First Lady Rosalynn Patterson looked on as White Palace staff and workers set up the state-dining room for a state dinner for heads of state and heads of government. The First Lady had been asked by her husband Prime Minister Jack Patterson to set up this state dinner.

Cooks prepared food of other ninety-eight nations for all heads of state or government to enjoy. The First Lady wanted this dinner to be perfect as this was the first international state dinner held at the White Palace for fiffty-two years and now under a new government countries could have a new relationship with the Second United Kingdom.

Prime Minister Patterson looked for the dining room and smiled as workers went past him.

"Rosalynn this is perfect. I feel where ready to send out the invites right now. Hopefully we can start our goal for the future of this nation".

Newly elected Prime Minister Jack Patterson and his wife First Lady Rosalynn Patterson would like to invite Heads of States or Government to have a state government with the Prime Minister, his wife and members of the UK2 House of Commons.

"Hey Taz!" co-leader Daniel Oxford called from the office over.

"Why do you call me Taz, my last name, when I call you Daniel, your first name?" Taz replied, looking up from his morning reading (the comics page). "And besides, I was just getting to the Get Fuzzy punchline."

"Because Kinson is a really strange first name, that's why." Daniel strode into the room, his dense, lineman like frame hanging halfway through the doorway. "How'd you like to do dinner?"

"McDonald's is fine, I'm on a budget."

"No, no a State Dinner. The Second UK is inviting us."

"John Wetton reuinted his old band?"

"Can you be serious for five minutes, please?"

"Only if I have to, and only when there's a TV camera."

"Well, I'm sure they'll have cameras. And plenty of them. Anyway, I think one of us should go, and I'm needed here to plot some strategy for the newest session of the Litter. Plus, you're better at the social thing. You'll fit right in, making bad jokes and kissing all the ladies' hands. Can I count on you to appear for us?"

"Sure, why not, as long as you promise to save the comic sections while I'm gone."

"I'll take that as a yes, and let them know."

A sigh passed the lips of the young Premeir as he sat overlooking the waterfalled garden of his palace, a palace that for countless centuries had been the home to many legendary Emporers. And to be honest he felt... well, bored more than anything. Raito had gotten into politics rather indirectly as a part of a far greater plan to perfect the world; and the trivial day to day affairs, the trade agreements, the exact codifications of minor points of laws all rather bored him. True, he passed a lot of such work onto his ministers, but even so, nothing happened of any real interest.

A part of him was almost nostalgic for the days in which he was being hunted by the world at large as a 'serial killer'. What a laughably naive view; and yet, though his life were on the line at any given second back then, those times were truly enjoyable. At least then boredom was never an issue.

"My Lord," an older, uniformed Japanese man said with a respectful bow in Eastern fashion, "We've received word that the Government of the Second United Kingdom is holding a state dinner and inviting foreign dignitaries to it. The People's Republic of Tokyoni is, as you well know, a relatively new nation with few strong allies. It may be a good opportunity for us to make better contacts with the world at large."

Raito pursed his lips for a moment as if to say 'if I must', but then suddenly another thought occured. It would at least be an opportunity, an excuse, to leave all the trivial affairs he was normally stuck with here in Tokyo behind him.

"Alright, forward them a request for me to join them." Raito said, "Make sure I'm allowed to bring my bodyguards with; L was from that region, and it's possible he may yet have some terrorist supporters against me."

"It shall be done at once, my Lord," the advisor said, bowing, and turning to leave.

Five motorcades where waiting for the guests for the state dinner. Police officers and bodyguards where waiting for theirs guests and had shut off half of the airport off from the public for their guests.

It was a strange thought really, going to the land that was once home to a man that had nearly ruined everything Raito had fought for. Still, it was not fair to judge a nation by one radical individual who happened to be amongst its citizenry; such thoughts were illogical, and would only lead to bad relations if allowed to continue.

The flight in his personal hypersonic jet was uneventful, spent mainly with Raito in his personal chamber ensuring that his suit was properly arranged for the meeting. Looking over himself in the mirror once more, he sat down in the obseveration deck, several bodyguards also there.

A part of him wondered who else would be arriving; hopefully no ardent L or UN supporters, but that's what his bodyguards were for. A message came at last over the terminal. "My Lord, we have arrived at our destination, landing shall proceed within five minutes. The airport has now been informed of our arrival and is clearing us."

Raito nodded, still unable to see any land below them for all the clouds between them and the ground, though somewhat interested at the prospect of being in a foreign land. As the plane landed on the runway, quickly decelerating to a stop, the dignitary rose at the signal, walking down the extended staircase, surrounded on either side in front or behind by a bodyguard.

"Knowing you, I would be 90 by then." Geeta said "You know, this country really reminds me of my old home. I do think it would look like it."

A few minutes later, the jet landed on the UK2 International Airport, and after the plane docked in one of the gangways, Peter and Geeta walked out of the plane.

Raito strode forward, the bodyguards fanning out to the sides. "I'm honored to be invited to your nation." he said with a ceremonial Eastern bow.

Five black cars where waiting for them already. Guards and police stood every watching and listening for anything to happen.
