We, the Free and Sovereign Nation of Aniane, do hereby on this day in the Year of our Lord Call this Convention of all Nations of the World to create an International Organization Dedicated against the Will of the United Nations.

We have far to long, along with many other Nations Stood Idlely as the United Nations has forced many nations into there ways, they have impinged and suppressed the rights of the Free Nation-State to the Point that the UN has as much control over a nation as the Nation has over itself.

Therefore, we send this call out to all nations of the World to Convene here at this conference to form an Organization that is run by the Nations of Nation-States for those Nations Mutual Prosperity and to Preserve there Sovereign Liberty's.

Besides the fact all you're doing is making another UN?

You are welcome, we will set sail immediately to make it on time.

Hmm... not gonna turn out that well for you guys... 3 vs. 17,551(as of Jan. 20th, 2008) nations. Also, the UN members join voluntarily, and get to vote on what goes(~1% of all ideas submitted) or what stops(the other 99). There's rogue nations that do what they want without interference, and people respect(don't give a damn) it because it's really their choice(doesn't really matter to them).

If a few independent nations form together to make a group, doesn't that null the independence of the nations?

When the Convention begins in Ten Days, we will address all of these concerns.

Nicolas Villa had enough trouble with rebuilding his nation after perhaps the bloodiest civil war in Mokan history when this invitation came in.

Heres the Schedule, in 9.5 days the Convention Convenes, once it does we quickly elect a president of the convention and a Secretariat, that should take one-two days then we get to business.

While I am unsure if my nation be interested in joining this group I will be sending my representative in my place to attend this conference to gain a better understanding of what exactly this group is about, as the vague explanation you provided has left us confused and somewhat discouraged at joining.

I will give this group a chance. Except a member of the Black Imperium to attend.

Vista Buena refers to itself as The Democratic States in formal usage. All conventional (and short form) usage remains as Vista Buena.

Six more Days until the Actual Convention Everyone, lets try to get more people!

The Community would like to send an observer.

"We do understand your concerns. That why our mother nation, SilentScope003, previously was a member of the Gatesville alliance (http://s4.invisionfree.com/antiUN), and is currently a member of the Antarctic Oasis (http://www.nationstates.net/-1/page=display_region/region=antarctic_oasis), both alliances somewhat anti-UN and acting as a lobby to get rid of very bad resolutions that harms nations in the long term. Even now, we stand fully in favor of national soveringty and ensuring the NSUN limits itself to affairs of purely international signifiance.

However, as we are indeed a member of the NSUN, and believe that the NSUN actually has a role in making the world a better place. We also point out that the NSUN's charter specifically bans it having a military force or banning any ideology whatsoever.

We feel that the NSUN is not actually strong at all, and that your rhetoric seems ill-informed. If you are in the NSUN, you follow all their resolutions. If you are not, you don't. Simple. I am exteremly shocked that all these nations who are joining this anti-UN alliance are not, in fact, in the UN, and therefore, not informed of all the limitations of UN power.

I hope this isn't due to our recent embargo on all slave nations that the NSUN recently passed. We campagined against that embargo, but we realize that most nations wouldn't trade with slave nations anyway, with or without a UN resolution on the matter. We also admittingly have The Permenta Panel that can authorize humanitarain interventions, but it is commonly acknowledged to be a mistake, the TPP rarely meets, if at all, and the NSUN is in the process of repealing that piece of trash. Other than that, I cannot understand why would anyone seek to create an organization with the expressed purpose of going against the NSUN. Except if it is just cynical rhetoric done to help secure power to your nation via the creation of a huge alliance, but that's just utterly silly.

This nation cannot, in good consicence, join up with the 'Free and Indepedenet Nations'. However, we will send an observer to watch the meeting and...ahem...see what is going on."

3 more Days until the Conventions Beginning everyone, come prepared to have a lengthy one.

Kinson Taz stretched out in his jazz-age desk chair, his long and lanky frame flowing all over it. He pressed a button on his desk.

"Mary, can you come in?"

Mary Wells, his secretary and close confidant, entered from the outer room.

"What's up, Kinsy?"

"There's an anti-UN conference getting ready to be held. We're a UN state, but I think it's important that we send a small group to the proceedings. Something important may come out of this and I'm betting most of our UN-allies will just ignore it."

"You'd like me to prepare the appropriate memo?"
