1700-1917 Colony of Russia
1917 due to the communist revolution in Russia anti communist forces occupy the island and install a crackpot anti communist dictator
1941 Island occupied by fascists puppet regime installed, rebels led by Boris Groza fight in resistance
1944 Red Army liberate island provision government formed under Groza
1946 Nation declares itslef a Peoples Republic
1950-1965 Industrialization drive see's moderate economic growth
1967 President Groza initiates a relaxed brand of communism allowing free travel abroad, limited free market, limited free speech and other liberal reforms while still keeping a grip on power.
1971 Constitution modified to become a Socialist Federal Republic of Bulkania
1978 Groza names Victor Stanov to succeed him when he dies
1975-1982 economy stagnates, Groza ill, dies in hospital in 1982
Victor Stanov sworn in as president, he promises to continue with the liberal relaxed communism and to keep the 3 different ethnic groups together
1990's becuase its policy not to rely on the USSR it is not effected as much by the fall of the USSR.
1996 Bulgislavia and Bulkania sign mutual friendship and economic pacts
2008 Current presently on track. economy is nicely and steadily growing and Bulkanians have more freedoms then thier allies in Bulgislavia
