Somewhere in the Ocean

Five Greal Dragon Class Destroyers (Plus a couple of cargo and supplies ships) were "patrolling" in the middle of nowhere. The flagship of the patrol group, Goman, was leading the ships. On board, Captain Peterson watched the seas. For days now, his fleet lost radio communications, luckily it was almost fixed, so he was worried about that. What the captain was worried about was the hurricane that blew them off course, they were supposed to be in Womer port by now, but they were stuck in the middle of nowhere. That was troublesome.

The Goman had suffered slight damage during the hurricane, but that was fixed hours after the hurricane disappeared. The fleet continued to move further away from Greal, though they had no idea that they were moving away from Greal. Finally, later that night, the radio was fixed.

Captain Peterson went into the "radio" room, 2 men were inside were adding wires to the radio.

"Is it ready?"asked Captain Peterson.

"Yes sir, its ready for use."answered one of the men in the room.

"Good, now send out a message saying--"said the captain, then he was interrupted by a man shouting "LAND!". The captain ran out of the room and to his surprise, saw land. For years he heard rumors of another continent somewhere in the ocean. He didn't believe them, but now it was real.

"Amazing!"shouted one of the crew.

He looked into the ocean and saw a whales, fish and all kinds of marine animals. This was a paradise.....

"As I was saying, send a message to Sasha saying that the fleet is intact, but we discovered a "continent"...."said the Captain.

2 weeks later.......

The Continent was named Goman, named after the ship that discovered the continent. It was discovered that dozens of ship wreck survivors actually lived on the island, and there was many resources around the Continent. 2 Islands were also discovered off the coast of Goman, The island that Greal took over was named Watson island, the other island had a unknown name. Greal quickly claimed a oil rich portion of the Continent, and and named the colony in Gamon called Relgo. The Greal Government decided to let the world have the rest of the Continent. 300,000 Greal troops and people were going to fill the place.

A Greal naval fleet 2 weeks ago has discovered a unknown continent, which we named Gamon. Greal has already claimed some part of the Continent, but we are willing to let you have the rest. There are resources all over the island, so even if you choose a small part, you will find resources there also. There are plenty of fish off the coast. We have discovered no natives in Gamon, so its a empty continent.

It is with great Pleasure that ICCD wishes to open territorial negotiations. We seem to have common interest, and ICCD is interested in mutual sharing of the disputed territories under a panel of arbitrators. Or Consuls one from each of our territories. To administer the area, and determine adequette governance for the area.

It may also be of benifit to back one another on this new continent against any undesired aggressors.

This meeting had so far been going like all of the others. The board had the usual intra-regional diplomacy to dispute over, as well as sort out some of the developments by R&D. However, something rather more interesting was about to develop.

A messenger garbed in a dark gray uniform emblazoned with the DRC logo opened the mahogany door in a sudden flurry of motion. The two guards on the inside of the door lowered their weapons when they saw who the intruder was. All of the heads at the table snapped to the door, and the low murmur of international diplomacy ceased for a moment. "Sir, we just got reports of a new continent discovered by some nation known as 'Greal'. Seems they stumbled upon it with a small fleet, and now it's open for colonization." The individual at the head of the masterfully-crafted table let out a sigh. He was in his fifties, and was wearing an exceptional suit. "Why is it that continents keep being discovered? I'd have thought that it would have been noticed by now. Ah, well. Such is the way. Let's dispatch a request for territory, then." With that the Board of Directors of the DRC set to work making their claim...

The DRC would like to put forth a claim upon this new island. This territory will be used for a source of natural resources, as well as a potential naval base away from home. Our colony intends to establish massive harvesting operations, and has minimal interest in collaborating with other colonies on anything but that which will improve harvesting efficiency. The territory we seek is that immediately above the holdings of Imperial Isa, on the spur of land jutting to the east.

It seems my original claim has been caught in a woodchipper, because my original claim of the boxy area has been reduced to a strange strip of northern coast. I would like this area instead. Grey can have the current brown area.

You are allowed, how much land do you want?

A small area in the north east of the peninsula on the south coast. Then i was thinking of founding a small port further east on the south coast but with no land connection to the rest of the colony(where there looks like there is a cross and where there is some kind of green border)
