Roderic Weller's funeral had been a quiet enough affair, just family, friends, and high-ranking government officials. It's a shame, thought General Steven Phillip Grimmeberger. He was such a good guy. And everyone loved him. Of course, as General Grimmeberger left the funeral, along with the others who had come to pay their respects, one question was on everyone's mind: Now what? Weller had failed to designate a successor, and the current fascistic, beauraucratic dictatorship was held together by the military and the fact that most of the people did not mind the government being like this. The simple fact was that the government supported the nation's common, traditional values, and as such had roughly 52% approval, 47% neutral and 1% (or less, even) opposition. There simply weren't enough people who cared enough to bother putting together opposition parties for the government to collapse, though it had been proven that the 1% opposition could be threatening. As he stepped out of the Cathedral that the funeral had been held at, General Grimmeberger was confronted by a host of government officers. None of them looked terribly happy with him.
“What do you need?” he asked pleasantly enough.
“To relieve you of power,” stated Christopher Sover, Grimmeberger’s Chief of Internal Affairs. “We’re also getting Mr. Neniven out of jail.”
“You’re doing WHAT?”
“Elections were held last night. The moderate socialists are in charge of Parliament. It’s only natural that their Party Chief become Parliament Majority Leader.
“He’s a commie.”
“So? It’s what was overwhelmingly decided. In a public vote.”
Steven looked at the others confronting him. Newly-commissioned Commander Torst of the Watch, the Fanboyist States’ police force, Field Marshal Varricer, Grand Admiral Sykes, Major-Commander Taylor, and his Minister of Commerce and Minister of Foreign Affairs all looked back at him. He knew his time to rule was over.
“Alright. You win. I’ll disband the Grey--”
“Not so fast. The Grey Battalions stay. At least for another month or two. Once everything gets sorted out, they go. And you’re heading them up. Is that clear. But we’ll be keeping an eye on you.”
“Fine.”
“And it was also decided that I’m to be Interim Prime Minister.”
“You’re definitely the best choice. Good luck with that.” And with that, the exchange was over. What had been expected to start a civil war was over in a bloodless two-minute conversation.

General Grimmeberger is no longer the Head of State of the Fanboyist States. An interim government, headed up by Prime Minister Christopher Sover, will be ruling until proper elections can be held under the new government, as the current Parliament is not necessarily legitimate. The following hold the following offices:

Christopher Sover, Prime Minister of the Interim Government of the Fanboyist States
Stanley Neniven, Parliament Majority Leader, Moderate Socialist Party
Marshal Lucien Varricer, Chief of the Army
Grand Admiral Peter Sykes, Chief of the Navy
Major-Commander Mark Taylor, Chief of the Air Force
Richard Dreyson, Minister of Commerce
Gerald Morris, Minister of Foreign Affairs
Commander Rufus Torst, Commander of the Watch

Recieving a mixed response from people of the MRF, Interim Prime Minister Christopher Sover has pardoned former Head of State Grimmeberger of all crimes that he was charged of committing during his tenure of head of state, including civil rights violations.
