The Grand Imperial Federation of Faxanavia wishes to claim Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, Laos, Myanmar, and the part of Malaysia that has Thailand and Singapore on either side (not the island part, though.) I wish my color on the map to be dark blue.

OOC: The map dosen't seem to be loading up may just be my computer, so as I can't see who has what but from what i can gather from the threads I would like to claim Indonesia including East Timor (Timor Leste) and Paupa New Guinea. Or if you have decided to but the great continent of Australia in amongst Asia then I would like to claim that (also if possible, perhaps not but just in case)

The Constitutional Monarchy of Gaudland claim as a protectorate the tiny area of Chefoo(the city + harbour and only a space that is 5 miles or 8 km around)(located in the northen coast of China).Our glorious nation also claim the small islan of Kunashir who is nort of Hokiado island that we do not claim.

We welcome every nations in our protectorates but we will defend tehm although our positions is benevolent neutrality.

Noting Democratic Eurasia's problems in claiming to large an area- I would like to claim as much of Russia as I'm allowed to. That Eastern chunk especially, and the northern islands but also as much of the coast from the the west inwards as I'm allowed, as far inland as I'm allowed. My NS nation has more than ten billion inhabitants. It would be logical to assume that I could simply claim the whole of Asia and conquer Europe as a bonus, right? Or would that be cheating?

Of course you can have Sulawesi and the Maluku islands, provided my ships are allowed to move through your island waters. Yes I didn't think that Australia would be a part of this, but many people make the mistake that Australia is a part of Aisa and not its own continent this is not helped by those bastards of the media who try and convince us otherwise (I could go on about them and other sections of society on this issue but this is not the time nor the place)

Shame most of what I'm after has been claimed. I couldn't get bits and bobs of Kamchakta could I, if that's not a problem with AR. Mainly because the peninsular has a special historical significance to Weccanfeld.

As for my main claim, I'll nab Central Asia, Afghanistan, Archangelsk, and as much of Russia between those points I can get. I'll leave Pakistan for me and Zaheran to spar over.

Interestingly Calizorinstan claimed Afghanistan as I was posting. So land around the black sea and a land route to it will have to suffice.

I think you should treat it as an alternate after all I don't think this is the first time that there has been a land grab for Aisa and I don't think it will be the last. I don't know how you have RP'ed in the past but there are many nations which have made their map by imposing their land over a section of RL earth but have not RP'ed it as such rather just using the land as a base plate for their own country.

Other more experineced RP'ers may have something else to say to help clarify this otherwise what I say is true

Just assume this is an alternative earth or at least a completely different part of NS Earth. Lot's of places in NS Earth look conspicuously like places in RL so you could hypothetically claim the areas that contain you nation, and it would be a completely different place, with just the same outline.

IC: The Ships didn't have far to travel, it was a modest quarter of the Earth's surface compared to the near-half way trip it took to get to Uir Es Afirik or the half-way trip it took to get to Uir Os Afirik.

The ship crashed landed on one Uir Inidosina. They also had the Maluku Akipelago, the Filipino Akipelago and the Laderones Akipelago. Collectively they were Uir Asa. The settlers didn't have to go far to find a village which was called Hanoi, renamed Hano and named the capitol. They made the local King Head of Government of Uir Inidosina. They then went to all the claimed territories giving local rulers the power of internal affairs within their particular area. Shame most of what I'm after has been claimed. I couldn't get bits and bobs of Kamchakta could I, if that's not a problem with AR. Mainly because the peninsular has a special historical significance to Weccanfeld.

As for my main claim, I'll nab Central Asia, Afghanistan, Archangelsk, and as much of Russia between those points I can get. I'll leave Pakistan for me and Zaheran to spar over.

Interestingly Calizorinstan claimed Afghanistan as I was posting. So land around the black sea and a land route to it will have to suffice.

They came on ships of steel and iron, travelling from New Calcutta in VATICAN (Vantanian African Territries In Continental Africa's Name) to Vantanas. However, as was recorded by the natives, a storm blew them off course, and soon they had arrived in China. There, they set up a coastal city, and eventually brought in assistance from Vantanas. The Vantanians division sent to aid, however, found a ghost town, full of skeletons. Angered, the militia invaded China, and destroyed the kingdoms of the south. Then, arriving upon Tibet, they were converted to Buddhism. Weeping over their actions, they asked the Tibetans for forgivnance, and they gave it. The Tibetans bonded with their Vantanian brothers, and were soon incorporated into the rest of China, and civilians moved to and fro peacfully.

Soon, the Vantanians from other tracks of the Earth came to this area, and it was officially incorporated into the Free Republic as the Colony of Chinotibet. Modern cities began popping up all over the colony, and soon adventurous Vantanians established a new colony further south, and it became profitable as a part of the spice trade, the Colony of Indie Orient. Finally, African traders going to bring their goods established the Colony of Indie Oceanic as a way point to China and the East Indies. Life was good in the Vantanian Asia.

Blouman East India

Four convoys had been launched to begin the initial settlement of the East Indies one was sent to Lope Island (RL Sumatra) this would be the where the Governor of Blouman East India will be based and all administrative decisions made. Another to the Island of Java, another to Kraland (RL Borneo) and the final fleet of ships to Kalevala (RL Paupa), these four islands is where the first settlements will take place, as time goes on more isalnds will slowly be inhabited including the Luke II islands (RL West and East Tenggara and east timor) named after the prince of Braxon, a quick survey of the new colony found that it contains 17,508 islands of which only approximatly only 6000 are suitable for settlement.

The first ship landed on Lope amongst the free settlers who would help to farm this place was the 6th engineer regiment who had just finished at New Landronan and was now constructing government buildings, and important infrastructure. A large amount of the rest of the settlement (proclaimed Chelsea after the Emperors wife), would be built by the Regarmar Wood company and New Regarmar Chipping, which had won the two tenders to have access to large areas of forest on Lope and Java for the woodchipping needs in exchange for their payment for the required building of houses, seaports and roads to link the settlements this work is being done by private industry.

IC: The imposing figure of Friedrick Morrison cast a long shadow as he stepped down onto the tarmac. He wore a plain black suit- nothing fancy. A hat sat jauntily on his head, and in his left hand he held a long, black cane which, although unapparent to the naked eye, contained a hiden sword. Several men followed him from the small jet, carrying several pieces of luggage. Finally, a guard stepped down, and escorted the Governor to a small black car which had been waiting for the him. Climbing into the passenger's seat, Friedrick sat back. One of the men in the back made a phone call into the city of Hano, to find out where, exactly, they were supposed to go.

President Adriana Snow was doing her best to not look tired, and so far was doing a good job. She had just come from Aegitto to see the coronation of the new Emperor of Nippon.

The Late Emperor had passed away several months ago leaving the Land of the Gods in turmoil. Cookborough had first started trade with Japan only a few years back and it had been booming, until the death of the Emperor. Fearing an end to their relationship Cookborough had stepped in to restore order, and it had all paid off. Several other regions surrounding Japan had also been incorporated: Taiwan, Korea, Amur, and Manchuria.

Together these five states would be called the Empire of the Golden Sun, or the Naishu. Together they would dominate the trade in Eastern Asia. Together they would reign supreme.

Adriana looked around the room again there were 2 other Emperors, one from Manchuria and one from Korea present and 2 other Presidents, One from Taiwan and the other from Amur. This was on top of the various diplomats as well. They would all be in Tokyo, which would be serving as the capital of the new federation, for an initial summit...and also sign a treaty with Cookborough basically making it a new protectorate. It had been tough to broker the Cookboroughans had their own effective ways... Other than that they were completely in control of their own affairs.

It was a lovely ceremony, and afterwards there was a reception outside in the gardens where the cherry blossoms were in bloom. Adriana smiled shook hands and met people, but really wanted nothing more than to take a nap.

All the claimed land had now been incorporated into the young colony, with almost no resistance from the local inhabitants. Some were conscripted into labour or military service, but the wages were generous and the work no harder than they were used to, so few complained. New machines made agriculture easier and the harvest greater. Business flourished as tea, cotton and sugarcane were sold in great quantity to customers and industries in Zaheran. As the industries slowly grew, the agricultural products were followed by steel, various chemicals and textiles. The cities more and more looked like their counterparts in the Empire. Still, vast areas were under little or no control of the government. The civilized areas grew as farmers and businessmen explored more and more of the country, looking for land and profit.

Humza came into the office of President three months ago, intent on establishing Buristan as a player in regional affairs, if not the affairs of the world over. One of the only Asian nations to possess dependencies in Africa, Humza felt that much was needed to expand Buristani influences in that region as well, but for now, he was content with focusing regionally right now.

Buristan hereby claims the Spratley Islands and their surrounding waters as the property of the Republic, any other claims upon the island chain will not be recognized by the Republic.

The plane touched down gently in the airport, skidding to a stop. With a smile to the pilot, the two delegates, one native and one not, were escorted out with several pieces of luggage. Dawning their caps to prevent the Asian rains from getting to them, they entered the airport. Soon, after navigating through the rather busy airport, they had arrived at the main entrance. Walking out briskly, the diplomatic team entered a pre-arranged limo which sent them towards the meeting area.

Delicately, Katran plucked the tea leaves off of the bush. Wiping her gloved hands against her brow, she put the full basket of on the automated cable, and then grabbed an empty one. Soon, she had finished her rows, and punched out of the farm.

Now, back at home, she flipped through her diary. The heavily thumbed over arrival day of the Vantanians opened first. Ships arriving at night, and discussions with the chief. There had been hostility by the chiefs, until the Vantanians showed them the power of their goods. Then, while the chiefs were drunk from parties over the Vantanians, they were killed in their sleep and the Vantanians took over.

Then she flipped forward a bit, and a new page fell open, the formation of the Vante Indie Orient Company, growing various spices, and of course, tea. Half of the population of Indie Orient worked for the VIOC, and over three quarters of the exports were from the VIOC.

Chinotibet

Phillip sighed, as he walked from one cottage to the next. This village, nestled into the Plateau of Tibet, or as the Vantanian's called it as a region of the Colony, Terra's Roof, was very uninterested in the missionaries' message. They had a long, familial tradition of Buddhism, or Hinduism, or Shintoism, or whatever it was this colony followed. Still, it was but a minor setback, as a steady following of the Vantecian Church converted followers of these eastern religions. The missionary organization doing all the work, the Army of God, was wracking in plenty of money for the Vantecian Church, and the Vantanians were spreading the faith to this dark continent.

It was oh so cold. Captain Abar was pretty sure they shouldn't have come through the northern rote, but his most honorable passanger insisted. Then all he had to do was thank for the ship's ice breaking device and the bottles of cognac. They arrived in a white land, and he couldn't possibbly know what the Government could possibly want with this place.

At least Lord Aneil of Loprais thought so. After all, he was the Lord of Zarblis' coldest region and was very used with this kind of climate. It felt just like home.

Friedrick's vehicle had now arrived in Hano city proper, and he was cruising through it, marveling at the wonderous sites. His car finally cruised to a stop at some fancy hotel. Two men carryed his bags in for him, and up to the pre-rented room. There, once settled, Friedrick made phonecall. Specifically, he made a phonecall to the Uiri officials who had set up this meting. He needed to know where it was going to be.

"Hello?" the Uir secretary picked up the phone. After hearing the request for knowledge of the meeting place she looked at the location of the caller before saying, "Can you prove you aren't a terrorist?"

IC: A medium sized yacht glided slowly across the water, slowing entering the Port of Aden. On the shores, countless onlookers stood, waving Yemeni and Mephrasian flags, waiting to catch of glimpse of the new governor. As the yacht neared the dock. A middle-aged, short man strolled out onto the dock. Flanked by ten members of the imperial guard, he smiled brightly and waved to the crowds as he approached the waterfront. He was further accompanied by a small entourage of government bureaucrats who would help run the territory in the new era.

A small platform had been constructed on the waterfront, upon which several local leaders sat, many waving fans in the heat of the day. Television cameras had been set up around the stage, ready to broadcast what would be said throughout the empire. The small man walked over to the podium, stopping at each of the leaders to shake hands, and finally approached the microphone. He waited for the crowd to fall silent, and then began to speak.

"People of Yemen, I, Maximillian Grebel, have come to oversea the integration of your nation into the Mephrasian Empire. We do not come to harm you, but rather to better your lives. Too long have you languished under corrupt government and poverty. We shall bring you peace and prosperity. We stand in awe of your ancient land and customs, and shall do all that is needed to ensure that they are honored, while at the same time, open the nation to needed change. Together, we can create of a new era of greatness for our people. Together, we are strong."

With that, the man received applause, and slowly took a seat, waiting for the other guests to speak. While Mephras had gained control of the state weeks before, this day marked the official and ceremonial assumption of power. A similar ceremony took place in Bahrain, where the nation had also assumed power.

Soon to follow him were various civil engineers and contractors who would soon flood the two nations, repairing and creating infrastructure, and improving the quality of life. The task which lay before the groups was large, however, the Mephrasian government was up to the challenge.

300,000 Greal troops arrived in Turkey. First, they had to deal with the Kurdish "problem" down south, next they had to put guard posts at all borders. And the army had to establish a police force in Turkey. Some Turkish civilians welcomed the army as they headed down south.

Over a year of the stuff had made Líneláréow Godwine (or Sergent Godwine, as he often called himself in front of foreigners not familiar with Weccanfeld's ranking system, at the risk of a berating by his more nationalistic superiors) simply not bother. There was a time when he would launch himself headfirst into combat, guns blazing and war cries ringing around. But no amount of 'Fatherland First' propaganda films and leaflets, no amount of old films showing valiant heroes killing the decade's least favourite foreigner, no amount of patriotic speeches by the would get him back into that frame of mind. Not knowing that he had achieved his position because of other people making that fatal mistake. That, and being as lucky as he was.

He wasn't lucky in the traditional sense. He couldn't dodge a sniper's bullet or be able to destroy a tank with nothing but a sock and half a stick of dynamite. It was the ability to stay out of those situations that was his skill. He knew exactly when to be in sight, and out of it. And it was this that had allowed him to dodge both the bullets of the enemy and of the fatherland's own firing squads. It was for this reason alone why his nickname was 'Scabby'.

And once again, his sixth sense had come up trumps. He had heard the order to make his way back to Kirov to build a base for the division to sit out the winter, and perhaps even kill some rebels from. But he hadn't heard it. A blizzard was blowing outside the hut he was sitting in, and that provided the perfect opportunity to sit around and generally blow off work. Once the storm had ceased, he could return saying how a massive snowstorm snowed him into a small hut in the countryside, and how he was unable to receive any orders due to 'atmospheric resistance' or some rubbish. Or, he could remain for a couple of days after that, and say how they had to fight a couple of rebels on the way. The possibilities really were endless.

The day went on. The winner of the poker match was eventually accused of cheating by all parties, and was made to concede his winnings due to rule of mob. One of the soldiers came back, and said they had ample supplies for weeks. The men were introduced to the world of bear meat. And as the men began to sleep for the night, Godwine lay awake, pondering his flawless excuse for home.

It was a good job he did. Soon some of those excuses would become reality.

The small convoy of ships rolled past the coastline. 3 civilian transport vessels, hired from private firms based back home in Blaenau, plus two Type 34 Destroyers and four Type 15 Frigates. Above them, at a shade below 45,000 feet, was a squadron of L-12 Transport Aircraft. On board were 3rd Battalion The Princes Household Guards, along with 1st Regiment Guent Cavalry, equipped with the recently modified Ryfelwr Infantry Fighting Vehicle. This was, of course, the journey to newly-founded Blaenau West Indian colonies (Bangladesh and Hong Kong)

Upon landing, the troops prepared to move out to Dhaka, BWI's capital city. From there, they would begin a simple 'hearts-and-minds' exercise in rural BWI, where the people were disconnected from the outside world and probably unaware of the new governance in their country. They didn't expect much trouble: this region had always been peaceful, as long as the Government didn't interfere with the peasants lives too much.

Meanwhile, the ships had come in to dock and the new colonials were transported to their new homes. Delegates, ambassadors and regional governors were told that the BWI Governor, Duke Williams of Eist-Hobe were briefed on their particular duties, then transport was arranged for them to get wherever they needed to be.

At approximately 15:00 local time, Prime Minister Aaron Bowen got a phone call. It was on the offices direct line; the most secure phone line in all of Blaenau, save for those in and out of Room 15.

"Prime Minister, it's the Duke. All is going well. We have the military set up in the North and West Garrison, all officials have been briefed and so far, the takeover has run smoothly."

"Well, for now, it's up to the local governors to introduce us to the locals. The Army and Air Force are on 30 minute readiness, 24/7, but we don't expect much trouble. The only area likely to cause us any trouble is the north of the region. But it shouldn't be anything the military can't handle."

The governor was pleased with this and entered the car along with Jason and one bodyguard a large beast of a man who was discreetly armed with a M&P45. Jason gave the name of the hotel to the driver and off they went, the plan was to check into the hotel and then go straight away to the summit. The Governor sat down and took a couple of sips of coke, the heat and humidity was not something he was used to. He replied to Ken's proposition, "I agree with you completely we do indeed need too form some sort of alliance in order to ensure that we are protected, however, I will need to know the details of this alliance, and I will only have authorisation over the colony and the troops stationed in it, of course in saying that the emperor may allow more troops to be sent over should the case may be."

What's left out there?

In the Mephrasian colonies, people were on the move. In Yemen, for years known as one of the poorest areas on the planet, infrastructure was being built. Clean running water was being extended quickly so that the entire populace would soon have access. Food aid was being shipped from the mainland, until agriculture could be improved. Experts hoped that soon irrigation would allow the desert areas of the country to bloom and allow for greater food production. Hospitals were also being constructed in the urban areas, and mobile units were assigned to cover the sparsely populated areas. The government had also commenced construction of communal living blocks, in order to house those living in substandard conditions. While the initial investment was high, Mephras had no doubt that soon the colony would stand on its own two feet.

In Mephrasian Bahrain, which had a higher standard of living, an emphasis was placed on expanded trade. New laws were being introduced, and some infrastructure was also created. Port facilities were increased and modernized. The petroleum industry was also protected and improved upon, and management of this key resourced was an important part of Mephrasian plans for development. Educational facilities were also constructed, in order to bring new ideas to the colonies, and to unite the new territory and the mainland.

The fighting had been heavy the Imperial forces had encountered much resistance, the forces had landed 10kms southeast of what the locals called Muscat, the aim was to implement control over Namo (RL Oman) and ensure that the oil fields within this colony will be protected by the Imperial Army. As the units approached the units being 15th Infantry Regiment, Empress' Royal Hussars (4th Cavalry Regiment) and the 9th Cavalry Regiment. Taking Muscat took a total of three weeks to invade, while the residents only had outdated guns the complexity of the twisting streets and alleyways gave them a slight advantage, where the men of the 15th had to fight street to street building to building, the frigate which had escorted them there had fired off 25 LAM in at various locations in the town as well as the 6 inch gun firing on the port infrastructure, this initial fight have claimed the lives of 10 men and injured 50others. The rest of the area was slightly easier to take control over it took another 6 weeks to take approximately half of the Namo, by this time the 2nd Aviation Regiment and two companies of the 7th Infantry Regiment had been deployed to serve as reinforcements, a further 3 men had died and 10 men wounded, small guerilla warfare groups still hid out and harassed the Imperial Army as well as other Blouman related structures but slowly but surely the army was weeding them out.

The Army's main job now was to protect the oil fields and oil lines which lead to the Muscut, where the port had recently been rebuilt, in an attempt to try and make peace with the remaining townsfolk, those who had not been killed or ran away many of the destroyed buildings were being rebuilt, to try and make life get back to normal. The Royal Promdranian Oil Company had won the bidding to tap the oil fields, of course this had come with some restrictions 75% of all oil drilled will be given to to the government for its strategic use for the price of 40% on the current price of oil, the other 25% of oil may be sold on the market by the company, however, a royalty must be paid on this oil. The proceeds from the royalties are being used to pay for the deployment of troops in Namo as well as infrastructure within the colony. Although there would be opportunity for civilians to immigrate to Namo this program had been suspended due to the fighting and continued civil unrest, the colony is still under military control under the command of Colonel John Miller DSC PPM

Kurdish area, Turkey

The Kurdish saw the takeover of Turkey as a chance to declare independence. Bad move.

A hour after the Kurdish declared independence, Sanliurfa, which was occupied by Kurdish rebels, were attacked by a division of Greal troops and the rebels were wiped out in the battle. The rebels that escaped tried to take revenge by attacking in large numbers, the Greal army was hit hard, but a Greal major rallied his men and managed to beat back the rebels.

More Greal divisions entered the Kurdish area. Hundreds of rebels were killed or captured, the Greal army suffered a hundred dead or wounded.

The first wave of transport aircraft, 12 Pablicosta Aerospace Systems Tigris jets sat on the tarmac at the base of operations just South of Beijing. The crews, some forty men and women had just wrestled 12 of the large Tigris jets onto the ground, each one loaded with equipment to receive the second wave of transporters which would arrive at midnight. The massive PAS Tycoon aircraft were already en-route, loaded with cargo, essential to the initial growth of this new colony into a provincial superpower in Asia.
Patroling the base were the 1st and 2nd Anchor Divisions, (affectionately nicknamed the "Home-Away-From-Home-Guard") masters of the T-9a medium attack tank which were circling the perimiter fence.
As the flight crews began to walk away from the aicraft that had carried them for the last 13 hours, the ground engineers set about unloading the cargo and transporting it to the runway side. It was 2pm, giving the engineers exactly 10 hours to extend the runway by 600 yards to allow the massive Tycoon's to land safely.

Elsewhere, in the border regions, Pablicostan Provincial Troops began creating re-inforced positions to defend against any isurgency attacks. Although the Pablicostan government did not expect any trouble from the colonial neighbours, this area had been under tribal rule for some time now, and it was understood that the 'locals' would not be best pleased with the new government.

Extending the runway had been a big ask for Engineering Corp, but their first job at Point Alpha had been a success and already 2 of the collosal Tycoon's had landed and were hastily being unloaded. Their cargo consisted mainly of military supplies and rations, contained on these 2 jets alone were enough suplpies to hold Point Alpha for a year, and there were still 8 of the beasts to arrive.
The primary runway, 15, was reserved solely for the Tigris and Tycoons landings, while traffic on the secondary runway (20) had barely stopped. Every 30 seconds or so a PAS 221 Carrier aicraft would smoke it's wheels on the tarmac, unload it's cargo of 200 soldiers and head back into the sky via the third runway. It was almost like a military parade watching the aicraft land, unload and take off, often spending little over 10 minutes on the ground. This cycle had been going on for almost 24 hours now which meant phase one of the operation would soon be complete, and the troops at Point Alpha could get a well earned hiatus.
Th exit to Point Alpha was the only gap in a 20ft perimeter fence which had been expertly erected by the Engineering Corp before the jets began to arrive Yesterday. The exit, home to four sand bag bunkers and a T-9a Medium Tank which currently served as welcome shade for the 2 on duty guards. Sgt Peter Hay and and LSgt Callum Hunt had been on duty guarding the base for 8 hours, through the mid day heat and now into the evening humidity-it had been a long day. Fortunatley, their relief guards were now arriving and taking up guard positions at the bunkers. Sgt Hay whiped the sweat from his brow and picked up his Op-6 Heavy Rifle and supply bag before heading to intercept the Sergeant who would replace him in command, Sgt Iftel. The pair shared a moment of conversation and shook hands before Iftel officialy took command of the post and Hay was relieved, along with LSgt Hunt.
As they crossed the tyre tracks which constituted a road for now Hay explained to his understudy that Sgt Iftel had explained, briefly, that Point Alpha would be receiving a special air delivery that night, the 1st Elite Ops Unit, specialists in operations behind enemy lines and in urban situations. Sgt Hay encouraged Hunt to come with him to the mess tent to eat before grabbing some much needed shut eye as they would be commanding the Guards Group that would ensure the safety of the EOU's men in the dark tonight.
Hunt acknowledged the advice and agreed before casting his eye to a 40ft vertical pole near the base perimeter, "We best hope they get those lights set up before tonight then ey?" he said jestfully to the Sergeant before moving inside the mess tent.
