The raid to capture the Jerusalem Broadcast Center did more than allow the Jews in Jerusalem to cause a full scale rebellion across Israel. It also allowed Ehud Shamir and his forces to call for foreign assistance. Shamir had planned for this and had a prepared statement broadcast over the satellites.

“This message is form the Jewish Resistance Forces of Jerusalem. We are in a very desperate situation. After nearly four years of imprisonment in what was once our own state, we have begun an uprising against our oppressors. As the situation stands now, we have taken control of almost the entire Western portion of Jerusalem and the Old City.

Our forces in Tel Aviv had managed to reach a stalemate in the city and sporadic fighting has erupted across the country. Victory is still far from us. We are running dangerously low on weapons and ammunition. The Arab oppression forces were able to reinforce and are sending more men to crush our resistance. I am urging all world governments and the Jews of the world to please send us anything you can spare to allow us to win the battle so that we may once again be a free people in the land of Zion and Jerusalem. Our situation is desperate. Please do not let us be wiped out and end up like our grandfathers in Warsaw.”

The message was transmitted. With luck, the Jews would be able to get much needed arms and assistance which might be enough to break the backs of the Arab forces.

These assault rifles all come with 40mm grenade launchers, and we shall be sending you 1,000,000 40mm grenades to go with them. The two Lamonian C-130s had lifted off from Government AFB in the Free Republic, and headed directly to the aid of the Resistance Forces. Several aerial refuelings later, they were over the western part of Jerusalem, their neutral status guaranteeing them safety... for the moment. When they were over the center of the western area of Jerusalem, their bay doors opened, and the dropmasters of both planes released their cargo. The assault rifles, ammo, grenade launchers, and grenades flew off of the back ramp, and started to fall to earth when their parachutes opened. While the packages were dropping, men could be seen swarming over them, ready to receive them when they landed. With the last 'packages' released, the planes closed their bay doors, and took the long flight back to the Free Republic.

However, we would rather not agree to terms with so many strings attached. When we win our fight, we will need full autonomy and do not wish to be tied down to terms which might limit our autonomy in the future.
