I've spent a around an hour working on a crappy map that probably would have taken most of you 10 minutes. I did this because I don't like using real world geography. I've created my own nation and therefore, I want my own climate and my own geography. In doing so I've created a continent and I'm offering people the chance to claim land as their homeland. I'm currently only accepting those who need a homeland. After I get neighbours I may allow one or two small colonies, maybe more If I have land to fill. Anyways, I'm looking for semi active players but this isn't going to be an ongoing RP type thing. I just want neighbours that won't have dropped of the face of the earth in six months. I'll check for inactivity and in the future I may reopen this and get rid of my inactive neighbours. If you want to interact with neighbours, create a thread for it.

Guideline/Notes

- Please add yourself to the map. If you absolutely can't, give a rough description and I or some other nice person will add you. I'd really like it if you could add rivers and cities.

- Please don't chose massive amounts of land. I don't have a scale but my nation is roughly the size of Russia if that helps.

- Your free to chose your own climate and geography. Please try to keep it consistent with your neighbours. For example, if your neighbour is a desert region, that doesn't mean lush forests start growing right at your border.

- No colonies as of yet. Stay active.

I'm reluctant to give the whole bay, being as its pretty large. I gave you a small section plus the islands. If you really want more, I'll expand it farther inland or give you a very thin plot that stretches across most of the bay. Once you decide exactly what you want, I'll give you some rivers. Are you going to want many of just a few?

The continent is in the place of South America. So yes, some of its coastline is the Pacific.

If you still want a colony Mok, you can have one. Also, I'm giving a colony to the next person who posts and says they want one. The only restriction is they can't directly border my nation.

My rendition of my area with dots as towns and squares as fortifications.

I also believe that at the center of the continent we should have a neutral site where we can discuss treaties, trade and other stuff like that. This is up to you Orbath but I think it would be a good idea if we are going RP with these countries.

I don't mind having a territory next to you.

Its an interesting idea but how long do you think an open plot of land would last on a real continent. I'm open to Rping... diplomacy, character RP, maybe even a border dispute but I don't think I'll leave a neutral area. Oh, and you selection of land looks good.

individual basis? why cant we just ask Orbath how much land we can colonize and take it? I would like to RP with these nations once the map is pretty much filled out. But we have to wait for Orbath to do so.

well like if some1 I have a bad history with *cough* (Greston, Dun Eiddian) *cough* wanted to colonise I would vote no. Then if we all voted not to alow them to colonise then we could get a good old natives vs. colonist war going!:)

Its not too late, draw on rivers and important cities as well as borders with MS paint.

To those discussing colonization. I'm not going to allow much, if any colonization. If, I can't get more people onto the map, even after opening it for outside colonization, I will allow you to expand your borders. As OP, I will allow anyone to colonize, anywhere, except against my nations borders because I would like to have actual nations bordering me. This isn't meant to be a colonization thread, an RPing thread or an earth thread, it is purely OOC to get your nation a place on the map. If you choose to create a new thread to war with your neighbours or have diplomatic talks, fine by me.

I'm really really hoping for more people to join, that's why I kept it open for so long. Lets say, this time next week, the map will be fully open for colonization from outside people, then, after a few days, I'll open it to the rest of us. I'm still going to limit the land sizes because I don't want someone to have utterly massive amounts of land.

thats understandable. I wouldnt want people to have huge land masses either. I think we should just go around and take a little bit in like a draft format.

OOC: This continent is now open to a select number of colonies, likely three or four, not including those who already hold land. Those who hold land may also claim a colony. The only restriction is that a colony cannot directly border my nation. Please add yourself to the map and be sensible.

hey man...how if i had some land that wasnt really a colony or my "home" land, like say that old Mokastana and this "territory" United to one nation. If that makes any sense.

Here I'm going to post everything about my nation.
Climate: The water, and largest island are always incredebly hot. The rest of the nation is temperate.
Geography: On the largest Island there is a massive volcano and continuous water flow. The volcano is underneath most of the bay and is ressponsible for the incredebly hot water, and island where it's main vent is. The country's land borders are surrounded by a nearly impassible mountain and volcano chain. There are only three ways through the chain, and all are heavily guarded by upwards of 150,000 men.The mountains are so high that no fighter can pass over them, unless through one of the passes or 5 other well guarded low spots.
