Cultural Embassy Exchange

We are organized as a confederation/alliance of semi-autonomous nations. Only two nations have been recorded by the NSUN as part of our supra-nation but that is only because the statistical collection methods used have been successfully thwarted. Our confederal system is known as the Community of Knightly Judges which is more of a federal institution than a country per se but this is how we approach others, since we have the bailiwick of foreign affairs. The other nation known to the NSUN is more of an embassy than an actual nation but this semi-autonomous region is known as The Community of UN Debaters, they are UN members.

Now we are willing to exchange cultural attaches for mutual educational and artistic benefits. If you could fill out this application form so that we can get to know each other better.

Nation-->

UN member--> (yes or no), if yes then you can also send a diplomatic embassy to The Community of UN Debaters as well as opening up an embassy here.

Primary cultural expertise--> (for us we have interactive narratives shown in film and computer games, we also focus upon philosophy and lastly on music and sound production) if your only cultural export is your religion then we respectfully decline any exchange on that level, we may have other exchanges in the future but we have our own religion and we do not seek to export our own nor do we need to import others.

Special buildings that you need access to--> (this can include art galleries, cinema projection areas, traditional stages for dance, coffee houses for discussions, photographic studios, holographic projector rooms, whatever your nation is expert in) We hope to use this thread to expose and to share each other's cultural products.

Any special security requested--> (unneeded because we have our own diplomatic security services but if you insist upon a reasonable extra security then we can be accomadating) This can be extra bodyguards if you decide to send us some sportsman star (assuming your cultural expertise is some sport) and you wish to protect your star from overzealous fans while visiting us.

Looking forward in seeing all of you here.

Well we'd like to do an exchange but our primary cultural product is found here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=543917)

I know it looks like a religion but if you read the whole thing it can be packaged as a philosophy or even as a sport. We call it a religion because the entire society is wholly into it (pun intended). But an exchange can be more discussions and sports competition. Sounds acceptable? Our special building is some kind of stadium/obstacle center with outside areas, similar to what can be found in Olympic events except everything is geared towards battle and martial arts. Sports can include paintballing/lasertag stuff as well as the standard martial arts include variants like underwater combat or horse and rider duels like racing while fighting or even jousting, anything with a battle theme. Also we do abstract games like chess and go, and we also do military board wargames that make Risk and Axis and Allies look like kindergarten imitations.

If you limit your interactions to philosophical exchanges and to sports and games then we can find this acceptable. We will not implement the "weirder" aspects of your desire for war or battle but if you can maintain something like a sport then we have no problem. I assume that you'll want some library facilities then for your philosophies and coffee shops or tea places to have quiet discussions and/or play your chess games. (ooc) if you want you can always add comments about real life equivalencies on your cultural products, like some famous chess author or something as a way to recommend info to any who might be interested and thus encourage people to add to it and to keep checking this thread for new info.

just to describe this "expertise" of ours.

you watch a movie with a group of people and then you all vote to dictate what the hero should do next or decide how the story will unfold; the majority see where the story goes from there.

you watch a television program and you decide the next sequence of events and watch how your decision carries through.

you read a book and you decide the actions that happen next.

you read a weekly comic book and write to the author what should happen next issue based upon the selection of options available.

that is our cultural strength.
