"Thanks. I've been to Shemsu-Hor (ooc: no longer exists) and to our military base in Zaheran, and I'll most likely have to accompany the emperor to Upper Highlands when the war is over. I never would have guessed this is your first diplomatic mission, you did manage to impress me with your 'diplomatic' skills.", Claudia replied and gave Arnold a wink.

Arnold grinned after he heard Claudia's comment; he knew what she meant. "Your diplomatic skills are impressive, Claudia; I do not think you could have been any better than you were. Perhaps we can have another 'diplomatic meeting' one day."

"I'll have a 'meeting' with you anyday.", Claudia said and lit a cigarette. After inhaling she continued: "We could have more of these 'meetings' when this conference is over."

"That sounds good to me, Claudia. It will be a pleasure to have a 'meeting' with you again; any day."

"You too, you too. By the way, is Neo-Ixania a Christian nation?"

"We suffered a bloody civil war started by christians, and the ones who weren't sent to slavery are still conducting terrorist attacks every now and then. Those fools think the emperor is going to release their leader. Also, my parents we're killed by christian terrorists. If you consider yourself to be christian, I can live with that."

"The majority religion of Neo-Ixania is Christianity but there are other religions that exist in my nation. Why do you ask?"

"Yeah, of course. Anything specific you'd like to know?"

"It is sad to hear that your parents were killed; I give you my condolences. I do not really believe in any religion, Claudia. Claudia, can I ask about slavery in your nation?"

"Who are the people made slaves in your nation? Why is slavery legal? Do you have any slaves?"

"Mostly people who commit crimes more serious than robbery are sent to slavery, and of course the ones who commited war crimes during the civil war. Slavery is legal because the work they do leaves more men available for other than logistic duties in the military, and the empire has to punish criminals.", Claudia replied. She hesitated a little before continuing: "Umm... I've got a slave. I hope it doesn't mean we can't be together."

Obviously reliefed (sp?), Claudia said "That's good to hear. You don't mind me worshipping Apophis, right?"

Arnold listened to Claudia explain slavery in her nation and understood why her nation would legalize slavery; he was not surprised that Claudia had a slave. "Claudia, you may have a slave but it does not mean we cannot be together."

The kiss was surprisingly good, Ericka thought. She watched as the Captain took the bottle, only partly wondering if he was going to just toss off half the bottle. Ericka waited to see what exactly he'd do with the bottle.

"Also good to hear...", Claudia said while playing with her pendant, the symbol of Apophis, with her fingers. "Should we go get new drinks?"

The kiss was surprisingly good, Ericka thought. She watched as the Captain took the bottle, only partly wondering if he was going to just toss off half the bottle. Ericka waited to see what exactly he'd do with the bottle.

"Yes; I like my women lively but I was only curious when I asked if you wanted some absinthe. We can get two glasses of wine."

Arnold ordered two glasses of wine and smiled at Claudia. "You are a good woman, Claudia. Beautiful, smart and charming. I must say that the best part of this summit has been you."

"The same can be said about you, Arnold." Claudia replied and kissed him briefly.

Stever, drunk to the boot by now, bumbed into Arnold. "Hello, Mr. Ackermann. Enjoying yourshelfff?"

Arnold smiled after Claudia kissed him and then looked at Stever. "Claudia, Stever is drunk. He must have had too many drinks; he may embaress himself, you and your nation."

"Whhat? I'm not drunk, and a civil war veteran shhhould have the righhht to be drunk whenever he wants to." Stever pulled his left sleeve up, revealing severe chemical burns. "Shee? I got 60% body burns in the civil war, when the christian scum filled my bunker with burning phosphorus."

"Colonel Stever, your personal sacrifices have been noticed by the emperor. Now, you'll go to your quarters to sober up.", Claudia said to Stever, clearly irritated. "And what if I don't?", he asked with a drunken smile on his face.

"I'll make sure you'll never be a general. Oh yes, Gerhard values my opinions as well."

Reluctantly Stever left the room.

Arnold silently listened to Stever talk to Claudia. After Stever left the room, Arnold smiled at Claudia. "I accept your apology, Claudia. Now, can you give me more information about Apophis? It was interesting to see the chemical burns on Stever's arm. Claudia, do you have any information about the cuisine of your nation?"

"I'm biased, of course, but the cuisine is a great mixture of German, Japanese and Spanish foods, my favorite being paella. I'll have my slave cook it for us when you get to visit me." Claudia said with a smile on her face. "What about Apophis?"

"Well, for the ancient Egyptians he was the god of darkness and chaos, but for us he's the god of prosperity. He's treated me well during my life, and I like to think that I carry him with me in this pendant."

"It would make me glad to be able to eat some of your nation's food; including paella. As for Apophis, I want you to tell me more about him; give me the basic information, Claudia."

"Apophis is an interesting deity; once the god of darkness and chaos and now a god of prosperity."

"Yeah, he is. After everything he's done for us, the christian scum have the nerve to say he's a false god."

"They killed my parents, and are responsible for the death of millions during the civil war. How could I not hate them for what they've done?"

"Well, we sacrifice food and money to him at his temple in Neu Berlin. The food and money then go to charity."

"Thank you for giving me information about Apophis, Claudia. Also, do you have the authority to sign a treaty? If so, we can sign a treaty that will make me the ambassador to your nation. I am sure that Ivan Rucinsky, Neo-Ixania's Foreign Minister; who is here at the summit, will support the treaty."

"I'll have to ask the Emperor", Claudia said, took out her cellphone, selected the emperor's office from her speed dial and after about 10 minutes of waiting, the emperor answered.

"My lord, I apologize for disturbing you. I've met a promising diplomat here, and I'd like your permission to sign a treaty of his nation setting up an embassy and him becoming his nation's ambassador. We already sent Ivanova to their nation. Thank you, my lord."

Smiling like she never had before, she said "Now I do."

John, his thirst growing larger and larger every time he saw some one with a drink, asked Jim and Francis, "Jim, Francis, are you men thirsty, as I sure as hell am, I haven't drunken any thing since the flight here almost six hours ago. I am not the type to get drunk so don't be worried."

"I must thank you for talking to the Emperor on my behalf, Claudia and thank him for accepting the treaty. I can sign the treaty now if you want, Claudia."

"I wouldn't be surprised if they do. No worries. They will just say King David has nothing to do with them, and condemn you for a ruthless slaughter. How did that Civil War come about any way?"

John stood and put his hand in his pocket with another pointing at Jim. "No need, wait a minute I will go grab some, what would you like, I am craving a nice bottle of vodka."

"Vermouth, wonderful, I'll be the designated driver so I drink a bit less." said John chuckling and then he walked off over to the bar and grabbed three bottles of vodka and a bottle of vermouth.

"Our two nations have unfortunately not had optimal relations in the past. I wish to speak with you when you get the time regarding the future interactions between our countries, that the aforementioned trend may hopefully be discontinued."

"Oh yes I have a moment, say what you need to say my friend." said John as he placed the bottles back upon the table from which they came from. "What do you need to say," John's face started to turn pale and he began have a saddened face as he took to steps back, "This isn't about what Michael did. I am sorry about all of the attempts of agression upon you and the Hegemony. He was going crazy, we had to place him in a loney bin. He was let out, but killed momentarily after he stepped foot out of it."

"Oh yes I have a moment, say what you need to say my friend." said John as he placed the bottles back upon the table from which they came from. "What do you need to say," John's face started to turn pale and he began have a saddened face as he took to steps back, "This isn't about what Michael did. John's face brightened up again he stepped back to where he was and said, "Ah, actually, that has been on my mind for a while. That would make a large part of my citizens happy, but then again would bring me back to square one, with more enemies such as the people of Vontanas. I have gotten the CA to cease their hatred to the Hege, they just over look it now. But our rejoining would result in our in-ability for conquest through war, and my actions against DoubleWideville would have to cease making us a target for them which we have been since we intervened a little bit back. Any way I thought us to be a bit of a 'secret member'. I mostly have good relations with the members of the Hegemony, I have no problems with Greal, Zoingo, Cazelia, Calizorinstan, and the rest. I don't like The OoA but I can put up with them. That is if they are even still members, they signed the charter and I haven't seen them since. Here come with me, we could talk with Francis and Jim." John picked up the bottles and walked over to the spot where Jim and Francis still were. He placed the bottles upon a table then sat down and motioned for Lord Sumguy to do the same.

"You are correct as to what you view as disadvantages, it would indeed not be permitted to create an empire through conquest should you rejoin, but a nation certainly not need gain power and greatness through the destruction and oppresion of others, there are many roads to such an end which include more...ethical means. As for enemies, I fear you are not veiwing the whole picture. You would aslo gain many allies as a member of GOOD, such as Akimonad and Vetalia, both former enemies of the Hegemony, as well as the entirety of the CN, UFAN, and FWA. Vontanas is no longer a threat either, ahving merged with Vetalia into a single empire. In that regard, I beleive the gains far outweigh the losses." After John left, Jim pulled his flask from his pocket, and decided to start early. He took a swig from the flask, and returned it to his pocket as John returned, with a guest. "Ah, you found some Vermouth, thank you," he said, as he grabbed the bottle and poured himself a glass. "Who's our new friend?" asked Jim before downing the glass in one gulp, before refilling it.

“It would seem we didn’t miss any real meeting . . . they are just mingling.”

“Ah,” the Emperor responded quietly, “But mingling is an important part of these matters—some rather personal connection, allows people to empathize, to sympathize with one another more when the meeting gets going.”

They walked in amongst the other delegations.

President Jon Hay noticed the delegation from Errikland walking through the crowd.

“Donald, important business calls,” he said to the Secretary for Defence.

The two men placed their drinks down and brushed off the front of their suits. This was no longer a social call. Jon walked up to the emperor, who he recognised from briefings and held out his hand.

“Greeting your highness, I don’t believe we’ve met in person before. I am Jon Hay, President of the Googleistic Democracy of Googlewoop and this is Donald Ducksfelt, my Secretary for Defence.”

The President’s tone was now as formal as his manner. He had a job to do for his country straightening out the mess that Googlewooper/Errikland relations had become due to recent ‘diplomatic’ exchanges during the Aligurian affair.

Ericka downed her half of the bottle, and handed the empty bottle back to the Captain. The thought of playing Strip Poker with the Captain occurred to her, but she hadn't brought any cards with her. Finding an AM/FM radio in the room, she changed the station to one that was playing what she thought to be appropriate 'mood music.' The kiss that the Captain had given her earlier was just fine, but she had been expecting... more.

Arnold studied the paper for several minutes before he signed it with a smile on his face; giving the paper to Claudia so he could watch her sign it.

Now as for what you said Mr. Sumguy, hopefully you won't mind that, I wish I could call you by your real name. Any way, about what you said, I do not oppress, really, we conquer, and leave it be, just raise a flag, they do what they wish, and if they were dictatorships, they have more rights then before. As for the mentioning of Vetalia, they are currently located in the region Greston is in, and we have become allies from just that. I would love to rejoin, just can you tell me the laws in the charter about wars, so that I can fully make a decision. I just want to know that if we may declare a state of war, just no conquering, I could easily live with that. Or if we are only allowed to aid an ally in a time of war."

Ivan Rucinsky looked at the other delegates who were attending the summit; knowing this was a good time to establish diplomatic relations with other nations. As he looked, he noticed Ericka Tregre and decided that he would talk to her first. "I am Ivan Rucinsky; the Foreign Minister of Neo-Ixania. It is nice to meet you here at this summit? You are....?"

While the Captain from Imperial Isa was still drinking, Ericka took a moment to explore the airship, ending up back in the meeting room. She spotted another man walking toward her, and he seemed like a friendly enough sort.

"I am Ivan Rucinsky; the Foreign Minister of Neo-Ixania. It is nice to meet you here at this summit? You are....?"

"I am Ericka Tregre, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Free Republic of Lamoni," she said while shaking his hand. "I have heard of your nation, and I believe that our Foreign Minister is currently enjoying a vacation in your nation at the moment. It is a pleasure to meet you."

"Tanya Ley is currently enjoying a vacation in Neo-Ixania. That is true. Miss Tregre, it is a pleasure to meet you. If you are not busy, perhaps we can talk about diplomatic relations between our nations."

Ivan thought that Ericka was beautiful but thought that his wife appealed to him more. However, he would not discard this opportunity to talk to her; hoping that he could make sure that Lamoni and Neo-Ixania were friends.

"Certainly. I would love to visit your country someday. Tanya says that it is absolutely beautiful there. As I understand it, the Free Republic has a trade pact with your nation. What are you proposing?"

"We can arrange a visit to Neo-Ixania for you, Miss Tregre. I am here to propose an alliance between our nations."

You would receive aid from, and would be obligated to give aid to, all Hegemony members in wartime. "That quikly? You chug your vermouth down, slow down a bit, I haven't even past the neck of my bottle, I will be drinking the same bottle untill tomorrow at the pace I drink liqour. Lord Sumguy, would you mind some vodka, two bottles left? Any way on to the name, it isn't Hegemonian, and Hegemonian I don't think is a word. It is his title among many other titles he has been given. Also, may be I shall, it seems that every one will need to sleep some time so tomorrow morning I have an answer about the question in which to re-join the Hegemony, the third time. It started as rioting and protests, such as the one that is currently happening in you nation, Jim. Needless to say they went mad, and started holding many large areas hostage. It became a massacre in many areas, and the first group of soldiers to get there was a small scattered squad of infantry. There was only three of them. Two died in the battle there, the other one, dieing in our second largest city Jast. Unlike you revolts, it was against good and against religions. We thwarted them off in the end, but with the death of two of our first presidents, and loosing our honor in less then a year on the international stage.

OOC: This may seem as if it is a god mode, but John has some martial arts training, and being as I happen to be a Second Degree black belt in Hap Ki Do and Tae Kwon Do, I happen to know some self defense moves.

Insticntively as the fist came towards him, John, after training in the martial arts for 5 years, went into the fourth defense combo he had learned as a red belt. He went to the left putting both of his hands upon Stever's arm, then all the while spinning backwards, put Stever's arm behind his back and started pushing up. The very painful move could easily have broken Stever's arm but John decided not to go that far, but still pushing up, straining the man's muscles.

Ericka felt like she needed some water to help against the Vodka that she'd already had.

After using the restroom, but before she got out of the facilities, Ericka checked her CD-5. She had two messages. One of them was from Imperial Isa. It was pretty much what she expected it to be.

The other message was from her government. It instructed her to head to Neo-Ixania at the request of her boss, Foreign Minister Tanya Ley. She was to assist Tanya in her negotiations with that nation.

With all of this in mind, Ericka left the restroom, noting that the Captain from Imperial Isa was standing there at the door.

'as you went about your job i got a call about you from home" James say to Ericka taking one last look of her from head to toe

"Let me guess, would this be something about my call to them? I can't stick around here; I have been ordered to Neo-Ixania in order to assist the Foreign Minister with negotiations there."

"nice meeting you Ericka would like to get to know you more and what they say i guess you got ask me at our embassy Neo-Ixania as i'am taking over from Officer going home due to death in his family" said James then turn and starts to walk then stops

"if you are packed you could get a ride to Neo-Ixania with me" he add over his shoulder

"You just became Imperial Isa's ambassador to Neo-Ixania? Congratulations. As much as I might enjoy going to Neo-Ixania with you, my government is sending a diplomatic jet for me. So the question is, do you want to come with me?" Ericka was pretty sure that he just wanted to be around her some more.
