Commandant Barry Macked (Democratic Republican Party)
: Barry Macked was the Commandant of the Calizorinstanian Marine Corps from 2005- January 2007, and he was the most popular Commandant. He also was the Foreign Minister for a short time, after his brother John, and then he retired in December of 08. He advocates a smaller government, and complete elimination of welfare programs, and more money to the military.

John Woods (Calizorinstanian Communist Party)

By far the most controversial candidate, he was a former officer in the Calizorinstanian Communist Party, and has rumored to have been a leading officer of the Red Stars, back when Lone Star threatened to take over the Wyoming territory. He takes inspiration from Lenin, and yet he seems to be more of a National Socialist. John Woods once ran for President in the 07 elections, only to be defeated by John Arnold. He is the brother of Lt.Bob Woods, who destroyed 4 Lerasian Destroyers in the Lerasian detainment conflict, as a F/A-15A Cardinal Pilot.

Barry Shier (The Green Party)

Barry Shier was a former lawyer for the firm Shier and Green, and he advocates cutting the defense budget, and also outlawing foreign citizenship, which is drawing great controversy.

Henry Macked (National Monarchist Party)

He is the son of Former Foreign Minister John Macked, and he was a Colonel in the Air Force, flying F-15E Strike Eagles, and F/B-22 Strike Raptors at Norton Air Force Base with the 144th. He advocates a return to a monarchy like the original Calizorinstanian Government.

The Orwellian Meritocracy of Faxanavia, a close friend and ally to Calizorinstan, officially gives its support to Henry Macked as the leader in '09. It appears, from the overview, that only Macked fully understands the futility of Democracy, while not giving into that greatest of evils- communism.

Several prominent No Taxes corporations have joined together to donate 100 Million USD to Barry Shier's campaign.

Barry Shier was pleased to hear this when he received the funds, and he responded to them and said "I thank you all for the contribution, and I hope that I will win, if so, I will lower the import tariffs."

"Cutting welfare, cutting immigration or cutting democracy? What type of election is that?", was the title of the thread on DiploNet regarding the elections happening in Calizorinstan.

"Cutting immigration, at least this way they won't have to bow to kings or dictators, their poor citizens won't be completely helpless and having as the only effective choice to ensure financial safety crime", was one way or another the most supported option. Drugs are like alcoholic beverages in Third Spanish States and smoking marijuana is accepted as something as normal as drinking a glass of beer. Nobody was shocked by the news as there was nothing felonious or criminal on using drugs for them.

Also, after those news, a new, heavily encrypted message reached Barry Shier e@mail, tracing its origins and even the fact it was destined for him was near impossible as it was written by someone using several proxy servers and redirect anonymous e@mails:

Stoklomolvi would like to donate $25,000,000,000, or twenty-five billion universal standard dollars, to John Woods of the Calizorinstanian Communist Party. We must remind Mr. John Woods that they must outlaw all drugs, which would hamper working efforts of all people. We've just got the scoop that John Woods, the Communist candidate, was the officer that executed 15 men and woman at the Mira Mesa shopping center, so that they wouldn't have to care for them.

The Results of the Primary are in, Shier, Leeds, eliminated, now a tie between Henry and Barry Macked.

The results from the 2009 primaries are in, Shier is out of running, and Leeds is definitely out, only 3% of the population voted for Leeds, and only 25% voted for Shier.

It is a hot contest between Barry and Henry Macked, with Barry leading at 47%, and Henry close behind at 46%.

"OK, Alex, let me stop you right there. Why do I care about this?"

"Because, Mr. President," replied Secretary Tehrani, "these Calizorinstani are active in that international organization no one's heard of, and they're one of the nations known to terrorize delegates at the Strangers' Bar."

"So?"

"So that's where you like to pick up chicks, sir."

"Ah, right. These elections are obviously the most important international event since Arrogant Bastard Ale opened its brewery here. Now what's my position?"

"Well, sir, a lot of nations are showing support for military leader Barry Macked ..."

So I will wait a couple more days before casting my vote, effectively making this a waste of a post.

The final election results of the 2009 elections are in, and once more does the Democratic Republican Party get control of the coveted Presidential seat, and they also have seventy percent of the seats of the senate and house. Now former President, John Arnold gave his last speech today.

He said "I hope that my friend Barry, whom I've known of years will be as wise a ruler as I hope he will. I am happy that I had the chance for six years to be your leader, and I hope that in the future, I might run again." John left hints that he might run for President again in the 2014 elections.

Barry gave his first speech and he said "My first act as President, is to invite nations to the my inaugural President's ball that I'm holding in three months."
