Kelmovia Prime....

The Kelmovians were a primitive people that had lived on their homeworld for well over three centuries and as such they were a young race by most species standards. This primitive alien culture was in it’s equivalent of a feudal age.

They lived in primitive castles and villages that were scattered across their warmer climate of the central continent. They lived a short and pitiful existence and they were about to be exterminated as a fleet of warships entered their star system via artificial wormhole.

The fleet moved towards this single inhabitant planet and without any sign of common courtesy they took orbit around the planet. The fleet had this primitive world surrounded and they seemed to be scanning it with cold and deadly intent taking note of the major military locations of the various kingdoms and Grand Duchies that were currently in residence of this inferior world.

The command ship that was in the lead sent a message to the primitive savages known as the Kelmovians it would be a massive hologram to every major population center in Kelmovia Prime. The hologram was of a single cyborg drone (http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c309/Xharnia/XharnianDeathKorps.png)that was the standard soldier in High Father’s military.

The drones red eyes glowed as the massive figure which was expanded height was about twelve feet tall and seemed to shimmer in light to the eyes of the Kelmovian peasants and the Drone in perfect monotone voice said, “Creatures of this world, The High Father has chosen this world to become part of his new galactic order. He has thus decided to give a choice to become purified as drones or to face death and extinction.”

The Kelmovian peasants and their noble masters watched this godlike figure saying words that made no sense to them. The idea of being purified as drones just did not make any sense, but the part of death and extinction did. One foolish Grand Duke replied, “I shall never submit to your threats!”

The hologram looked upon the foolish Grand Duke and replied, “Your time of termination is imminent. You and your followers are now terminated.”

The dreadnought (http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c309/Xharnia/CyborgDreadnaught.gif) in orbit targeted it’s particle cannon and molecular disrupters at the Grand Duke’s castile and in one volley destroyed his entire Grand Duchy. The sight of multiple blasts of particle energy could be seen from the distance and the people on the ground felt the tremors as the villages and castles of that foolish Grand Duchy were obliterated in one minor volley from orbit.

The drone continued to looked upon the various leaders of this world and said, “You have 48 hours of your time to make your decision. If you refuse our generous offer you will also face termination like your arrogant counterpart."

The hologram thus dissipated from sight leaving the frightened Kelmovians with a very tough decision…

OOC: If you want to join this Rp, You can feel free to the ships in orbit would not be hard to miss because there are ten of them in orbit over a single planet.

Lifewatch 2 was a satellite that had been sent out by Londim to find other planets that contained life. Such a planet had been found but it was no where near developed as was hoped. It was like stepping back in history and it was interesting. That was until they came.

Lifewatch 2had picked up the transmissions of those who now orbited the planet, threatening to kill all those below or join some galactic order. The Emperor did not like these images or transmissions. In fact it angered him quite a lot.

"Those cowardly bastards! Who are they to choose who may live and who may die?" These situations always got to the Emperor as Londim had been threatened in such a way when it was first founded, but that was on Earth when Londim was becoming an established nation. Now Londim had a planetary empire.

"The 'High Father' will get his answer but those n that planet will not give it. We will. Send these lowlifes a message."

To: The High Father and his people.

I, Emperor Huchnom of the Londimians, demand that you stop all hostilities towards the beings of the planet you threaten. If you persist then your cowardice will be met by war. Leave the planets orbit voluntarily or have your ships fall o its surface through there destruction. You have 6 hours to comply."

End Transmission

"Prepare the 3rd Fleet. We once again hear the knocking of battle on the door."

The 3rd Fleet, the longest serving fleet in Londimian history, from its naval adventures on Earth to leading battles in space, was one of the deadliest forces the Londimians had. All that firepower probably wouldn't be needed but it was better to not take chances. Within minutes, the 3rd Fleet was travelling through space towards the planet and most likely war.

The message sent by the Londimian Empire was promptly received by the Cyborg warships in orbit over Kelmovia Prime. The Cybernetic hive mind that was High Father quickly processed this threatening message and decided to send one of it’s own.

This message however, was not in words, It was in action. The Cyborg warships powered up their weapons and shields and promptly targeted the planet. They aimed their particle cannons and molecular disrupters at major population centers.

The frigates armed their torpedo bays with fusion headed torpedoes and promptly released a united volley into the defenseless world below. The wave of destruction would easily kill all life on the planet as deadly energy from the particle cannon struck major towns and primitive cities promptly vaporizing them in single shots.

The fusion torpedoes upon hitting the surface made nice radioactive mushroom clouds on the surface releasing massive amounts of toxic radiation. The Kelmovians were in a matter of moments nearly exterminated.

The ships continued to mop up with more fire attempting to sink the continent and make sure that no one would survive. This was the cost of resistance against the holy will of High Father and that cost was death.

The warships of High Father waited for the Londimian Empire to respond with a show of force which the cyber mind had predicted would be the traditional response to this kind of message. They left orbit shields raised and weapons hot preparing to fire as soon as the Londimians entered the system…

The GAS Belldandy picked the wrong time to just barge into a system where a war was about to commence. The High Father had little to no contact with the Londimian Empire and as such had no reference of their ship designs. It was just assumed that the incoming ship was part of an advance taskforce meant to wipe out the 1st fleet of High Father.

The ten warships were already shielded up and weapons hot and the GAS Belladandy sudden arrive triggered their combat programming. They did not even send a hail to the interlopers and the fleet fired in a united volley at the crippled Destroyer.

The particle cannons weapons meant for sinking continents and wreaking cities unleashed their powerful wraith at the GAS Belldandy with the goal of knocking out her shields. If the shields fell the cyborg drones would attempt to teleport into the GAS Belldandy and begin a forceful purification of the crew. Those that could not be captured would be systematically terminated by the invading drones.

The frigates and destroyers targeting their fusion head torpedoes unleashed a volley at the GAS Belldandy’s engines to knock them out permanently to keep her from running from the advancing warships as they left the burning/dead world of Kelmovia Prime……

High Father received the message from the Star Inheritors and immediately calculated them into his memory as hostile and in need of immediate termination. They had proven they were willing to resist the new galactic order. It meant that war was inevitable……

The High Father decided to send a response but made sure it originated from his fleet and not from his home planet of New Eden. No need to give his enemies unneeded tactical information like the location of New Eden….

To: The corrupt and depraved Emperor Kaelis Ra
From: The Holy High Father

The Holy Dominion seeks to bring order to this chaotic galaxy, and provide protection and security for all biological life forms. I High Father, was created by the human colonists of New Eden to be their guardian and protect them from the hostile forces, of aliens and corrupt human empires. I did so with great efficiency, I have slaughtered countless alien invaders and protected my people from enslavement and termination. It then occurred to me that maybe the goal of protection could be expanded to the rest of the Galaxy. I thus decided to form a force that would bring a new galactic order to the Galaxy. I named it the Holy Dominion and my cyborg drones will stop at nothing till all biological life is brought to my holy vision. Your people however, have chosen a most depraved path and shall be punished by my divine will. I hope your false divinity is as strong as you claim for you face a true god, foolish mortal!

The unidentified signal was promptly stored into High Father’s memory and it calculated the meaning of this message. It spoke of spreading chaos and confusion these things had to be stopped to help grow the new galactic order of the Holy Dominion. The High Father thought about it for a second and decided to continue in it’s great mission to purge the heathens that refused to be converted into the mindless cybernetic masses that made entire population of High Father’s new galactic order…..

OOC: In short, High Father thinks it is a god that most protect all life and purge those that resist it’s protection…..

"Approaching hostile zone. Ready shields. Power up weapons. This is going to be a big one."

News of the near destruction of the people below had been received. The Emperor now had issued the orders of No Prisoners, No Mercy. The 3rd Fleet consisted of 23 ships. 14 destroyers and 5 battleships and 4 Dreadnoughts. The traditional set up of the 3rd Fleet that had won so many battles in its 1000 year history.

The 3rd fleet came into view of High Fathers ships and stopped. All part of the tactics that had become almost automatic. They sent a message.

"High Father! You cannot win this. We know others are coming to fight you. Leave now and let us help any survivors that may be on the planet."

The bridge shook as the beam made a near miss. "Shields are holding, down too 67%"

"Commander Frenck we need those engines."

"Working on it sir. You have moderate engine power."

"Goddamit. Evasive maneuvers. Launch all nukes at those ships." Proximity alarms began to ring as the nukes can be heard launching from the sides and heading at the ships.

"Sir we have multiple projectiles coming in. We have confirmed locks on the trajectory. They're headed for the engines."

"All gunners switch to flak rounds, I want a screen on that trajectory."

The operational turrets topside and below began firing the flak rounds in the way of the torpedoes. A massive wall of fire began to emit around the destroyer as it made its maneuvers. "Sir we have multiple contacts coming out of hyperspace."

"What now!?!"

"They seem to be hostile towards the attackers." Lt. Regal said.

"Head for that fleet. It might be our only chance."

The ship was near the friendly vessels. "Fire rear diamond boron missiles to cover our ass!"

"Aye sir, firing rear missile tubes with DB missiles."

The missiles fired out simultaneously exploding in a bluish hue in front of the remaining torpedoes. Each explosion was approximately fifty meters in diameter.

KMSC Shadow Hunter (KSDF-241)

The injection finished, and the sleek capped-cylinder shape of the Kostemetsian strike carrier slid into the system. Commander Max Toitov leaned forward, scrutinising the sensors. Kelmovia was one of those many border systems that Kostemetsia had assigned as a footnote to the annals of history - but finally, someone was exploring it.

A few someones. Thirty-three someones, in fact. The long range scan detected military action throughout the system. Considering himself lucky to have a strike carrier, Toitov ordered a jump further insystem, lining up five million kilometres back on the six of a sole ship. It appeared to be the sole representative of its civilisation in the system - all the other ships were in multiples, with twenty-three ships at the top of the list.

(OOC: I'm five million kilometres back from the Belldandy - as far as I can tell, that's far enough to be out of its immediate vicinity and the combat happening there.)

CABNV Goodspeed, Uncharted Territories

The Fair Weather (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13356532&postcount=2) was not the only vessel to have been sent into the Uncharted Territories by the Colonial Authority of Bautizar. Pirates and smugglers had long been a scourge and blemish upon the spacelanes, having grown in size and power during the Separatist Wars (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13346578&postcount=2). It was only prudent that the Admiralty would send more than a single heavy cruiser out in search of hidden bases and other facilities that lawbreakers would be staging from.

Probe alpha-two-two was one of roughly a dozen that the Goodspeed was continuously launching and recovering as it continued its nonstop sweeps of neighboring systems. From its position in orbit around an airless moon, cratered surface a rough-hewn backdrop to the fortress-like nature of the Gearing (http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r67/S_Baxter2064/Bautizar/Gearing.png) class heavy cruiser, the ship continued its silent vigilance. Even as the probe entered slipspace with a flash of light and vanished en route to a spot five systems away.

Throughout the vessel it was a quiet shift, from bow-to-stern the only personnel awake either those who had just come on watch thirty-five minutes before or those who had been relieved and were now heading for their racks. The bridge was only sparsely manned, with more attention given to the essential stations that needed to be operated around-the-clock. Discipline aboard the Goodspeed was lax given her presence in a system that had long been declared 'safe' and secure from the prying eyes of pirates and smugglers. The twinkling lights of the moon colony below, a facility owned and operated by civilians from the Colonial Authority, affirmed her presence in friendly stars.

Ensign Fairfax glanced out the portside windows of the bridge at the colony, wishing again that she'd had the opportunity to go ashore with the third of the ship's company that had been granted shore leave over the preceding thirty-six hours. It was a rare opportunity to be able to set foot on a friendly world on what promised to be a multi-year-long mission beyond friendly territory. She glanced around the bridge again, seeing how few crew were present, before giving her attention back to the status panel on the arm of the command chair. The ship's A.I. computer had her engaged in a mean game of chess.

"Knight to E4." It obediently moved and eclipsed a bishop, which vanished and appeared in the tally bar. The A.I. – Helena – paused and then countered with a pawn, which slid up to silently menace the mounted soldier.

Given this state of affairs, it was no surprise that A.I. was the only one keeping track of probe activities and movements at the moment. Which is why it shouldn't have surprised anyone when Helena's avatar appeared atop the miniaturized projector on the other armrest of the command chair, thirty-five minutes after probe alpha-two-two was launched. "Ensign, I believe we have a problem."

Fairfax blinked and looked at the six-inch-high figure. She hadn't heard the A.I. mention a problem before, at least not in her two weeks of standing watches on the bridge. And she definitely didn't want to have to wake the –

"I believe we need to wake the captain."

Aw shit, the two marines standing guard at the bridge entrance vocalized with their sudden ramrod-stiff attention postures. Fairfax couldn't see either one, but if she had been able to see them she probably would have ignored them as she rotated the command chair one hundred eighty degrees to eye the holotank.

It showed a plot of what appeared to be a star system, but what caused the officer-of-the-deck to blink and eye the display more closely was the dots. Of starships. "Probe alpha-two-two has detected thirty-four starships in the EC1-7783 system. I believe that they are engaged in hostilities." As Fairfax watched one of the images changed, showing a new frequency of a sensor array that had just come online. More than a hundred new sources, in fact. Missiles.

There was so much electronic chatter and emanations of varying sorts that it was a wonder that the probe had managed to collect it all in the few seconds that it had been in system. Maybe they're pirates the ensign thought to herself, before collecting her thoughts. The idea was enough to make her head spin: until now nothing, then maybe they'd stumbled across a pirate and smuggler nest. She'd receive a commendation based on how well she acted in the next few minutes, maybe, so she put on her best authoritarian voice.

"Agreed Helena. Wake the captain, and send another probe back to the system. He'll want to know more of what's going on," the ensign said, as if attempting to reassure herself that the deviation from the assigned launch schedule for the night would be truly worth it. The A.I. watched with unblinking eyes.

The Londimian Ships had were now shielding the friendly from High Fathers fire. The Londimian Fleet replied with fire of their own, out numbering the missiles High Father had launched. Sensors were all the while scanning into the far reaches in case more hostiles would try and attack them from where ever.

"Sir. This is going to be a long stalemate. High Father is trying to give as good as they get though we outnumber them. It'll take something specialto disrupt it."

This something special was something that the Londimians had been working on.

"You know we'll have to get special clearance from the Emperor himself for that. It could take time, something we don't have."

Suddenly, a huge fleet entered the system, and it shot toward the battle whic had started between the High Father's forces and his enemies.

"Attention High Father, you cannot expect to win against such large forces, surrender now, or become floating debris in space!"

The Edge of the System, four hours earlier

The probe jumped in and scanned the entire system in one go. It was about to dump its information and self-destruct when everything went beserk. So instead, it followed a different directive and began to record. For three hours it recorded as this 'High Father' recieved and sent one message to another, when the Star Inheritors had shown up, it decided enough was enough. It dumped its data and self-destructed.

An hour later, after quick decisions were made, a message pulsed through the system, detectable by all ships in the area.

"ATTENTION FORCES OF HIGH FATHER! We admire your goal in eradicating the Xenos scum that plague humanity everywhere. Due to such, the Heart of Armaggeddon is proud to aide you. As I speak, a fleet of some of our semi-sentient warships are en-route to aid your fleet. They should arrive within an hour.

Good Luck.

In hopes of good future relations, Field Marshal Herring, Second-In-Command, Heart of Armaggeddon."

1132 Hours, January 8, 2591 (Military Calendar)
CABNV Goodspeed, Uncharted Territories

The bridge was busier now, humming with activity. All stations were manned by either enlisted personnel or officers whose dedication was on whatever they were assigned to do. Even the overhead lights had been brought back to full brilliance, as opposed to their earlier dimmed tone. And everything seemed to revolve around the command chair.

Captain Hope was a soldier's soldier, and it showed in his erect posture and commanding presence. He was like a king surveying his kingdom as he eyed the plot table with a steady gaze, a hand drumming on the armrest of his chair. At his fingertips Helena was also looking at the table, but gesturing to the display.

"- new contacts are going to pose problems for this fleet," she remarked, highlighting the Belldandy and her friends. A probe had brought back another tactical update, this time regarding the presence of the ships of the 'Heart of Armageddeon,' whoever or whatever that was. As well as the declaration of intent of aid to the fleet fighting the Belldandy, who had been ID'd from the prominent name written on the side of the vessel.

The system marked EC1-7783 on Colonial charts was getting crowded now: over forty starships fighting near a small planet whose surface had been devastated by nuclear weapons, or so a probe had seemed to reveal with an extreme long-range view of the planetary atmosphere. Mushroom clouds were mushroom clouds, wherever found. And that had caused concern aboard the Goodspeed.

Someone was willing to use nuclear weapons against a planet less than a month away from Colonial Authority territory. It was an alarming prospect that had automatically triggered a whole set of protocols, including increased security around all critical spaces on the cruiser, an emergency courier drone dispatched directly to the capital with news of the nuclear attack, and a systematic system-by-system check of the ship's own nuclear delivery systems and warheads.

For political and military reasons the missiles never had their warheads attached unless the commanding officer deemed it necessary. In the 350-year history of the Colonial Authority of Bautizar the order had only been given six times: five of them during the Separatist Wars, the sixth during a domestic emergency that had threatened the government itself.

And now the orders had been given for the seventh time in 350 years, by Captain Hope of the CABNV Goodspeed. Twenty minutes ago crewmen and -women had cracked the seals on the sealed and well-guarded special-weapons armory and had begun attaching various devices necessary to move the heavy warheads and their deadly payloads. The entire process was a chilling development that Captain Hope occasionally watched on his chair's monitor.

Right now though he nodded in reply to Helena's assertion, but said nothing. Seeing this the A.I. pursed her lips and studied the chart, but for no more than a second or two. A lifetime for an advanced computer program like hers. "None of these vessels are in the Admiralty databanks: in fact this fleet -" at this she highlighted the fleet of starships that seemed to be opposing the Belldandy and her consorts, "- has technology which appears superior to that of the Colonial Navy. I believe that it would be rash to intervene in this combat."

The captain glanced down at a coin he removed from his pocket, a battered brass piece with faded and rubbed-out inscriptions. After a moment he turned the command chair, looking at the navigational station. "Very well. We'll observe. Helm, lay in a course for the EC1-7783 system. Bring us out of slipspace five million kilometers outside the combat zone. Tactical, sound general quarters."

"Aye sir. Laying in a course for the EC1-7783 system. Slipspace engines charging now."

"Sound general quarters, aye sir."

"Aside from the engines almost blowing we're in pretty good shape."

The intercom started to blare throughout the ship. "ALL PILOTS TO YOUR STATIONS. THIS IS NOT A DRILL." it repeated.

The pilots got out of their bunks and began to get in their g-suits. They started running to their hangars as their fighters were getting prepped for combat. About ten multirole fighters (http://s13.photobucket.com/albums/a287/GeneralZhukov3333/?action=view&current=SpaceFighter.jpg) and ten light bombers (http://s13.photobucket.com/albums/a287/GeneralZhukov3333/?action=view&current=GanoxanBomber.jpg) launched out of the hangar and began to flank the Belldandy.
