Frederick Fieaiorit (Nobles Party)

Frederick is a former officer of the Imperial Guard and has over twenty years of disguised service in it. Yet, despite his past the military he still very much a noble as he is a strong advocate to the return of the Valgardian noble oligarchy that once had ruled the Empire in the centuries prior to the establishment of the modern Scandinvan Empire. As well, he is a strong supporter of conscription, a believer in the idea of a natural elite, supporter of maintaining traditional rights of the people, advocate of the expansion of the Empire, wants to turn the Scandinvan Parliament into nothing more then a puppet whose sole purpose is to keep up appearances, and is a firm defender of the traditional manner of near autocratic rule that the Scandinvan/Valgardian Emperors have had for thousands of years.

Christian Erida (Imperialist Party)

A man born to the highest social circle within the Empire and has enjoyed a lifestyle fitting of kings. Yet, his luxurious and privileged past has only turned him into a person that is a staunch supporter of the Emperor, a stalwart traditionalist who wishes to maintain the status quo, a man who favors the overseas expansion of the Empire’s colonies, a defender of the Parliament as the voice and tool of the people, and is also known to be against any non-Scandinvan from gaining citizenship unless they earn it by serving in the Imperial Army.

Michael Zatlin (Communist Party)

One of the few Scandinvan politicians who never served in the army and as result he been seen as mostly a coward. For this though he is a calculating person who wishes to turn the Empire into a fully socialist state. He himself wants to abolish the throne and exile the Emperor, disband the House of Lords, establish a national assembly of the people, redistribute the wealth of the higher classes to the poor, and also wants to make everything state property down to the smallest acre of farmland.

Henry Hamude (Norse First Party)

A old general in the Imperial Legion he is part of the old guard which helped maintain Emperor Olaf V control over the Empire. Due to his past he is a rabid xenophobe, a strong opponent of immigration, wants to prevent citizenship for all non-Scandinvans, and also wants to reimplement the old blood laws that Emperor Olaf V.

Lawrence Gaston (Republic Party)

A former member of the Imperial Special Forces under the old Emperor Olaf V who served in the various campaigns against insurrection during his tour of duty. During his duty thought the things he saw and was ordered to do made him turn into a person who saw the flaw of the current monarchy and how weak the Empire was without a working democracy in effect. As such he wants to abolish the monarchy, grant citizenship to all denizens of the Scandinvans, get rid of the nobility, create a new fully democratic republic for the Empire, and also wants to work with foreign nations to get what the Scandinvans cannot actually produce themselves.

I am Mrs Erid and today we shall have with us on 'Politics' Mr. Fieaiort who is running for Parliamentry Leader at the behest of the Nobles Party. For this evening we shall give ask him a number of questions regarding his stance on some important issues.

To start out with why do you take such a hard stance against Parliament Mr. Fieaiort in spite of all that they have done for the Empire?

Quite simply, they have only brought corruption to the Imperial government and have do nothing to benefit the Empire.

Next, there are rumors that you are a staunch supporter of keeping abortion illegal in the Empire. Is this true?

Very much so as every child God kindly gives to our nation only makes it stronger and once the division of cells begins to make the child a new life is born that is different then any life forms before it.

Alright then, might we inquire as to what perquisites do you want to implement for a person to servce in government?

In short I want every public offical to have served in the Imperial Armed Forces and that they be a born citizen of the Empire.

Our last question for the night shall be as to why do you seek the position of the leader of Parliament, despite your stauch belief in it being nothing more then a den of thieves and scoundrels?

It is because of Parliment being nothing more then a den of thieves and scoundrels that I seek to be made leader of Parliment. Because as leader of Parliament I plan to purge all of Parliament of corrupt persons.

Thank you, Mrs. Erid, but it is the duty of all Scandinvan politicians to have close relations with the constituents who are responsible for putting them into office.

Alrighty then, may we ask what is your position on immigration and citizenship?

Well, to simply put it I want to keep immigration open only to those who college graduates and as such will provide labor that will not reduce the wages of the worker class. As for citizenship I believe it should be open to all those who prove themselves by working in civil services or earn it through the blood they shed by serving in the Imperial Auxiliary forces.

Second, what do you believe we should exploit oil prices abroad by selling our own oil at higher prices or do you think we should continue to pump out oil at the same price?

As a nation of virture and honor we should not exploit the needs of other nations by raising our own prices, infact I believe the price of oil should be frozen in the Empire.

What do you our Empire should do in order to maintain the level of life our citizens currently enjoy?

As an Empire we must make the conscious decision that in order to maintain our present life style we must expand abroad and gain access to foreign resources and markets, though it may be called profiteering by some other nations.

Last question for tonight, what do you think should be done about the current Parliament?

I believe that we should do a thorough search of Parliament and find out which members of Parliament have committed crimes in office and from there they should be ejected from it. As well, I believe the current Parliament should be doubled in size because Parliament’s size has not changed since the reign of Emperor Reginald II three generations ago.

Sadly, due to his busy schedule we must keep this direct and we shall quickly go to the questions.

Good evening to you Mr. Zatlin, and to begin why do you believe that you would be a good leader for our nation?

I believe our nation must finally end the ancient pratices which are out of date in this modern age and all the other candidates are proposing ideas that are simply recycled ideas from idealogies that cannot function, for the long run, in any modern day culture or economy.

Fair enough, yet how do you plan to achieve this?

I plan to seize the wealth of the Imperial family and the riches of the wealthy to fund wide scale centralization of the economy and to begin the process of creating a state controlled economy that is entirely self sufficent and produces a large amount of surplus that might be traded to other nations so as to increase the wealth of our own nation.

What political changes do you plan to make to the Scandinvan Empire?

I plan to abolish the monarchy, to disband the House of Lords, create a strong and efficent Parliament for our new political system, to divide the nation into 350 provinces to give power to grass roots leaders, to increase the size of the central government ten fold, to seize all lands belonging to corporations and wealthy individuals and to put under the control of the government, and I also plan to develop new branches of the government ot manage the change that will change our great nation into a modern example of efficeny.

What do you plan to do about family homes and family farms?

I plan to give all property to the persons that reside on it, which for example means that all apartments belong to the people residing in them, the right to own it and to sell it as much as they see fit as I plan to leave small scale relaity free from total government control.

What is your stance on immigration?

I believe that we must end the immigration of all non-Europeans in order to preserve our glorious heritage and maintain the cultural integrity of our great nation.

What do you believe should be done to expand the economic powers of our Empire?

I believe that we must being willing to send our troops to expand the markets of our Empire and that we must also seize the resources we need from nations with non-Europeans cultures.

What things should be done by the Parliament?

We must expand the military, we must invest in new weaponry so as to give us technology advantage over our foes, we must restrict citizenship to only those who rightfully deserve it, and we must also be willing to defend our nation’s honor against all challenges.

Gaston's Five Points:

We must end thousands of years of tryanny and give power to the people where it rightfully belongs.

We must end the singular role of the Emperors and the nobles who act only in their combined self interest.

We must do what is nesscary for the whole of the Scandinvan nation.

We must give establish a system of merit within our government, without the old system of nobles and wealthy individuals ruling our society without giving heed to the rule of the majority.

We must allow open advancment through the ranks of our society without one's birth being weighed in.
