on the western coast, and Womer port had the largest number of naval ships.

"Assemble a fleet? The TPF navy will be bigger then us."said the top admiral.

"We do have the advantage of being close to land."said General Heart."That way our aircraft could deal with them, or at least help them."

"What about land units?"asked the Defense minister, Jason Park.

"Well, we have 15 million men, we might have a million more men and a couple of million militia by the time the enemy secures a beach."said General Heart."We also have a large number of Lyran and Nakil tanks."

"Lets hope Greal survives."said one of the admirals in native Greal.

"I do hope so." replied General Heart

"Sir, there a a small force of cruisers near the enemy naval fleet."said the admiral."They will be wiped out, we tired to contact them, no success."

"Well, I do hope that the cruisers may at least delay the enemy fleet, we need more time to stop the enemy fleets."

" Sir, we have detected a small squadron of enemy cruises with our UAV's. No sign of a larger force." Said Commodore Weston.
" They will likely form up near their coastline, possibly within range of land-based missiles or planes... or that's I'd do in their situation." replied Grosseland.
" Shall we engage?"
" Yes, order some strike squadrons to engage them."

Captain Lockheart strapped himself into his M3F (http://z4.invisionfree.com/NSDraftroom/index.php?showtopic=542) naval strike bomber. His heart was pounding hard in his chest and sweat was already dripping off of his brown. It would be Lockheart's first combat mission and even if the enemy force was small, it didn't mean they weren't deadly all the same. Another M3F rocketed off the flight deck, white hot exhaust dissipated in the salt filled air. Lockheart was now the next to be catapulted off the electromagnetic deck, and he kept a close eye on the deck crew. The light turned green, and was pressed into the back his seat by powerful but invisible g forces. Soon he was off the deck, and the bright blue ocean was passing below him.

" Alpha-four, be alert for enemy fighter patrols. I don't care if they didn't see a carrier or not. After all they could have a carrier-cruiser. Out."
" This is Charlie-two..." said Lockheart. " We are almost in range."
" Understood Charlie-two, EW is on full power now."
" Understood, just ten seconds more until we enter range."
Soon, the three strike squadrons entered range, and each launched two MLSS-21 (http://z4.invisionfree.com/NSDraftroom/index.php?showtopic=1223) missiles at the enemy cruisers, they had two left for use if they somehow survived.

Merter was ready for war, but the Government of Merter was not interested in launching a war against a bigger foe. So the Merter military had to improvise, they sent 50,000 men to Greal, though they lacked numbers, they were well equipped with weapons of all types. The army would consider moving more troops into Greal if the mission is successful.

The Fisher quickly turned on its High Energy Liquid Laser Missile Defense system (Dr. Hell), and "knocked" down a missile heading toward the cruiser itself. The Loyalist begin listing after the damage of the missile ripped a small hole in the cruiser and the Fisher[/I narrowly escaped the missiles]. The V-22 Osprey that was on the cruiser was destroyed already, and the crew was running off. The [I]Rammer and the Warlord were damaged from the missiles and probably listing. The 5th cruiser, the Glemm was firing its four Firestorm Missile Launchers at the enemy bombers.

The Armada

Now, three enemy cruisers were still in fighting shape, at least one more was floating but was heavily damaged by the missile launch. Now, the armada prepared to finish off the enemy cruisers. Another 92 MLSS-21 missiles flew off the racks of the M3F's, and they turned around to heat home. In the unlikely case that the enemy managed to survive, the guided missile cruisers launched 12 Seaburn (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13249707&postcount=24) missiles.

Now it didn't matter, as Admiral Hera sent out a message to the Greal naval base, missiles were hitting the Fisher in large numbers. The Firestorm Missile Launchers were now used against the enemy missiles, but the missiles impacted on the Fisher, killing the majority of the crew. Admiral Hera, with his emergency raft and a couple of other crew members abandoned ship. The Loyalist sank with all hands, while the crew was singing the Greal "National Song". the Glemm was now heavily damaged, but still survived from all missile impacts since the Warlord took down some of the missiles heading toward the Glemm, but the Warlord sank also, leaving a few crew members in the shark infested waters. The Rammer also sank,.

Womer naval base

"Sir, the 5 storm cruisers have sent a message saying they are under attack, though the message is unfinished."said one of the aides that went into Admiral White.

"No time for grieving, the enemy naval ships are barely 3 days away from us. I have to get a naval fleet ready. Call up the Dragon Destroyers."said the admiral.

"Yes sir."said the aide, and without another word, he went down to the docks.

With a as much as a fifth of the fleet serving with the LION forces defending Vontanas aginst Kroando, a ships could still be sent, but not it could not match the numbers deployed by TPF. However, it would be made up for with the best. A considerable fleet was gathering in the Binarian Straits. Over six-hundred ships total, with almost a hundred transports that would deliver nine divisions inculding three aircav divisions to the Greal coast. Short of a million men would be landing, armed with the newest, advanced hardware to be issued to the troops so far. It wouldn't arrive for over a week. However, before they would arrive, lessons learned in recent months would be remeber dearly.

The latest, cheapest flying missile boxes were moving into launch postion. Nothing more than lead shielded boxes full of missiles, when they closed on their targets, doors opened and a dozen missiles launched at every Greal based satelitte in the Binarian banks. But not all of the satelittes opened, they instead kept traveling toward their targets at lower and lower altitudes. Soon they would take the final plunge and they would slam into targets all over Greal. Aimed at every airfield that could be seen from space, the thin shell would burn off in re-entry reveling the soild tungsten cores that could survive the stress and heat of re-entry.

We really need a OOC thread.

Landing on a carrier was a very risky and dangerous thing to do. The myriad risks involved were only multiplied during nighttime landings. In fact Lockheart had missed the first time, forcing him to refuel his plane before trying again. This time he succeeded. As he climbed down from his cockpit, he was greeting my smiles and slaps on the back at their first victory in the crusade. Lockheart's plane had been responsible for the sinking of at least one enemy cruiser and he felt good for doing his duty to TPF. The night was filled by a special meal and dessert prepared by the mess crew. Tomorrow, however, they would continue normal operations.

The Armada continued to steam towards the west coast of Greal. Planners continue to busy themselves with the invasion plans, which divisions would land where, how long the air assaults would be, who gets what. This was standard bickering, but it made a large difference in the actual invasion operations. Marines would be the spearhead, and with just over a day left until the assault, the Marines and Sailors braced themselves for a large amphibious campaign that would likely see many die.


State Department Communication
The Holy Reich is not yet decided on whether non-communist members will be targeted by our crusade. However, the nation of Zonigo is still in a military alliance with communists and thus allied with them. Because of this, we are afraid that we will not rule out attacks against your nation.

Red Tide and PeoplesFreedom relations had taken a small hit recently, during the Red Tidean crackdown on religion. But the two nations had to much history behind each other to simply toss all that work and relation building(some would call it friendship, although no one in the Red Tidean Intelligence Commissarat or the TSRT Military would admit that) out the window.

It was thus that Foreign Minister Vyacheslav Nerovich Gromkyo found himself sitting behind his desktop computer, casually typing up a decleration support which would mean the deaths of hundreds of thousands, possibly millions, of people.

A small price to pay, the Red Tidean bureaucracy reasoned, for the stripping of a nation. The Red Tidean entrance into the coming war went beyond simple support of allies, there was, and would always be, an ulterior motive. What Red Tide planned to do was occupy at least a section of Greal... and then strip it of anything that would be of use to the Red Tidean industrial, economic, and war machines.

That way, even if Red Tide would one day be forced to give up that land, it would still be able to get something out of it. It was plain and simple pillaging...

And it was with that the State Guard mobilised a Field Army and loaded it onto a transport convoy. It was with that the State Navy set sail a Dreadnought Battlegroup ahead of the convoy. And it was with that, the State Aeroforce prepared numerous aircraft to be moved to a potential airport in Greal.

Totalitarianism was coming... whether Greal and the TPF wanted it, or not.

Greal

As the missiles approached Greal airspace from space. Alarms went around Greal, this was not a surprise that space based missiles would attack Greal. Missile Launchers were ready and began firing at the enemy missiles coming down, despite Greal having lots of missile launchers ready for battle, some of these enemy missiles managed to blast some big Greal military airfields around Greal, killing hundreds and damaging or destroying a dozen planes. Some Greal satellites were destroyed in the chaos. Greal anti-satellite missiles were aimed at the enemy satellites and ready to fire if another attack happens.

Greal Womer Naval base

With the News of the Binarian and Red Tide fleets coming, the Greal navy panicked. They were simply too large enough to combat all at once, though, Greal's naval power, laid in cruisers and destroyers. The Greal admiral however drew up plans that a Greal naval fleet must be ready when the TPF fleet first arrives.

The Tatom Defense Department ordered 500,000 communist troops to Greal immediately. The troops would have to enter through Zamper to get to Greal, but they would arrive a day before the enemy fleets would arrive. The Tatom Communist Party president would have sent more, but he was attacked by Mokans and other nations on the western coast.

A Tatom communist naval fleet was sent to Greal, since they were closer to Greal then the enemy, they would arrive 6 hours before the enemy fleets did.

Radar stations in Grunt detected the 18,000 cruise missiles heading toward Greal, sending alarm bells through Greal.
"Now what?" was one response.
Greal Missile batteries fired at the approaching missiles. Flashes were seen in the sky and around Greal. 70% of all Greal airfields were wiped out. Thousands of civilians died, causing outrage throughout Greal, The Government used this as propaganda, saying that the enemy did not care about civilian lives. Millions of people would defend Greal to the last person. Bridges were destroyed around Greal. Most of Greal fighters however were out of range and safe from the missiles, but still, planes were destroyed. Coastal guns were underground as the missiles impacted around them. Still, a thousand coastal guns remained. The Greal military was preparing a cruise missile strike.

Jet engines screaming, the regiment(50 planes) of SB-05 Airborne Cruise Missile Platforms in the Totalitarian State rocketed into the air and set course to join up with 550 more of their fellow craft. These planes were modified A380 'Superjumbos', the design had been changed so these planes carried rotary cruise missile launchers.

With a carrying capacity of 152,400 kilograms(336,000 pounds), the SB-05 could carry twenty-five CM-6 missiles per plane. The CM-6 was intended as a heavy land attack missile. With a range of 600 kilometers, a cruise speed of over mach-2, terrain hugging capabilities, and a vareity of warheads, the CM-6 was a formidable missile.

400 kilometers away from Greal coastline, 5 hours later

At a distance of 400 kilometers, the planes launched. The proportion of the CM-6 missiles were as follow: out of 15,000 missiles, 10,000 were conventional warheads targetted on military bases, communication centers, supply centers, large-scale RADAR sites, and important government facilities. The other 5,000 were armed with cluster munition dispensors, targetted on large scale military formations, military bases, supply bases, land-based cruise missile launchers, and any fortified coastlines.

Zamper

The Government of Zamper was shocked about the level of violence used against Greal. Zamperian troops began pouring into Greal. 5,000 Cruise missiles, all armed and ready, were fired at the Red Tide fleet. Zamperian naval fleets were being moved to Greal. Thousands of more cruise missiles were in reserve to use against the TPF fleet just in case.

The Armada
Waves crashed against the bows of the carriers as they continued to slice their way through the ocean and towards Greal and crusade. Crusade was really a subjective term, the religious doctrine of TPF did not believe in it. Despite this the word "Crusade" came up during almost every war in the Holy Reich, especially wars against communism. Now the armada was reading itself for the assault against the Greal coastline, now being just under sixty kilometers away from the coastline. F-25 Spectre fighter-bombers as well as the M3F naval bombers, along with electronic warfare aircraft such as the Stork, now took off from the carriers and prepared to bombard the coastline in preparation for the assualt.

Over three hundred aircraft were now in the air, heading towards Greal to begin the attack. Other aircraft were still on the carriers or in orbit around them, providing CAP patrols and a strike group. The aircraft would first concentrate on enemy SAM sites near the area. Red Tide had made an excellent first strike against the airfields of Greal which severely diminished their ability to deploy fighters. The attack squadrons were also still within the missile protection of the fleet, the Town class Air Defense Cruisers would be especially useful against any enemy aviation. Once the intital SAM sites were taken out via HARM missiles, the aircraft would then begin to attack enemy troop concentrations around the landing area.

The landing zone was divided into four beaches that were located next to each other, separated by about four kilometers a piece. Altogether the beachhead would equate to about twenty kilometers in length and two kilometers deep. The assualt would be made by three Marine infantry divisions equipped with both helicopters and amphibious assualt vehicles. It would take around two hours to get all thirty thousand men on shore assuming everything went smoothly. The 155mm AGS systems on board the Posidean class destroyers, as well as the battleship cannons aboard the Ajax class battleships, began an intense bombardment of the beachheads themselves. Finally, four hundred cruise missiles were launched at coastal gun positions as well as transportation hubs such as railways, highways, and bridges.

"Yes, but will Greal be willing to make such an agreement? Sarah Watson hasn't been known for her ability to accept defeat or swallow her pride for the good of her nation."

"In which case, sir, we must mobilise the HIDF." Gen. Mcalpin said, sitting next to Dr. Booker. "We must be prepared to go to war against The PeoplesFreedom and Binaria, should they be unwilling to negotiate. If millions are to die for the sake of a nation's independance, so be it."

"Very well, mobilize." The Hegemon replied, frustration evident on his face. "Booker, see if we can set up peace talks between the involved party."

The General paused for a moment as he listened intently to sometyhing on his earpiece. "Sir, it seems a Red Tide fleet is also moving towards Greal."

Lord Sumguy swore loudly. "I doubt the Totalitarian State has any sort of good intentions. Get that meeting set up as quickly as possible, i dont think TPF or Binaria want Red Tide involved any more than we do."

Land route trade will remain in effect though. We ask to the invading nations that our cargo and passenger liners be given time to leave to avoid damage. We further ask that any unarmed passenger ships coming from our ports be left alone due to the populaces scare of war coming to Zoingo. The ships will not be heading anywhere in the SOL, and are only traveling to our overseas colonies. As to the Hegemon, we can not approve or deny that we will engage in furthur conflict.

These terms are acceptable given the addition of several new rules. The government of Greal will disarm all their military forces as soon as possible and turn their weapons over to TPF. TPF will also have 200,000 soldiers who will occupy Greal to ensure a free and democratic system is set up properly. Upon hearing of the Cazelian declaration,Admiral Andarsen snorted in disgust. "Who in the hell do they think they are? Minutes later, the Longarms' missile doors opened. One thousand cruise missile gleamed in the sun after the VLS tubes on the bows and sterns of the ships. A flight of ten AV-46 Raptors took off from the Foxbury Class Assault Carriers loaded with fifty battle hardened soldiers each. When they were half ways to their targets the missiles launched. The large salvo of racing metal and death soared through the sky towards the Cazelian district of Sasha.

On board the lead Raptor, Major Tim Greiden stood closed to the landing ramp, as per custom of Binarian Officers leading from the front. He clicked on the Battalion wide com channel. "All right you mofos, listen up. Right now a missile strike is moving toward the Cazelian district of Sasha. Our orders are to land within twenty minutes of impact. If there is anything left alive, wer're going to kill it."

Hillcock sifted through files when the exact same marine who had been in his office about an hour earlier, execpt he was in full combat dress and carrying a Tommy gun "What is it?" He said, not even looking up "Sir, our radar systems had picked up incoming missiles launched from the Binarian ships" Hillcock looked up, his jaw dropped and his eyes wide. He sat in that position for a minute "Ativate all missile systems in the area immediately, and get me on the horn with the HIDF, NOW SOLDIER!" He commanded, opening a comm-link to the HIDF

Hillcock threw the comm to the ground and rushed out of the building "FIRE ALL ANTI-AIR AT THOSE MISSILES! PREPEARE DEFENSES! LET'S DIE GLORIOUSLY IN THE NAME OF OUR COUNTRY!" He yelled, as one of the missiles exploded several dozen metres behind him, incinerating a cluster of marines "NOW! OPEN FIRE!" The skies of Greal were once again filled with Patriot missiles and 88mm Flak shells. Yet despite Hillcock's best efforts 300 Missiles had hit the ground. Out of 12,000 Men, 1,000 had survived. They were battered, and a few of them had nothing but their pistols and sabers. The enire sector was in ruins, and the men knew that if the HIDF didn't arrive, they were destined to make their last stand in a foreign hellhole.

The war was over and Greal had surrendered, and they had made perfectly reasonable claim, if a little hard worded. This would not, and simply could not, go unpunished. It was a heavy choice to make, but Grossmen knew the nation and more importantly, God, would be on his side.

" Dispatch a Battalion of Marines via helicopter to the area of combat, order them to secure the area and provide medical assistance to the injured. I want Trauma center established ASAP. And give the order to shoot at any Binarian who does anything hostile towards us or the Cazelians. Have F-25's scramble and intercept those Raptors. Do it now and do it fast. Finally, dispatch a squad of Force Recon Marines and order them to arrest the commander of the Binarian fleet on charges of war crimes. If they refuse we will figure something out."

Hillcock stared out the window of an old Greal building turned Headquarters. He rubbed his forehead in disappointment. A young marine rushed up the stairs, stopping in front of the officer and saluting "Major, the Grealites have surrendered to the TPF'ians" "And when did this happen?"

The marine threw a this bundle of papers onto the man's desk "Mrs. Portman filed a report, It wasn't very nice" Hillcock opened the papers. Refugees were pouring out of the city into the Greal countryside. The Greal Republican Guard were trying to get into the city, they would not allow a foreign army to occupy their capital. Greal Divisions were sneaking into the city by using Metro tunnels and other tunnels. Greal troops armed themselves with shotguns and charged into the city. Police inside the city were coordinating to take back the city.

However, the crowd pushed and pushed. A man was killed as everyone ran over him, though no one noticed, until a police officer spotted the dead body, people screamed and now they tried to run over the fence using bricks and even cars.

For the last several hours they had been intent on listening to the evacuation progression near the port of Womer. Communist forces had managed to move in a sizable fleet into the area and so far the Prussians had been holding position and waiting for orders. Now it seemed that the Communists were evacuating large amounts of people, and furthermore they had at least one superdreadnought in the area if not more. While land-based aviation and carrier based forces prepared for an assualt, TPF sent a message.

Most of the refugees quickly went after the helicopters now, they were soon going to be overfilled.

Womer
It had been decided now to engaged the enemy fleets within TPFian waters. he cruise liners would not be sunk, but later seized and the refugees would be forces to debark back into Womer. The naval commanders had to plan the assualt carefully, as the enemy had two superdreadnoughts that could be a nuisance. The first assualt would consist of 300 naval aircraft launched from the carriers. These aircraft would engage the enemy carriers and air-defense ships. Later land-based aviation and other aircraft would finish off the defenseless enemy ships.

Aircraft after aircraft launched from the decks of the carriers. F-25 Spectre fighters would escort the M3F naval bombers that were now launching off the carrier decks. At the same time they were going to be further escorted by Viking electronic warfare birds, which were armed with state-of-the-art jamming equipment and anti-radiation missiles for use against the enemy vessels. The M3F's were equipped with four MLSS-21 (http://z4.invisionfree.com/NSDraftroom/index.php?showtopic=1223) a piece. Being the 400mm version, they were easily capable of destroying destroyers in one or two hits, and carriers could be sunk or unable to continue aircraft operations with several hits. The aircraft flew low to the sea to help avoid detection. They only needed to make it within 400 kilometers of the enemy vessels, as the MLSS-21 had a very long range for operations. In fact, this was likely beyond the reach of enemy surface-to-air missiles, giving the M3F's an limitlessly free attack run.

The fleet was moving into position to protect against a massive air attack. The Holbarts and Arleighs formed a 135 degree curve around the center of the fleet protecting against the shore and the enemy fleet. The other side against the shore was where the Zumwalts watching their back. Of course a few of each were also dispersed in both rings. In the center the Dreadnoughts were surrounded by the Empire Class carriers.

We are pulling out now, we noticed numerous aircraft taking off around our fleet. We would like to ensure that this is not an aggressive action as we are complying with your orders. Except it is taking longer then expected to get our marines safely out of there.

At Sea
The naval commanders simply ignored the latest communications from the Mokastanas. They simply had no right to be in the waters and had ignored the warnings to leave. It was also evident from intercepted radio signals that they were buying time to get more refugees evacuated and the bulk of the Marines were still on the ground. Thus, the order was sent to the M3F's to initiate their attacks run.

As the strike force entered engagement range, radar indicated that the enemy was forming into what was roughly a circular shape with the superdreadnoughts and carriers in the middle. As the group entered striking distanced the Viking electronic warfare aircraft began full jamming of the enemy radars and missiles. Then, the M3F's fired off the volleys of over eight hundred MLSS-21 missiles, targeting enemy air defense ships and the carriers. The MLSS-21 used stealth technology to make them harder to see at far distances and when the enemy detected them they would prove hard to shoot down. The missiles skimmed the sea surface and constantly moved and jinked to avoid enemy missiles and CIWS, and their special construction would make them able to resit enemy CIWS fire.

OOC: How many of each plane do you have attacking?


Planes were up in the air and moving to intercept the enemy naval bombers when they noticed the launch. In that case active radar was being turned on and the F-22s, F-18s Su-33s, and Harriers flew in to intercept them. Their primary goal were the Vikings so they would stop harrassing the radar systems and allow full usage. However there was one thing that Admiral Consuelo had on his side, the MLSS-21 had a range of 300km, given by the distance from the launch from the aircraft. His Firestorms had a range of 500km, and with 216 total launchers on the Krakens and Empires he would make them pay. Each launcher fired 6 AA missiles towards the enemy attacking aircraft. Since radar was being jammed the systems switched to LIDAR and heat tracking. In total 864 missiles were fired at the attacking air assault.

To protect against the missiles, another 5 missiles from each Firestorm launcher was fired, another 864 to be the first wave against the missile assault. RIM-162 Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile were warmed up for close in defense along with the CIWS. They hoped by the time the missiles got that close though the Jamming harassment would be minimized.

On the docks the Halo teams Immediently picked up the remianing marines, after all the Luxury cruisers were already off and setting sail. In another 10 minutes all the helicopters would be heading back on the fleet and the marines would be "safe."

"Shit, this is going to hell. How far off are the other fleets?"

"Sir we got the 8th Air attack and the 3 Kraken about 2 days off. we can meet them at checkpoint C in one day."

"Lets find a way to get the hell out of here. Pull the fleet out from the shoreline and protect those civilians at all cost. Connect back to Mokastana City and update them. See if we cant get some high speed bombers down here."

OOC: I have 200 M3F's and 74 F-25 Specter fighters defending them, with 25 vikings. Also I am just warning you in advance that I will be accepting your use of DMG made ships but I will be ignoring the bulk of their wanky features. Which is unfortunately most of them. In fact I would recommend you buy ships from designers such as Questers or Isslemere in the future instead of using this wanked shit.

At Sea
Unfortunately for the enemy the Firestorm missile launchers that had attacked the planes lacked effective range due to the jamming of radar. Despite this, the entire radar arrays of the enemy ships could not be enteirly jammed, so over one hundred missiles were able to make it within IR and LIDAR ranged. The M3F's and Specter fighters began evasive maneuvers, using flares and intense twists and turns in order to loose the missiles. Many F-25's were able to intercept the enemy missiles by using AAM's or their onboard cannons against them, but despite these efforts over forty fighters spiraled downwards towards the ocean. The rest turned away and sped home towards the fleet. Pilots that survived would be picked up later via helicopter.

Meanwhile the enemy launched over five hundred missiles at the MLSS-21 missiles to try and intercept them, however their stealth characteristics made it very hard for many of the enemy missiles to get an accurate lock at longe ranges, and the missiles were now at terminal velocity. Despite this the Firestorms were able to intercept 125 missiles.

Now, the carriers prepared to launch an additional three hundred aircraft for a second strike, and the fleet begin to move towards the enemy in order to get within range for a anti-shipping missile strike. At the same time at airbases in Greal, fifty Blackadder bombers took off from airbases loaded with deadly missiles, and they were further escorted by ASF-70 fighters. Five Squadrons of ASF-70's were also en route to defend the fleet against any enemy air attack. The Blackadders were armed with three AG. 145 missiles each, they carried a 1,000kg warhead which could literally demolish even the strongest ships, they would launch from over 500km away at the enemy fleet. Another wing of fifty Blackadder bombers were preparing to take off for another strike.

Two Hundreds of Mokan Aircraft charged the enemy attacking force, using AIM-120s they fired over 400 into the enemy attacking aircraft. The SU-33s flew in and fired their R-73s into the enemy aircraft mess aiming for the Vikings. Hoping to break them up long enough to get the fleet away from Greal shores. There main goal was those Vikings, concentrating their efforts on taking those out many pilots ignored enemy walls and blew through with cannon fire and Sidewinders. They wanted those dead. The EA-18G Growlers were staying with the fleet to try and jam the enemy missiles. It was obvious the Fleet was in a retreat, a fact that the enemy was no doubt enjoying. However they could not outrun the missiles. As they got into range the Advance Sea Sparrow systems took over and targeted the incoming missiles. Since it would be assumed that the Vikings would be busy jamming the missile targeted at them rather then the Fleet.

Fire 100 Tomahawk cruise missiles, 70 to the air bases and 30 to the enemy fleet. Use the Empires VLSs to fire 50 Harpoons into them as well. OOC: No, you don't have time for another volley, really, as it would take just 30 seconds to cross these distances at 400 kilometers, and since I launched at 300km it would be even less, also given that you wouldn't detect these until they were within 100 kilometers, you have only time for one volley. Finally, you can only have around 35 aircraft launched from a carrier at a time, not the full complement. In real life U.S. Nimitz carriers never have more than 25 aircraft, out at once with another 20 or so preparing for launch. Please adjust your post.

OOC: If you include the Krakens as carriers, since they can hold 80 aircraft each, that makes it 6 carriers so even with just 35 out a piece that still is 210 aircraft, but since real life aircraft battle don't include hundreds of aircraft I think we can up that, just not include the whole complement. Well say 40% are in the air. 280 aircraft for this battle, not including the 40 Harriers Since there is only 40 and the VTOLs would of been the first off. So i will make it 400 AIM-120 and 50 R-73s.

OOC: Considering that putting a runway on a SD is ultra-wank, that that won't work, and we can't up that, but otherwise the figure is fine. Add in the casualties and I'll be set to reply.

At Sea
The MLSS-21 missiles would unfortunately not get the immediate number of kills wanted by the admiralty, but they would help to drain enemy SAM defenses. As they closed in, they activated their numerous countermeasures such as chaff and active jammers and ECM pods. These were able to protect some of the missiles but most got shot down. Only twenty five made it to the targets to explode, but they would at least likely put those enemy ships out of action.

At the same time the fleet had more pressing matters as they discovered at least 240 fighters quickly entering the area. As they were headed back to the fleet, they managed to travel 160 kilometers back to the fleet, within range of the protecting CAP patrol as well as they Town-class Air Defense Cruisers. As the enemy fighters came into range and launched their missiles, they were met by two hundred Specter fighters and forty ASF-70's that engaged the enemy with three Thunderbolt (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12927244&postcount=24) missiles a piece and were also engaged by ten Sea Sabre (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13249705&postcount=22)missiles from each Town class Cruiser, this volley would ensure the enemy was annihilated. As the missiles closed in on the M3F's and Vikings, they were assisted by the powerful electronic counter-measures of the fleet, which were able to jam or even fry some of the missiles. The M3F's also unleashed chaff and flares to help misguide the missiles, but despite this over thirty were shot down over the sea, same with most of the Vikings which had a abnormal amount of missiles targeting them. Most were able to eject safely over the ocean and would be picked up quickly by picket frigates or helicopters. The fighters started to land to be refueled and re-armed, while others took off to prepare for the next attack which was set to begin in around twenty minutes to allow for cycles to complete.

At the same time radar soon detected the enemy harpoon missiles speeding towards the fleet. The Town Cruisers soon acquired all targets and transmitted them over the battlespace management system to the overhead fighters and air defense units across the fleet. A total of 780 missiles were launched, one for each missile, at a range of one hundred and fifty kilometers these too were Thunderbolts and Sea Sabre's, launched by both the Towns and and Tridents as well as the circling fighters. Any remaining missiles could be dealt with via CIWS or the quad-packed Sea Dagger missiles.

The airfields were thankfully out of range of the thirty inch shells, or at least the airfields were the Blackadders and ASF-70's were being launched from. This did not put them out of range of the enemy harpoons or tomahawks, but thankfully the airfields had Lyran Skyguard SAM systems to defend them. They intercepted all but ten, which caused minor damaged to the runways, administrative buildings, and armored hangers.

At the same time the Prussian fleet prepared for a anti-shipping missile launch against the enemy fleet in preparation for the next bombing run and Blackadder assualt. This attack consisted of a total launch of 800 Sea Serpent (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13274366&postcount=38) missiles with a combined launch of 400 MLSS-21 and 200 Sea Lion (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13249707&postcount=24) missiles. The Sea Lions would enage the higher priority enemy carriers and would ensure kills due to their high speeds and advanced attack patterns and electronics. The rest of the missiles were meant to provide cover for the attack and destroy enemy destroyers and similar vessels. This attack would likely destroy much of the enemy fleet and deplete the SAM's in preparation for the final air assualt.

The planes were not suppose to get in range of the fleet, however it seemed that someone miscalculated. Once the enemy ships had fired the planes immediately turned and after burned it out of there. Chaff and Jammers were fired but even with the 3 on one ratio it was going to be insane trying to escape. Overall it was a five to one missile mayhem ( I'm just throwing a number out there) needless to say dozens of planes fell in the first few minutes. The escape was going to be the suicide doctrine, use the burning flames and flying hot shrapnel as chaff and flares against the missiles by flying away, Since they were in a retreat. To the missiles it would seam like miles of flares and chaff to fly though and confuse them.

Of the 240 planes, about 38 made it out in working order and headed back to the main fleet.

On the main fleet the firestorms were being reloaded with the CIWS engaged the remaining missiles and thus 23 made hits.

The fleet saw the incoming missiles on RADAR and the damning future of the battle. For each Firestorm 10 of the 12 AA missiles were fired to destroy the incoming mass, totaling 2,160 missiles coming in to stop the incoming missile.

The air defense ships were reloading the VLS systems for when the remainder got into range. Once they got in range they would be ready to fire.

Seven Squadrons of Hyperions where dispatched as word of a TPF attack on Mokastana ships was announced. Ten Ohio Class Boomers and a pair of Derelict Class Carrier Subs where also dispatched to the location.

Secretary of the Navy Jack Ray cursed the slow speed of the ships, knowing that it would not reach the ships until sunrise. Though he liked The People's Freedom, he knew that such an attack was not good. Having placed himself in command of the Derelict Class Flying Fish, he watched as his ships moved at an excruciatingly slow pace across the sea.

Ocean, near Womer
A loud cheer rose up in the bridges across the fleet as the first kills were confirmed. Now it was time for command to finish off the enemy fleet.

The enemy had a number of different missiles to contend with in regards to their latest barrage of missiles, and it would be difficult to intercept them all. The enemy fleet was of course limited by radar horizon and so most missiles could bot be detected until much later, and also the MLSS-21's had the stealth features. As the Sea Lion's entered 100 kilometers, they speed up to their top speed of 800 m/s along the sea floor, and used their ECM pods to jam incoming enemy missiles. They also unleashed their chaff loads as to break up their radar signature. Despite this a full half of the missiles went down, but a full half continued to barrel on towards the enemy carriers and superdreadnoughts. Even if they got hit by one of the missiles, it was unlikely they could survive or continue to fight at that battle. A full six hundred Sea Serpent missiles were also intercepted, but two hundred continued on, while also two hundred MLSS-21's met their fate, as they closed in they too dispatched chaff and ECM to disrupt attacking missiles.

With the enemy's latest barrage completed, the fifty Blackadder bombers were free to engage the enemy with AS. 145 missiles (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13393003&postcount=2), from two hundred kilometers away. These too could travel as over 800 m/s and would likely destroy the enemy carriers and superdreadnoughts they targeted. Their high-speeds and large payloads would see to that. Each plane launched two missiles, and they had one more each to fire. The enemy was unlikely to survive even this latest barrage and back at the carriers the strike groups were getting ready for another attack run,

The Binarian fleet got word of The PeoplesFreedom attack on the Mokastana naval forces in the region. Near the edge of the fleet the Admiral Class Strike Cruisers launched a salvo of 105 Thunderstrike Heavy Anti-Shipping Missiles (http://z4.invisionfree.com/NSDraftroom/index.php?showtopic=1689). The 302nd Strike Wing took off annd circled the edge of the fleet before setting on a course toward the Mokastana task force. They carried AM39 Exocet Anti Shipping Missiles to mop up any forces that survive the main attacks.

"Sir, Missiles have launched and the Three oh Second Strike Wing have departed." Tigh reported after entering the bridge. "Very good. Have them see if there are any surviors in the water, mark their postions so we can get some prisioners for questioning. Once the enemy have either been destroyed or scattered seen some raptors to pick them up. I want all of them to get here alive. Make sure they know that. The Raptor pilots may only open fire if they are attacked first."

He sat down in his chair and picked up a tea cup and drank the warmth as he contemplated his next move. He knew he couldnt out run, the VLSs would not be reloaded. The firestorms launched thier remaining two missiles and were being reloaded but those would soon be out of AA missiles.

"If it wasn't for the fact we had over 8 thousand Greal refugees with us i would say fight to the end, but we must think of their lives. Surrender to the TPF fleet. At least that way those people can live. Shoot down the remaining missiles and pray that they let those people live."

Ocean, near Womer
Word came in through radio channels that the enemy wanted to surrender. the lastest barrage of missiles from the ships and Blackadders, as well as Binarian missiles, had destroyed most of the surviving enemy fleets. It was no surprise then, when the surrender news came in.

The enemy launched a last ditch effort to destroy the incoming missiles, and they did manage to destroy four hundred and fifty of the various types, but still the vast bulk did manage to survive and slammed into the enemy ships.

The fleet prepared to have Marines move in via helicopter and secure the cruise liners and occupy the enemy ships, but first they sent a message stating their intentions.

Occupational Fleet
We hereby accept your surrender on the following terms. Your ships must immediately turn off all radars and sensoring equipment, and your entire crew must be on the deck or bridges of your ships in visual range. We will then dispatch Marines and Sailors to take control of your ships. Our medical staff will look to your wounded and we will evacuate them to our field hospitals in Greal for treatment.

After Mokastanan surrender, the 302nd Strike Wing returned to their carriers with out firing a shot. A flight of Raptors took off and went to search for surviors floating amongst the wreckage.

"S&R two though ten, this is S&R Leader, prepare for takeoff, over." After hearing his polits report in, Colonel Burgison pust the throttle forward slowly until it was all the way forward. The Raptor started to rise up off of its landing gear. He reached up to throw a series of switches that turned on the running lights and the Friend or Foe Indictator. When his Co-pilot took the tilt rotor aircraft up to one hundred meters, he hit the last button, the engine nallecces began to rotate forward and their speed increased. All over the fleet, eleven other Raptors repeated the same process before moving off to search for survivors.

Please do not take this the wrong way, but we are using Radar to coordinate our helicopter efforts for rescuing sailors from the sunk and sinking ships. I will have the majorities of crews on the deck but many will still be operating pumps and doing ground coordination for the rescue operations for our sailors and Greal refugees who were hit by missile attacks.

Refugee ships will take priority in medical attention and will have crews on deck as per your request.

Fleet Communication
We suppose this is acceptable, but we would perfer it if only one or two radars stayed operational. Our Marines shall arrive shortly.


Ocean, near Womer
Helicopters from nearly every ship in the fleet took off, shuttling Marines to the ships and conducting rescue operations. The helicopters first went to rescue the downed TPFian pilots whom had not already been rescued, and then took them back to the ship or mainland hospitals. Other helicopters also began to look for surviving Mokastanan sailors, some of which were heavily wounded, these were flown to civilian or military hospitals in Greal. Overall more than two hundred helicopters and tilt-rotors were in the air. They expected to at least rescue two thousand sailors by day's end, and rescue efforts would continue throughout the night.

As the Marines landed on the vessels the requested that all small arms be brought to them, and then for an officer to be assigned for them as lisiaion. At least one squad was put on each ship, while several squads were placed on the larger ships. Overall TPF wanted to be helpful rather than harmful.

Admiral Jesus Consuelo waited on his bridge for the TPF liaison to meet him on the MNS Villa. His tea was getting colder but at this point it did not matter.

"Isnt it ironic, we go from trying to kill these people to coordinating efforts with them to rescue people in the water."


"Or the fact we bring in warships to try and resolve things peacefully." The first mate added.

"yeah, well, lets hope that we get these people rescued. Though judging by how fast the Lusitania (luxury ship with refugees) sank I don't think many will survive that."

They sat on the Bridge watching the TPF halos land on their ships and slowly took over. Of course many refugees had been on the Empires and Krakens as well, after all it was a rush to get out of there. They just wondered what would happen now....

MNS Villa
A Marine Captain had landed on the SD with more than five squads of Marines, as it was a large ship so more men would be needed to keep order. They would also need to figure out what to do with the refugees and the fleet in general, more likely they would first focus on getting food and medical treatment to the refugees firstly. As he entered the bridge with three of his men they saluted as per protocol when confronted with a superior officer. They were crisp salutes. " Sir! Captain Deebs of the 13th Shipborne Marine Battalion!"

The Admiral saluted back, while Mokan Protocol did ask for formalities it was hardly practiced. Many times an admiral would walk into a room and business would go as usual. Unless he made it clear there was something he wanted. This was an old practice from before the navy had even been thought of. Back when Mokastana was still warring nations snipers would watch enemy camps, or even ports. When someone was saluted they were shot. So it quickly became tradition in the Mokan military that saluting was more of a death wish then for honor. Even in the civil wars, both modern and earlier, saluting was not done out of respect.

But foreigners still did it, so it was a must when dealing with them...

"Welcome aboard. Now is there an actual plan on what to do with us once the wounded are tended to and you have control?"

MNS Villa
Captain Deebs lowered his salute and stood at attention. He took a moment to survey the deck and his defeated enemy. Indeed, the sailors looked worn and tired but they were still monitoring the equipment as duty told them to do. Many gave him short glances, obviously wondering more about this foreigner and their fates. " Sir, we do not yet have a concrete plan for what exactly will happen next. It will at least take two days for rescue operations to finish, so we will likely stay in this area for some time. What will become of you depends on a number of things. Likely your ships will not be returning home. Our navy will confiscate them and either sell them off again or later scrap them. As for your sailors and yourself you are prisoners of war. After docking you will be escorted to the POW camps we have inside Greal. You may return to your homeland in just a few weeks depending on talk with your government. I will be straight with you when I say it may be longer depending if your government goes to war with us or not."

we would like to discuss the current situation between TPF and Mokastana and the return of our navy.

The Hyperions and Subs had been ordered to move with their Jammers active, and their radios silent. Only the new USV's allowed the Submarines to contact the Hyperions when needed.

So when 72 Hyperions showed up on the horizon, they where shocked when an urgent, Narrow-band Microwave communique was relayed from the President herself to the Secretary of the Navy.

<All ships are to emerge to the surface at once, CAP is to be set up, and the Hyperions are to proceed with Jammers inactive. You are to board the lead Hyperion, and to make your way to the TPF Flagship. We have received word that Mokastana has surrendered, and I do not want anything to happen to those ships, not when we are trying to establish Diplomatic Relations with Greal and Mokastana and bring about internal change.>

The Secretary looked disgusted as he boarded the Sikorsky SH-60 for the turbulent ride to the designated Hyperion and the subsequent voyage to the TPF fleet. The air was harsh as he was lowered down to the receiver well, and the air inside the bag smelled of Helium.

Settling into the command chair for the massive airship, he ordered it forward, and opened up a channel to let the TPF fleet know he was coming, and that backup was a short ways away.

Ocean, near Womer
It was now early the next morning, and the rescue operations had gone well for the last fourteen hours. Over one thousand sailors had been picked up via rescue helicopter and taken to local area hospitals for recovery. Several of the ships in the fleet were also hosting lightly wounded troopers. Operations would continue until midday, and then stop as the chances of recvoring anybody by that time would be slim to none.

It was a surprise then as they received word that Americans wanted to speak and meet with the Admiral in charge, needless to say TPF was not entirely happy with a foreign power just showing up unannounced. CAP patrols were as always being conducted, but with airships just over the horizion the CAP patrols increased twofold and furthermore several helicopters and planes were dispatched with MAD detectors and sonar buoys to keep an eye on the submarines. The Americans were given permission to have one airship arrive for talks, while the submarines and other airships were ordered to stay at least 200 kilometers away. It was now early the next morning, and the rescue operations had gone well for the last fourteen hours. Over one thousand sailors had been picked up via rescue helicopter and taken to local area hospitals for recovery. Several of the ships in the fleet were also hosting lightly wounded troopers. Operations would continue until midday, and then stop as the chances of recvoring anybody by that time would be slim to none.

It was a surprise then as they received word that Americans wanted to speak and meet with the Admiral in charge, needless to say TPF was not entirely happy with a foreign power just showing up unannounced. CAP patrols were as always being conducted, but with airships just over the horizion the CAP patrols increased twofold and furthermore several helicopters and planes were dispatched with MAD detectors and sonar buoys to keep an eye on the submarines. The remaining Hyperions maintained their positions and focused on their jobs. The Submarines launched their USV's to drop Sonar Buoys and to preform CSP, supplementing the F-35's that had been launched by the two Submersible Carriers.

The Lead Hyperion, now designated Echo-19 due to the Secretary's command over it, made its way forward, its weapons systems deactivated.

As Echo-19 neared, the Secretary prepared for the talks by gathering all the intel he could on the situation. Though he wasn't entirely sure of the details, he did know that Mokastana had been trying to carry refugees away from Greal, and that TPF had attacked them.

As he neared, he looked over the damage to the Mokastana Fleet and sighed. So much death to get people out safely. If General Landry where here, he would be pissed at the damage done to his adversaries, which could posibly force them out of the AFC.

As the lone Airship approached, the commander asked for clearance to land it on the carrier, and to dispatch the Secretary for a meeting with the admiral.

The 8th Air Attack fleet and the 3rd Kraken fleet had approached the Greal/TPF waters. Their goal was to be in range and ready in case of anything that may happen, while staying far enough away as not to provoke more shooting. Easier said then done, however they decided that 500km was good enough for this purpose. Also they had happened was Numerous fighters were up in the air maintaining air superiority and radar was watching the coast for any usual activity, if the radar couldnt see it then satellite imagery would be sent to inform the admiral of what was happening. This time they would not be caught off guard by enemy bombers or missiles. Underneath them the 5th Wolf pack paced the ocean floors. listening for any enemy submarines movement. Admiral Franshaw had ordered all naval forces to be at DEFCON 3, and to be ready in case of warfare with TPF.

However as of now a Mokan plane with 5 MIG-29s as escort were flying from the Sur region to Greal to discuss the future of TPF/Mokan relations. In it was Nicolas Villa, his duty was to try and prevent another war while achieving Mokan goals in the region. The Navy, perhaps his biggest ally, would want their ships and men back, the people of Mokastana would want the Greal Refugees, to show the mission wasn't a waste. Nicolas had hoped that he could relax and that he was done with dimplomacy, but when this situation came up he knew that the Mokan government would need him. He was a hero to the people, and a good negotiator, now the question was could a compromise be achieved.

Fort Liberty
The Mokan planes were cleared to land at Liberty Air base, which was a newly constructed series of airfields near the fort to handle the large Zeus, Sariel, and Blackadder bombers along with other planes such as tankers and gunships. Previously TPF had been using the nearby Sasha International Airport, but now most of the planes had been transfered to the new airbase.

The Mokan planes were escorted by a flight of ASF-70 fighters and soon the Mokan planes landed at the base. The MIG's were also cleared to land for a generous re-fueling by TPF, or they could return home. It had now been several days since the end of the battle. The enemy ships had long since been places in the ports, and TPF ships were busy re-supplying themselves for future battles. the passengers departed, they were met by Colonel Hamson, an adjutant to General Eckheart. The Mokans could see the airbase was very busy. Cargo planes were landing constantly with supplies, troops, and equipment for the upcoming battle with Leocardia. Unknown to to the Mokans an additional fleet was en route along with one hundred thousand additional combat troops with tanks, artillery, and vehicles. Additional Cardinal, ASF-70, and Audax squadrons were also en route.

The Mokans were loaded into Lyrasian Fox 4x4 tactical transports and driven to yet another mess hall where the meeting would take place and lunch would be served. In the fort they could also see the busy soldiers, organizing the supplies and loading them into trucks or tilt-rotors for the movement to supply depots in the fort or to other bases around the nation. As they entered the mess hall, General Eckheart introduced himself. He was weary and tired, as there was talks with High Command of replacing him as the commander. It had been two months since the end of the invasion and the security situation was similar to a roller coaster.

Nicolas Villa could see the organized chaos around the base. It was apperent something big was going on, almost as if they were expecting war. Hopefully it was with someone other then Mokastana. With him was 10 Jaguar Elite Body Guards, men trained for the soul purpose of being a body guard. The term jaguar was more for honor then an actual military branch or rank, one became a Jaguar once they met two conditions; they have seen live combat, not just been an active theatre but actually seen war, and have at least three confirmed kills. Once a man became a Jaguar they could continue in the army and join special forces, the Shock divisions, or Government priority work, such as bodyguards or embassy staff.

Once they were loaded in the Lyrasian vehicles they instantly recognized the manufacturer. No doubt they would have skygaurds, and perhaps other Lyrasian specialties. From the communications from the pilots they had gotten a free refill from the TPF base and then were flying back to Mokastana. It seems they are looking for a peaceful ending out of all this. After all who wants to go into a long term war over in a nation far from home.....

When General Eckheart came up and introduced himself Nicolas saw that he looked tired. Something is up, and its more then the Mokan mobilization. So lets get this over with...

"Greetings, I am Nicolas Villa of the Mokan government."
he held out his hand to shake the General's, being an ex-military man he knew the troubles of leading an army even in peace, only most of his experience had been with Guerrilla armies, so many years ago. As a matter of fact, it was Nicolas who first asked his men not to salute him when he was out of the HQ.

"Well, shall we get to business?"

After shaking the man's hand Eckheart heavily took his seat. The stress of war was becoming more difficult, and he had been having trouble sleeping. He still managed to keep the characteristic Prussian manner in the forefront, however. After taking a bite of his Reuben sandwich and taking a sip of vodka, he responded. " Indeed, let us begin. We suppose you will want to know the status of your prisoners. They are at this time being well taken care of and fed. If you so choose we can bring you to the camp where they are being held in later."

"I would like that, Admiral Consuelo is a friend of mine, well I am sure we both want to avoid going to war but that will require effort from both sides. We have an initial offer that we start with and work on from there. I just have to be sure that we will come to an agreement and no one will storm off from this table to give the launch orders to the rest of the forces. Can we agree to that upfront?"

Nicolas also had taken a drink of his vodka, after all these people didnt seem like the type to poison a negotiator, and even if they did, well, he had lived a good life. He decided to keep the alcohol to a minimum though. After he finished the sip he tried the Germanic food that had been laid out for them. His bodyguards, however chose not to eat, they were on duty and technically these men were potential combatants.

Eckheart suppressed a smirk at the latest comments of the Moskan diplomat. TPF didn't begin attacks during talks, Nova Europa being the single expetion, but that was under different circumstances. " Of course not. I think your country has already witnessed the strength of our military." Nicolas caught a bit of the famed Officer Corps arrogance. " Now of course we must talk about the issue at hand. Our job here is to promote peace, but that is hard to do. After all, your vessels refused to leave our waters even after we warned your nation multiple times. This is what led to the destruction and capture of your fleet here."

"Well from my understanding the ships were having trouble getting off the docks safely but were on the way out when they were shot at."

Nicolas didn't really want to get into an argument over who has the better guns, experience told him those never ended well. Though this Commander sounded like he enjoyed the overpowering victories, such as the one the Mokan fleet was caught on the wrong side of, but then again, what commander didn't. If any progress was to be made it wouldn't help if both sides considered the other completely at fault.

"But i think it would be easier, if we skipped the argument of who was responsible for this incident and find a way to peacefully resolve it. We both want what is best for the people of Greal I assume. We offer our help to rebuild Greal as long as you promise to ensure Greal becomes a democracy. Here is the initial Mokan Peace treaty. "

The People's Freedom shall return the crews and ships to the custody of Mokastana, no repairs or work will be asked.

That refugees will be allowed to move from to Mokastana from Greal if they feel it is in their best interest

Mokastana will pay $250 million for the reconstruction of Greal

Mokan Engineering Corps will assist in the rebuilding of Greal

The Western Bases were supplied with soldiers and supplies, and maintenance on the equipment was a priority. The transportation department remained on low profile, knowing that TPF forces can shoot down any planes in their way. The soldiers and special forces units were proven to bring a similiar defensive structure as to the previous wars fought with Pythogria. This is different, this is a defensive mission and the enemy is to attack the bases, not Leocardia attacking them. Towed AA artilleries were placed all over the mountains and hills populated with trees, making it hard for the enemy to detect them. Surface-to-Air missiles were scattered all over the forests too, as well as land mines that were possible passageways toward the nearby bases that the TPF forces can take.

The Leocardian military bases in Greal were not only isolated, but also strategically advantaged. Although, facing TPF as a defense is a challenge, and has never been done before. Soviet and Chinese tactics were no use in these kinds of situations, and Leocardian forces were forced to adapt to the new Leocardian tactics that were supposedly believed to be proven in such missions. Leocardian influence has begun to spread and encourage throughout Greal.

Zamper-Greal border

The border was quiet, but there was a long fence along the border, on the Zamper side of the fence, was 2 million troops, they had been massing for days,m but they were in no mood to start a war with TPF, but that did not mean they were abandoning Greal. Tunnels were being built to smuggle weapons into Greal, and also smuggle Zamperian troops. The Zamper army had 2 million men on their side of the border, including support personnel.

The Zamperian troops began to receive 4,000 LY4A1 Wolfhound MBTs and LY300 Manticore Multiple Rocket Systems and other weapons recently purchased. The Lyran Rocket systems were being transported into the tunnels. Some of the Wolfhound MBTs have also been smuggled in.
