New Emperor Declared

News broadcast from the Imperial News Services, Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
At approximately 1430 hours, Imperial Officials declared the choosing of Gen. Skye Grimnar to become Lord General Skye Grimnar I, Emperor of the Imperium.
Until now the Prime Minister, Mr. Logan McDonald, had been fulfilling the duties necessary to keep the Imperium rolling along. The Emperor will take control of the Imperial Armed Forces at a ceremony at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage tonight. His first official duty will be to inspect the newly formed Basic Airborne School at neighboring Ft. Richardson.
We wish to invite you to his coronation at the newly completed Imperial Palace complex at a time and date yet to be determined. It will include the coronation ceremony followed by a demenstration from the Wolf Guard (the Imperial Palace 's defense regiment) Silent Drill Team and an aerial demenstration from the Eagles, the Imperial Air Force's aerial acrobatics team, flying newly aquired F-15Ks.
Following the nights official events the Emeror has requested one more event. Citing his love for metal music, he has requested that bands be brought in for a metal festival officially named "IceFest '08." Bands from all over the world are being invited to sign up. IceFest will take place at Merrill Field.
In his only official statement so far he said, "This really is a great honor. I wish success to our delegation currently in talks with the Empire of Errikland and may they only be the first of many fruitful alliances."
