NOTE: The following is a proclamation issued in Romandeos three years ago, in which she formally declares the Imperial Federated States of Romandeos to help stabilize the nation, and claims the title Empress of Romandeos in response to public demand and refusal to accept anybody else.
It has only now been released for international viewing.
Imperial Manifesto
It is plainly visible to any thinking person that this Great and Noble Country is collapsing in to pieces, falling apart at its very seams. The old Government has suffered full collapse in the days following the attack launched against us by the horrible Rogue State of Otagia in days past. This process has been hastened by the Zukariaans also.
My goal is to make Romandeos a pleasant place for decent peoples. Romandeos will be a light in the darkness, an example to be followed by others. The only way such can happen is if a single, driven person is given absolute authority. In time a new constitution shall be laid down, control returned to the people. That time is not now.
NO OTHER WAY EXISTS.
By the virtue of authority vested in me by Holy God Almighty, the Imperial Federated States of Romandeos is now established.
I claim the title Empress of Romandeos.
I hereby issue the following Imperial Proclamations.
I. Crime and Punishment:
Crime will be strictly controlled. All just laws will be enforced throughout the lands, with high-level crimes such as murder, rape, and so on warranting the death penalty, and crime less severe, such as theft, bringing fines and corporal punishment. Social station will have literally no bearing on the sentence inflicted.
Imperial Justice is henceforth based on restitution and just punishment, not imprisonment in facilities that drain money from law-abiding people. The only prisons shall be facilities in which work gangs are housed while making up debts to society.
II. Environmental Concerns:
Every reasonable measure shall be taken to protect the environment and natural resources in this country. However, national security and prosperity shall not be needlessly lessened in an attempt to satisfy the eco-terrorists and environmentalists.
III. Education and Values:
Romandeosian schools shall once more become temples of education. Our culture will be literally rebuilt, from the ground up through appropriate education of children. Professors in schools will have more authority. Traditional family values shall be enforced as well as heightened civility and respect for appropriate authority. Morality and virtues will prevail in this country as they must if we are to survive.
IV. Welfare and Support:
Henceforth, government welfare shall be kept at the absolute minimum. Persons applying in future will be examined by a Welfare Applications Review Committee. Said body shall look at the applicant’s case and, if said applicant has exhausted all reasonable options and is truly in need of support, it shall be granted at once.
V. Money and Taxation:
Income taxes, property taxes, inheritance taxes, and so on, are hereby abolished. Taxation is to be conducted through use taxes and sales taxes alone.
VI. Borders and Immigration:
Borderline Security shall be strictly enforced. People immigrating to Romandeos illegally have to face the fact that they will be treated as criminals.
VII. Law and Justice:
Beginning today, an Imperial Law Review Committee shall examine all the laws in effect in the Empire and decide if they are just and sensible. Those which are approved will stay in effect, while those not approved shall be repealed at once.
VIII. Racism and Discrimination:
Racism shall not be permitted. All forms of discrimination, reverse discrimination, quotas intended to force companies to hire certain numbers of non-whites, and affirmative action have no place in Romandeos. True equality must prevail.
Everything listed here can be accomplished only by a single person with sufficient power, legal authority and support. Prime Ministers and politicians have failed. Change is needed if Romandeos is to survive.
