Black Imperium

"Hello and good evening viewers. My name is Stsari Newould of the channel 21 news. Today, we are interviewing a very special guest. Our very own, Lord Der'Khaine. Thank you for joining us my lord. It is truly an honor to be in your presence."
Der'Khaine smiled pleasantly and dismissed her appraisal. "Please, no need to flatter me. I am more than eager to share my history with my people. After all, they do have a right to know about the man who rules them."
"And what a man he is. In a very short time you've already gained the undying affection of your subjects with your complete turn around of the Darthalian economy. Since your part, the Black Imperium, came to rule over Darthalia we've seen nothing but advances in culture, economy, influence, and power."
Der'Khaine chuckled softly. "My dear you make me out to be some savior sent from the Gods to lead my people to greatness. I am nothing of the sort. I am merely a man, who's ambitions were too strong to be restrained by our oppressive government of old."
"Speaking of which, my lord, when did these ambitions to free your people first start?"
Der'Khaine thought momentarily. "Well, I can't say for sure. I was born into the civil war that had been plaguing our country for decades so far. The day I turned 16 I vowed I would do my part to overthrow our government. As I grew older, and as my ambition to gain everyone freedom came to drive me, I began to unite the bickering sects of rebels under the flag of my own force. The Black Imperium. We eventually came to successfully control the entire country except for the capital. The final stage to the realization of my dreams. And we did it. And then my ambition to gain freedom was replaced. My driving ambition became to strive to bring my people out of destruction and into structure. And now, here are."
"An amazing tale my lord. No doubt you faced many hard-ships with your comrades attempting to gain the freedom you sought."
Der'Khaine's expression grew solemn. "Yes. We lost many a brave man and woman. But their deaths only furthered our resolve. They died honorable deaths for their beliefs though. And now we honor them as heroes of this country."
"And remembered and honored they shall be, my lord. Tell us a bit about yourself personally."
"Personally? Well, i'm 53, i'm single. I was married once but she was one of casualties we suffered while capturing the capital. I have no children, my family has long passed away. My only surviving blood relative is my brother. He is currently single and is a ETF veteran. One I am very proud to call my brother. I am not a man of parties and celebrations. I grew up to be very serious. Constantly surrounded by death and war I was robbed of the adventurous feelings of a young man. It has affected my philosophies on life greatly and I stay true to them."
"A philosopher? My how interesting my lord. Are there any words of wisdom you wish to spare our viewers? Perhaps something on the future?"
"The future? Well alright." He cleared his throat. "All civilizations are cursed to rise from the unknown, reach their pinnacle of power, and slowly descend back into the nothingness they arose from. This is the cycle I believe all life is forced to follow."
"I see. An interesting look on life, my lord. Well, that's all the time we have for now. Is there anything you'd like to say to our viewers before we sign off, sir?"
"Yes. I will continue to serve the better interests of my people in all forms. I will act as the herder to the sheep of my nation. We will achieve greatness and show the world even the lowliest nation can arise to the glory of one with more humble beginnings."
"Thank you for joining us my lord. We hope to see you stop by again soon."
"You're most welcome Ms. Newould. It was a pleasure to be here."
