1600 hours Colstream Time-17 January 2008
Spec-Ops HQ-Location:Classified
The CO of "Operation Nightfire" was sitting in the Operations Room at the Ex-Ops HQ in an un-disclosed location. He reached for the microphone. "All teams, commence Operation Nightfire."
At several locations, masked men burst into homes and grabbed the occupants and bundled them into unmarked vans.
At few hours later, a news item was read by the female news anchor on the 10 o'clock news on Colstream Television.
"Earlier tonight several raids were initiated on homes belonging to people suspected of supporting the terrorist group behind the nuke attacks on Ashland and the Eastern Islands. A undisclosed number of people were also arrested under the "Peacetime Terror Laws" made after the Terror Attack on Valour Square in October. The investigations are ongoing.
what OOCly is going to happen from now to...say...a month on in RP time?

OOC: In a Month there has been interrogations and there has been information on an organisation called Black Widow that has been operating in Colstream and in other countries that have been funding terrorist attacks and smuggling weapons into Colstream, Antigr and other countries. It will be like sort of like the "War On Terror" but its a covert war rather than a well known one.
Normally, you'd ask to say something like that. The person usually has to at least agree before you say that a terrorist organisation I've never heard of is suddenly smuggling weapons into our country. I'll agree, but learn to ask.
I suppose they could have started targeting us since we helped you in this war...
I'll type a bit to comply...
IC:
"Hello, I'm Jacqui Malcolme, welcome to the ABN midday news. The headlines now, and the military has revealed that a five men of a gang of terrorists smuggling weapons into Antigr have been caught. It is believed they were the same organisation behind the nuclear incident in Ashland, Colstream, and were smuggling in quantaties of high explosive.
They were stopped by Federal Airport Security staff when their baggage showed suspicious items. They all pulled handguns, but three were shot on the spot by a security guard with a sub-machine-gun.
The other two were disabled in hand-to-hand combat with the guards and quickly disarmed, officials say they are being held in a prison but rumours are circulating that they were shot shortly after being taken away. More on this story as it comes.
Now, onto the flooding in the south-west, where the river Styeren burst it's banks..."
"Good evening everyone, I am Gordon Drills reporting live from Colstream. As our commander remains in Orbath we will turn our attention to this nation where just a few hours ago, people suspected of being involved in the recent terrorist attacks that have rocked this Nation were kidnapped by the government. We have reports of an "Operation Nightfire" that was released by the government to do these acts of kidnapping. As for our government, we have stepped up security at national airports to insure that the weapons are'nt being smuggled into our country as well. Antigr reported that there were terrorist members arrested at airport checkpoints with weapon related to the terrorist attacks in Colstream. This is Gordon Drills of NNN live from Colstream."
On to the next chapter, methinks.

A Plane laid on the ground. It had carried weapons heading for an unknown destination for other Black Widow terrorists. It had been boarded by Colstream Spetsnaz soldiers and seized. The weapons had been removed but a undetected device blew the plane up before it could be inspected.
...I'd post, but I don't know what to reply to that with.
Is there going to be any RPable military action? otherwise, this thread will die, if it hasn't already.

A vessel was cruising along the ocean east of Colstream. It's cargo was unknown. It was now a race against time to find it before the cargo was unloaded in an unkown port. The last availiable sattelite photo's was uploaded to the Antigran Military to see what course of action they suggested.
Antigran Military Forces, on a Colstream Island
"Sir! Sir!"
A staff sergeant yelled as he ran into the command camp, brandishing several pieces of A3 photographs.
He showed them to General Kerlingham. Then he showed them to Admiral Johnathan-Paul.
"Why doesn't the Colstream navy just intercept...Commander! Ready three..."
Within half an hour, three crews had been scrambled, two Riveca-Class Destroyers and a Class VI SSNK submarine. Ten minutes later, they set off, each vessel spread out, heading towards the unknown vessel. First, they would warn it, then, if the situation persisted, sink it.

The captain of the unknown ship had now left Colstream Waters and had entered International Waters. He knew that his ship now had to stay undetected so his cargo could be delivered. He also knew that the Colstream Navy, engaged in foreign conflicts could not spare the manpower or vessels to chase him so far out to sea. But he was scared that the Colstream Air Force could be after him and was desperately trying to widen the range from the mainland so no land based aircraft could find him.
OOC: Noting that cargo vessels are almost never as fast as their military counterparts, what is the top speed? So I know if it's catch-up-able. It usually would be, but who knows?

The Captain looked at the dial on the control panel. "Blast" he thought. "Top Speed of 15 Knots reached". Guards armed with AKs walked around the decks protecting the cargo.
OOC: Good. IC RPing to show basic OOC things is good.
IC:
S.F.F. Hengerock, Riveca Class Guided Missile Destroyer
The Destroyer, at Ahead Full speed of thirty-two knots, was catching up fast. It could, of course, go faster, to it's Ahead Flank speed of thirty-six and a half knots, but it didn't. Why bother.
Captain Crawford, an experienced sailor, was at the helm - well, commanding it anyway - and good news was seemingly favouring the law today. A lookout rang the bridge.
"We have visual range, skipper! It's a clear day, estimate about two swedish miles!" (OOC: 1 Swedish Mile = 10 Kilometres)
"Radar confirms. Keep your eyes peeled, try not to lose visual range!"
Said the Captain.
"Lieutenant, send a message to them. Order them to stop and surrender! Officer of the Watch, sound General Quarters!"
The Officer of the Watch, Warrant Officer James O'Daly, did as ordered. He pressed down a lever and yelled into the ship's announcer as klaxons rang out, drowning out all other noise.
"General Quarters, General Quarters! Battle Stations! Target on starboard for'ard quarter, do not fire!"
At the same time, a message was sent.
Stop and Surrender, we have you cornered!
Further illegal action will result n your destruction!
The mood in the bridge was tense. So as with everywhere else on the ship.
The lone twin 130mm gun turret on the bow, just behind the VLS main launcher cells, swung to face the ship.
CIWS systems were ready as always. The 20mm light Oerlikon cannons were readied for action.
All weapon sytems, the torpedoes, the lone 130mm and multiple 57mm guns, the CIWS, the missiles, the cannons, all weapons, were readied. The other two ships, a SSNK sub and another destroyer, turned towards the ship, to stop just out of visual sight, missiles and guns aimed for plunging indirect fire.

A Colstream Air Force Tu-16 Badger fitted with a T-2 Anti Ship Missile on each wing arrived to support the S.F.F. Hengerock. Any say so from the Antigran Ship and it would be sunk. Also 2 Super Etendard Fighters armed with 2 Exocets each appeared from the opposite direction. The Carrier CSC Hawk had disengaged from a taskforce heading home from Jingiskan and had launched several aircraft. The cargo ship was going no-where.
On the bridge there was silence. The captain ordered that several men carrying RPGs went onto the top deck but in concealed positions. 3 minutes later, the order was given to fire. 2 men fired their RPGs at the incoming S.F.F. Hengerock...........
...and the Hengerock's 20mm CIWS system destroyed them in under a second.
Captain Crawford mouthed a word. A single, lethal word. A Lieutenant radioed the aircraft overhead to fire.
The seaman outside the bridge aimed carefully at the RPGers on deck, and squeezed a small switch on his 20mm Oerlikon, firing it, sending solid armour piercing towards his target.
As did the SSM missiles, 130mm main gun, 57mm guns, CIWS system, and rack-launched torpedoes.
The side of the ship was covered in flame and smoke as the weapon systems fired a deadly broadside, at a short distance of under a kilometre the effect would surely be stunning.
Colstream
02-02-2008, 21:19
The men who had fired the RPGs were cut down by the Armour Piercing Rounds. The broadside from the Hengerock blew a hole inside the ship. The incoming Super Etendards fired both of their Exocets at point Blank range follwed by the Tu-16 Badger firing his 2 T-2 Anti-Ship Missiles. The missiles tore into the other side of the ship.
The bridge was a mess. The explosions had ripped 3 giant holes in the ship and it was listing by 6 degrees to the port, where the biggest hole was filling rapidly with water. The Super Etendards fired their cannons into the bridge killing and wounding some of the crew and disabling the controls.
23 Miles East of the stricken Ships position:
Another Cargo Ship was heading East. It had managed to escape because it left 24 hours earlier than the one now sinking. A message had been received from the ship telling that it had been intercepted. The captain radioed back, "Foxtrot 1 to Foxtrot 2, we have escaped. You have done your duty well. Thank you for helping us in our glorious movement!" The captain replaced the radio and called out "All Ahead Full!!" The ship lurched forward gently as the ship jumped from 5 to 15 knots in the rising surf. He was approaching an unknown coastline and he was now searching a route to smuggle these boxes of explosives into Antigran Waters to a nearest Terrorist Cell. He knew that he was being followed by a lone Colstream Navy Destroyer and he was running out of time.
CSD Adventurer was travelling at 16 knots and keeping pace with the retreating cargo ship. They were about 2 miles behind but gaining intelligence before asking for permission to engage close to Antigran Waters. A message was sent to S.F.F. Hengerock:
To: S.F.F. Hengerock, Antigran Navy
From: CSD Adventurer, Colstream Navy
We have found another cargo ship making a run for it. He is on a course for your home waters. Please disengage from the first ship and please help us catch this second ship. They are 48 hours of reaching Antigran Waters. We also have a Fleet of 14 Ships heading towards my position. Please reply.
Mirrantrez Naval Base, Harrelford Island, Antigr
"Admiral! Sir, we have a transmission from one of our destroyers in International waters just outside Colstream. Urgent"
The man was addressing Vice-Admiral Pietersen, who was reading a piece of paper the man gave him.
"Ha! What the hell do they think they're doing? Suicidal bastards. Antigr has the biggest navy in the whole bloody region. Almost the entire world. And they think they can get away with it? Commander, what naval patrols do we have nearest them, in ours or International waters?"
"Aye, in our waters for immediate deployment, in accordance with our immediate defence contingency plan, we have ten frigates, seven destroyers, two lead destroyers, three cruisers, two submarines, and an escort carrier"
"Deploy them all"
"Oh, and in international waters pretty near Colstream we have a Class XII SSNK on secret surveillance duties"
"That's a nuclear hunter-killer submarine. Oh, and why secret surviellance?"
"I don't know, sir, they don't include me in the cloak-and-dagger meetings of terror. I'll get a nearby carrier air wing AWACS to contact them and tell them to raise their communications mast"
"Sir, underwater telephones are easy to detect"
"A single letter being said? A burst of less than a second? Encrypted? And nobody's listening for it. Oh, and send a reply, Hilts. They don't need to know about the sub"
Recieved your message. Stop.
We've picked up their position on sattelite and through radio tracing. Stop.
They will be sunk. Stop.
U-503, Class XII SSNK
The message had been recieved.
'M'
That was all. And all the Captain needed.
"Periscope depth, raise the communications mast!"
The depth counter began to go up. From 580 metres - 579 - 578 - 577...
The captain soon found that he was under an hour away from the ship. And his all ahead speed was 28 knots, faster if he went to the flank speed of 35, and from then...well, the sub was armed with revolutionary new technology. Torpedoes that used super-cavitation and water jets to create a 'bubble' in which it could travel at 280 knots.
(OOC: Real technology. The russian 'squall' or 'shkval' torpedo already uses the first stage of this technology. It has the potential to change the way ships, subs, and torpedoes move radically. True, it's all true)

4 miles from the edge of Antigran Waters and their last chance of enaging before they had to stop, CSD Adventurer opened fire with it's 2 12 inch guns at the retreating cargo ship. The salvo hit the rear port quarter sending some crates on deck into the water. A fire started to burn which sent smoke into the air. This would make the task of finding it easier. One final salvo was fired at the furthest limit of the guns range using radar guided 12 inch shells. It struck near the bridge starting a second fire. The Cargo Ship continued into Antigran Waters.
A message was sent to S.F.F. Hengerock:
Ship has entered Antigran Waters. Have engaged and set off 2 fires. Smoke would be seen for several miles. Its up to you now as we cannot follow.
IC:
Escort Carrier S.F.F. Senkensen
The Senkensen had sailed at her flank speed of 36.5 knots for almost half an hour to get within a ten miles of the ship, so that air fuel could be sacrificed for missile load - not carrying any heavy aircraft, things like this were important. As an Escort Carrier, she was designed to keep up with frigates and destroyers and did this well.
300 metres from her port beam steamed a Willemstone Class Destroyer, and 300 from her starboard a Frigate of the Leeson Class. Just under three kilometres behind her was a light cruiser. It was a clear day, and the crow's nest watchmen could see her helicopter just taking off.
On board the carrier, final preperations were being made - preperations for the air wing to take off. I signalsman gave a hand gesture. All clear.
The pilots of the aircraft had been waiting anxiously until now. The first five taxied the few metres from their positions to the flight deck, and, with the catapult ready - they shot off the deck in a matter of seconds.
Captain Casey was leading the wing as they joined formation behind him. He lit his afterburners.
In what seemed like hours, but was only a few minutes, they were diving down from the thin, wispy cover of a few cirrus clouds and down to their prey. Casey 'lit' the ship and moved his finger over the trigger button. And pressed it down hard. The flame of a missile launch sprouted from his wings.
U-503, Six Minutes Later
"Captain! Computer ranged!"
"Skipper! Tubes ready!"
"Cap'n! Solution aquired!"
Captain Andersz sighed contentedly.
"All ready?"
"Aye, Sir!"
"Standby, bow torpedoes!"
"Bow fish standby, skipper!"
"Sir! Picking up aircraft incoming - IFF says it's ours!"
"From a carrier, I expect . Okay, three - two - one - SPREAD SHOTS FROM TUBES 1, 2, AND 3!"
A Lieutenant pressed down three red levers, one after the other. Four torpedoes, all of the experimental type, whizzed towards it's target. The ship's captain wouldn't even be able to order evasive maneuvers - which stopped being of use fifty years ago anyway - before the impact.
EDIT: OOC: Er...Colstream, warship primary armament is not the gun. And even the biggest, best gun has faaaaar lesser range than a medium-sized missile. Primary armamanet of warships are missiles, and a destroyer, even an old-ish one, would have a minimum missile range of about fifty miles. And, as most destroyers are new and replaced often, you'd have cruise missiles in the armoury that can fly thousands of miles. Also, guns on a destroyer - and cruiser, for that matter - are usually in the 76mm to, at the extreme, 8inch (203mm) region. Due to technological advances, the maximum range of a massive 16inch (405mm) gun is not much different to a 127mm average destroyer gun.

The resulting hits from the missiles and torpedoes tore the ship apart. A huge explosion burst the fuel tank sending diesel oil flooding into the water. A giant oil slick appeared on the surface some parts ignited by fires raging on the ship. It began to sink.....
Captain Andresz raised his hand and said:
"Cease fire, salvo hit"
A Lieutenant echoed this over the announcer.
Andersz watched through the 'periscope' - actually a computerised machine with no traditional optics.
"Surface, all back one third, planes twenty degrees"
The rumble of compressed air signified the forced ejection of the water from the sub's ballast tanks. A quiet but steady whirr began as the turbines reversed through the gears.
"Watch and gun crew to sail! Send up the marines, armed. Wait for other ships to arrive, we don't want enemy prisoners on here"
The Antigran navy was probably the only navy to keep guns and marines on their submarines - two specially waterproofed CIWS in streamlined turrets, and a 20mm Oerlikon on the sail, and twelve marines.

The crew of the striken cargo ship started to release lifeboats. Oil had started to spill causing damage to the wildlife and ecosystem nearby. The ship was rolling over. 10 minutes later, the cargo ship exploded making a loud bang. The crew of CSD Adventurer heard it 20 mile away.
The noise and sheet of flame and smoke that enveloped the ship was stunning. If it weren't in the circumstances it was, it could have been almost beautiful.
The submarine was surfaced and the explosion caused it to list briefly. The captain was on-deck, pulling out a KGM GPMG that was kept in the purpose-built locker on the sail.
The Warrant Officer manning the Oerlikon gun was weary, he had his finger on the trigger lever and kept a constant aim.
On the sail next to him were three marines, armed with Sabre assault rifles, and on deck, the remaining eight, similarly armed. The explosion had knocked the other one off the deck and two Seamen were dragging him onboard again.
The captain could see two PACs - Patrol Attack Craft, an Antigran term - heading towards them, and just visible was the Destroyer and Frigate, making full speed, to pick up the survivors.
Colstream
11-02-2008, 16:00
The men on the lifeboats saw the PACs and held their hands up to show that they would not resist when they were rescued. They felt grateful that the Antigran Navy would rescue them rather than kill them.
The first PAC slowed down and stopped in front of the first lifeboat. A seaman threw a line to the boat and instructed them to secure it to be towed while another seaman secured his end of the line.
Three seamen and a Warrant Officer were on deck, the latter behind an Oerlikon and the others armed with Assault Rifles and an SMG.
The other PAC did the same - the soldiers would then be taken to the Escort Carrier, which would have proper accomodation for them.
In the Antigran navy, Aircraft Carriers, nomatter what size, are used as 'base' ships and designed as such. The captured crewmen would then head back to Antigr or to Colstream.
Colstream
12-02-2008, 14:05
The crew in the lifeboats obeyed and tied the lifeboats to the PAC. They were wary aof the weapons pointed at them and wanted no trouble as the ywished to give all the information they had on the shipments and the cargos they held.
"Take us back to the ship"
The first craft's diesels revved and began to accelerate, as did the other PAC's, and soon they were heading at a steady pace back towards the carrier.
Once they were there, they entered the little 'dock' at the back of the ship and the huge steel door shut after them. The only light was the flourescent tubes.
A group of the ship's marines then escorted them up and through to the brig.

Colstream Maximum Security Prision, Ashland.
The prisioner entered the chamber. He had been 2 hours earlier, convicted of 12 counts of plotting and helping the Valour Square Terror Attacks and sentenced to death. The door closed. At exactly 6 AM Colstream Time, the gas was let into the chamber. He was dead in minutes.
The Colstream News Network broke the news around the world that the first person had been charged with plotting and helping commit the Valour Square Terrorist Attack. Also the news about the 2 cargo ships also featured with a report from CSD Adventurer currently heading back to Ashland Naval Base.
OOC: Do you want the prisoners or should I take them? I take it I can RP the prisoners to a limited extent.
IC:
The first prisoner was hauled into the room by two Marines, and was seated.
The room was an interrogation room, and here it was serving it's purpose.
The Sub-Lieutenant in the room looked the prisoner straight in the eye - he [the prisoner] was the captain of the ship.
"Why were you smuggling explosives into Antigr to be used illegally, captain?"
Colstream
13-02-2008, 17:25
OOC: While they are in Antigr we can Rp interrigations and then i thought we could Rp a trial like the one i described in my last post. Even though that was the result of one.
The Captain Replied "The explosives were destined for a Cobra Cell in Antigr to attempt an attack like the one in Ashland except with bombs rather than aircraft. Also another attack was to be sprung on your capitals airport by exploding bombs on several aircraft as they were being refueled of course causing massive damage and panic."
"Okay. Are your crew terrorists or just hired for the job? Do all of them know of the cargo?"
Colstream
13-02-2008, 18:18
"All of us are terrorists. Some of us were trained in operating a cargo ship while some recieved the training to carry out the attack." He paused. Then he let out a revelation. "There is another terrorist cell already in Antigr. They will strike soon but we were trained seperately so i don't know the date or target of the attack but i know that it was going to take place a day or two before ours to achieve maximum panic and confusion."
OOC:
Yeah, so this attack will take place in Antigr. Should we co-RP it? A good target would be the ICC mall in Auston, the capital - nine storeys, huge ground coverage, big commercial shopping place. Should fit the bill
IC
"Thank you, captain. You will be returned to your room"
He left with the two marines. The captain of the carrier was summoned.
"Should we believe him, Captain?"
"No. But we'll increase security"
----
"Gentlemen" President Pierce sighed. "I have thought of this matter carefully. Now, it seems we can only increase security"
"Sir, I think we could do with particularly improved security here, Kensington Hall. That, and everywhere where people are massed. And tall buildings. Really tall buildings"
"Yes. The civil guard and police would have to be on the lookout, twenty-four-seven, everywhere. But it'll have to be done discreetly, otherwise they'll get suspicious"
Colstream
14-02-2008, 19:19
OOC: Thats a good idea. I have thought of a good opening to it. Here it is.
Hands fumbled with a fuse wire of a explosive charge. A picture of the ICC Mall in Auston was pined to a board with sticky notes around it containing descriptions and calculations on the amount of explosives needed. Asif Shik Altah looked at his notes. He then started the dangerous task of placing the detonator into the bomb.
OOC:
I'm hoping that these terrorists won't have enough explosive to completely blow it up - in which case, the mall is huge so they must have unlimited access to the nation's armoury or something. If there's just a partial damage, but severe all-the-same, ther'll be more RPing to do.
IC:
In the capital, and in almost every other place in the country classified as a 'city', a sense of quiet chaos ensued.
The difference was not much. But all the same, there were always a few more policemen round the next corner, a few police roadblocks here and there. The other part of the government's plan, getting the hell out of all big, tall, important buildings, wasn't working. After all, it was impossible, especially done on information that could well be fake.
It seems nobody could do anything - intelligence was going mad, agents and observers were everywhere, but it seems people could only wait, and hope the extra security paid off.

15-02-2008, 15:30
OOC: Its not a big bomb- around the size of a rucksack bomb. It will only damage it.
Asif Shik Altah walked boarded a bus heading into the centre of Auston. The time was around 8:30 and the city was heaving with commuters heading to their work and tourists admiring the attractions that made Auston a geat city.
He looked round the bus. He went up to the top deck and sat at the back. In front of him a small child sat on his mothers lap as she looked out of the window. The bus then proceeded past the Rail Station and headed towards the ICC Mall. He pressed the bell and walked down the stairs. The bus stopped and he exited. He watched the bus exit left off the street and then turned to walk into the Mall. He walked past a policeman and a policewoman talking to each other....
OOC: Yeah, now for the 'co-RPing'
IC:
As he approached, he could see a metal detector operated by two policemen.
He walked through - he had no choice. It buzzed.
"Sorry, sir, probably just your belt buckle"
Said the second policeman. Altah was waved through and into the mall. Alive with activity - good. He took a lift up to the fourth floor, the busiest, all-shop floor, and walked towards the food complex, the most bustling part.

He picked a seat in the seating area which was close to the people walking past. He closed his eyes and pressed the detonator.......
AUSTON NORTH DISTRICT FIRE STATION
Leading Fireman James Knowles sat at the big table in the canteen. He was joking with his friends.
"And then...and then, she..."
He burst into a fresh fit of hysterics. His enjoyment was distracted by a wail from the loudspeaker.
"Engines Thirty-Two, Thirty-Three, Thirty-Seven, Rescue Four, Ladder Fifteen, Ladder Seven, emergency, emergency..."
Knowles got up from the floor and reached a hole in the floor. With his feet on the edge, he leant forward and hugged the pole with his arms, then slid down. He hit the soft mat at the bottom and leapt into the cab of a pump engine. The radio was full of the voice of the dispatcher, giving the emergency type, the location...the ICC mall.
He flicked a switch and the blue flashing lights came on, lighting up the vehicle bay. He gave a thumbs-up to the station master, who was climbing into another fire engine, and accelerated, clearing the door and making a left. Ahead of him, two police cars and an ambulance rounded a corner fast, heading in the same direction as he was.
On his left, another firefighter driving a rescue truck undertook him, braking swiftly and turning left to go up an alternate route - standard procedure. His hands moved and the fire engine banked into a swift right turn, cars ahead of him clearing, the blue lights reflecting off nearby buildings. Ahead of him rose the ICC mall. There was smoke coming from the fourth storey.
He braked and the fire crew disembarked. He whacked his helmet on and yelled to a local Sheriff deputy.
"What the fuck's happened?"
"No-one knows! I think it's a bomb!"
Policemen, ambulance crews, fire crews, and local sheriffs streamed around him. He looked up as someone yelled from the fourth storey.
"Help! HELP!"
The woman was standing on the outside on a windowframe, as smoke belched behind her. A beeping started as the hydraulic supporting rams from one of the ladder vehicles deployed, and the ladder swung round and up. One of the ladder men went up.
As he would later find out, the bomb had killed a hundred and injured many more. The food hall was an add-on to the main structure and had collapsed rather quickly, injuring many and starting a fire on the third storey, which spread down the escalator. All very quick, and very suprising - Antigrans were supposed to make reliable stuff.
"Knowles!"
Yelled a fireman. He chucked a hose nozzle to him.
He grabbed it and barged his way through a door way. He jogged towards the base of one of the fires and opened the nozzle.
[Just picture a big building on fire, smoke coming from the fourth floor and below, emergency services running about, jets of water being sprayed through windows, emergency vehicles everywhere, screaming onlookers, you get the point]

In front of him was a sheet of flame covering the doorway. "Jesus!!" Knowles thought as he started to douse the flames with jets of water. Another fireman ran past with an axe and hacked a hole in the wall next to Knowles and opened a gap into an undamaged corrridor. "This Way!" he shouted and jumped through. Other firefighters followed him while Knowles extingushed the last dying embers of the remains of the door. He rushed through followed by a Paramedic. A woman lay on the floor, unconscious. Knowles looked down and was horrified to find that she had no legs. Knowles turned away in shock. He recovered his composure and continued moving forward where he came to a doorway that had been twisted shut by the force of the blast....
He pulled out his 'hooligan bar' and smashed the door open. He stopped as he heard a whooshing sound - a sound that every firefighter dreads. Too late, he noticed the yellowy-brown smoke at the bottom of the door.
He threw himself to the ground as a huge sheet of flame enveloped the ceiling.
"BACKDRAFT!"
Another firefighter got his hose on the roof and began to douse it down as Knowles, supported by another fireman, entered the room. It was a private office. He heard screams.
He began to fight his way towards the group of survivors.
Outside, media and onlookers were arriving, in massive swarms. The riot police and a battalion of Civil Guard were arriving to help keep them back.
Backup for the fire crews and paramedics was arriving too. It would be a long day.

Meanwhile, the crew of the captured vessel watched the carnage unfolding on Antigran Television. "It looks like they succeeded" observed one. "What will happen to us now that has happened?" asked another. The Captain replied "I don't know. But soon we will find out."
The Captain of the carrier was not happy. What the men had said was not a lie, but he still wasn't happy. His cousin was working at the mall.
He'd get bollocked for this, but surely the high command would understand - besides, he'd got a qualification in law and he knew it would happen anyway.
He walked towards the room in which the prisoners had been assembled.
He opened the door and walked in.
"Gentlemen" He said, calmly. "Under terrorism act 3091 of Antigran national law, the punishment for a crime such as this is severe. You did not lie, but your friends still killed, in which, under legal terms, you assisted. The punsihment is death"
Quickly, he took a Sabre assault rifle from one of the marines and quickly cocked it, ensuring the selector lever was on full auto.
He pulled the trigger and kept it pressed.
He swung the weapon back and forth, spraying a lethal hail of bullets across the room. There were a few survivors, one right in front of him, slouched on the floor with a hole in his shoulder, dazed.
The Captain walked out of the room, grabbed a fire axe, and walked back in. He swung it towards the man rapidly, and it struck with a solid thunk. As for the other survivors - well, maybe he could let them live. They'd either serve a very long prison sentence or be sentenced to death, and if it was the former, they could go back to Colstream to tell the tale of the consequences.

OOC: Sorry about that- anyway....
A Private Message was sent to the Antigran Government:
To: President Pierce:
From: President James Parker:
In light of the recent Terrorist Attack in your Capital Auston, i will turn the remaining terrorists to your care. You can do whatever you decide to do to them. This will never reach the public eye. You have the choice to kill them immediately if you want to as your government has now full control over them.
3 Days Later
The prisoners were all in one cell. Shocked by the killing of their friends, they had been mostly silent. Two marines came in - maybe they were here to question them more. They weren't.
Both swung their rifles down from thier shoulders and opened fire, cutting down the prisoners. They made sure none were dead.

12. Terrorism Suspects in the Federal Republic Of Antigr with offences in the Republic Of Colstream will be charged by a Colstream/Antigr Court. As would be if it was the other way round.
13. The Penalty for Suspects convicted of Terror Related Offences will be now Death instead of Life in Prison.
