"Thanks Santiarel. Amazing how the Lynx's are carving their way through the DFL (Darthalian Football League) with a 13 and 0 winning streak," said channel 21 News Anchor Griar Tsrani, "now onto a new and hot story straight from the Lord Inquisitor himself."

"Yesterday at 5:45 PM Lord Der'Khaine came before a news conference regarding his decision over the war in Doublewideville. After thoroughly answering the questions he left us with a surprising bit of information regarding our military. Lets look at the clip."

They played a clip from a channel 21 camera that taped the whole conference. Lord Der'Khaine, flanked by his most trusted advisers, stood at a podium with a number of differently labeled microphones before him. "I would also like to note that as we are always searching for ways to remain a step ahead of our enemies we have begun research in orbital warfare. This includes anti-satellite missiles and armed satellites." Mutters ran through the assembly of reporters as they quickly wrote down as much info as they could.

Lord Der'Khaine continued. "Our best scientists and engineers are working in cooperation with the military to make these weapons reality. However it will be some time before we can even begin testing said weapons. Thank you all for coming and have a pleasant evening." Lord Der'Khaine exited with his advisers even as the crowd of reporters frantically shouted questions at him.

The clip ended and Griar shuffled a stack of papers before him. "Well. Certainly exciting news. I wonder what the rest of the world will think of this great accomplishment for our modestly small nation. Now onto further news.."

OOC: My nation is ICly Ft and already has orbital weaponry and a starfleet which ensures the South Lizasaurian Empire's stability. Like in the Bug thread its mainly Terrran starchips upgraded with Lizasaurian technology.

South Lizasauria got word of this an acted immediately by sending messages of their own to the world.

A South Lizasauria broadcast a short video featuring a demonstration of a Bohemoth Battlecruizer's power. Another part of the movie was a documentary on major space battles won by SLSC or South Lizasaurian Space Corps and officers promoting the space core by stating how effective and powerful it is.
Warrant Officer Clorgs: Yes well, if it weren't for the fleet the nation would not have recovered like it did and our people wouldn't be as secure as they are.


Admiral Warfrog: Please keep in mind that we respect self determination ans sovereignty and that our starfleet is only used for the purposes of national security or good.

OOC: I also have ships that are the space ship versions of old naval ships used from WWII to now. I have bullet shaped ships with large cannons resembling a destroyer.

Announcement from the Darthalian Space Age Revolution Engineers

Our first step into gaining an orbital advantage over our enemies is the construction of a fully functional space satellite capable of firing an arsenal of ballistic missiles at designated ground targets. To prevent the amount of space garbage orbiting Earth we will attempt to create this satellite out of environmentally friendlly materials should the satellite be destroyed for any reason while still in orbit.

We would welcome the aid of international engineers and engineering company who specialize in the construction of space craft. International scientists are also welcome to join the extensive team working on the construction of this
revolutionary weapon.

Breaking News

Today, the team of scientists presented Lord Der'Khaine and his cabinet with a simulation of the satellite in action. The video was later leaked to the public. Here is what they showed:

The video shows a large satellite with the eight-sided star of the Black Imperium imprinted on it orbiting planet Earth. A cylinder that makes up part of the body of the satellite expands outward to reveal a number of missiles stored inside of it. The cylinder rotates to the missile selected by the operators at mission control. The missile is propelled forward, and enters the atmosphere at extreme velocity. Even as the steel heats to scorching temperatures it continues to hurtle towards it target. The video shows the target. A number of artillery emplacements in the mountains.

Soon enough the missile makes a direct hit on one of the batteries. A magnificent explosion marking its successful hit.

Lord Der'Khaine openly and proudly congratulated the team. Even awarding them with more funds to further the project. He made this statement to the public: "I'm extremely pleased with the progress our team is making on the construction of our first space weapon. In hopes to quicken the pace of the project I have indeed increased funding on the project. I look forward to being at mission control when it is launched into orbit."
