The Storyline (for those who are lost)

Another UN Rankings had been made and shows that Scientia Infinita has the number 1 environment. Bordering SI, Leocardia is enraged with this new ranking, who has strived to earn that rank 1, and mobilizes a regiment of soldiers in the borders. Alarmed, SI established guerillas in the cities and arms them. With this recent military buildup, Leocardia mobilizes, yet, another regiment, but this time it's armored. Estovokia sets his DEFCON to 4.

The result? Territories of South Arctica War I.

The Quartin government uses the growing unrest in the region
as an excuse to further suppress it's people.

Seeing Estovokia raise its Defcon to 3 with no reason, Leocardia has become suspicious. Several spies in Estovokia gathered intelligence for the Leocardian Intelligence Agency (LIA) and concluded that Estovokia is planning an attack on Leocardia... A major attack. Alarmed, the Leocardian Government ordered a invisible demilitarized border by Estovokia, meaning all military bases and units deployed by the Estovokian-Leocardian border will be focusing their pinpoints and stragetic positioning onto that border. Any moving object, human or beast, will be fired upon until proven it is not live. This zone is classified and has not been declared officially to anyone in the region.

After a time of wait-n-see Scientia Infinita decided to take actions. The borders to Leocardia were closed and Owl-spies have been sent to gather information about the attack force of Leocardia.

Estovokia begins organizing militia units in all cities bordering Leocardia in preperation for any kind of military action.

Suspicious units from SI were arriving toward the borders of Leocardia, having the Leocardian border patrol alerted. A border patrol captured one of the groups emigrating from SI and had him questioned.

"Who are you and why are you entering Leocardia?"

He paused. The person from SI knew no English. He went on again with the question, but this time beating him with his baton.

Military organization in border

The Intelligence delivered the message to the Leocardian Military Operations Command Center. (LMOCC). This increased the alert level the LMOCC had in mind. Having the invisible demilitarized zone seemed like it was not enough for this type of situation. The LMOCC decided to sent a presence of elite Rekustan snipers in the area incase any militias buildup too close to the borders.

A satellite passes over the border of of Estovokia and Leocardia over 35000 Kilometers above the Earth, taking photos of the border and locating the armor and infantry regiments.

Lieutenant General Claire Powers looks at the photos coming out of the printer, not expecting anything too drastic, but instantly noticing the armor and infantry build-up along the border. She puts a call in to alert the president.

"President Pheonix?" asked the general.

"Im in the middle of a press confrence right now." the president replied, "It better be important."

"Its about the Leocardia incident."

This got Daniel's full attention. "What is it?"

"We have noticed a large build-up of armored and infantry forces along our border with Leocardia. They appear to be regimental size, but its difficult to tell with the cloud cover."

"Set the nation to DefCon 2, evacuate all civillians from the cities along the border. I want to know the moment we see any more activity along the border. Make sure you put our silo's on full alert."

"Will do. I'll bring some anti-aircraft artillery up to the borders as well."

"I have to get back to the press conference now, keep me informed." said the president, with the line going dead almost immediatly afterward.

Lieutenant General Claire Powers began evacuating non-militia units and moving anti-aircraft equipment up to the border towns now occupied almost fully by militia units. She then sent an alert code to move the silos into code yellow.

And with that simple code, the nation was now at DefCon 2, the silos at code yellow, and all the border towns were prepared for an assault.

The message sent to the LMOCC from the Satellite Positioning Captures (SPC). Images from the computers were on the screens and military analysts scanned studied the images. A young man, in his early 20's, went to the picture. He looked and squinted and walked back to his original stance.

"See that? That looks like artillery." He said in a loud tone.

Everyone noticed it, but were keeping their quiet to themselves.

"I think they know we might have our airforce in the borders." He said, again.

The military analysts paused to look at him.

"I think... Look at the other images, they're moving toward the bor-" He was cut off.

An officer called up to the LMOCC main office.

"Sir, anti-aircraft artillery nearing the borders. Estovokians are planning an assault."

A blabber from the phone was heard.

"Anything else? Eh, soldiers, stealth soldiers have been detected. Yes, STEALTH!"

Silence was the phone.

"Okay, thanks sir. Bye."

"Word in the maps, they are planning it!"

Another emergency meeting was held and discussed. Leocardia's top military leaders discussed how they would penetrate the enemy's society, without attacking it at all. They've agreed to use the navy to perform a naval blockade to the Estovokia. Just after the meeting, a fleet of 13 frigates, 12 destroyers, and 4 battleships begun to sail toward the blockade position.

Pheonix decided that it was time to conctact the Leocardian government. He began writing a letter that would be sent.

We have noticed military build-up along our borders with you. We have also built up our military in response to this. We were just wondering, why were you massing your forces along our borders? What have we done to possibly anger you? We will look forward to your response.

Pheonix decided that it was time to conctact the Leocardian government. He began writing a letter that would be sent.

The Leocardian Government expressed it's views on it.

Our military build-up is no harm to your nation. As you know, we have the largest defense forces per capita in our region. This means we have plenty of soldiers with nothing to do! We cannot surely lay them off, or we'll need them later when later threats occur. We are just assigning duties for them to perform and keep in shape for the better of Leocardia. Consider it as a border training exercise. You will see them perform their duties soon. Watch closely!

Meanwhile, the LMOCC was ordered to an additional 300,000 elite soldiers to the borders of Estovokia.

Naval Scene

The Leocardian Navy had reached its blockading positions and all ships heading to Estovokia were forces to turn back with threats of attacking the trade ships. The Leocardian Naval Fleet #435 is in effect.

Daniel read the reply, not too surprised at the response but very suspicious of the 'Watch closely' part. He sat down at his desk when the phone rang. He reached over and picked it up.

"Yes?" Inquired the president.
He listened, realizing it was the minister of economical affairs.
"Reports of a blockade?!" The president nearly yelled.
"Yes, several ships have been sent back to their home countries." The minister replied.
"Probably those damn Leocardians... They have to be up to something. The troops massing on our borders, and now a blockade... I'll handle it" The president replied, and hung up.

Claire was sitting in a planning room around a table with several junior officers, about 80 miles from the border of Leocardia when the phone on the wall rang.
She got up to answer it.

"Powers here." She said.

"Powers, this is Pheonix. Those damn Leocardians are planning something, everything they are doing only points to something foul. We have reports from several trade vessels that there is a blockade along our coast line. I want coastal artillery batteries ready to fire, if they dont get their fleet out of here I will deem it an act of war and it will be treated as such."

"Yes President Pheonix. I'll put the call in now." She replied, and hung up.

She then called and had the coastal batteries prepared to fire their High Explosive 155MM rounds, and also had an airplane painted with civillian markings and numbers sent to the reported area of the blockade to pin-point the exact location of the ships.

Meanwhile, back at the presidents office.

Daniel began writing his letter to the Leocardian government.

We now have reports of a naval blockade on our coastline... Care to try to explain this one? Remove your ships from our coastline and allow ships to resume trade with our nation at once. We tried to be peaceful about this at first, but this is too far. You have 48 hours to begin removing your fleet from our waters.

The Leocardian Government replied shortly.

We do not hold responsibly or even claim that these ships are ours. On our naval records show nothing of deploying a naval blockade anywhere of our region. You may have permission to eliminate these pirated ships, these ships are not ours.

Meanwhile, the Leocardian Government had notified the LMOCC about this warning from Estovokia. The LMOCC then established a message to the naval fleet blockading the Estovokians.

Warnings from the Enemy.
Attack at will.
Activate all radar devices.
Deploy amphibious landing crafts.
This is no drill. Repeat.
This is no drill.

"I want sateillite imaging on this." Jason said.

Immediately, the amphibious landing crafts went full speed toward the Estovokian shores. Carrying an estimated of 3,000 Leocardian Marines, but these Marines were not uniformed in Leocardian Marines, but as pirates. The guns were issued to them were not Leocardian standard-Marine rifles, but assorted. Although with all these exceptions, they were Leocardian-trained and are elite Marines of Leocardia. The ship, too, were not marked with Leocardian codes or even with a flag.

The unmarked aircraft noticed the amphibious aircraft launched from the ships and radioed back to the mainland.

"Code red, multiple amphibious vehicles heading toward coastline, feeding targeting data for bombardment" crackled over the radio of the artillery batteries on the coastline and over Powers' radio.

"Copy that" replied General Powers, "Commence bombardment of the hostile fleet, I'll notify our men along the coastline to take up positions at the beach."

With that, the artillery batteries on the coast began launching their ordinance at the fleet, and the 2nd Brigade of the Estovokian Army was notified that hostiles were inbound, and set up defensive positions along the beach behind sandbags.

"This doesn't look good." The leading amphibious craft driver said while looking at men rushing to build sandbag walls on the shores of Estovokia. He turned his radio on. "Defensive Estovokians ahead. Get some men in the machine guns." 3 men from each ship occupied each machinegun and fired at the shores. Another soldier, occupied with a mortar on the ship, fired onboard. The amphibious crafts sped up at maximum speed.

The naval ships moved closer to the shores until the battleships were within artillery range. "FIRE ARTILLERY!" The battleships fired their guns, and crusiers shot out their missiles.

The peace loving people of Huehuetenango deplore the growing shadow of war which looms over the region. We appeal to the people of the South Arctic to remember that our strength lies in the links between our brother and sister nations, and urge the politicians of our neighbors to heed the calls for peace from their citizens. Huehuetenango continues to eschew the dark path of war, and expresses concern for the future of economic and political cooperation. The government of Huehuetenango can assure the region that the country will take no part in a war of aggression, and will seek to provide aid to the refugees who will undoubtedly arise from any conflict. However, in acknowledgment of the rising tension within the region, Huehuetenango has closed its borders with immediate effect, and announced the redeployment of the armed forces in the interests of national defense. The reserve units of Huehuetenango's army will also be reformed and retraining will begin at once.

The shells from the artillery on the beach were just beginning to reach the fleet in the ocean, just as the fleet began opening fire on the beach.

Staff Segeant Green layed on the beach with his anti-tank 50 Cal' baretta, sighting in on the landing craft. His spotter noticed the people beginning to man the machine guns, and alerted Green. Green sighted in on the machine gunners and fired at them as they poked their heads out to see what to shoot.

Soldiers on the beach began firing their weapons into the amphibious craft now getting very near to the beach, hoping to hit something or someone.

Estovokian infantry defenses indeed hit a landing craft, killing 100 people in it. The rest of the crafts hit the shores and Leocardian soldiers charged toward the Estovokians. Battleships in the sea provided artillery support for the Marines and with a continued effort, the Leocardian Marines practiced the North Korean strategy of rushing the enemy until it has no more to rush on.

As soon as the amphibious crafts hit the beach, satchel charges buried under the sand were detonated. Over 300 Estovokians died from the artillery barrage from the battleships, with over 400 wounded.

"Were being invaded?!" shouted the president over his phone.

"Yes sir, the people invading, however, show no colors or indications of where they may have come from." replied the General.

"Put the silos on red alert, set the nation to DefCon 1 and institute martial law throughout the country."

"Yes sir."

Seeing the possible threat, the Foreign Ministry of Kyle Hoagland issued this curt statement:

"The Government of Kyle Hoagland expresses its concern over the recent events that are escalating in the Territories of South Arctica. We shall take all possible Measures to ensure the defense of all territory, soil, citizens, and infastructure of Kyle Hoagland. "

You are instructed by State Decree to move to Grid Square 55/56a for possible defense of the border. You are to supplement the People's Border Guards Regiment (Attached Light Missile Battalion) to defend against foreign invaders.

Hold you own, Leonid. Will be in contact.

5 days after that order was recieved and acknowledged, the Ministry of Foreign Travel posted up this message in the Kyliningrad International Airport:

"WARNING: Recent Turmoil in the country(s) of Leocardia and Scientia Infinita has forced your supreme government to issue a warning (For your Safety) that advises (Requires) the citizens of our great nation to avoid travel to those countries. We appreciate your Cooperation, in the Party's Name we trust: The Kyle Hoagland Ministry of Foreign Travel. THIS IS FOR YOUR SAFETY"

The charges on Estovokian shores exploded, but not killing all the soldiers in the crafts. Leocardian deaths confirmed 5,215 died on the shores, but the rest jumped out of their boats and rushed toward shores. The battleships continued to pound the shores, and cruisers begun shooting missiles toward the shores.
