OOC: I am Rping a made up country in my region called Koznia. This story is about the independence and creation of Batsheva-Chana, a new Holy Jewish State that once was a province in Koznia and was being oppressed because of thier religion. Koznia and Batsheva-Chana are east of Latislavia and across the Boro Bay.
IC: Jan.1 2008: For so long, the region of Batsheva-Chana in Koznia had been oppressed by the pro Islamic and pro Eastern Orthodox Kozniak government. In the entire history of Koznia, that region was the bloodiest, poorest, and repressed region in the entire Equatorial Atlantic. Mainly because early on, its people were listed as 100% Jewish. This region was the cause of many a civil war in Koznia. Well, in order to work out a compromise, the government granted them much greater autonomy. Now, centuries later, Batsheva-Chana, flourished economically and became a wealthy region with its own port city for trading. This scared Kozniaks as they feared that soon they would want independence. Sure enough, Batsheva-Chana, on the first day of the new year, issued a statement to the Kozniak government, saying they were now a free, soveriegn nation. This angered Koznia as they threatened to resort to violence against the region. Batsheva-Chana, instead, ignored Koznia and began setting up borders. Infuriated, Koznia sent a large army comprised of soldiers and tanks, to blockade the province and then they stormed small villages on the outskirts of town. There had always been the problem of Hegemony between Koznia and Batsheva-Chana, but never like this. They burned down houses, synagouges, and began torturing and killing hundereds of thousnads of innocent people. Latislavia, seeing this as genocide and as a blockade to freedom, without warning, began air strikes on Saerjava, Koznia's capital. Soon, the bombings in Saerjava became more frequent and more destructive. Then, as a last resort because Koznia had not withdrawn their troops from Batsheva-Chana, began bombing smaller towns and villages. After almost two weeks of bombings, Koznia's government issued a surrender and a withdrawal of troops. Then, Latislavia and Koznia signed the Treaty of Saerjava, saying that it would recognize Batsheva-Chana has a sovereign state and that it would not atack Batsheva-Chana anymore. It also provided the construction of a barrier wall around the borders of Batsheva-Chana. Reluctantly, the Kozniak government agreed to the treaty.
Jan.4: At the annual Equatorial Atlantic Council meeting of the New Year, Koznia announced that it was redrawing from the EAC because of "brute agression and the westernization being forced upon our nation and other Eastern Nations by Latislavia and its allies.
Jan.6: More of the Eastern Nations resign membership from the EAC because they agree with Koznia, including Razakistan,Novaczeck,Kartastan, and South Crotaslavia.
Today: All of these nations have developed their own council. Just 10 minutes ago, the leader, Kozniak President Boris Kazim announced that all these Eastern Nations are "now realizing the pain that the West has caused and see their power hungry ways as destructive to the East's sovereignty. Now, seeing the permanent partnership of the East as the only way to combat the problem, we now declare, that all Eastern nations will untie to form one super nation,"(cheers from the crowd), "further more, tracing back to our common ancestry, the new Eastern Super Nation shall now be called, BOROSLAVIA!!!" (Now, Loud cheering is heard, along with the chanting of Boroslavia). The government announced that it will be a socialist, communistic government, so"everyone can be equal." The official name for Boroslavia is the Union of Socialist Eastern States of Boroslavia or USESB. This new government will be controlled by an authoritarian oligarchy, where each former nation is allowed to still have some autonomy but still untie under one government. The Head of State is the newly appointed Chancellor and former Kozniak President Boris Kazim, who established communism early on in his own nation. This new radical union has scared the other nations of the EA and other nations in the West. Although, Latislavik Premier Rein Wilhlems stated in a press conference in Belrosko, "This Union, now with all its different nations, will untie for awhile, but eventually the different ethnic groups will only serve their own self-interests, and that, in itslef will be it's downfall."
