Kirav
22-01-2008, 22:45
At High Noon today, Emperor Kexarin Sylvanus Hibernius Raincedar announced his resignation from the Imperacy.
Sèr Raincedar was responsible for bringing Kirav onto the world stage, and signed alliances and treaties with several nations and organisations. Under his rule, with the acquisition of New Harbour, Karesta, Kiro-Antarctica, and Austro-Africa, the Empire reached its greatest extent. He was also responsible for the founding of the KC, and sponsored the unification of Kirav and Pictavia into the Silver Imperium.
When questioned by the press as to the purpose of his resignation, he replied, "A man has a duty to three things in life: Country, Faith, and Clan. For the past decade I have served my country as Governor-General and Emperor. I served my faith as a missionary in Neuthena before that. Now it is time to serve my clan by committing to a family."
By custom, Emperor Raincedar is officially relieved of duty at dusk tomorrow.
Until the Clan Electorate selects a new Emperor, the administration of Kiravia shall be undertaken by Prime Minister Särden Evergreen.
