Breaking News from Mondoth City
The Former Republic of Mondoth today announced the finalization of a change in government that has reportedly been taking place over the last several years in a release titled "The Declaration of Freehold"
Among other things, the document dismantles the Parliament, Prime Ministry and even the judicial system of the former government, stating "When a system of government no longer serves its citizens, it is a moral imperative for the people that inhabit that system to force a change" In their place, the document calls for citizens to establish local commissions and register with a new national regulatory body that takes the place of the former national government. The change was proctored by a coalition of the Mondothian Military Chiefs, former Political Leaders and 'Citizen Prefects', all behind internationally closed doors. Officials of the new government say that the changes were not easy, but that as regions established their local commissions things quickly settled down and that now that the national registry is complete, the new system has operated without serious incident for three months, a date established as the first of many bench marks for the new system, without serious incident.
Officials of the new system say that the founding documents of and regulations of the freehold will soon be made available for international review but for now, the documents will remain closed from international scrutiny while internal processes complete a review and revise period as part of the three month benchmark.
