Greetings.

This is a colective message from the Ministerial Council, the Assembly of the Laity and the Sanhedrin.

Currently, the innocent people of DoubleWideville are under attack. While our former Emperor's behavior may have been rash and uncivillized, we feel it is wrong for the decent people of DoubleWideville to suffer for their misguided leaders decision.
Several attempts have been made to come to peaceful terms with the invading nations, especially Ryou, and despite our best efforts, brutal and ruthless bombings, killings and brutality is being waged against the DoubleWidevillian people.
The old, the young and the infirm are suffering. We are resisting, however we feel these nations will stoop to barbaric measures and assault us with nuclear missles. This is genocide!
We call on the U.N to send peacekeeping forces and to put pressure on the invading nations, especially Ryou, to act civilized and come to the negotiating table.
We hereby request a peacekeeping force from the Christian nations of the U.N to come into DoubleWideville andf reestablish order and sanity
If the U.N agrees to this, we will surrender our former Emperor to stand trial for war crimes. We will stand down our militias, and sing a Covenant of peace with the U.N and commit to allow peacekeepers in our nation to arbritrate disputes between the invaders and us.
Please come to our aid. Refugees are pouring over the Salvation Mountains o a nearby nation on our border. This nation may be attacked by the ruthless Ryous, even though they have done them no harm. Please let the Ryou's know this is UNACCEPTABLE.

Yeah, and they nuked TWO cities of ours. Plus, they have bombed us, napalmed us, impaled children on sticks and done other horrors.
We request the U.N put a stop to this madness. We have acted civilized to nations that have acted so to us. We request a peacekeeping force to be sent to the Holy and Righteous Empire of DoubleWideville made up of Christian nations.
We request that the U.N nations that feel the poor people of DoubleWideville do not deserve to be bombed, napalmed, nuked or have their school children impaled on sticks, put pressure or Ryou and Greal to back off and let us negotiate a peace.
Surely, if the forces of the Alliance for a Free Mind believe in freedom of speech and religion, and if they are not just barbarians, colonizers and rouge states, they will want to respect the universal authority of this august body and what it stands for.
Even as we speak, people die. Let us end this bloodshed! DoubleWideville calls on the U.N to act in it's wisdom and mercy to end the destruction on both sides through peacekeeeping and negotiations.

They see us as a nation of stereotyped people and despise us for our piety and beliefs. The DoubleWidevillian people are a good and generous people. No one man, even the Emperor, represents the people of DoubleWideville.

Have you looked into Good/Arms Inc.? It's a Dourian run Company that could probably solve most of your supply needs. If you need nukes, we have them. If you need an orbital weapons platform for a few days, we can rent one to you at an extremely exorbitant price.

Karshkovia wished to point out that no nation has used nuclear weapons on Doublewideville, nor has any napalm been used, or atrocities been committed against her citizens. Such statements are blant lies which can easily be verified as such. (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=547027)

However it is true that Doublewideville committed acts of terrorism against the world by sending spies equipped with nuclear weapons into foreign countries to force their beliefs on the rest of the world. Some of those nuclear weapons were detonated, killing millions of innocent people from various countries instantly. Many more have died as a result of radiation poisoning, and scores more will perish in the following months and years. The damage to infrastructure, industry and environment in those countries and surrounding countries is in the trillions of dollars, while the human cost is beyond measure.

Without these acts, the assembled nations of the world would not be retaliating against this terrorist nation.

As for Karshkovia, we only wish to see the leader of doublewideville that caused these acts be brought forward and put on trial for his crimes and Doublewideville pay for the repair, reconstruction and clean up efforts caused by their leader's actions. We do not wish to occupy Doublewideville or keep any parcel of land. We only wish for justice to be carried out.

To the nation of DoubleWideVille;

We have performed extensive inteligence gathering operations against accusations laid at both the feet of your nation and against those invading. Full intelligence reports attached for discussion.

We find the targetting of civilians with nuclear weapons deplorable, while our government is a secular government, Bazalonia is by all practical definitions a christian nation.

Our immediate concern is that should the UN step in, it could be seen as an endoursement of Doublewidevilles action. Which we cannot in good concious support. However if other members would support a peacekeeping action then our troops are ready. On the condition that all nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction be destroyed under the supervision of peacekeeping forces and DoubleWideVille submit itself to inspections ensuring that the nation has no Weapons of Mass Destruction, it not acquiring said weapons on the international market, nor producing it's own weapons of mass destruction.

These are the terms that must be met before we even consider sending our troops into harms way.

I'm going to pass some unoffical judgements, due to the fact that the gnomes in The Permenta Panel are busy, but I bet they would agree to me, so...

First: DW, about the "nuclear suitcases". Okay. I hate the Islamic radical threat as well as "Secularists" as much as any sane person out there, as I am a Terranist. But THIS is too extreme:

"We do not intend to let the Faith die from the forces of Secularism or Islam. We will not cease to exist, and we will not lie down and die while you spread your filtth and trash over the world."

As well as this:

"Our forces are well entrenched, armed with tactical nukes and willing to sacrafice themselves for the glory of DoubleWideville and our God. If you do attack us, be warned that these weapons will be detonated and other catastrophes will befall you."

I'm going to just state the obivous:

1) The United Nations "condemns" all wars fought in the name of religion. That's of course, does nothing, but it showcases one thing: The UN has voted, and they don't like this.

2) What you should be worried about is the Eon Convention, which states, quite clearly, that the genocide is "the systematic and deliberate extermination of a society, or part of a society, based on arbitrary criteria (such as skin colour, genetic conditions or religion)". I'd also assume that it would be the 'lack of religion' as well. Secularism and Islam are both protected.

Nuking people based on this sort of critera, qualifies as genocide, IMHO. Even threatening to nuke people...well, that also counts as genocide.

So, DW, I think you brought this fate on...er...yourself. If you are bluffing, just state so right now, but you already soured relations. A note, in this hyper-interventionist world, making one small move will cause terrible, terrible actions. We call this sort of action a "dogpile"...

Two, yes, no nukes has been used yet on DW. Not YET, however, if and when those nukes actually get launched and reach their targets, we're going to see civilians die and die and die. And to be certain, I don't like nukes. The UN however has made no comment supporting nukes or banning them. Nukes are allowed, but its thier usage that we will monitor.

The nuclear suitcases by DW are surely wrong, but I bet that if too many nukes are used, with the goal of killing every single indivudal in your nation, that would be surely be a violation of human rights, not genocide, but just 'mass murder'. Ryou's angry comments to DW also bring tensions up to a high, and I condmen them.

Three, the actual attack itself. I think the actual invasion has been filled with pillaging and assaults, and civilians may have died. I got nothing conclusive on that, however, but without them actually taking any precautions, I'm going to think that it is rather likely that there are crimes being committed by the Interventionists.

Honestly, though, this is currently the 251st World War. Do you guys have anything better to do?

So, as most International Incidents goes, both sides has committed massive war crimes or will commit massive war crimes. But the UN will likely side against DW because he did start the Incident, and has actually acted on those threats. The other nations made threats of nuclear assautls and not followed up on them, and has merely engaged in a ground war, with all the horrors that entails.

Therefore, I suggest a solution:

1. All threats of military intervention and the nuking of DW be withdrawn by the Interventionts' nations. All actual military interventions be halted.
2. "All nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction be destroyed under the supervision of peacekeeping forces and DoubleWideVille submit itself to inspections ensuring that the nation has no Weapons of Mass Destruction, it not acquiring said weapons on the international market, nor producing it's own weapons of mass destruction."---Bazalonia
3. "The Invading forces must promise to respect our churches and especially the Temple which we are reconstructing. No non-Christian must be allowed to desecrate the Temple being rebuilt by putting foot on it's sacred precints. No Muslim, Atheist or Secularist may put foot on the Temple's precints. Jews are fine as is Christians, however to step on the sacred area of the Temple."--DW.
4. Peacekeepers be sent to DW in order to allow for future negogations on the status of the DW Government. If DW wishes for a represenative of the UN (aka me or Dorian) to attend, then they state so. Peacekeepers must follow Clause 3 as well.

We offer this as a possible solution. Will both sides accept it? I do not know.

That is true, but thanks to "Humanitarian Intervention", we have the right to authorize a military intervention against anyone committing human right abuses. The TPP needs to be called up to handle this sort of thing and they are especially busy at the moment. I would guess, however, if the TPP was called up, it would likely authorize the Intervention of DW, but make sure it is conducting it more humanely. I would bet that they wouldn't allow for any nukes to be dropped.)

My IC excuse for my nation not being there is that Lord Der'Khaine had more pressing matters and wasn't willing to sacrifice his troops to the guerrilla tactics of Doublewideville so had them all sent home.
