Open Declaration

The Autocratic Federated Empire announces that a chain of islands, the Osmiu Islands (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y87/fahooglewitz1077/Maps/Colonize.png), are now available for colonization by foreign powers. The islands are rich in natural resources and raw materials, mainly in lumber, oil, and tropical fruits. Fishing is also permitted.

The existence of some ores or gems beneath the earth has not been confirmed.

Claims should be submitted to the Office of Colonial Affairs in Osmiu. Based on the claiming nation's history with Akimonad, the claim may or may not be granted.

There are, of course, some rules.

-A nation can claim up to three sections. They need not all be on the same island.
-Akimonad controls the island with no claims labelled on it.
-If your claim is denied, the decision is final.
-Military action or threats of action will not help you get your claim and will not be tolerated.
-Do not impede another nation's colonization.
-Claim grants can be rescinded by Akimonad at any time.

The Vetalian government would like to request the sections B1-B3 for the creation of Vetalian Osmiu.

If granted our claim, we will commence immediate construction of a new enclave, the city of Nosovgrad, which will eventually be capable of supporting a considerable population no smaller than several million. The primary purpose of this colony is to provide advanced manufacturing, financial investment, and trade opportunities for Akimonad as well as our fellow colonizing nations. As our citizens are well suited to life in tropical climates, we will be able to develop this territory with little or no difficulty.

In the event that raw materials are found, contracts will be freely awarded regardless of nationality, although taxes must be paid for all revenues generated on the territory's soil.

Official Statement from the Federal Republican Duchydom of Franberry

The Federal Republican Duchydom of Franberry hereby expresses its interest in the offer for colonization in the Osmiu Island Chain. We are greatly attracted by the promise of abundant natural resources, such as wood and fish, but our interest is especially in fruit.

Henceforth, we would like to offer our official application for the territories denominated by Akimonad as: N1, N2, N3 and N4. We hope that due to the warm relations that our nations have had in the past, that our request will be approved swiftly. These territories are to be called "Iberá"

The Incorporated States of DJ_Enduro would like to claim lots E4, E5, E10 & E11.
We are curious as to the legislative matters pending in the "acquirement" of said lots. We would like to request that said lots previously claimed are designated as districts of I.S.D. Our reasoning for this request is that in the event of military or civil unrest in the area it will occur on our (legislative) soil; leaving your hands free of the need for bloodshed or retaliation.

We would also like to inform you of our intentions of land usage:

Lots E4 and E5* will remain two separate entities for financial purposes. I will name the territories if required, but will allow you to title them if you wish. Each of the two territories will have a federally-owned port constructed on it's coast. Both territories will be allocated several districts of government housing and an embassy to I.S.D. will be constructed on the borders of said territories.

Concerning Lots E10 & E11*, we would like these two lots to be designated as a third region. The same offer of titling this region is extended to you. We will construct a third port on it's coastal area, allowing easier access from oceanic western ports to the eastern-inlet ports by way of rail or other land-based transportation. The third port will be restricted to local traffic, allowing only national vessels to access it's waterfront. The rest of this land will be allocated substantially more government housing than the previous two territories and the remaining land-mass will be zoned for agricultural purposes.

The Federation of Caelapes would like to colonize the regions currently designated S1 through S3. The Caelapene Ministry of Labor and Commerce have plans to develop inclusive vacation sites to encourage tourism and the economy of Caelapene Osmiu. Ports will be open to fishing vessels of all nations and the current geography will not be altered in any significant manner. The preservation of tropical beauty is of importance to the Ministry of the Interior.

A small border patrol will be established along the border between regions S1-S3 and S4-S6. These guardsmen will be armed with low-power submachine guns and semi-automatic pistols. There will be Arskutidie Qælapeo (Caelapene National Guard) posted at all ports and a small government office for security and aid. A branch of the Federal Police will be constructed to fight crime across the entirety of Caelapene Osmiu.

We hope these provisions are acceptable and are willing to negotiate if the Akimonadi government finds any portion to be otherwise.

As the Autocratic Federated Empire of Akimonad and the United Kingdom have, heretofore, had no relations, be them diplomatic or commercial, it is the position of His Majesty's Government that a colonial venture in the Osmiu Islands will be mutually beneficial to both parties, and by extension other third party nations.

Under the advisement of the Colonial Office, the United Kingdom should like to establish a settlement in the territories marked as C9, C10, and C11. Initial investments and settlements shall likely be small until survey teams report their findings and so the appearance of warships and small military forces, in comparison large to the civilian population, should not be interpreted as a threat to Akimonad holdings in the archipelago.

Should this request be approved, His Majesty's Government would be most appreciative of any information currently known about the claim. Additionally, it may be of further benefit to both nations to establish relations at a colonial level, if not full bilateral level.

Three Planes flew above the forest. Their objective - survey the land. Other groups did the same all over the latest additions to Weccanfeld's holdings, but this area was special. It was not clear to the pilots yet, but soon the entire fate of the indigenous peoples inhabiting this land would be decided.

One of these - Sēon 2 - was surveying the river, looking for evidence of humanity. He spotted the telltale signs of a settlement - plumes of smoke rising, boats on the river, most likely fishing - he had seen many different tribes before. He looked upon them with tired eyes - after seeing so many of these villages before, from the cold ice fields of Halako, to the Deserts of Komo and now the Jungles of Osmiu, he now grown used to the traditional Weccanfelt colonisation cycle - kill or incapitate the natives, chop down all the trees, suck the place dry of all oil, strip mine the remnants and finally use the place to store all manner of waste, toxic or not - sometimes, farms would be started as well.

As the plane flew over the village, some of the elders took it as a sign that bad times were to come.

They were right.

"This is Sēon 2, to the Ongyrwan - natives found near River 6, grid reference zero-eight-seven-six. Suggest use of village to determine plan for native peoples"

The planes were ordered to return to the flagship, and a hour or so later, a small boat began making it's way up the river.

The boat was a thinly disguised 40s PT Boat with the torpedoes removed to make way for crates. The cannon in front was covered with a layer of cloth to disguise it from the natives, and the deck-side machine guns had been removed for the same effect. They lay inside the boat itself, ready to be sprung on the natives if they refused to take the cargo.

A wooden boat was lowered, and a number of the sailors got into it, assault rifles hidden in the bottom. They pushed of the boat, and with some of the crates loaded, they began to row toward the village.

All of a sudden, both sides of the river became lined with natives. And before long, a barrage of flaming arrows was fired into the air.

"Scitte..." mumbled one of the sailors, as the order to retreat was given.

The planes were once again in the air, this time with large canisters attached to their undersides. They returned to the sector they had surveyed a while ago, this time with new orders - kill.

The village was spotted, along with the signs of the failed mission before - the PT boat had run aground in the panic of the battle, and the natives had stormed it, killing everyone aboard. The fate of the natives in this land had been decided in the form of several tons of Sarin Gas.

None survived that day. Women, Children and Men were killed indiscriminately in the Weccanfelt campaign of 'clearance'.

The Delfere Raw Material Group is proud to announce that it has completed surveying the Clifer colony and is now undertaking the first steps to clear the land for settlements.

We eventually plan to have the vast oil, coal and ore reserves of the land exploited to fuel the burgeoning economy of Weccanfeld. We plan to build three main settlements to live in this virgin land, each with extensive port and refinery facilities to help rocket both the Osmiuic and Weccanfelt economies to a mutual state of economic greatness.

Kurona Arrives on the Islands:

It looked like something out of the history books, big old ships carrying hundreds of people all coming to this country. Kurona was mysteriously appealing and was growing at a fast rate, now it needed to colonize. But it never desired to be imperialist so it usually colonized unoccupied lands or it kept islands for criminals. But this was not a penal colony this was a Kuronan Commonwealth. Before anyone could step off the sips they had to make a Civilian Pact and agree on laws.

Now everyone was ready to begin a new life as farmers, merchants fisherman. It would maintain the same simplicity and primitive life of Kurona.

Mai and her husband were two farmers that had to leave Kurona. They needed a new start after a miserable failure with their first. Mai was 17 Tori was 22. Mai was 5 months Pregnate with their first child. "Here we are Mai." He said to her.

"It's just like being back in Kurona."

"Almost. Only we are probably going to have to worry ourselves over Hurricanes."

"I'm sure we'll be okay. Let's go in."

We wish to stake a claim to Areas P5 and P10, if you are willing.

OFFICIAL REQUEST OF THE ARMED REPUBLIC OF TOORI

The Armed Republic wishes to claim these following plots:

-O2
-L4
-L11

for the purpose of trade, the access of natural materials, excavation of terra, geological research, techtonic mapping, and physical, mental, and spiritual fitness retreat. As with all Toorian settlements, military presence will be installed, however, very minimalisticaly:

-x24- Air units per plot.
-x30- Naval patrol craft per plot.
-x200- Garrisoned warriors per plot.


If this amount is deamed too viable for hostile action, a reduction may be negotiated.

NOTICE: Military forces are greatly reduced due to the tendency of Toorian civilian population instalation of village militia regulation.

Official Communique of the Office of the Prince, Northern Rangeria

To the Colonial Officials of Akimonadi Osmiu

Due to the possibility of increased conflict between colonists and the Osmiu natives, the Principality lays claim on the northern part of the island designated Tango, specifically the areas of Tango One (T1), Tango Four (T4) and Tango Five (T5).

Governor Matsela, our representative in the Northern Rangerian colony of Uusmaa, has suggested this acquisition in the hopes that this area could be used as a relocation area for native populations who wish to live in their own way but who are also dangerously militant towards the colonizing powers. Preliminary scans of the island reveal no sizeable population on Tango island.

We request an immediate answer.

To the Colonial Officials of Akimonadi Osmiu

Due to the long silence of both the Akimonadi Colonial Officials and any rival colonial power, Northern Rangeria claims the island designated as Tango as an added colony to the jurisdiction of Uusmaa, or Northern Rangerian Osmiu.

Any attempts to colonize these lands by the Northern Rangerians will result in immediate response and eviction of Northern Rangerians from their other claims, which will be invalidated.

To the Office of Colonial Affairs

The Principality accept the Office's decision. We humbly apologize if our eagerness to colonize the region ruffled feathers in the Akimonadi government. The sudden silence merely made us consider the possibility that Akimonad had adopted a laissez-faire policy towards the areas yet colonized.

However, we would like to clarify that Northern Rangeria did not wish to claim the area for colonization, but for guaranteeing the native Osmiu population an area where they would not have to be afraid of colonial powers. For this reason we have also sent our call for representatives to our Uusmaa capital, Ruhtinala.

We apologize for the trouble and hope this will not sour the good relationship between our two governments.
