OOC:Hervia is a made up state on an island 30 miles west of the Republic Of Colstream which is also an island.

History:

The island of Hervia was discovered in 1901 by explorers from the then Colstream Empire. The island was colonised by refugees from the earthquake which devastated the nearby island of Kightran which broke apart into 3 smaller islands. In 1930 there was a nasty war between the Hervians and the colonising Kightrans on the island. The Hervians won deporting most of the Kightrans and turning the rest into slaves. In 1950, slavery was abolished and the Asimas allowed to leave. In 1990, the Kightrans were allowed to return to Hervia and were given full residence rights by the then democratic government. But in 2001, a coup by the Hervian Army General Triesk Jackivisa destroyed the democratic government and installed himself as dictator of Hervia. Then in 2005, the Kightrans were stripped of their rights given in 1990 and forced to work for the Hervian Government. Then 2 days ago, on the 5th January 2008, the Hervian Army began to snatch Krightans from their homes and shoot them in a genocidal Campaign started by the Hervian Dictator to "rid all Krightans from the Hervian Kingdom".

The Colstream Air Force began an air campaign using 400 Aircraft of all types to ground the Hervian Air Force and to deny the Hervian Army and the Hervian Navy any air support.

The Colstream Taskforce left Ashland Harbour. It sailed for Hervian Waters only 5 hours away.

The Colstream Government had declared war on Hervia at around 5PM Colstream Time basing the declaration on the account of Genocide. The Colstream President, James Parker went on television promising that the people who had perpatrated the crimes would be punished by a war crimes trial after the war ended. He also asked for more nations to unite against the Hervian government but claimed that he was not fighting the Hervian People.

Hervia has sent no plea for help at this time due to communications breakdown due to the airstrikes on their communications network.

Evening News from Zaheranian Independent State News:

The anchorman looked slightly bored in his grey suit as the news coverage began. He looked into the camera and began to speak.

"Good evening. Tonight, we will begin our news coverage with the invasion of the island-state Hervia by forces from the Republic of Colostream, which has accused the Hervian government of genocide of it's Kightran minority. The Colstream Airforce has carried out attacks against military targets and communication centra. The Colstream president, James Parker, is asking for military support in the campaign. Officials of the Zaheranian Government have stated that regular Zaheranian forces will not participate in this battle. However special "Volunteer Corps" have been set up, so that officers and soldiers in the Zaheranian Army can take a temporarily leave from their normal duties to fight in Hervia".

The camera swept over scenes of blue-clad soldiers marching through streets filled with cheering citizens, followed by tanks and artillery pieces.

"These units will fight under Colstream command, but will be supplied with equipment through donations, as the government is selling old equipment to the Corps at a tenth of the normal price. This far, 25,000 soldiers have been enrolled in the Corps. The amount of donated money is this far about 90,000,000. Corps officials are asking the Colstream Navy to help with transportation of the Corps forces. Merchant vessels with ro/ro capacity is estimated to handle a third of the rquired transports.

It had been nearly 5 ours since the Colstream Government's declaration of war. In those few hours, all the radar sites on the east Hervian coast had been disabled by JDAM 500lb bombs dropped by CAF F-117A Stealth Fighters. Hervian Television had stated that a member of the Hervian Revolutionary Council had been killed in an air raid on his home by 2 Dassualt Super Etendards. There was also a power cut on the 2nd largest city, Hermia when a strike by 2 AU-130U Spectre Aerial Gunships firing their internal 105mm howizer, 40mm Bofors Cannon, 25mm GAU-12U Cannon and its AGM Hellfire Rockets destroyed the generators and carpeted the nearby garrison with fire.
The Hervian Dictator, Triesk Jackivisa went on Hervian National Television to declare that "the extermination of the Kightran minority in Hervia would go on despite the Colstream declaration of war". He also stated that "the Hervian Army would fight for every bit of Hervian soil and is ready to spill blood for the glory of the Hervian People". The Hervian Air Force has been unable to get up into the air due to the airsrikes on their airfields. The Colstream Air Force has managed to fly around 300 sorties so far in the air campaign and has lost no aircraft to enemy action so far.

Inside the walls of Mokastana City a discussion was going on. It appeared that the war in Mejico was almost over and the last MBSA operation to stop a genocide ended horrifically. now with the death of their Director the MBSA needed an operation to make them feel as proud as they once did. Therefore, without checking operations with the government. Acting director Steven Francisco called in Major James Maxwell for a private meeting.

"Major, let me get to the point. We have a situation outside of Mokastana's borders that requires some attention. Another genocide in the world, and the last time the MBSA intervened in an genocide we lost and island."

"sir, excuse me, but you called me away from duty on the main Island for this. I have things to deal with....wait, you mean the reason Kroando attacked was because of you guys?"

"Yes sadly, we were young and stupid, back then i wasn't even part of the operation, but we have another one going on. This time in Colstream, we want you to command a small army to intervene and deal with it. It will require a promotion to General if you don't mind. You see the MBSA needs a small personal army that works without government intervention. What I would like you-"

"You want me to do what?"

"We want you to lead a small army that answers only to me, or the current Director, as the General of this army you call all the shots. You get the last say if anything will happen, since it will be disguised as a volunteer army. Leaving you to decide if the MBSA decision is good in your book. As of now we need it formed ASAP to get to help with this genocide. Are you willing to lead it?"

"I would prefer to be fighting in Mejico for the reuniting of Mokastana, but I cannot turn my back on a chance to fight against genocide. I will do this operation, as a volunteer commander of a volunteer army. As for your private army deal, i want to know what i will be doing that requires a blind fold on the president and parliament."

"I promise you that we will show you all that later. Today we send you to the sur region to train an army to fight. Now even if you go to Colstream and fight and come back and turn down the job we wont mind. The main gain for us is the acceptance of volunteer armies by parliament, if yours does not join us then we can always get another. Thank you, General, but now you got a plan to catch."

21:00-Hervia:

The 10th Brigade of the 21st Hervian Regiment left its barracks in Kavran, a small town 12 miles east of the Hervian Capital, Hervian City. It's complement of 10,000 men left the city to march for the east coast of Hervia to help repel the expected Colstream Invasion. 2 minutes in the journey, 2 A-10 Thunderbolts appeared over the Horizon. They suddenly made a course following the road that the 10th Brigade was on. It suddenly became apparent that they had been spotted. Before the Hervian soldiers knew it a burst of 30mm Cannon fire raked down the middle of the road. 8 men were cut in half immediately. Suddenly 4 500lb bombs smashed into the column of troops and the escorting trucks. 3 trucks flipped over and exploded with their load of 20 soldiers inside. The screams of the dying pierced the night. The A-10s came for a second run and another burst of 30mm fire from both planes cut more men down. Another truck carrying ammunition exploded killing more men and blocked the road. Suddenly as soon as the Aircraft had arrived, they had disappeared. In that one attack, they had lost 94 men. That was even before they had seen 1 Colstream Soldier. The rest continued on with their remaining 4 trucks carrying their remaining ammunition and their food. They had to hope no more air attacks came their way or more would die before they even fired a shot.....

21:30-Hervia City

Triesk Jackivisa had just finished his last Revolutionary Council meeting of the day. He had heard the news that his forces was powerless against the Colstream Onslaught. He had heard that his dearest friend and fellow member of the Reloutionary Council, Kiret Olinka had been killed in an air attack on his home. He had also heard that Hervian military units had been attacked while getting to their war positions. He knew that the Colstream War Machine once started, could not be stopped by him alone. His Genocidal Polices against the Kightran minority in Hervia had made him a hated figure in the eyes of the Colstream people. The broadcast on Hervian Television was just to raise the morale of the Hervian Military Forces which at the moment, was very low because of the air strikes. His palace had escaped several times this evening and was adament that he would not go into the bomb shelter with the rest of the Hervian leadership because of his national pride. He had reports in his hand about the loss of power to Hermia and the disabled radar sites on the east coast which could now offer no prior warning to the Colstream Taskforce coming towards Hervia. He hoped that the 3 million soldiers he had at his disposal could counter the soldiers in the Colstream Taskforce. He just hoped no more nations would come to Colstream's aid......

The Volunteer Corps, knowing that they would need help in transporting their troops, sent the following message to the Republic of Colstream.

The Volunteer Corps has assembled roughly a division for use in Hervia. However we only have the capacity to transport a third of the assembled troops to the battle-field. Therefore, we ask if the Colstream Navy could spare some ships for us. My men are eager to fight and are awaiting your response.

To the Tyrannical Despot James Parker,

His Majesty, King William V Salisbury, is greatly distraught by your arbitrary and frightening decisions in your recent policy towards the state of Hervia. You have issued a formal declaration of war, but have cited no casus belli except “on the account of genocide.” Neither His Majesty nor I believe that the Hervians have done any harm towards your citizens, let alone any that can be called “genocide.” Therefore this war declaration only reinforces the notion that your violent actions carry no legal backing.

His Majesty has told me to send you this warning: that if your criminal actions do not cease, His Majesty will take action proper in restraining violent men such as you. You must regain your sanity and realise that these destructive actions of yours can only bring devastation and ruin to your people and those of other states.

The Colstream Navy has sent 4 Transport Ships from the Colstream Mainland to pick up your Volunteer Force. The Colstream Taskforce is to attack at 06:00 tomorrow morning.(Same time zone as in the Republic Of Colstream.)
A preliminary naval bombardment will proceed a landing of 50,000 men along the East Coast of Hervia. An airbase is 3 miles inland which has to be taken on the first day. That will then be used to bring in my Heavy Transports to land more troops. I wish to have a force of 100,000 soldiers plus 200 tanks, 180 APCs and all the Artillery Pieces and Self Propelled Guns by midnight on the 9th.

To Colstream:

Noted. Be assured that our forces will fight fiercely, for they are young men and wish to prove themselves in battle.

The Volunteer Corps soldiers gathered in the harbor, while the merchant vessels began shipping out soldiers. The Corps Command had told the Coastal Defence Forces of the Colstream vessels coming to get the volunteers, so that the ships would not be fired upon.

By this time, the airshipyard in Ge'fegos had produced quite a few airships for both the Colstream airforce and the colony aero-defence force, stationed as floating defences around the city. But now, they had begun to move towards Hervia to carry out the ending of this genocide.

As well as the AAS Colstream and the AAS Ashland as the two Aerocruisers, there was a sight from the mainland that was rarely seen in these days: from a mountainside hanger in the mounatins of Solace had been released a god of the sky. A leveller of cities. An aero-battlecraft. This was the swansong of the AAS Holocaust, before it was finally decommisoned. The last of the 4 President-class airships.

It roared over the seas towards Heveria, a massive underside container on the belly of the 840m airship containing 3100 tonnes of bombs and 1300 tonnes of missiles. With no weapons for dealing with enemy aircraft, it was helpless if it was attacked by fighters. But with an escort of two aerodestroyers...

The state of Hervia if you have read the history part in the first post has persecuted the Kightran minority since the Kightran arrived in Hervia in 1901.
There has been reports of Kightran people getting pulled from their houses and shot in front of their children. The Kightran minority in Hervia have lost their rights as citizens and they are being used as slave workers. If you realise, none of the targets hit by the Colstream Air Force have been civilian targets as we have used JDAM Bombs and Precision Guided Missiles instead of carpet bombing. Hervia have no support in the region due to these genocidal policies. Please look at the facts. We are only trying to protect the Kightran minority in Hervia from persecution.

The History of Hervia is in the first post. It is the Hervian Government persecuting the Kightran minority in Hervia and using genocidal polices instigated by the dictator Triesk Jackivisa. The Capital of Hervia, Hervia City is 4 by 2 square miles long. Please Do not carpet bomb pick your targets carefully when passing over civilian areas. The Colstream Government wants no Civilian Casualties.
We will give air cover when you reach the Hervian Coast.

The Hervian Government had recieved the Alfegos Governments threat and sent this reply.

The Colstream Transports reached Zaheran. They were now ready for the volunteer force to board and set sail for Hervia.

The Principality of Northern Rangeria has followed the situation of Hervia closely, and we believe that the current turn of events demands that we take actions to preserve the freedom and rights of the Kightran minority in Hervia.

Due to this situation, the Northern Rangerian Defence Corps (NRDC) have dispatched the First Turka Jaeger Regiment to help in pacifying the situation in Hervia. The Regiment is a well-trained and disciplined military unit, specializing in behind-the-line operations and urban warfare. The Regiment has an honourable history in Northern Rangeria, having been instrumental in the Second Battle of Turka, which marked the end of Greater Rangerian occupation efforts in Northern Rangeria.

Organisation:
2,000 Jaegers, of whom
- 1,000 are Pure Jaegers, the basic soldier, so to say.
- 200 are anti-tank personnel.
- 200 are Black Pikes, the NRDC equivalent of a Navy Seal.

The Regiment will carry its own weight in terms of transportation and support vehicles.

The Regiment officers will answer to NRDC and its code of conduct, but will fight under Colstream command for the period three months. After that, we expect a formal military alliance.

The soldiers marched onboard the transport ships. Airplanes roared through the heaven above. With the soldiers waving to loved ones in the crowd at the shore, the improvised armada headed for Colstream.

To the Arbitrary Tyrant James Parker,

You will not be any more sensitive upon your invasion of Hervia just because you have taken a keen interest in the state’s history. Your bombs are also no less threatening to the Hervian’s livelihoods just because they are not actually striking the people themselves. Your claim of that you fight “to protect the Kightran minority in Hervia from persecution” also does not stand as reasonable, for if you truly wanted to weaken Hervia, you would let them continue their own self-destructive policies.

Do not think His Majesty is not disturbed by the Hervian’s acts. He is quite suspicious of them indeed, although he is sure that the government of Hervia has a good reason for taking the path that they have taken. Your path, however, is one of violent intervention that has not been requested by the Hervian government. It is murderous, malicious, and criminal.

Now please discontinue your war of aggression and come to your senses.

These forces will be useful. These terms will be fullfilled. A military alliance will be discussed and a trade agreement could also be discussed.

The Colstream Taskforce was now about 3 hours from Hervia. The soldiers were being prepared for combat collecting their AK47 or AK74 Assualt Rifles and their supply of ammunition. Some had PK or PKM Machine Guns and even some was carrying RPG-7 Launchers and 51mm/81mm Mortars. Some were also collecting their SVD or L96A1 Sniper Rifles to deal with spotters as the assault crafts would come towards the landing zones.

The AAS Holocaust was the first to reach the coastline, flanked by its two aero-destroyers each a quarter the length of the main ship. Its first target was the government district of the capital.

16 men sat aboard the control deck of the fore gondola. 2 of them were frantically confirming the flood of target data coming in, so heavy that it was also being diverted thorugh the systems of the two destroyers. It had already began to plan for the primary attack on ground targets with the underside munitions container armed for their attack.

Within 5 minutes, they attack began: the sides of the bay burst out at the front of the container as 26 Crossbow AT missiles and 34 Longbow cluster rockets launched and locked onto military targets in the capital, followed in the distance by multiple explosions. Within 16 minutes, it would be over the governmental district: that would be when it would unleash hell.

Triesk Jackivisa heard the air raid sirens going off in the Government district. He was herded from his bed in his Presidential Palace and into the similar comfy surroundings of his Presidential Bunker 300 Feet below ground. For the first time since the coup, he was frightened......

The United Estovakian Congress was not informed, as the consitution allowed for a declaration of action to be made if envolvement was over 24 hours. This gave The ZOCOM(Zone Operation COMmand) to move into Hervia without worry for 24 hours, the alloted time for this. The Assault A-90M and Lun anti ship ekranoplan were under the radar by the time fighting started. The Nine ship formation flowed in at the harbor at over 400 knots, blasing pass the costal radar, as the four Lun Ships started firing missils at the costal defences. The A-90M's Started for a shallow in the harbor, black as night, they slipped in a river.

"We have the governmental district targeted! Go for a level 4 heavy saturation pattern using a maximum of 30% munitions!"

The airship muntions gondola opened at the rear, and the bombs began to fall: mostly 250kg bombs mixed in with a few 500kg incendiary cluster bombs. Below, the explosions started, buildings ripped apart by shockwaves and areas set alight by phosphourous bomblets.
After 30 minutes, the bombardment ceased: a total of 810 tonnes of munitions had dropped from the airship onto the governmental district blazing below. The gondola doors closed, hiding the grotesquely-shaped claws of the bomb drop control claws.

"This is the AAS Holocaust to the government: do you wish for the rest of your city to be treated in the same way as this? Trust us in saying we can easily level your capital. Or would you prefer a bunker-busting missile on the bunker underneath the ruins of your living quarters? Will the lubricate negotiations?"

The munitions gondola imperceivably looked much more deadly.

I am just reacting before the conflict spills over into any other country. Namely mine. Look i bet you would do it if it threatened your country. I haven't put 1 bomb into Hervia City. My targets are the military installations on the east coast to disable the radar sites. The war may not last a week. I have no idea how it will play out yet. As all we know, Hervia may decide to stop this genocide and the nwe can negotiate with them. This conflict needs a neutral power to ensure that no acts against the Geneva Convention or civilians occurs. What do you think?

To Alfegos

Can you please cease fire on the capital and divert your airships to the east coast to help soften up the beach defences? I need time to refuel the aircraft.

The Volunteer Corps were closing in on the Hervian coast. The ships stopped outside national waters, waiting for the order to attack. The soldiers readied their weapons, mainly AK-74:s, with a few RPG:s or machine guns attached to each unit.

The Five A-90M's roared up rivver, and onto a flat plain, closing in on the capitol, when the ground seemed to upheave, damaging three out of the five A-90's, as the shockwave of the Alfegos air attack stoped the progress of the Estovakian attack.

22 hours left.

The AAS Holocaust stayed over the city, keeping the inhabitants in fear with its possy of two smaller ships.
However, the AAS Colstream and AAS Ashland had used the favourable wind to end up near the estaern beaches. Attacking from inland with their payloads of missiles, they began to blast coastal defences, starting at a central point and working outwards, massive explosions rocking the area as bunker-busters blasted out holes in the concrete and the Crossbow IV missiles homed in on coastal batteries and removed them from the face of the planet.

Amongst this heavy rain came the occasional cluster-missile, showering areas where defence troops were hiding with thousands of grenade-sized bomblets that shredded cover.

To Zaheran

We would like a party of 45 Volunteers to land on the east coast to disrupt the artillery positions facing the invasion beaches. This will be a dangerous mission and the party of men will suffer casualties.

The two remaning A-90M's were stoped at some hills, as there Ekranoplans could not scall the hills. The front of the A-90's opens as Special ops groups road out. Furthor back, the Damaged A-90's called in a pick up, as they could not take off with such hull damage.

The Alfegos bombardment could be seen on the ships of the Colstream Taskforce. There was now only 7 hours left until the invasion begun.

Hervia City's air sirens still wailed as the remaining airships flew dangerously overhead. Several fires burned as Hervian Fire Department personnel tried to put out the buring buildings coated in phosphorus.

The eastern coastal defence's radios suddenly stopped transmitting. A silence desended along the east coast as the Alfegos bombardment smashed the defences to pieces weakening the Hervian Eastern Flank.

The AAS Colstream fired a single missile into the sky: it exploded at 2400m height, lighting up the coastline with eerie red light: a signal for the attack in the area to begin.
Below them, clouds of smoke drifted up from the ruined areas, rising past the large Colstream flag painted on the AAS Colstream's tail, next to the Alfegosian flag.

So far, they had cleared 18km of coastline up to 200m inland, with up to 5km for sweeps on large gun positions. And all on only 40% of their total missile loadout.

The AAS Holocaust turned slowly as it began to move towards the industrialised areas of the town. The munitions bay doors opened again.

"You did not heed our warnings when we destroyed your governmental buildings. Your industry is next. If you do not respond again, we will commence the flattening of it. So, what say you?"

3 F-117A Stealth Bombers flew over a Hervian Radar Site on the east coast. In their bomb bays were 1 RA4 Radar Jamming bomb. They flew over the radar site and dropped their bomb. The bomb exploded 8 second later causing a small EMP Pulse that short circuited the radar equipment rendering it useless until it was repaired.

A Hervian Patrol heard the A-90M ramp drop. They ran to the hill edge and saw the special ops group. Armed with several heavy weapons, the 4 soldiers opened up with AK74s and PKMs onto the soldiers below.

3 Hervian MIG Fighters that had escaped the aerial bombardment suddenly saw the AAS Holocaust and swung in to attack. They headed straight for the airship and the pilots began to lock on with their sidewinder missiles.....

"Incoming!"

As the fighters approached the almost defenceless AAS Holocaust, its two escorts came to bear. As their autocannons opened up on the approaching planes, their missile bays began to belch out missiles towards the inbound fighters.

"Eat these!"

The Patrol was seen by the A-90's crew who warned the teams leaving. They were not fast enoght, as several were it as the Spec Ops retreated to the hold. The second A-90 opened up with it's 30mm cannons on it's side on roof, providing covering fire for the team under attack.

The Missiles from AAS Holocaust hit 1 MIG sending it down in flames. The others managed to fire their sidewingers before they both were heavily damaged. The second MIG went into a field, but an unlucky event suddenly happened as the third MIG went flying towards AAS Holocaust's gondola.....

The patrol retreated firing a flare to alert their comrades to the Spec Ops presence. The call was answered by a 80mm howizer shell which landed on the hillside.

The Resounding crash obliderated the hill, as the wounded and dead were loaded up, the oprotunite arose, as the other A-90 wound up it's jets for a hard take off, as to slolly cralled on the soft dirt, as the front jest roared to life. In the feild not too far, the broken A-90's saw the MiG crash near by, as the pilot ejected near the large ships.

The Pilot dropped into the ocean. He was rescued by a Colstream Air Force Puma Helicopter. The 80mm shells kept coming in, one which hit a nearby house blowing it to pieces. The counter barrage came from a volley of 16 inch shells from a Colstream Navy Battleship that had spotted the artillery barrage and fired back in support of the A-90s trying to escape.

"Sir, I think we need the big shot." as the Copilot pointed at the VLS console. The pilot called all the A-90's to use there VLS on the artillery, even though they did not have that manny. The A-90 started for thr direction of the capitol beyond the non existant hill.

A Colstream Air Force AH-64D Apache appeared over the Horizon. It hovered before firing Hellifire missiles towards the artillery and firing its 30mm Cnoon to support the Spec Ops attack. Then suddenly a A-10 Thunderbolt flew over and dropped 2 500lb Cluster Bombs onto the artillery which suddenly stopped one Artillery Gun as the Hellifires, 30mm Cannon Shells and the 2 500lb Cluster Bombs landed almost one after the other.

The Volunteer army was made mostly of soldiers who wanted to see some action. A few veterans of the Facist wars and the First Mejico war had also signed up. Overall 90% of the volunteers were either active duty soldiers or reserves. the other 10% was Mokan citizens who wanted to see the world and help those in need. the now-General James Maxwell stood over his brigade and admired how quickly the volunteer corps had formed. Of his now 6,000 men, only 643 needed military training, partly because of the recently required conscription of Mokastana and partly because the army is so deeply rooted into Mokan Culture.

Using a recently purchased Military station from Montana Inc. he had the base to set up his unit. 1,000 men were being used to clean up and set up the place as well as begin training for the volunteer corp. The other 5,000 were cleaning up the outer perimeters and building everything from training centers to barracks. Soon he sent a message to Colstream.

We have heard of your situation and I have massed a volunteer army of 6,000 men. Some still require training as well as arms and vehicles. Currently I can deploy about 500 soldiers that are battle ready for assistance in your liberation of the nation of Hervia. The Mokastana navy has agreed to run logistics and transport them. Where do you want them?

Still in international waters, the battleships Hauki, Rausku and Ahtee were waiting for their orders from the Colstream Military Command. As per the agreement between their two nations, the Northern Rangerian Navy was ready to transport the First Turka Jaeger Regiment to Hervian soil. Everything was ready: the APCs waited in the landing craft for deployment, every M4 was meticulously cleaned and checked, every knife and bayonnet prepared. Aboard the Ahtee, the Black Pikes were probably the least rowdy, knowing what they faced. These were the elite of the NRDC, hardened veterans of war, knowing that whatever the command may be, the task ahead of them was grim.

Still, the tedium of waiting was probably worst. The Jaegers were still waiting for the order to be deployed, and they could only watch and listen to the distant boom of bombing in the horizon.

The crew evacuated the gondola of the aero-battlecraft as the fighter came hurtling towards it it high speed. For now it seemed like the destruction of it was inevitable. Until something came to its rescue.

One of the escort aerodestroyers shot upwards rapidly after dumping its ballast, right into the path of the plane. There was a scream as the figher ripped through the external structure, before a muffled explosion from inside. A massive explosion though, enough to rip the airship in half. The two halves began to plummet downwards, the hydrogen core of the airship ignited as it fell. When it it the ground below, there was a massive explosion as 70 000 m^3 of hydrogen exploded, the shockwave travelling over the area and even buffeting the two airships still flying.

Fires raged below in the wreckage, in which to crew of 8 people had not survived.

09:00-Hervia City

Triesk Jackivisa recieved reports that Colstream Forces had landed on the eastern coast of Hervia and was cautiously advancing towards the nearby airfield. He ordered the 10th Brigade of the 21st Regiment who had suffered havly casualties, to attack the beachead.

The 10th Brigade has survived another 4 air attacks after the first one that had occured just after leaving their barracks and had been reduced from 100,000 to 70,500 men. They attacked as soon as they arrived but were met head on by 30 new MS2 Panther MBTs. Armed with 125mm Guns and protected by Chobham/Steel armour, they wrecked 50 T-62s supporting the 10th Brigades attack and smashed a sector of the Eastern Army Groups front and killing 1432 soldiers and destroying their remaining food and ammunition trucks. The remaining soldiers retreated back through the nearby village supported by 37 T-54s and 34 Type 62s. A counterattack by Hervian Infantry killed 34 Colstream Soldiers and injured 78. The attack was beaten off killing 49 Hervian Soldiers and capturing 37. The unit was withdrawn aand another brought forward as 4 MK5 Viper Fighter Bombers dropped JDAM 500lb bombs onto the retreating units killing another 29 Hervian Soldiers and destroyed a T-54 by blowing the turret off.

We would like a party of 45 Volunteers to land on the east coast to disrupt the artillery positions facing the invasion beaches. This will be a dangerous mission and the party of men will suffer casualties.

Understood. Expect their arrival in twho hours.

Finding volunteers for a dangerous mission was not that hard. Most of the soldiers were young men who wanted to prove themselves in battle and didn't fear death. 45 soldiers had soon been assembled and rushed against the coast with high speed.

The command had been issued, and the men of the Fifth Company boarded their landing crafts, swift short-range vessels that would carry the Company and its transports and supplies to Hervian soil. On the landing craft, last-minute check-ups were made, everyone making sure they had their stock of ammunition. The anti-tank men were preparing their bazookas and missile launchers, and the radists were sending requests for tactical information to the Colstream unit they were bound to for this mission.

The first 500 were loaded up unto transports to head to Colstream and soon enough they were on there way. Behind them transports were loaded with battle trasport trucks as well as 30 Ironheart APCs "Donated" to the volunteer corps. Mi-24 Hinds flew onto the decks to be used as the main helicopter by the Mokan Army for this mission.

Unfortunately not much of their equipment was new, RPG-7s, AK-74s, AKMs, to make up for it they had also gotten donations of AM-07s, RPG-29s as well as a few M3 Weapon Systems. They did not know what ay on the beaches ahead, but they doubted it would be pretty...

14:30-Jackvian Air Base

The Colstream Army 's advance had taken the air base. This meant that the Colstream Army could land reinforcements from the air as well as from the beaches. Several C130J Hercules Transports landed 70,000lbs of Ammunition and food plus several C-17 Globemaster II Transports landed 800 fresh troops. Also 12 AC-12 Air to Air Refueling Tanker Aircraft had landed to help with fueling.

A thrust by 20 T-90s and 14 T-64s supported by 38,000 men and 80 Aircraft smashed 3 depleted Hervian Divisions and drove them back 8 miles on a 10 mile sector of the southern front creating a large bulge in the lines. A airborne assualt by 102 Paratroops dropped by a C-17 Globemaster II before the assualt caused confusion as the supporting units were attacked before they could relieve the units being attacked at the front.

You are landing the Fifth Company with 43 MS1 and 28 MS2 Panther MBTs in Army Group Valiant.

The AAS Holocaust had had a lucky escape: best to actually do some more damage before it got attacked again.

"Level 2 Light saturation over the enemy industrialised area: they have not heeded us and will now pay the price."

Bombs began falling down onto the area already hit by the shockwave of a hydrogen explosion, along with the occasional missile at any vehilce that strayed to close for comfort. After 20 minutes, 320 tonnes of bombs had been dropped over the industrialised area. Now the airship was floating towards the suburbs. Residential housing.

"This is AAS to Hervian government: meet our terms discussed eariler, and you won't have to see civilian housing being levelled. We are currently preparing to bomb residential areas, and wish to inform you that your civilian death rate will be in the tens of thousands, going into hundreds of thousands. Do you stand down?"

Triesk Jackivisa couldn't contain his delight at the Alfegos message. It was a great Propaganda Coup for him to use. In a public televised speech on Hervian Television, he told the Hervian People that "the invading forces wishes to destroy us. We should fight to protect this from happening. You must do your duty to the Hervian State to ensure your survival".

Colstream Capital, Ashland
The Colstream President, James Parker was furious. He called that the Alfegos Military make the AAS Holocaust withdraw to avoid un-necessary civilian casualties.

Bad news. The Colstream President has asked the AAS Holocaust withdraw "to avoid un-necessary civilian casualties". We would like its help to help subdue a fort that is giving the Colstream Forces trouble. I know the AAS Holocaust's crew will like this sort of mission. Sorry for any trouble, but this is the order i got direct from the Colstream President himself and the Colstream Minister of Defence, Harry Saxon.

The AAS Holocaust crew accepted this mission, after a repremand from the Sky Marshall himself, and began to advance on a fort they had been asked to bomb.

20 minutes later, the airship was approaching the fort. 30 minutes later, the fort had just received 120 tonnes of munitions in the form of bombs. The crew hoped the Colstreamers were pleased with the smoking ruin below.

23:00 Ashland:

The air raid sirens suddenly wailed loudly as a small formation of 4 Hervian Air Force Tu-160 Blackjack Strategic Bombers flew towards the Colstream Capital.
The Bombers had managed to fly low avoiding the Fighter Patrols but had been spotted by several MK1 Vulture Fighters. They managed to radio the Ashland Command Centre and trigger the air raid alarms. The bombers flew straight over Ashland and dropped their stack of bombs randomly over the city. All of the bombs landed on civilian housing killing around 400 helpless civilians. The Bombers were suddenly engaged as they headed for home. All 4 was sent down in Flames.

The men of the 5th Company were anxiously landing on Hervian territory, the sergeants barking commands as the men loaded into the APCs, machine guns placed on the top hatches and manned. The sturdy, six-wheeled engines of war were running already, the drivers taking their seats, men peeking through the rifle holes on the sides.

"Move out!" hollered captain Lehto, signaling the command with the standard two hand-thrusts down as he boarded the command APC. They had their orders, to follow the Army Group Valiant...

The Two A-90M Assault Orlyonok
The Two, realling from tha artillery and the attack, still rolled over the soft ground as they skimmed barly touching the ground. THey closed in on the capitol, and stoped. They unloaded ther special ops troups near the city, as they started there RMP low visible APCs and started for the confusion that was the Hervian capital.

The Colstream Government after hearing the bombing of Ashland's residential areas declared the Waters around Hervia as an unrestricted warfare area. Also, a formation of 160 B52Hs was sent from the Colstream Mainland. Armed with 60 1000lb bombs each, they made a course for Hervia City. Their target was the main airfield that housed all the bombers and most of the fighters plus the Military Base next to it.

Meanwhile a thrust made by Army Group Valiant on the southern coast had blown a hole 7 miles wide and 17 miles deep and was charging for the westerm coast to secure the invasions southern flank. It was currently waiting to recieve the United Estovakian 5th Company to help support the attack.
On the North Coast of Hervia, a raid by 2 F-117A Stealth Jets had destroyed a command centre killing the Hervian Commanders in charge of Army Group North.

To: United Estovakia

What is the purpose of they Spec Ops raid. There is around 1 million Hervian Soldiers in Hervia City which will pose a problem when trying to get in. Also i must warn you that there is now a formation of 160 B52Hs heading for the main airfield. We wish to have no friendlies within 2 miles of that base when its hit. Please state your objectives and time limit.

ooc- the purpose id to take out the leadership and command/control of hervia by placing transmitters around them for a surgical strike with homing weaopns, and this will be around the city, within around 16 hours left.

To United Estovakia:

There are several problems.

1- Triesk Jackivisa and his leadership are in bunkers surrounded by 1 million soldiers and several Tank Regiments. Hervia City is also impenetratable because of the high alert being adpoted by the Hervian Army.
2. The Spec-Ops soldiers have been compromised and the Hervian Military have guessed where they are heading.
3. Hervia City is under martial law and if they are caught they will be shot on the spot as spies.
4. They will be captured if they move towards Hervia City and Hervian Soldiers are currently searching for them with shoot to kill orders and they are also ordered to take no prisoners.
5. The Hervian Leadership must be taken alive so to be trialed for War Crimes and Genocide after the war ends.(Colstream President's Orders)

Recommendation: Withdraw. A new task has come through. A general headquarters houses a set of radio codes for the Hervian Military. This headquarters is based on a hill about 2 miles from where you landed. If you can get the radio codes and steal a radio to bring back to the beachead, we will be able to intercept their heavily encripted transmissions.

The Teams were about to enter the -not as Chaotic- Capitol as a message update poped up on there RMP's computers.

-Mission Update-
New intell states that the amount of security in Hervia City will make the mission unable to compleate. Yet some Intell sugest a Hervian HQ not too far hase a set of radio frequencies that will let us compleate the mission without further risk.

As the message came in, the ops teams turned around to the new point on there mission maps.

The 160 B52Hs appeared over the Base. They dropped their payload of 60 1000lb bombs each and headed for home. The resulting explosions destroyed 4 square miles of the city causing a giant firestorm. The government sector was accidentally hit destroying the Hervian Parliament, Ministry Of Defence and the Foreign Office.

Triesk Jackivisa is dead. A raid by 160 B52Hs on the Main Airfield and Military Base has killed the Hervian Leader while he was visiting the base. He had appeared out of his bunker for a brief visit when the sirens sounded. He was not rushed back to his bunker thinking the bombers were heading to the Industrial area when he was caught in several huge explosions. The Hervian Government is now being led by General Kieta Brienha. Also civilian casualties has occured as several bombs landed in offices next to the Hervian Parliament. They are estimated at 200.

To United Estovakia:

The capital mission is now definately fully cancelled. The mission you have been given is your final one before returning to the beachead. Colstream Forces are now only 15 miles from Hervia City. Those codes are to be sent only to the Invasion HQ at the Air Base.

The 5th Company had done their duty as part of the Army Group Valiant. Though successful, the push had not come without casualties: Sergeant Oli Lemus, a platoon leader, had been killed by a landmine while scouting for the Army Group. The first casualty is always the hardest, and sergeant Lemus was posthumously promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer, before his flag-draped coffin was shipped home to Northern Rangeria for proper burial.

Meanwhile, the rest of the First Turka Jaeger Regiment was still confined in the three battle ships on international waters, still waiting for deployment. The news of sergeant Lemus's death had caused some grumbles after the initial respects: most of the Regiment still hadn't seen any action, while the Fifth had already suffered casualties...

To Northern Rangeria:

The rest of the 1st Turka Jaeger Regiment has orders:

1. Attach to Army Group Valiant on the South Coast.
2. Assist push to West Hervian Coast.
3. Wait for further orders.

General Maxwell landed on the beach with 1,000 men total on the ground. With them they were now beginning to look like a fully functional army. 60 T90s, and 100 Ironheart APCs made up the mechanized portion of the volunteer corps. Armed with AK-74s and a few AM-07s the Mokan troops sat and let General Maxwell make the call:

The Two teams left the RMP and started for some foliage. Wonce there, the Able team sniper took aim. His silenced rifle waited for the right time.

After an hour the 1,000 strong group was now on the road towards the battle. In the Command APC General Maxwell kept tract of the communications going on and uploaded the war zone (map) and troop placements and tried to get up to date on the war.

Low thumps fulled the air, as the fromt gaurds were shot with silenced weapons. the two pec ops teams moved to the door, as 'Specter' orderd 'Aztec' to place a low power explosive on the door. The door buster was placed and the teams moved back to the bushes. Kaboom.

10:00 Hervia City.

BOOM!!!! The Lead MS2 Panther MBTs 125mm gun blasted a nearby house containing a machine gun nest. The 38th Group had breached the eastern outskirts of the Hervian Capital and was advancing slowly through the suburbs. Hervian resistance had collapsed completely and in the last hour, 200,000 Hervian Soldiers had surrendered. The Colstream Army was now 24 hours away from securing Hervia City.

The door buster was masked by the explosions all over. The Teams moved on the building. sticking to the shadows, they made there way up. The ThemStat
helped them avoid more incounters. They made it to what looked like a communications room, as they moved on it.

21:00 Hervia City:

The lead MS2 Panther MBT grinded towards the Hervian Parliament Building. Its 125mm Gun opened fire wrecking a nearby bunker. The following soldiers immediately opened fire into the remains of it to make sure. Several Divisions had been taken out of the central front to be sent back for refitting. A MK5 Viper Fighter Bomber flew over and drop and 2 1000lb bombs onto a nearby position smashing it to pieces. The tank column kept moving forward.......

The airships had taken to lurking in the area just behind the northern front, firing the occasioanl missile at anything that moved suspiciously.
They were mainly here for the purpose of securing land for the colonists and troops about to arrive to take a large area of land, from the corner where the city of Matria resided, as far south as 5km below Litrak and extending outwards about halfway across the island.

The settlers coming were a mix of a batallion frontline engineers, two batallions of mechanised infantry, and 5600 citizens who had signed up for the frontline colonist programme. Along with the Erika-class airship and four Clipper-class airships floating in with the military vehicles and buildings, ships coming in from mainland Alfegos were carrying the Alfegan civilians and their buildings, a couple of hours behind.

The first airships landed in Litrak, releasing the equipment and men into the area. They at once began to set up the batallion headquarters, using the new HT Combat mat in combination with a large supply of concrete and a combat bulldozer to erect a thick 4-layer wall around the pre-fabricated domes of typical Alfegan type that had begun to pop up.

Another batallion had been stationed at Mitrak, and of now were clearing an area for an Alfegan city on the edge of the oil field, surrounded by a high earthern defensive mound.

Once these had been set up, AVREs with massive rolls of razor-tape fencing began to construct the border: no mean feat, yet one easily accomplished on the organised scale that the Alfegan could put it to, 2km being put up by an engineering company in only 24 hours, along with roadblocks and strategic defence towers, all the time aware of the battle only a few kilometres away.

"General Maxwell, this is Director Fransisco, continue mission as ordered. Be aware that fellow FU forces are forming a colony here. Your orders are to make contact with them and keep up to date. Given that Alfegos has been a long time ally it shouldn't be hard to rally the men to fight with them in the event something goes awry. Continue with the job and good luck."

That was all the message said, Maxwell knew what they were doing. They were slowly getting him used to taking orders from MBSA by starting small and working up. Of course he would make contact with Alfegos, they would be a bail out in case the shit hit the fan, but as of now he just knew it was time to stop a genocide.

Hervia City was surrounded. The parliament building had fallen to Colstream Forces rapidly advancing so to prevent a last stand by the remaining troops. A War Crimes Trial was scheduled to take place in 5 days. The government was to be captured by United Estovakian Spec-Ops soldiers and handed over to the Colstream Forces.

The construction of the border fence at the base of the Alfegan colony area ceased, and was diverted to the construction of the new Alfegan city of Tho'lara, a couple of miles east of the oil field, where the buildings and colonists had begun to arrive.

Part of the ambitious plan was the construction of a massive airshipyard, as common in most Alfegan colonies, to establish a large source of employment and to allow the area to build up potential as a trading outpost and as a rather rich colony.

Effective at once to all Hervian citizens

- All citizens must report to their local town headquarters to be registered as citizens of the colony.
- All citizens must read the copy of the Alfegan Code of Law sent to them in both electronic and hard form.
- All citizens must abide by he laws of Alfegos.
- All citizens not wishing to stay within the colony may move from the colony without any restriction.
- All citizens must not show violence towards Alfegan colonists: they are here to protect you from less caring nations and to help you live at the same high standard as all Alfegan citizens do.

The razor-mesh fence and thick border wall extended all the way down the west side of the former nation of Hervia, from the north to the south, curving around the city of Hermia in the south. A lot of changes had happened in the last 72 hours.

For a start, the census of citizens had begun, alongside the mineral surveys that had revealed a large deposit of iron ore and coal, perfect for the airshipyard complex that covered a square mile with hundreds of dome structures and with towering cranes. Sparks already few around the factories as machinery hauled in enmasse was set up, ready for operation in another 72 hours.

OOC: The Montana Inc. is willing to let the nation suffer a few losses for a chance to expand to another nation. Also my civil war was mostly in the deserts of Mexico and not much industry was hit. Most of that is either on Mokan Island(cuba) or El Sur(Vesula, Colombia Peru)

The first Colstream Factories started to take shape. Within a week they will be running at low capacity and in 2 weeks, they would run at full or near capacity.

Also in the Air Base in the East, there was work to expand it from a mile square long to 3 miles square. Also a deep water port was being dug from the shore a mile to the east straight up to the base.

The First trucks rolled off the Montana Inc freighters and began traveling to the oil fields around the island, some supplies were kept as Montana employees began working with local contractors to building up the docks and roads and Rail system.

You can have 200000 soldiers but only 300 TANKS?! That's never really going to happen. An armoured division of 10000 has more than 300 tanks.

The base was completed and the port started to be built around the base. A large dock area for cargo was being erected while a base for some Colstream Vessels was also being built. There was news of a rise in stocks so it would be prosporus for the new Colstream Colony.

As the hostilities have now ceased, we see no reason to maintain our military presence in Hervia. The First Turka Jaeger Regiment will begin its withdrawal from the region as soon as possible.

We also request that the following information shall be made available to Hervia: during the withdrawal process, The Principality of Northern Rangeria is willing to offer immigrant status to a quota of 20,000 Hervians. Kightran minority and those displaced by the occupation will receive priority, while high-ranking officials of the deposed government and persons suspected of war crimes will be automatically denied this status.

The Mokastana Volunteer army would stay under the command of Fergosian Forces while Montana Inc will construct oil derrecks, warehouses and factories.
