Government of the Republic of South Africa

The Republic of South Africa is a nation situated in the south of the African continent, as it’s name suggests. It is ruled by an ethnic white minority, utilizing a system of apartheid. Though over time the apartheid has become less strict, members of the African nativity still cannot hold the Office of State President or participate in the House of Assembly, part of the tri-cameral parliament and the seat of the majority of power. Afrikaans are given representation through the House of Representatives, and all other ethnic groups are given their representation through the House of Delegates. Allowing these two Houses of Parliament the veto against White legislation is a relatively recent event, and as a result of the newest State President, Mr. Christopher Blair.

History of South Africa


South Africa is among the oldest nations in the world, some of the oldest recorded human fossils have been discovered there. However civilization is a much more recent creation. Bantu tribes and Askari Bushmen have inhabited the lands for millenia, but in the middle eighteen fifties the Zulu tribes formed the Zulu Empire, the first semi-culturalised civilisation in the history of South Africa.

Dutch settlers had been in the region for longer, since the 17th century at the very latest. These men, later calling themselves Boers, made up the majority of white colonists until the latter 19th century with the increase in British involvement in the region, ultimately culminating in the Boer Wars of the late eighteen ninties.

South African Defense Force


The South African Defense Force is the military of the South African Republic. It answers directly to the State President, the Commander in Chief of the SADF, but is controlled by Chief of Staff General Johann Bothman.

It consists of three branches, the South African Army, South African Air Force, and the South African Navy. Each of these are independent entities, but frequently engage in combined arms operations where each branch cooperates with each other to complete their given objectives. They are an all volunteer force, well trained and equipped, however during war time conscription is an option in the event that the standing force is not able to compensate for casualties or in terms of military units in the field.

It looks very good. How do you make so many lists of military unit deployments?

I won't lie, most of them are real South African Military Units (the Brigades that is, while its likely the Divisions/Corps exist too, I did make those up), while some of the Brigades/Regiments are my own creation, albeit very few, maybe five to ten. As far as deployment, wherever I send the unit, I simply will put next to it with an asterisk where its located and what its doing. Soon I'm going to come up with unit lists and Tables of Organisation and Equipment for them too so everyone can know exactly what I've got.

Its a work in progress ;)
