Ascension of the People (FT)

Forty years have passed since the development of Ascension Technology, allowing us, the Blessed Children of Whisper. A holy honor, to be bonded with the Ascension Ships, the first starships of our race. Those who has done, who have become Guardians, pilots of the Ascension Ships are those who unite and lead us- they are our beloved.
It was these first seven who, in their patrols and exploration of the system in which Egerakera lies, that many other of our great inventions were made. With a whole factory, science lab, library, and warship at their use, while implanted into the Ascension Ships, the use of artificial intelligence, both subspace and hyperspace, and the synthetic creation of life were developed by the Guardians. About their duties and research they would occasionally pass massive amounts of data to the others, thus allowing for improvements to systems and theories.
It was during one of these Communion Events that the topic of xenos and aliens arose. This discussion was, unlike those from the past, initiated by proof of such beings existing, for it was on the fringes of our known space that a Guardian saw on the edge of his scanners, something that was undeniably artificial.
Grouping together in the first Great Communion, with input from the terrestrial leader, it was decided that a large EM-spectrum burst of a single message, written in the language of the People, Senázlaviit.
Ehtao éme Akmatroskiirér Idgarágara, imao ima jéme: Imaoýa me áz, sá Imaoýa me ár?
TRANS:We, the Empire of Egerakera, speak to You Who Are: Who are you and where do you come from?

John Bradley sat at the helm of his ship, the Fighting Falcon (http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h52/nx9100/Piratecruiser.jpg) . The old YJ-class freighter had just dropped out of warp for a course correction, when the alien transmission was detected. "What the?" exclaimed Kate, at the ops station, "What's that all about?"
"Yet another species looking for new friends," John replied. "Maybe we should take a look,"
"Oh no you don't," Kate began, "You know what's going to happen. A dozen other ships will here that message and come running. You really want to get caught up in all that? With this kind of cargo on board?"
"I know," John relaxed in his chair. "Still, it could be interesting. Fire up the COMM. I want to try something."
Kate sighed, "I'm not going to like this..."
"People of Egerakera. I am Captain John Bradley, master of the starship Fighting Falcon. We have heard your call, and welcome you among the stars."
(ooc: not sure where to go with this, but thought I'd give you an IC bump)

A sensation passed through the senses of a guardian near the edge of the Egerakeran system. A response to the call, a response to our own intelligence in this great desert. Swinging himself around, the guardian saw the faint shadow of a ship in distance, sending the raw data to the others. Processing the message for grammatical elements ended rather quickly, creating a short snap shot of the xeno language.
As the ship moved, it changed- parts shifting around to reveal many odd sensory devices, all studying the design and behavior of the other vessel. Another bust of message was sent to the Fighting Falcon
"Be blessed by the wind, Captain John Bradley, I am Heomýrete, the third of the Guardians, Ascended and Bound by this, my body. We seek that which we do not know and that you know."
(ooc thx)
The Allanean exploration vessel, the USS Western Virginia, turned slightly, aiming its communication array towards the Ascension Ships. It was one of the many tiny explorer ships the Allaneans used for such goals, preparing them for the purpose of scouting for alien civilizations everywhere.
They sent out the standard message:
This is Captain McCoy of the USS Western Virginia, I am most happy to meet you. Perhaps our nation and yours could engage in some peaceful trade?

"Hmm. What do you make of that?" asked John.
"Sounds like a bunch on mumbo-jumbo," replied Kate. "You going to respond?"
"Of course. I need to be polite, right?"
"Whatever..."
"Captain!" exclaimed the young man at the sensor station, "Another ship is in the area!"
"Are they tracking us?"
"I don't think so."
"Then we stay," he looked over at Kate's frown. "Just for a few more minutes," he said.
"Heomýrete, Bradley here. I'm not sure how to respond. Maybe I could send you our starcharts. That should help you map the surrounding areas. Stand by."
A data stream followed the message, containing starmaps of dozens of sectors...

"Captain! I'm picking up the Falcon!"
Drakor jumped from his chair. "Location?!" he ordered while shoving sailors out of the way so he could view the sensor screen.
The crewer at the sensor station pointed to the screen. "He's in system J-39943. Holding position."
"Perfect!" Drakor returned to his chair. "Battlestations! Ready the guns! Load torpedo launchers!" Sailors scattered around the bridge, ruching to cary out his orders. "Prepare torpedoes! Take out his engines on the first shot!"
"We're almost there!" said the helmsman.
"Bring us out of warp! "Ready on those torps?"
"Ready!"
The 800-meter long Black Pearl (http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h52/nx9100/lastscan.jpg) dropped out of warp and instantly fired a pair of topedoes at the Fighting Falcon. They impacked on her stern, taking out one of the warp nacelles.
----------------
"What the hell!?" yelled Bradley as he picked himself off of the floor. "What was that!?"
"It's the Pearl!" shouted Kate. "They've taken out the Warp drive!"
"Get us out of here!" ordered Bradley. "Can you get me power for the hyperdrive?"
"GO!" yelled Kate. "GO GO GO!"
"I'm going!" The Falcon jumped to hyperspace, just missing another pair of torpedoes.
----------------
Drakor sat in his chair, the bridge crew silent around him. THey new the price of failor on this ship. After a few minutes, Drakor stood up. "Track him!"
Three crewmen rushed the nav station. "I have his course!" said one. "Assumming he doesn't stop to early, he should arrive in sector J-3933 in two days."
"Get us there in one!" ordered Drakor. The bridge crew worked frantically to get the ship primed for flight.
"Sir," said the comm officer, "I'm getting an alien message comming from a planet in this sector."
Drakor reviewed the message. "Ba! Engage engines!" The Black Pearl jumped to warp in pursuit of her prey...

With another ship returning their message, Heomýrete worked fast to decipher ther language. Although a delay was clear, it was a short one, and a message was composed and sent back:
"Captain McCoy, I, Heomýrete, on behalf of my Emperor-Protector and the People of Egerakera, accept your proposal for peaceful trade. What does your domain have to offer the People of Whisper?"
--------------------------------
The generous gift of stellar knowledge from the Fighting Falcon was quickly spread among the Guardians and Libraries. Composing yet another response in the quite foreign language, he was abruptly interrupted by what appeared to be fighter between the Fighting Falcon and some vessel of related design and construction. Acting in the first virtue of the Guardians, to protect, weapons were extended to fire upon the hostile vessel in the distance. It was not long before both ships vanished, but that could not be the end. Quickly changing the message, Heomýrete send a high powered, multispace (supspace, hyperspace, and normal space) communication.
"Fighting Falcon do you require my support?"
