OOC General Information

Background

According to Everett's Many Worlds Interpretation of Quantum Physics, for each possible event in the universe a quantic level split which is completely unperceptive to us occurs, creating a parallel universe to ours and several reaching infinite amounts of different Earths. Places where World Wars never happened, where the Roman Empire never felt, where defeated and capitulated NationStates are instead world superpowers on the verge of world domination, where a nation who lost a war won it instead, where the dead are instead alive and many other countless possibilities. Among then, in one of nearing infinite universes besides our own, the Anarchist Confederacy of Third Spanish States entered in an ideologically driven conflict with the nation of Gurguvungunit, due to a failed revolution attempt on Gurguvungunit supported by Third Spanish States Spy Blackguards which was uncovered. The resulting diplomatic fiasco only increased hostilities and after an unmanned spyplane of Third Spanish States was spotted on Gurguvungunit radars, they decided it was a significant threat to their government and prepared to invade such an "island of subversives", mobilizing a part of their forces for an amphibious assault. At the same time Third Spanish States mobilized recon units to keep a close watch on its airspace and territorial waters, expecting the worse to come.

This is the final version of this initial post. Also I ask you to TG me a link with a map of your nation and an estimated distance(in miles or preferably in kilometers) between our nations, with a mention of whether it lies west or east from Third Spanish States and so on. Also this is probably going to last as I'll add also somewhat detailed maps once the war reaches the lands besides only the seas, specially for urban environments. Also I hope it won't make things complicated, but this is basically an OOC thread for us to discuss further details before beginning it.

It's been ages since I've done anything with Gurguvungunit, so give me a few days to work out what I have, how many people, etc. I should also let you know that the adjective form is Gurguvii, so it would be 'Gurguvii attack, evil Gurguvii bastards', etc.

Um, yeah.

All right, let's see. I'm working on a map and intelligent force numbers, but I'm planning something along the lines of a standard market liberal democracy with a slightly autocratic bent amongst its top leadership. Give me a chance to play a very shades-of-grey country, which should be fun. As far as numbers, I'd expect my total-mobilized to be significantly more (half again) yours, but since I'll be crossing the sea to attack you you probably won't face anywhere near the full number.

Still working out numbers... the next few weeks are crazy busy for me as I juggle school, a job and college applications. Bear with me, I'll still post as much as possible. I'm trying to get a map (hand sketched for LULZ), but even that's taking time.
