The Ascendant claim was already going extensive colonization by the Ascendants. The five core systems were effectively fully colonized, with massive shipyards being constructed in orbit, gigantic Xel'athi hives going across entire states along with tunnels connecting them, and the hidden, vast cities of the Ascendants taking up the other spaces, their tall, shining silver spires being hidden from any and all eyes. Fleets of ships gently moved through space as they patrolled the recent expansion of the Ascendancy. Vast fleets of transports continued to move through the expanse of space, moving to secure the systems they had been given by the Prates as soon as possible. They hadn't even given thought to the fact that it might be home to someone else, someone who had already been there. They simpy continued on their march to colonize all that they had.

While they gathered the ships and supplies needed for another burst of colonization, the Ascendants began constructing the massive defense station arrays with which they can defend their systems and cut down the amounts of ships needed to patrol the systems. After several hours, with the skeletons of the defense stations began to take shape, the fleet phased out and began their journey to the next part of their claim.

Uiri System Zeta

A large fleet of transports suddenly phased into the dimension, with a force of ten Xel'athi Dreadnaughts providing the workforce, and five Ascendant ships appeared in the space and began scanning for habitable planets and/or planets with rich amounts of mineral deposits.

While they were scanning, massive amounts of interceptors, along with a small force of Archlord fighters which were sent throughout the system, to try and expedite the scanning process.

OOC: Short, but not much I can say.

OOC: Assuming it is Zeta1 & Telrosians can't pick up infrasound.
IC:

The Uir were soon aware of extracluster intruders and asked for the name of the ship and the name of the captain. The natives of Uir Alpha1's speech was not audible by the alien's speech. There was a written message sent instead, hoping perhaps by some coincidence it may be understood:

|m:w'mg:v:'w f's:xp', lp'\h' :w'mg:v; r/|jh'pv.

OOC: BUMP for Telros' reply.

The Ascendants quickly picked up the message and began to read it. The strange mix-up of letters and symbols of the message made no sense, and all the Ascendants could think of was that it was some kind of code, or was in a language that could not be understood. They cautiously powered up weapons, shields and prepped their fighters, while the Ascendants began sending a psionic call throughout the system.

"Attention, aliens. This is Telrosian Ascendancy, and we are here to colonize the claim given to us by the Pratian authority. State your nation and your business here."

OOC: Assuming they can print out psionic messages...and they can decode fast enough.
IC:

The print out looked strange enough, it was completely understandable with the foreign symbols at random intervals. Removing them though made it look...still strange. But atleast it looked like code. An easy cipher is to put the first and last letter switched, 2nd and 2nd last, etc. It was soon cracked except for what normally would have been characters which weren't present. They searched through all of them and then they quickly sent a reply:

"Nice code, Telrosians. We are natives of Uir Alpha1 d, the fourth planet in a system not too far from here. We have been here for the past 518,400,000 moments and have control over tri-systems Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon and Zeta. This is Zeta1. We are simply looking out for alien lifeforms like yourselves. We too are aliens here, I suppose, but it is still Confederacy territory. We do not know of these Pratians."

The Ascendants were surprised; there was another race living in their claim? How could the Pratians not have known about this? Shaking the thought off, they responded to the Uir.

"Greetings, Uir. We are the Ascendants; we were invited by the Pratian government, who found this massive cluster of systems, and agreed to let us colonize a portion of it. We have begun expanding into the portion we were given, and we found you. We have no idea how they missed you."

"Decode," ordered the communications officer. The message, written in Uir script with the same meaning appeared on the screen. He read it and write a reply. The reply was then encoded and sent:

You are the first lifeforms other than ourselves that we have met. I suppose you did not recieve or understand our oral message and neither our written one? Again, we do not know the Pratians and think that they probably failed to search for life within the systems. I hope that we may live on as we always have without interference.
