**BREAKING NEWS**
The news studio was quickly interrupted as soon as the word of it got out. The Anchor, Michael Jun, quickly informed the public of what had just happened.
"The Democracy Experiment in the Neon Province has taken a swift and violent turn. Apparantly, the Federal Government had set up this experiment in the Neon Province in North America to see what would happen when an average GWO Citizen had Civil Rights. After a slight win for Richard Hiten, an infamous Neo-Nazi politician, nearly 4 million people took to the streets, grabbing whatever they could use for weapons. They claim that the Government rigged the elections. Federal Combat Units have been deployed in the area to assist the Local and Provincial governments in fighting the rebellion. All 29 cities in Neon Province have been placed under full Lockdown and Martial Law."
During this, the screen shows footage of Federation soldiers fighting rebels. Some tapes show them mowing down unarmed people. Some show civilians running away from the gunfights screaming while tracers and muzzle flashes dot the screen. One tape showed the headless and bullethole dotted body of a rebel being dragged off by Army Infantrymen. Most of the footage showed tanks rolling down the streets, explosions hitting buildings, et cetera.
Then the screen shows GRIFFITH-II standing at a podium outside the Spire, issuing his statement of the crisis. "This is exactly what we expected. Democracy leads to Division, which ultimately results in Civil War. The people cannot control the government, for they know not of what is best for them."
After this, it goes back to the studio. Michael Jun pauses for a moment, then mutters "Oh my God..." before grimly telling the cause.
"Neon City #18's Nuclear Power Plant was overrun by rebels. They quickly caused a meltdown, and a nuclear explosion soon followed. About 8 million people are reported missing or dead. City #18 was the base of operations for the Federal Forces in the area, and most of the soldiers there have been confirmed dead. Survivors number less than a mere hundred."
In truth, the government had indeed rigged the elections.
((OOC: I don't want this to become a series of invasions against myself or others. No nuclear weapons, no excessive amounts of WMDs, including EMP. The Neon Province is not near an Ocean, but it does have several Navigable Rivers flowing through it.))
