Hello, this is Harold Kentiuk, of the Sao Tomiv Daily News, reporting on what is now being confirmed by the Sao Tomiv Defence Force as an Earthquake resulting in a volcanic eruption on the island of Huwlao, affecting the small city of Weston (pop:185,000) and several Weston counties. For our international viewers tuning in Sao Tomiv is a small five island nation with Awli, Huwlao, Beristain, Carlus, and Tomiv. Huwlao is a small island with a population of 230,000 located on the south end of Sao Tomiv. Reports have indicated that Weston has been covered in a fine dust from the volcanic eruption and neighborhoods that are on the mountainside have been evacuated. However, no word has been heard from Yanitz a small farming community about 600 meters from the base of the mountain and home to nearly 317 people. The Sao Tomiv government has appealed for medical aid and food aid for what is expected to be between 15,000 and 45,000 people and the danger is not over as lava continues to flow down the mountainside, but currently away from Weston. We will keep you posted.

Weston, Sao Tomiv:

Dust filtered down on the small city of Weston and a rockslide slid down into the Northside neighborhood damaging a school and collapsing two houses before it ended because of the earthquake and volcano. Luckily only one person was hurt in the school and residents of the two houses had been evacuated by Army personnel. Residents of the city could see the mountain base lit in a bright orange glow as powerful explosions rocked underneath spewing lava and rocks into the air. There was already fatalities from the disaster when a newschopper from Weston had its engine clogged with dust and it crashed landed into a open field south of Weston. The pilot was killed in the crash landing but the reporter, Eddy Nuit and the co-pilot Said Ramsey were only hurt lightly. The Weston city plan was to evacuate the northern mountainside city neighborhoods and if lava began flowing down this side of the mountain, southly to Weston then the whole city would be evacuated.

A volcano has erupted on our volcanic island chain reportedly having killed 2 people in its wake and left the city of Weston in disaster mode. We ask for medical and food supplies to feed and care for the citizens that have been made temporarily homeless because of this disaster.

We wish to send you humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and construction workers to help you rebuild, and as such we will send 2 C-141 Galaxies, and one An-225 Myria full of supplies to your nation's capital airport straight away,

The starry night was quite tranquil, only to be broken by the shrill noise of the An-225 Myria and the two C-141 Starlifters taking off full of medical supplies and medical personnel, and construction supplies and contractors. They headed towards Sao Tomiv.

THe Kiravian Empire sympathises with the residents of Sao Tomiv, and are willing to send food aid, and medical personnel. We have also cleared the Sao Tomivan people for refugee settlement rights inside the Kiravian Empire.

Three Defense Corps transport planes took off from the military base of Porji, carrying a message of hope to Sao Tomiv. Surgeons, nurses, medicines, vaccines, blankets, equipment of the field hospital, engineers and members of the National Search and Rescue were boarded on the planes.

The government of the Federation of Hurfdurfistan is appalled by the callousness thus far demonstrated by the world community, and is thus airlifting supplies and medical personnel into Sao Tomiv (with Sao Tomiv's permission, of course), and is also dispatching a special Hazmat unit to search the area around Yanitz, should it still exist.

The scene at SAFB was, in a word, hectic, as men and supplies were crammed into four waiting C-130 transports. Dr Richard Kessler, MD, the head of Hurfdurfistani relief efforts in Sao Tomiv, took one last drag from his cigarette, brushed off his digital fatigues, and stepped into a Hercules. As the rear ramp closed behind him, he mentally steeled himself for the inevitable scenes of devastation he'd find in Sao Tomiv.

The two F-16s designated to escort the four Hercs took off first, their jet engines shrieking through the night, followed by the low roar of the Hercules' turboprops, and finally the whir of the eight UH-60s' gas turbines. At top speed, with a good tailwind, the aircraft could land in Sao Tomiv in less than eight hours.

Reports from the village Yanitz were disasterous. Only one building survived the explosion and lava flow and nearly 148 people were reportedly killed another 70 reportedly missing with the rest badly injuried. In Weston 3 people were killed in the dust that fell onto the city. In the other counties nearly 27 people were reportedly killed, 14 missing and another 1,000 people wounded with nearly 145,000 people left homeless. Therefore 248 people are presumed dead in this volcanic eruption.

The parliament of the Kingdom of Castilla y Belmonte, in tandem with the authority of the King Alfonso VI, has agreed to send an aid package of $10 million dollars to the government of Sao Tomiv. Hopefully, this money will be of use to purchase further medical supplies and food, or to provide money for the reconstruction of the city. The nation will keep an eye on the situation and may be willing to send more funds at a later date to ease the progress of surpassing this natural disaster. Furthermore, if required, the Ejército de Tierra is willing to deploy two squadrons of tactical transport helicopters to evacuate citizens closest to the danger. Please, keep Castilla informed on the situation and on the necessities of the nation. Castilla's recent economic resurgence has allowed us to partake on a wider scale in the international world, and we are hoping to share our newfound wealth with those in need.

Furthermore, our largest construction companies are always open to new contracts. It should be noted that our companies may be some of the cheapest to award a contract to. We are willing to increase relief funding if some sort of agreement is reached between our companies and your government.

"Sir? We're approaching Sao Tomiv now. ETA ten minutes." The pilot of the Herc Kessler was riding in on called through his headset.
"Go ahead and request permission to land, preferably at a military airport, but a civilian facility would be acceptable as well," Kessler replied, "All Blackhawk units: When we land, refuel, then head on over to Yanitz. See if you can't rescue people. I want SaR teams on the ground, land if you must, and then all Blackhawks in a holding pattern above the village. When your teams radio in, winch up wounded before you load your teams. Kessler out."

The F-16s broke off and headed back to Hurfdurfistan as the transports approached the island.

"Sao Tomiv local authority, this is Hurfdurfistani transport CZ-11623, callsign Whiskey zero niner. We are en route, along with three other transports and eight SaR helos, with medical supplies and personnel to offer humanitarian aid, requesting permission to land, and a location to do so."

The C-141's approached the island of Sao Tomiv, and the pilot said "Sao Tomiv local authorities, this is Peace Haven Flight, we request permission to land with the supplies and personages aboard over."

The three large Northern Rangerian Defense Corps airplanes were approaching the island chain that formed the sovereign state of Sao Tomiv. They could already see the pillar of smoke rising from Huwlao, and that caused some concerns among the personnel. Nonetheless, they were ready to do their job. Also, they were not alone: the hospital ships HMS Armo and HMS Gid were already approaching Sao Tomiv waters, ready to offer transportation and back-up.
